The cafeteria is arguably the most dramatic spot in Cyan, as it is a common area for all tribes and dorms. The room is very large with numerous tables and chairs for the inmates to eat at.

@ᴵ ᴱ Jang Hyunseung Sujeong's eyes wander around the big food hall as she search for any place that she could sit at while enjoying her meal peacefully. She might not really worry about the thugs or other prisoner that used with bullying newbies. But at least she doesnt want to start her new day with trouble. Maybe a friend might work it out. She dont need anyone to trust but at least she should try to socialize to make sure she dont die in boredom here. Walking toward a small table at the corner of the cafeteria, she found a guy sitting there alone, eating in silent without giving any care to the noisy people around him. Sujeong crept a small smile as she took steps forward and approach him casually, taking the seat just right in front of the guy and start drinking her milk as she hum her favourite song slowly.

@Kim Jongin "Well I would expect something in return too, if I were them. That's just how business works..." She laughed as a hand drug itself through her hair, fingers lacing themselves through as they brush it. "I'm should I can compromise with some of these people...but I mean for right now I'm fine with just adapting to this ." Her shoulders lifted in a shrug as she laughed dryly.

The topic that the two were discussing made Taissa sweat, she didn't like admitting she was a murderer. She would have much rather been caught with drug trafficking, or assault like most of the population. Hell, at times she wished she WAS crazy so it would seem more comprehendible that she would commit such horrific crimes. It was unlike her to do such things, and she had to live with the fact that something in here died that day along with the others.

Taissa nodded as he told his story, leaning forth and listening intensely as she let out a ragged breath; trying to let it al sink in. Where she was. Who she was with. No one was innocent here, everyone was tainted---tinged with immorality, no matter the pacifist position they claim. "Well, we did what we could, I guess." A reassuring sigh left her lips as her hand comfortingly covered his to give it a pat. "It's probably -ish to push the blame of our doings onto someone else, but I'd rather be known as an than someone who has to live with the fact that they're chosen tendencies are murderous."

@Taissa Farmiga Jongin snorted as he laughed, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it'll work. You're lucky enough if they're fine with just friendship. Most of the people here want something else in return, and I'll tell you that offering to be friends forever ain't gonna help you." He sighed, giving his limbs a little stretch. "But it's worth a shot, maybe they'll like you." It was hard to believe that someone who had the looks just like Taissa would be in prison, but even the most innocent looking ones could be the most dangerous.

A sad smile formed on Jongin's lips as he listened to the other speak, agreeing with every word she said. It was true, Jongin had hit his as well. Flashbacks of when the incident happened ran through his mind, the horrendous memory still clear in his eyes as though it was happening in front of him. Images of his brother throwing punches at him appeared and he flinched at the memory and shook his head. He wasn't proud of it at all, but it had to be done to save his own life.

"Family." The blonde rubbed at his nape as he thought of the proper words to use. "My brother, well he... kind of went overboard and out of defence, I grabbed a kitchen knife and ended up stabbing him at the neck." He chuckled bitterly, "Guess he made me hit my breaking point that day."

@Kim Jongin "Well I'd like to thing that there's some sort of coping mechanism....an acceptance, if you will. Of your fate. It leads you down two roads, one being the bat crazy route, the other road being the kinda sane in basically a mental asylum route." She mumbled on, under her breath before her vision caught a glimpse of what he was pointing to. "I'll make sure to avoid them..." Taissa chuckled in disbelief, before continuing, "I'm probably going to try and avoid everyone but we'll see how that works out."

She was a bit taken aback by the abruptness of his silencer, her eyes skimming over the discarded tray with a smidgeon of hesitance before speaking. "I won't have any funds anyways....so looks like I'm either going to have to befriend the cooks or get friendly with one of the guards. Neither of which I fancy..." She scoffed, rolling her eyes before they landed on him once again, still tainted with a doe-eyed innocence that she couldn't rid of just yet.

