@Allydia (So sorry for the late reply and only noticing now ;-; I got really busy and I forgot I was even here ;-; but I'm back now and will reply at least once a day ^^)

Lucus had just finished his class and lit his stuff away when he noticed the time and headed out where be was told he would meet the headmistress to have a test, he didn't know what mind of test but he know that he couldn't keep her waiting any longer. Lucus walked out headin to the training grounds actually a little nervous but didn't show it as he walked.

Once he had arived he could feel his nervous finally kick in but told himself that he had to do this, once he was calm enough he walked over to her and bowed respectively before standing up straight once again "sorry for keeping you waiting headmistress" he said as he held onto his bag strap not wanting to seem to nervous in front of her, after all it was only a test right? He thought to himself.
Galen 7 years ago
@Allydia Galen slipped his reddened hands from his pockets and held them out to Allydia. "Alright then.", the Senitel nodded - he would take whatever he could get if it meant getting better at controlling other energies. And the Headmistress was one of the people who could help him. "What are you going to do?", he questioned her.
Allydia [A] 7 years ago
@Galen Given that he only felt a slight shock, she could tell that it was going to be pretty difficult for him to be able to master. He was too used to the other energies and the way they moved through him so he wasn't able to pick out the subtle difference with the fire. That didn't mean he couldn't learn though, it would just have to be a little different than he was used to.

"Let me see your hands." Allydia said calmly as she held hers out to him, palms up and giving off a faint blue hue as she readied the energies needed to aid in his recovery. "Once we get you patched up I will help you. You are going to have to trust me though, it's going to be uncomfortable but I think it will help you grasp it."
Galen 7 years ago
@Allydia Galen wanted to really get better with controlling his powers and learning more to better defend himself or the Academy, but working with an entirely different element was harder than one thought - it was harder to concentrate and often he would subconsciously revert back to the element he was most comfortable and familiar with, making training harder.

"I think I felt it shock my arm, but that seemed to be all I was getting. Now my hand just stings.", Galen sighed as he stuffed his hand in his pocket. "Not much progress made today, I'm afraid."
Allydia [A] 7 years ago
@Galen It wasn't uncommon event for very gifted students to have trouble with an element or two so she sort of understood where he was coming from. They were all different energies with different spirits that could sometimes to be difficult to grasp, especially if someone was already comfortable with the way another felt. For many they could be trying to summon one element and end up calling another out of habit. After mastering one or more elements it became subsequently harder with every new one, trying to start from scratch and basically fighting instinct. Allydia often described it as trying to break horses; training to overcome everything they knew to learn something else.

"Well yeah, it does. Pain can be a great teacher." She reminded him as she stepped closer to Galen, heading for a spot beside the younger male to take a seat. "Do you remember what it felt like when you were burned? Not the pain, but beyond it. The raw power as it passed through your skin, into your nerves and to your brain?"
Galen 7 years ago
@Allydia Galen remembered the times he used to heads with Allydia when they first met; he wasn't exactly the most trusting person and he was very cautious of her at first until she helped him through a very tough time. For that, he was grateful and respected her although they still did clash occasionally.

"That sounds like something you would do.", Galen snorted with a small roll of his eyes. "Does burning my hands a couple of times count?", the Senitel asked with a self-deprecating smile as he glanced at his slightly reddened hands.
Nari 7 years ago
@Keid Nari looked up at the male after placing her arms back down at her sides, his compliment successfully lifting her mood up a little. She knew she had failed, not necessarily knowing why, but she hoped she would soon learn why so she could work on it. Perhaps that was the reason she has always been unable to get better, despite her inherently being clumsy. She always just figured she was simply unable to get better, that just being how she was born. However, Keid's words actually made her feel good. Even if it was a small compliment that didn't mean much, it was still nice to hear, especially coming from someone as skilled as him. She knew he must have understood her struggles, probably going through this himself. Who didn't, though? Everyone great had to start somewhere. Some were just lucky enough to master their power quicker than some.

Nari listened as the boy explained the positive part of her first attempt, nodding occasionally to signal she was taking in the information. She smiled guiltily when he guessed her hesitance from before, nodding once. "I did hesitate. It was usually around that time I lost control, so I was surprised I kept it stable for so long." she replied, sighing softly as she looked down at the ground again briefly. She looked back up when he began his explanation again, her eyebrows furrowing in concentration. "An animal." she repeated to herself before her eyes following him into his sitting position, kneeling down in front of him and crossing her legs as he motioned for her to. The curious girl watched him close his eyes and press his hands together, not closing her eyes like he said to right away. She hesitantly positioned her hands the same way before closing her eyes as well, catching on to what he was doing. She felt the wind start to circle them, her heart pace faster than it was before, from nerves and excitement all together. She took a deep breath and tried to focus on calling to the wind like he said to do, repeating his words in her mind once again to keep her in focus. Before she could process it or really feel anything, she began to successfully call to the wind, it circling around her hands. Nari disconnected them, letting the wind circulate inside as if it was dancing.

"C-Can I open my eyes?" she whispered, not letting herself lose focus to what she was trying to do, even if she didn't know exactly what that was either.

@Lucus Using her hand to block out the brightest rays of the sun, Allydia glanced around the large training circle and wondered just what kind of battle the grounds would see. It wasn't going to be a normal duel, with both participants going all out to try and prove and improve themselves. She was there to administer a test to a student whom she had heard was excelling in his studies. Based on her talks and reports from his superiors, he was quite adept and they believed he was ready for the next step. It was her duty to see that he was and she saw no better way than a series of tests almost like a duel to check how his skills were developing for combat.

