@Lynnixo "Randy, where is your sister?"

Words couldn't begin to describe how much Miranda hated when her father called her Randy. It wasn't pretty. Not to mention she wasn't a kid anymore. He seemed to enjoy calling her all kind of nicknames when someone was around. From Mimi to Manda, and that night wasn't any different. It had started the moment Andrew and his father walked the front door.

Mimi, check the food.

Minnie, get the wine.

Mandy, there's a fork missing.

It was embarrassing, mainly because Andrew seemed to enjoy it too. She would hear him secretly snicker behind her, though she was pretty sure he wanted her to hear it. She had only known him for a couple of hours and she already disliked him. Maybe it was because deep down, she knew who he was. Maybe because he was dangerously close to her father, and he had no reasons at all to not tell him what his daughter had done, or who his daughter really was. She was panicking. She wasn't sure if he was the guy that had stopped her from humiliating herself the night of the party, but the fact that he had called her "the whiskey girl" had to mean something, and she needed to find out what it was. Or less dramatically said, ask him about it.

"She went upstairs. She said she was going to make Andrew a drawing." Miranda flashed her father a warm smile while helping him rinse the dishes.

The dinner had gone well. Her father and Mr. Garfield had only spoken about their jobs and how hard it had been the previous week. Miranda, on the other hand, kept her eyes on Andrew, trying to decipher what the hell he meant when he offered her that hateful devious smile of his. But he seemed to avoid her gaze, which only made her more suspicious.

Rinsing the last plate, her father placed it in the dishwasher and shut the door. "Why don't you take Andrew outside to the garden? Me and Mr. Garfield are going to take a sip of that wine you bought last week."

The wine she bought last week... Or the wine she forgot to leave with her best friend. She had to find an excuse for it, and what better excuse than to pretend it was a gift? Honestly, Miranda hated the idea of being alone with Andrew, but maybe this could be the perfect opportunity to make him a few questions, so she was quick to accept. She made her way to the living room where he was sitting on the couch with his father, and she gave him the most angelic smile she could pull off.

"Hey, Andrew. Can I show you something?" She pointed her thumb back at the back door, wanting him to follow her to the backyard.