It made her skin crawl a bit to know that the man before her committed such a deed, then again it registered to her all over that she had done the same exact thing. And possibly even worse. "I wouldn't say that. I've spent my entire life defending myself without an ounce of lashing back. There's a breaking point for everyone, and I guess I hit mine." She shrugged it off, swallowing the thick smoke of anxiety that clouded her lungs. "I would much rather prefer it if I didn't know what that feels like----but wait-- you killed someone?" The girl went wide eyed, not expecting much from a pretty boy like him. "H-how---? What---did you---?"

@Taissa Farmiga "Those who never get to leave... well, I'm not too sure either." He started off, "Staying here for awhile makes you go nuts, imagine what its gonna be if you stay here forever?" He shrugged, pushing his tray away from him a little, not wanting to continue eating the disgusting meal. "Eh, but I'm not the worst. See that table over there?" Motioning to the group of inmates by their left, he leaned forward. "They, are crazy. Get the same bunk as them and you'd be expected to sleep with an eye open just so they don't do anything funny."

He chuckled, "You gotta try to keep yourself sane, ya know?" Shrugging his shoulders, "No one's here to help you with that but yourself." He smiled a little, shaking his head. Jongin hushed the other instantly, "Shh! You can't say that - they'll hear you." The blonde male looks around and clicks his tongue. "You need to survive, first two weeks your money'll be on hold, so you're stuck with prison food."

"You're not supposed to, but I still do anyway." His expression turned into an impressed one, his eyebrows raised as his lips pursed into a thin line. "Well, well, well. You got spit, goldilocks." Leaning back into his seat, "That makes the both of us then. We've both known what it's like to kill."

@Kim Jongin Her appetite was nearly not their, and even more so when she caught glimpse of the slop the kitchen served. It was quiet around them, but perhaps it was just her ears honing in on the faint thrum of his voice amongst their bubble. His comment enticed a snort from her lips, her hands coming up to card through her hair as she shook her head before meeting his gaze. "And what about those who never get to leave?" Taissa bit her tongue before she could spew more, her warm brown eyes settling on the mush he devoured reluctantly. "Now that you mention it..." She sat up straighter as if it was a precautionary stance, her eyes growing wider before she blinked. "I can see why they would say that."

"But not completely, I like that." Her elbows rested upon the cool metal table, her hands folding together while her fingers etched invisible symbols into her palm. As he rambled on, she found herself heeding his advice, while every once in awhile catching a glimpse of the prying eyes that weighed her down. When her gaze fell upon the mush flopping onto the tray, she held back a gag, covering with her palm as her face showed her distaste in its entirety.

"Oh my god---" Taissa mumbled into her palm before continuing. "Who even makes this...and it's not like I can afford to horde the oreos from commissary." A sigh slipped passed her lips as she scratched her head, her locks becoming slightly disheveled before she froze at his words. "Aren't you....not supposed to ask that?" She inquired, while a nervous tick in the form of twitch in her fingers commenced relentlessly. Her nails dug into the surface, trying to conjure words through a flurry of anxious laughter.

"Two counts of voluntary manslaughter and one count of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.."

@Taissa Farmiga As she sat in front of him, Jongin observed the other, watching her every move closely. He stabbed a slice of the slightly oxidised apple with his fork and shoved it in his mouth, munching on it and swallowed. His expression was flat before a scoff escaped his lips. He leaned forward, shaking his head as his voice turns into a loud whisper. "No one leaves here sane," he started off. "And I've been told, that I'm a complete nutter." The male laughed, probably causing the other to regret sitting with him but he liked to poke fun at the newbies anyway.

"I'm just kidding. I'm Jongin, a little bit crazy, but not completely." He smiled before he continued to eat his meal. "The food here . Don't tell the head chef that though or you'll get starved for days, maybe even weeks." Lifting his spoon to show exactly what he meant, the mushed pile of sloppy meat sliding off the spoon as he scrunched his nose. He hated the food, but that was all they got. The prison doesn't provide with any other food source other than whatever that comes out of the kitchen, and he's either going to swallow the horrible thing they call a meal, or starve to death.