The Headmistress brought her hand down again and took a deep breath, making sure that she was relaxed and confident so that the same air might carry over to the student when he got there. These kinds of things were nerve-wracking enough when done by teachers with whom the students were more familiar, she imagined it was even more so for this young man given her station. She was known to be cold and hard when it came to training which made her intimidating. Allydia only hoped he wouldn't let it get to him though and that he would really show her what he was made of. All she had to do was wait for him.
Allydia [A] 7 years ago
@Galen Things between them were still a little uneasy but she took that in stride as she relaxed a little among the stands. The fact that he was at all able to talk to her without it causing a fight was actually one of her proudest achievements. Galen was sort of a symbol to her that she could be more than her past, more than the onslaught of terrible things she had come from and had been a part of. In many ways their loose friendship signaled the start of her new life.

"Believe it or not, no. I burned through my paperwork this morning." she said, enjoying the euphemism though she meant it both figuratively and literally. What was left from the stack she received from the courier was simply two papers and a trash bin midway full of ash. It seemed like her superiors weren't taking the hint yet but she knew they would come around. "So...how far have you managed to get?"

@Semra The doctor didn't fail to see that the other's posture changed and although it was slight, he had a great eye from catching different symptoms and whatnot from his patients. "You needn't be embarrassed or anything though," he smiled. "I will remind myself to do so next time," he laughed softly. "I tend to forget those kinds of things every so often," he smiled sheepishly. "Oh, I see~" he nodded, finding that he was once again, older than someone. "Semra it is then," he grinned. He chuckled softly at the thought of the Sentinels hurting themselves and shook his head in amusement, "Well, I'm not surprised. Some of you really go in hard with the training," he commented.
Nari 7 years ago
@Calcifer Nari noticed how his head swayed a bit, showing that he was dizzy and could possibly pass out. She widened her eyes and nudged him with her hands. "Stay awake, please. Please!" she urged, scared to death that he was dying or something, or even just not wanting to have to carry him to the infirmary because definitely wouldn't be able to without at least a little help from his own will to walk. She knew she would have to take him to the infirmary after this, knowing she could definitely not keep the bleeding held for long.

She flinched as he screamed out, his cries hurting her heart. She's never seen someone in this much pain before, or even this much blood. Her father was injured often from overworking himself to the point all his permanent injuries became worse from when he was a soldier. However, none of that was as bad as this. Even then, it was her brother that cared for her father when he was in pain and needed assistance. She's never done something like this before. She didn't know how to heal, meaning she only learned how to heal by hand. That was only small wounds, however. That would most definitely not come in handy with this situation.

She felt his blood drip down her arms, her hands covered as well with small drops on her legs. She wasn't afraid of blood, but the fact he was losing this much made her nauseous and uneasy. She continued to press her hands onto the wound tightly, waiting until the right time to help him to the infirmary. She watched as the boy closed is eyes and an expression of concentration laid on his face, not knowing what he was doing until she saw just a hint of relief, understanding now that he was trying to heal himself. However, the wound remained with no change, even the littlest of hope leaving her body. "I'll get you to the infirmary. Just work with me a little." she requested, giving him a reassuring look before releasing her hands from his leg.

She stood up from her spot on the ground and gulped, thinking about how she was going to do this. She reached down and slid her arm under his, wrapping around until she had a good hold and started lifting him up, her eyes squeezing shut from his heaviness. It took a while but she eventually got him up with his help despite her slight weakness, keeping one arm wrapped around his back and one hand holding onto his forearm that was slung around her shoulders. "Help me a little, but don't put any pressure on your injured leg. I'll take you to the infirmary." she demanded softly, waiting until he was stable to take a small step, only testing to make sure he was able to help her enough to make it to the infirmary.
Calcifer 7 years ago
@Nari The first thing Calcifer could register was how lightheaded he became. When he glanced around, everything seemed far from him – the girl’s voice seemed dulled out almost, distant and distorted. For a while, all he could clearly hear were his breaths, loud and quick in his ears. The second thing Calcifer noticed was how his vision had darkened, blurred out at the edges. Except, except when he turned to his side he could see her, could see the distress on her face, and even lightheaded, he could sense her panic. He took a deep breath and managed spit out two words, “Hurry. Please.”

And then – and then it happened. Calcifer felt it like he’d felt nothing else, the pain so clear and distinct and /there/, so real, he couldn’t help himself anymore. The scream came out of him loud and straight from somewhere deep inside of him, but he couldn’t even feel the strain on his throat. All he could feel was the ache and the sting on his leg, so intense that it felt almost as though it was spreading throughout the rest of his body. His next breaths were deep then, coming out as whimpers. The lightheadedness was gone now; the pain had woken him up and pulled him out of it.

It took him a few moments to realize why it still hurt, why it still felt heavy. The girl had her hands on him, pressed into his leg. It hurt in a different way, sharper almost. But it was necessary. Even in excruciating pain and unbelievably infuriated, Calcifer knew it was necessary. He sat up, breathing labored, fingers still dug into the ground next to him. He looked at her, at the fear in her eyes, at her trembling, but determined hands, at the blood that had somehow made it halfway up her arm. He swallowed, his throat dry from the pain and from the shouting, before stretching over, crying out a little at the ache that ran up his leg. He wrapped both hands around the knee of his wounded leg, fingers shaking, before taking a few deep breaths and closing his eyes. First, he felt the heat, moving from his chest to his hands to his leg, to his wound. His eyebrow furrowed. He knew that his hands must’ve set into flames, but he didn’t allow himself to open his eyes, afraid to lose concentration. He was only able to keep it for a few seconds either way, his body jolting out of exhaustion. Of course. He had spent all day pushing himself during training, using up all his energy – he barely had any left to heal himself. At the very least, it dulled out the pain. If only just a little bit.

