@♡﹕ kim seungmin. seungmin’s little pecks were like tiny sparks, each one catching minho off-guard and setting the tips of his ears ablaze. but at the end of them all, with seungmin’s admittance, minho had to bite back his smile. it was cute, all the affection that seungmin had hidden away under that cool and composed attitude of his. it was cute, that stupid smirk on his face. minho could feel himself slipping, but so was seungmin. if so, perhaps it was fair, perhaps it was alright.
minho’s hands moved down to seungmin’s slender waist, steadying the younger as he repositioned himself. minho then closed his eyes, granting seungmin permission, and he was almost immediately rewarded, with a kiss on his nose like a butterfly’s landing. minho had intended on staying still, to let seungmin do as he pleased, but he gave up on that notion once he felt seungmin’s lips on his once more. minho kissed seungmin back, head kept still by seungmin’s hands while his lips chased after the taste he missed already, the sweetest addiction he had ever known. with a swipe of his tongue across seungmin's bottom tier, minho finally broke away. looking up at seungmin, his face so pretty, minho uttered the conclusion he had already known the first moment their lips touched, “soft.”
minho leaned in again to capture those soft lips, knowing they were his for the rest of the night.
@♡﹕ lee minho. seungmin usually prided himself on keeping his composure, especially in situations like where they were just now, but more and more his composure was slipping. more and more was it becoming obvious that minho was driving him insane, and most definitely not in a bad way. he wanted more. how much more, he wasnt sure, he knew he needed to, should, behave. but would he?
minho's words made him smirk, especially as the elder's thumb teased the corner of his lips, as if tempting him for more. what a silly act, especially when seungmin was pretty sure they both knew what they wanted, and it was more of each other. "a few more tries?" he questioned, selfishly chasing minho's lips even when he pulled away to offer something else, landing another peck on his lips, then another, and then a third. "ah, what am i going to do? you got me addicted already."
he delivered his line with that same smirk, but it was soft and affectionate rather than snarky. but rather than drag out the moment any longer, seungmin brought his hands up to hold both sides of minho's face, rising up a little so that his lips could make contact with minho's nose. but he was a greedy, greedy man, and now he had minho right where he wanted him, and another kiss was pressed to minho's mouth. seungmin let this one linger as well, mouth moving slowly, hands holding the other perfectly still, head tilted back just a bit. his lashes fluttered, unable to decide if he wanted to watch or not. he did not break the kiss this time-- he would /not/ be the one to do it.
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. seungmin was there. if seungmin’s lips weren’t enough of a reminder for minho, seungmin’s hand would have served as a good alternative. and because seungmin was there, minho let himself fall deeper. he didn’t deny the wordless request of seungmin’s hands, leaning in towards seungmin, leaning into the kiss. as their lips fit even more perfectly, impossibly, minho’s greed only grew. he couldn’t ignore the brewing desire to deepen the kiss just that bit more, an effect of seungmin and everything that he was, but minho set it aside. for later, or another day, or another time. when seungmin wanted it. regardless, /this/ was perfect as it was already.
minho felt seungmin tug at his lip. minho’s lips almost trailed after seungmin’s, just almost, and it was only when seungmin had fully pulled away did the realisation sink in: minho was addicted. strangely, he didn’t mind. hand still on seungmin’s face, minho opened his eyes, knowing he’d see seungmin. and he did, but just a glimpse, before seungmin pecked him on the lips. before seungmin said something he really shouldn’t have.
even the burning tips of his ears couldn’t stop minho from leaning in to press another kiss onto seungmin’s tempting lips. not chaste enough to be called a peck, minho was a little too greedy for that, but not as long nor deep as their first one either, just enough to feel. breaking the kiss, minho hummed, his thumb resting on the corner of seungmin’s lips. “i can’t confirm for yours yet,” minho said. “might need a few more tries.” still, he pulled back, giving their faces a bit more distance between them, to let seungmin see the whole of his face. (if he got to see seungmin’s pretty face properly again, that was merely a bonus.) “but if i remember correctly, you had other things on your wishlist. go ahead, in whatever order you like.”
@♡﹕ lee minho. if seungmin could put a finger on the exact moment where everything felt right, it would have been the second their lips met in that kiss. there was no resistance, there was no worry or fear that was connected to everything in his past. minho was a breath of fresh air, a new start. and he wanted it, he wanted minho, probably more than anything he had ever wanted in his life.
the warmth of minho's hand on his cheek kept him grounded in the moment, reminded him that it wasnt a dream, a fantasy, none of that. his fingers curled a little tighter on minho's shirt, adjusting his hold so it wasnt just clothes, but his palm passed over minho's side, held onto him, pulled him closer. this, seungmin thought, his lashes fluttering at the idea of potentially, maybe, opening his eyes to see the pretty boy in front of him. this was where he was happy.
he didnt break the kiss to take a breath, but his lips parted to capture the other's mouth a little more firmly. his lips slotted perfectly between minho's, took to moving slowly against the other's mouth and cherishing each second they had together. but as he pressed closer, seungmin worried he was getting ahead of himself. his lips pulled at minho's bottom one, just barely tugging, and finally he let out a soft, warm breath. he briefly pulled back and opened his eyes, but minho looked so peaceful, so /pretty/, that he couldnt help himself. seungmin leaned in again, kissing the older boy-- this time, it /was/ just a peck. he felt stingy. and then he said the first thing that came to mind, still not really even pulling away. "you have soft lips."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. minho wanted this, but one word from seungmin and minho would drop whatever they were doing. he'd pull away, he'd ruffle seungmin's hair, he wouldn't mind. at some point, minho had started to care, had started to /admit/ that he cared, and right now, what he cared about was making sure seungmin wanted this. a centimetre between their lips, minho waited for a 'no' that never came.