Taking a sip of the only thing that was delicious during meal times (and by that he meant plain water), he raised his brow at Taissa. "So, what's a girl-next-door like you doing in a hell hole like this?"

@Kim Jongin It was a drear and dim outlook, the tenebrous illumination of the lights in the corridors casted shadows onto the visages of each prisoner that drug their feet reluctantly through the walkways. It was nothing less for her, arms crossed curtly against her chest as she quietly observed her surroundings, knowing full well that her doe-like eyes and demure stature did everything but letting her blend in.

It was her first day, and after displacing the few items she was awarded with, into her bunk- she was escorted to the dining hall for lunch. The officer who did so seemed preoccupied; as did almost all correctional staff did here, paying attention to their own mundane bustle. Upon further inspection she trailed the officer's gaze, meeting that of another inmate. The glances exchanged were....kittenish....sly, and oh my god----she realized---With a cough she stood up straighter, acting as though she had just not witnessed what occurred before her. Instead, she shook her head vehemently and snapped out of this trance, trying not to chuckle in disbelief.

As the two entered the tumultuous dining hall, she scanned around at the rambunctious scene before her. There was so much laughing, so much cacophonous caterwauling among the inmates that seemed happily nestled into their prospective groups. But where would she lie? She sure as hell did not fit in here....at least not yet. Her face must have shown it, given away the fact that she was.....well, scared less. Because before she could even step foot above a table to claim a seat and probably get rejected, a handsome, spry young man came bounding her way. The immediate confrontation baffled her a bit, the first friendly connection she's had in this place. But still she was weary, knowing that trust was hard to gain and too easy to break here.

"Oh- alright..." Her voice drifted, the tone carrying a hint of her surprised reaction. "But how do I know you're not one of the crazies" She laughed dryly, trying to crack a joke to alleviate the awkward tension that seemed to follow her endlessly. "I'm Taissa, and you are....? Not crazy I hope---" She took a seat before him, empty hands laying against the cool steel, planate surface.

@Taissa Farmiga It was loud, as usual. Its two months down out of a ton of time. Jongin sighed as he laid down on his mattress, staring at the plain ceiling that made him wish that he had made more time to lay down on the grass back at his home town before he got thrown into jail. At least he could imagine. His back hurt from the hard mattress and he swore that he could feel the metal frame against his back. It wasn't healthy, but he doubts that the officials care. The exhausted male sits up, clenching his jaw as he held back a groan from the throbbing pain that was coming from his ribs. He lifts his shirt to check, and it was indeed still purple. A deep, deep purple that made him flinch every time he moved, but this was all normal to him. He's used to it.

"Get your asses up, inmates! It's lunch time!" The loud voice of the officer echoed throughout the dorm and Jongin clicked his tongue. The blonde haired male got up and made his way to the cafeteria, the orange jumpsuit that was once too bright for his eyes blended well with the rest of his fellow prisoners. He made small talk with several others, and separated as usual when they arrived at the cafeteria. They usually sit in groups, of which they follow their race. Jongin doesn't really care because he ends up alone anyway, and he prefers it that way. Grabbing a tray, he joined the line as he waited to be served horrible jail food.

As he was about to get his meal, he hears the others hollering. Raising his left brow, the slender male looked at the source of the commotion and sees an unfamiliar face walking into the cafeteria with an officer. Is that... fear? Well she looked like a rabbit that's about to be fed to the wolves. He had remembered his first day at Cyan, and it was horrible. Bringing his meal along with him, Jongin made his way towards the stranger. "Hey newbie, follow me. You'd need to watch out for the crazies right there, you don't want to mix with them." Jongin sat at an empty table and waited for the other.