When he opened his eyes, the wound looked just as bad as it did before he’d closed them. He swallowed once more. Looked up at the Haeyari girl, and said, his mouth dry, “I need to get out of here.”

@Keid Nari nodded to his answer, hoping she didn't bother him at all with her practicing. She watched as he lifted his hand up, feeling the gentle breeze blow her hair back a little as he took out a lot of the grass from it and her clothes, looking down briefly as he plucked the stray grass from her hair. She looked back up at him when he spoke, pressing her lips together. "It was. I've been trying to see how far I can go without losing control of it." she exclaimed. She watched him look around, blinking in slight confusion as she tried looking where he was, snapping her gaze back over to him when he offered help. She listened to his explanation of the power, it making more sense as to why she has been failing a lot with Windbolt. She hummed, nodding with an absent expression, taking in his words. "That makes more sense, actually." she chuckled sheepishly, feeling the wind grow around the two. She turned her gaze to his hands that began to summon small balls of wind in his palms, her lips parting in awe. The way he controlled the wind amazed her, loving how he controlled it so smoothly. She watched the balls of white wind that swirled around in his hands before shooting across the field, turning her head to follow them before hitting the target.

"Wah! That was really good!" she chimed, turning her body to face him with an excited grin on her face. Her grin dropped slowly to an unsure expression, blinking a few times as he adjusted her arms as his were previously. "I don't think I could do it as good as you..." she mumbled with a slight pout, but did as he said. She was nervous, now knowing how good he was and didn't want to embarrass herself, or even hurt him if something went wrong. Of course, she had kind of mastered summoning wind, but she was still unstable with it and had a tendency to mess up. She focused on her hands, glancing up at him as he spoke. When he smiled to her, she felt a little bit of reassurance. She wondered if he had to go through this too. She's only ever trained with her father or by herself, neither of them working out very well. However, her father put a lot of pressure on her, and she couldn't train herself of course. Maybe this was a good thing, to have help from someone who knew what they were doing without having a deep connection with her that could make her feel inferior. She smiled back at the taller with determination in her eyes now, dropping her eyes back down at her hands. "Trust myself." she repeated in a whisper to herself.

She recalled what he did first, successfully calling the wind to her own palms like he had done. She bit her lower lip in concentration, trying not to lose control of it, even though it was still at an early stage. She then began to create the spheres of wind in both her hands, finding it easier to have small ones on both hands instead of one large one like she normally did, which often caused some destruction. The balls of wind weren't as strong as he had, but they were formed successfully, making her start to panic, not wanting to mess it up. "I might lose it." she called out, glancing up at the taller but immediately back down at he spheres, not wanting to lose control. She hesitantly began to create a more solid exterior, the balls staying more clear than white and still not fully solid. She repeated his words in her head, keeping her concentration and will to make this work. When the balls seemed like they wouldn't be getting any denser, she followed the last step and turned her body, shooting them across the field, them barely making it halfway to where his were before dropping and disappearing. She lowered her hands, a small frown on her face as she turned back to the taller male, looking down. "I don't know what happened." she muttered softly, rubbing the nape of her neck with her hands.

@Keid Nari entered the training grounds, determined to better her power. It seemed like every time she tried, she had to fail at least once. Usually it was multiple times, however. She was never particularly good at, well, anything. She was able to transform into a white hawk like the rest of her family, but that was about it. Even then, if she didn't watch where she was going, she'd easily crash into something or someone. Her main problem was she just couldn't control her power. She didn't know if it was because of her strength or if it was just her clumsiness. She was born into a powerful family, her dad being a well-known retired soldier and her mother being almost as powerful as him, but staying in internal business matters of the clan instead of fighting. Her brother inherited her father's strength, especially coming from a family a mainly boys, so when Nari was born, they were happy to finally have a girl who could live up to her family name and make everyone proud. Unfortunately, she was a huge disappointment, or so she thought herself to be. Of course, she wasn't going to accept it, so she practiced whenever she could, hoping to at least make her family proud and not constantly be compared to her oh-so-wonderful brother.

She got into position in the middle of the training field, taking a deep breath before slowly raising her hands up to practice what she has been practicing for a while but never mastered: Windbolt. She could easily summon the spherical ball of wind, but once she had it, she didn't know how to control it. She closed her eyes briefly as she summon the wind around her to spin a little, blowing her hair in different directions as the sphere started to form, growing larger and larger until she began to wobble in her position. An expression of panic spread across her face, opening her eyes to look at the growing ball of wind. Before she could decide to do anything, she somehow messed up and knocked herself over with the ball, the wind around her calming down. This occurred six times, the last one knocking her on the ground as well. She huffed, blowing her bangs out of her face as she remained on the ground, pulling her knees to her chest in defeat. She stomped her feet in frustration before burrowing her face into her knees, tightly wrapping her arms around her legs. It was times like this she questioned why she was accepted into this school, knowing she most likely didn't deserve to be.

Nari lifted her head up when she heard someone call to her, looking around until she spotted the figure walking towards her that belonged to the voice, squinting a little to see who it was. She stood up and dusted herself off, seeing that it was Keid, the boy she had talked to a while back about her knowing him from her childhood; the guy who shooed her off. She didn't know why he was here, but she guessed he must have been training as well. She blushed in embarrassment at his question and rubbed her neck, looking down. "A little." she muttered, looking back up at him a giving him a small smile. "Were you training?" she asked, tilting her head a little as she craned her neck up at the taller male.
Nari 7 years ago
@Caelum Nari let out yet another laugh at his actions, watching as he scoped out the area. She blushed when he called her pretty, scratching the side of her head sheepishly as he stood in front of her. She smiled up at him. "I don't think you'll have to worry about anyone picking me up. You should look out for your handsome self or else the girls will be all over you." she retorted, turning it around back on him.

Nari chuckled, shaking her head. "I wouldn't worry too much. He cheats sometimes secretly." she told him, whispering a little as if it was actually secret information. She usually talks to her brother every night, but lately he's been too tired from the intense training, so she hasn't been able to. She was excited to talk to him next time since now she could tell him that she met up with Caelum. She knew he would be excited and would want to see him. Caelum was like a brother to her older brother, and to her of course too. No, he wasn't like a brother. He was a brother to them, and so was his little brother Noct. They were family and nothing less. Her mom even loved both Caelum and Noct, treating them both like her sons.

Nari grinned widely, swaying a little from happiness. "You're just jealous because he likes me more." she teased, sticking her tongue out at the other playfully. It wasn't the truth of course, knowing very well how much he loved Caelum. "I want to go see him. Where is he now?" she asked, a small pout on her face. She remembered how Noct wouldn't want to go home sometimes, resorting in them both sleeping over. She remembered one time how she fell asleep in her brother's room with all the boys, despite not being allowed to sleep in there since, well, they were boys. She slept the whole night cuddling with Noct since he decided to fall asleep in her arms, sort of like a mother and her child would. Surprisingly she didn't wake up with any face tattoos from the mischievous boys also sleeping in there and most likely staying up most of the night. She sometimes would also walk in on Caelum and his brother both asleep, cuddling one another. It warmed her heart. Caelum couldn't have been a better figure for Noct, no doubt about it.

Nari rolled her eyes at him playfully, simply shaking her head at him. After finishing, she smiled at the boy a ways across from her as he looked at her with amusement in his eyes, definitely making her feel good about it. It was the first time she hadn't messed up right away, even if she didn't push her limit. Even without doing that something would usually happy or fail, but she felt good about it this time. Probably because Caelum was with her. Being with him now made her feel extremely happy, happier than she's been in a while. She still felt just as comfortable as she was a few years ago. She blinked a few times, processing his request. She was a little surprised since he never normally asked for help. She immediately nodded her head after a few moments, proud that he had asked. She knew she wasn't that good, but the fact he was impressed motivated her and made her feel good about her abilities for once. She ran over to the boy, standing in front of him again. "I'm still not that good, and I can't go too far without messing up, but I'll gladly help you." she accepted, grinning up at him. "Show me what you can do first, and don't worry too much." she said, smiling at him encouragingly to reassure him nothing really bad will happen. She took his hand in hers and squeezed it gently, like she was giving him strength because she knew how reluctant he was, before letting go and taking a few steps back to give him some room.
Semra [A] 7 years ago
@Rayne Semra's blush of embarrassment only deepened when she heard the age of the other, her ever proud posture slumping ever so slightly. "It would be better if you were a little more careful next time. They are a little careless actually so even a small shield would be okay." She smiled shaking her head softly as her eyes went wide. "Oh, you're older than me actually! Okay Rayne and actually you can call me Semra. It's less formal." She smiled at the older male with a curt nod, making her red locks bounce with it. "Personally, I never had to but seeing how the Sentinels are prone to accidents so I guess it won't take you long to met the rest of them." She chuckled looking at a Haeyari male caught up in flames from a Filaren girl.
Nari 7 years ago
@Caelum Nari couldn't help but to chuckle at the older boy. "You'll find some, but they have to be especially pretty or they aren't good enough for you." she encouraged, joking around, but not doubting him the least bit. He was already a very handsome boy, so she had no doubt that he could 'pick up pretty people'. She was protective over him nonetheless, so even being younger, she still acted as if she was older to watch out for him.

She nodded in agreement as he wished for her brother's struggle, sighing happily at the thought. "He most likely is. You know how tough my father is. Constant training every day, strict diets, pretty much everything I could definitely not do." she replied, pressing her lips together as she shook her head. She remembered when she first found out about Caelum's past from her brother, knowing he was abandoned with his adorable little brother that she adored so much. She couldn't ever imagine a parent doing that, especially growing up in warm, loving family. She was a lucky girl, even if she had no real talent for anything. Distant family members often called her useless and a disappointment since she was the weakest out of her well known powerful family, but the fact her whole family stood up for her and said otherwise made her feel better.

Nari shook her head stubbornly at his response, turning her head back around as she continued to drag him. "I won't ever hurt you, but I'll gladly take Noct because he's precious." she replied jokingly, looking back at him with a playful glint in her eye. "How is he by the way? He must have grown so much." she inquired with a small frown, missing the cute baby boy who she always used to play with or watch if the boys were busy doing boy things. She treated him especially well, knowing he never had a mother figure in his life. She was no mother, but she was probably the closest the poor boy had to one. She knew Caelum took care of him well, always warming her heart to see how much Noct really loved him and needed him. It was all because of Caelum that he grew up with someone to love and care for him, and to her, that was good enough.

Nari caught the worry in the other's voice, coming to a stop when they arrived at the field. She turned to face him, craning her neck to look up at him. "We won't die, silly boy." she reassured, smiling up at him. She hummed and nodded to his request to see her powers, a little nervous about them as well since things tended to go wrong often, and if not wrong, then not good enough at least. She chuckled at his use of words and shook her head. "Then that's why you're here. To learn." she stated, moving back a few feet so she wouldn't hit him with anything. "I haven't learned much either, but I can kind of do something new." she explained, taking a deep breath before slowly lifting her arms up, carefully swirling the wind so it began to make a sphere, it growing bigger and bigger. She didn't go as big as she's been practicing, since last time she did it ended up causing a huge mess. The wind around her started to blow, meaning things were about to get out of control, so to prevent that, she brought it back down before she could go as big as she wished. Once everything calmed down, she looked up at Caelum with a sheepish smile, tucking a small strand of hair behind her ear. "I still can't do a lot with it, or it may get out of hand." she exclaimed, moving her hand so it rested on her neck.
Nari 7 years ago
@Caelum Nari shot a glare at the taller boy for teasing her once again, shaking her head. "What did I expect?" she said to herself dramatically, a smile spreading across her lips to signal she was joking. She secretly loved his teasing, especially now when it brought back so many wonderful memories. She remembered the first time she met Caelum was when she was finally allowed to hang out with both the boys, not being able to for a while because her father thought it would be dangerous for a young girl to play with two older boys, the first thing Caelum did was about her height and of course, give her the nickname 'small bean'. Despite the boys being rough with her sometimes, they never hurt her real bad, the most happening being her ending up with a few bruises once in a while, but that was just from rough housing a bit too much. They still treated her like she was equal to them, never excluding her unless her father made them. Thinking about those times always brought a smile to her face, especially now that she was finally reunited with her closest friend.

She smiled warmly at his request for her to hit him, shaking her head in refusal. "There's no need to. See? It's already going away." she assured, motioning to her arm where the redness had already faded away. She rolled her eyes playfully at his words. "Pretty people, huh?" she chuckled, crossing her arms over her chest. Nari nodded, knowing that what he said was true. She always saw improvement when he was by himself, probably because he wasn't under so much pressure. "Well you can't leave now because you're stuck with me," she chimed, smiling up at him. She knew he was a stubborn boy, so she took every chance she took to try and rationalize with him. She often found that he was more willing to do things if he was with someone he was comfortable with, such as her or her brother. "Let's complete the coarse together." she proposed.

Nari couldn't help but to let out a laugh when he questioned whether her brother had it better or if he did. Her dad was definitely a scary guy, very big and in shape from being a soldier. He was pretty strict, especially on his only son, but still had a kind heart and treated Caelum like he was family, despite him being in a different clan. Nari inherited her mom's figure, which was why she was more on the short, petite side. "I think you both are struggling in certain ways." she giggled, knowing how her brother must be going through a hard time with her father training him. She blinked a few times as he crouched down to her level, his face getting closer to hers. She scrunched up her nose a bit at he poked it, about to retort when she head their names being called.

Nari looked between the taller male and the official as he tried to get out of training, cracking a small smile. She grabbed the boy's hand before dragging him off down the hill towards where they were assigned to train. "You won't hurt me. Besides, it'll be like old times." she assured, looking back at him and flashing a smile. She was aware both of their powers were unstable, but she was confident that they could get better together. They all used to train together with her father, so she figured that maybe without such harsh orders from her father, they might be able to combine their weaknesses and become stronger together, or at least control their powers better.

@Semra Rayne looked at the other and smiled sheepishly, "Well, I'm a bit weird, but I'm not clumsy. Although, I should really go around next time, shouldn't I?" he asked and rubbed the back of his nape. He cleared his throat and waved a hand dismissively, "Don't worry about it. I'm 30 but people think I'm nearly half my age sometimes. It's nothing new." He smiled and hummed softly, "Just call me Rayne~" he chuckled. He looked back at nodded as he saw the training, "Not too many of you sentinels know me personally since you rarely need to come to the infirmary, but if any of you need to, do come up, okay?" he reminded the captain as he turned back to face her. "I'm the Head Doc for a reason after all," he grinned.

@Calcifer Nari felt absolutely horrible. Why did this have to happen? She shouldn't have panicked earlier and controlled it better, or at least tossed the rock in a different direction. Now she had to take responsibility for this, since it wasn't her who had gotten hurt this time. She watched the male writhe in pain, his fingers turning white from how tight he was clenching his hands as he yanked out bits of grass from the ground. She knew this would leave a scar at the least, but she had hoped the damage wouldn't be permanent or wouldn't disable him somehow. She was also worried he would bleed out, judging by how much blood was running down his leg. Especially if she had to pull out the shard, which she figured that was probably what she had to do.

"Y-You can cry out. Scream, yell, anything. It might help a little..." she muttered, of course doubting herself that that would help at all. If she didn't act quick, he would probably suffer a lot of damage to his body, if he wasn't going to already. She flinched at his sarcastic remark, but couldn't blame him for her question wasn't the best to ask at that time. "Just hang in there." she requested, looking around for something -- anything that she could do to help him. She widened her eyes as he told her to get the shard out, her hands already shaking from the thought of it. "I can't do that. What if I do it wrong? What if you bleed to death?" she questioned in a panic, almost as if she was scolding him for asking her such a thing. However, she knew he was right, and it was the best option they had.

Nari took deep breaths, biting her lower lip as she contemplated on what to do. She looked from the other's pained expression to his bloody leg where the shard was stuck inside, finally coming to a decision. "Okay, okay. Just hold on." She sat up a little and slipped the shirt she was wearing off, fortunately having a tank top on underneath. She sat it down beside her before turning her attention to the deep wound, looking down at it with frightened eyes. She glanced over at the male who looked relatively pale, either from the amount of blood already lost or just from the unbearable amount of pain he was feeling. "Sorry in advance. This will definitely hurt." she stated sadly, hoping that this will turn out okay. She slowly moved her hands so they were placed around the shard, not daring to move until she was ready to pull it out. It had to be in one go.

Nari took one more deep breath before using all of her strength and quickly yanking out the shard, more blood than ever running down his leg. She couldn't even imagine how much pain he was in at the moment, never feeling worse in her life. She was indeed intimidated by him, but seeing him in any pain whatsoever didn't satisfy her at all. She had a feeling that after this, she would be even more scared of him. She quickly took the shirt she had by her side and wrapped it around the large gash in his leg, tying it as tight as possible. She breathed heavily from the panicking, pressing her hands against the covered wound so that she was applying pressure to stop the blood from oozing out any more.
Nari 7 years ago
@Caelum Nari smiled brightly up at the excited boy, the old nickname making her feel a lot of nostalgia. She widened her eyes a little as he pulled her into a hug, relaxing immediately and hugging him back tightly. She had really missed this boy, never being able to forget all their memories together. "It has been super long. I see the nickname has stuck though." she commented, chuckling softly. Nari scoffed at his words and playfully nudged him. "You aren't a bad kid, you just don't like to pay attention." she scolded, her smile returning once again as she looked up at the taller male.

Nari looked down at her reddened arm, touching it with the tips of her fingers lightly. She shook her head and smiled up at him. "Don't apologize, it doesn't even hurt," she reassured. She sighed, shaking her head before chuckling softly. "Same as always, I see. You need to listen. You can't just ditch." she lectured, crossing her arms over her chest. Sometimes it felt like she was older than him, even though she was a lot younger. She always loved his childish behavior though, making him that much more fun to be around. Sometimes it was difficult talking to him since he would often get distracted, but of course when it came down to it, he was still a great listener and mood brightener. Although, behind his smiles, she knew he was just as insecure as her, if not even more. "You shouldn't say you won't get better. We might be on a lower level than everyone else, but it's be so much more worth it once this class pays off." she chimed, always vocalizing the positive side of things. Despite her own insecurities, she still believed she could get better. She also knew Caelum would too, because they were both that much alike.

Nari blinked a few times, pursing her lips a bit as she thought. "I haven't talked to him in a while, but the last time we talked he was doing good. He's got a lot of pressure put on him from our dad." she chuckled, a side of her worrying about her brother, and another knowing he could handle it. She was always envious of her brother, since he had most of the attention from the family and was of course, a lot more powerful than her. So powerful he couldn't even come to the academy since everything was pretty much too easy for him. She still loved him though, and missed the memories she shared with him and Caelum all together, even though she was teased the majority of the time. She looked up at Caelum and narrowed her eyes a little, pointing up at him. "You better not tease me anymore like you used to! I'm all grown up now." she warned, looking away from him but of course, it was all friendly and playful.
Semra [A] 7 years ago
@Rayne Semra frowned a little at the way the male smiled and looked over to her from his book only when he heard her voice. She wasn't sure he actually realised he passed through one of her portals at all though most people wouldn't unless they had successfully crossed through. "And you carelessly walked across it reading? You could have gotten hurt. Sentinels are actually preparing for fighting." She went on scolding with a gentle tone none the less.

Semra had never been to the infirmary. She didn't have to, she could heal her own wounds pretty quickly and without help so when he said he was from the staff, her brows met in the middle. He looked younger than a few students she actually knew. "You're Head Doctor Rayne? I'm so sorry. I had no idea but still it wasn't a really good idea to cross the training grounds unguarded." She said, her cheeks attaining a small tint similar to her hair from the embarrassment as she shook his hand. "Yeah, I'm Captain Semra. It's a pleasure to meet you too Head Doctor."
Calcifer 7 years ago
@Nari Calcifer could probably count the number of times he'd been well and truly scared in his whole life. The first time must've been when he thought he'd lost his mother back when he was a child, the second time when he knew he'd disappointed his father and was going to be punished for it. But maybe none of those could really compare to now. Because back then, he knew the fear would pass -- eventually he would find his mother, eventually his father would forgive him. Now, though? It felt real. Like it wouldn't pass. Calcifer feared this entire accident might change his life.

That's what ran through his head when the Haeyari girl came to approach him. What if the damage on his leg was permanent? What if he couldn't fight again? What if he couldn't walk? It would all be because of her, this little, trembling girl standing over him. With that look on her face, it seemed they might've been thinking the same thing. What would happen after this?

It was a waste how much effort he'd put into slowing down his breath earlier, because now his breaths came short and quick, through gritting teeth. At that moment, Calcifer felt he was just a combination of sensations -- he could feel his fingers digging deep into the dirt next to him, pulling grass off the ground. He could feel a series of spasms on his body, all caused by the pain. Could feel how tight his throat was with how he resisted the urge to cry out, to scream. Goddamn it, it hurt. It felt as though his bone had been crushed. Calcifer had never felt pain like this before -- so real and so intense, no matter how hard he tried to focus on anything else, he could still feel it.

He barely managed to catch the girl's nervous question, and then he couldn't help it. He just couldn't. He barked out a laugh, dripping with ire. "'Does it hurt badly?' Well, I don't know, what do you think?" he spat, sarcastic. He went back to focus on his breathing, still coming out short and quick, through gritting teeth. He glanced back up at the girl, who was seeming to have a panic attack all on her own. He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to calm down enough to say, "Get it off of me." After all, no one else was around to help. She might as well be the one.
Rayne 7 years ago
@Semra Rayne was even humming to himself as he understood some parts as he read and furrowed his brows at the parts he had to read over again. When he reached the other end of the grounds, he heard a voice and looked up from his book. "Huh? Oh, I knew what was going on," he said and then smiled sheepishly. "I'm a little weird sometimes," he chuckled softly and smiled.

He looked back to where he had been walking through and then chuckled, "You probably haven't had to come to infirmary before or something. Or perhaps I wasn't there because I was doing something else," he began, the second part mostly to himself, before he smiled once more and held out a hand to the other, "But anyway, I'm the Head Doctor here, Rayne," he chuckled, "Nice to meet you, Captain Semra, right?" he asked.
Semra [A] 7 years ago
@Rayne Semra was often found in the training grounds. She would be overlooking Sentinel practices and more than a few times participated in them too. It was like a hobby, helping her subordinates use their powers to a higher level than they need to under their daily conditions. Today though, it was a little different. There was a male walking across from the grounds that looked like a battlefield as if he had no care in the world, a book in his hand. Sighing at the male's lack of care, she Shaddow stepped near him and then again to a safer location across from the fighting and towards the direction he was headed to.

"You should be more careful. Crossing the training grounds absentmindedly when Sentinels are sort of having show offs and without a shield is particularly dangerous." The redhead scolded in a gentle voice. Either way, students, weren't really under her judristriction and she wasn't going to step further into Allydia's toes.
Nari 7 years ago
@Caelum Nari was currently running to the remedial training session, having overslept from being exhausted by the countless amount of training she did the previous day. She tripped over her feet a few times, being quite the clumsy girl since birth, but successfully caught herself and continued sprinting along the bumpy hills. By the time she made it to the lecture, she was out of breath, bending over with her hands on her waist as she tried to catch her breath again. She coughed a few times, tapping her chest a little as if it would help calm her breathing. Once her heart beat slowed down, she walked the rest of the way to where the large crowd of students were listening to official, looking around to find a good spot to perch herself.

She wasn't there because of bad grades, but was there mainly because her training ability wasn't the best. Ever since she was little, all she ever did was train. Having high hopes since her family was quite powerful and skilled, her father and brother would train her every chance they got. However, despite all the training, she had only leveled up in knowledge, but had the hardest time controlling her power. That often ended up in some sort of disaster or injury, only very few times ever succeeding in that area. It just seemed like every time she would fail, which made her feel insecure and envious of everyone around her. Although, she did often play with her brother and his friend whenever she got the chance to, even though sometimes she wasn't allowed. She felt better when she was just with them, mainly because her brothers friend, Caelum, often struggled in the training area as well. It made her closer to him at the time, since they would try to help each other improve, of course with her brother's help.

Nari was about to approach the crowd when suddenly she felt a figure clash into her, gasping as it caused them both to be knocked to the ground. She opened her eyes once she processed that she was now on the ground, fluttering her eyes a bit before focusing them on a familiar male who was wincing from the fall. She sat up, rubbing her slightly red arm that protected her the most from the fall. She looked back at the male as he spoke, narrowing her eyes slightly as he called her name. She was bewildered at first, not knowing how the other knew her name. However, continuing to look at him with her head slightly tilted, her lips parted and eyes widened as soon as she remembered who he was. "Caelum?" she called, blinking a few times to process what was happening.

She stood up along with the male in front of her, taking steps closer to him as a smile began to spread onto her lips, excitement seeping into her system. She hadn't seen Caelum in years, so it brought back many happy memories. She looked the male up and down, seeing a slight change in appearance from the last time she's seen him. "I didn't know you went here." she exclaimed in a surprised tone, gazing up at the taller male. He was always a lot taller than her, often hurting her neck when she was younger from having to look up at him and her brother.
Galen 7 years ago
@Allydia Galen looked up in surprise when he heard a voice, but relaxed when he saw that it was just Headmistress Allydia. He hadn't exactly had a great past with her, but at least, they understood each other now and he respected her as his superior. Whenever she showed up and offered to train him, Galen appreciated her help, but at the same time, he also wanted to get things right on his own.

"...I guess I do need help.", he nodded after a moment of silence - he didn't want to waste anymore time in not getting anywhere with his training. "No duties of your own today, Headmistress?", the Senitel asked quietly.
Nari 7 years ago
@Calcifer Nari didn't understand how her luck could spiral downward so fast. No only did she injure someone, but it had to be one of the scariest people she's seen so far. Of course, she didn't know him, so her speculations could be incorrect, but she just got bad vibes from him. Whenever she saw him, he looked so serious, and she's never seen him around people. She wasn't someone who explored all that often, even though she's always wanted to take the time to explore the castle and outside the castle grounds. However, she was always busy with training and it was situations like this that kept her away from people.

She stood in the same spot, watching as the male tried to lift his body up but was unable to. Nari internally scolded herself, tapping her foot lightly as she nibbled her lower lip. She couldn't let her fear of him stop her from doing anything about what she has done. She closed her eyes briefly, squeezing them tight before opening them and running over to the male once again, only to find a horrifying sight. She looked down at the pained male with wide eyes, her jaw dropping. It was the worst damage she has ever done to someone. A large chunk of the rock was stuck in his knee, blood seeping from the wound. He also had a large cut on his head, as well as a slit on his shoulder. She stepped back a little, only to step on a piece of the rock that had been flown at him. She looked down at all the pieces, bringing her hand up to in shock. She was surprised to see that the rock was shattered, guessing that the male had kicked it in defense.

She laid her eyes back down on the injured male, hearing him curse under his breath. She didn't know what she could do, since there was no one around besides the two. She didn't bring anything with her to help with the wounds, and he was definitely way too tall for her to help carry him to the infirmary. She knelt down beside the male who was breathing heavily, only intimidating her more. She knew she couldn't focus on that now, seeing as though he was badly injured by her doing.

"I-I'm so sorry... Does it hurt badly?" she injured nervously, her hands slightly shaking as she reached out to the worse injury on his body, which was his leg with a shard of the rock stuck in his leg. She didn't touch it, however, not wanting to cause him to be in any more pain, so she retracted her hands and frowned, looking up at him with worried eyes.

She looked down down and ruffled her hair with both of her hands, giving the top of her head a few taps from not being careful with her power. "What do I do?" she mumbled to herself, looking back up at the discomforted male so she could try to figure something out. She was obviously panicking at this point, trying not to connect her eyes with his since she was worried that he may get mad at her for this incident.
Calcifer 7 years ago
@Nari Calcifer sat on the grass that surrounded the training arena. His legs were bent, his elbows on his knees, his head hung low. He was heaving, having just collapsed once more from the series of combat skills he was trying to master. The breaths came in and out of him quickly, and he tried his best to slow it down, to breathe deeper instead of quicker. He was frustrated. Restless. He'd been going at it, practicing the same techniques for days now, but he didn't feel as though he was getting better. He knew he needed to do something to figure himself out, but he didn't know what. Just that thought itself made his head hot, his blood boil.

Once more, he attempted to level his temper. There was no point lashing out at nothing, not now, not ever. He needed a cool head to think. Just then, he heard footsteps, the dirt crunching beneath a pair of shoes. Calcifer looked up and saw, standing in the middle of the arena, a girl. Calcifer didn't know her personally, but he's seen her around; she was the nervous looking one that always looked away whenever he so much as turned in her direction. Whoever she was, she always seemed to steer clear of him, whether in classes or in hallways or in training. She'd probably run off if she saw him there now, except maybe she couldn't from where she stood. Calcifer stayed quiet and watched.

First, her arms came up, and then a breeze blew by him, making the grass around him sway. His eyebrows raised in interest. Haeyari. Slowly, she seemed to accumulate wind in front of her until it all turned into a sphere, floating in the air. Calcifer tilted his head, squinting, before he finally made out the shape that was suspended inside the sphere -- it was a rock of some sort. He wondered if she'd deliberately done that. He watched on, admiring what she had created, before noticing how strong it grew, the wind pretty much howling now around him. From the distance and the angle, he couldn't quite make out her expression, but the way she continued moving told him things were spiraling downwards. She was having difficulty controlling it. After a moment, it seemed she just gave up at some point and decided to dispose of the rock she had suspended in the air -- tossing it right at his direction. He was almost a second too late to realize this, before he scrambled up to his feet and, just as the rock was about to hit, raised a leg in one swift movement, first hitting it with a fireball before giving it a kick right in the middle. His attempt to move it to another direction had failed; his exhausted body was no match for how intense her sphere had just been. All he was able to do was break some of its parts off, but he had still taken a lot of impact, pushing him to fall back on the grass.

"," he hissed. He'd been hit on the shoulder, and a piece of the rock that had broken off had hit him on the head. But the largest chunk got him on one of his legs and when he tried to raise himself up, he found that it was still there, sitting from his knee to his ankle. "F-."
Allydia [A] 7 years ago
@Galen They day had been moving along slowly, too slowly for Allydia and she found she could take sitting in her office no longer. As she often did when she was restless but still needing to be within the castle walls, she found herself heading towards the training grounds. The blonde paused a moment as she saw a familiar face practicing within the circle. Sometimes training alone was a choice and she didn't want to interrupt if that was the case but she had an inkling that maybe he wouldn't mind her presence. Galen and Allydia had a tumultuous past to say the least but she was confident that they had worked through the bulk of their issues, at least enough to know he would welcome her to the arena.

With her mind she reached out into the area, looking to discern just how he was trying to manipulate the elements. There was a part of her that was surprised at what she found though it did bring a small smile to her features. He was working on expanding his boundaries, becoming stronger, and she respected that mindset above all others.

"Fire, huh?" she asked quietly as she took a seat in the sand not far from him so that she could see his progress. The blonde crossed her legs and rested back on her hands, trying to get comfortable. "You need any help? It is sometimes the trickiest to try and master if you are thinking too much about the air."