instead, minho heard a cute little retort from seungmin, felt a tug towards the younger. the answer that minho had truly wanted. closing his eyes, minho let seungmin pull him in, then felt their lips connect.
it felt like falling, but slow. if the moments leading up to the kiss had felt like a free fall with minho at the mercy of gravity, now that seungmin's lips were on his, it felt like there was something buoying him up even in his descent. minho still had no control over his heart, how it fell, how it beat for not just himself anymore, but now, it felt light and free. against seungmin's pretty, plush lips, minho began to move his own, softly, and let himself bask in the feeling of falling, of floating. deciding he liked the feeling, liked how seungmin felt on his lips, minho pulled seungmin closer with the hand on his pretty face. if seungmin was there, all minho wanted to do was keep falling.
@♡﹕ lee minho. seungmin's heart was racing a million miles a minute, even if he had his composure under lock and key. he was smooth and graceful, anything but how he actually felt. minho was pretty, undeniably, and it was getting harder and harder to fight the desire that had been growing within him since before he even set foot in the damn apartment. seungmin thought he was hopeless. maybe minho thought better of him.
the quickness of how minho agreed and cupped his face told him he was thinking at least along the same lines as him. his lashes fluttered, fingers curled on his thighs in anticipation, but minho stopped short, his breath warming seungmin's face. he looked at his elder with hooded eyes, then scoffed softly under his breath. "no one said there had to be a specific order. but bold of you to think i'd back out."
one of seungmin's hands reached out to hook onto minho's clothes, pulling him the rest of the way in. just as their lips met in the damn kiss they've been talking about the entire time, his other hand slid along the nape of minho's neck, firm in how he held him. it wasnt a quick peck, it wasnt shy or embarrassed; no, seungmin /kissed/ minho, even if they were sitting on the elder's bedroom floor a bit unceremoniously. in fact, seungmin couldnt help but marvel at the fact that maybe the trope of 'lips fitting together perfectly' could possibly be true.
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. letting seungmin's fingers toy with his hair, minho kept still, although his heart was anything but. he then turned his head to face seungmin properly, the pretty view unobstructed now that seungmin had adjusted his fringe for him. with seungmin's words, a smile played on minho's lips, the lips he was well aware seungmin had his eyes on. it was cute, seungmin's bravery. "so we're skipping the cheek-poking and nose-kissing?" minho dared to tease, even as his heartbeat was gradually picking up. but if seungmin had made his desire as clear as day, then who was minho to deny him? minho's gaze flittered to seungmin's lips. "works for me."
it only took a second for minho's hand to reach out and cradle seungmin's face, and a millisecond before minho leaned in. minho was nervous, yes, wanting to do right by seungmin; but it was all too easy, everything coming automatically. a natural attraction, a gravitational pull. and that was why it took everything in minho to resist this magnetism, to stop just short of seungmin's lips. for a moment, there was nothing but the sound of minho's heart thrashing wildly in his ears, and the sound of his breath, ghosting seungmin's lips. minho broke this silence. "this is your last chance to back out, kim seungmin."
@♡﹕ lee minho. perhaps if he knew how much minho liked his smile, really liked it, he would smile more often. it was an insecurity, one he was still working on getting over, but genuine joy couldnt hold him back. but when he looked over to minho, his smile softened a little bit, perhaps catching the sight of awe on minho's face. it was... new. he liked it. he liked being seen, at the very least, by minho-- in all the ways he had been seen so far. seungmin's gaze dropped down to the cat at his fingertips, but his thoughts where on the boy sitting next to him. that smile never wavered.
after getting and giving plenty of love to dori, seungmin sighed a little blissfully, turning his head to watch as minho sat up. slowly, he pushed himself up as well, though seungmin sat on his knees facing the elder. he wondered if his heartbeat could be heard, he knew it was blaring in his own ears. reaching out, he brushed his fingers through minho's fringe, nudging the strands away from his eyes. he tilted his head, his gaze betraying him as he glanced down to the pretty pair of lips he most definitely had been thinking of the entire day. "how? well, im pretty sure you're supposed to look at me if you want to kiss me." there, he said it. it was actually voiced, put into words, what he wanted to do.
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. and there, for a fleeting moment, was a warm smile on seungmin's face. it was a sunrise, lovelier than any other minho had ever seen, and in the face of its soft glow, minho's gaze simply... lingered. for how long, he couldn't be sure, nor could he be sure of when the word 'pretty' entered and filled his entire head. all he knew was that he had to close his slightly agape mouth when seungmin made eye contact with him. the smile was still there. "...hm? yeah," minho responded, brain trying to get up to speed on what seungmin had said. "yeah, i think you did win his heart," he said with a small smile, finally tearing his gaze to watch dori return seungmin's affection with a purr. "somehow."
minho pushed himself off the floor, slowly settling into a cross-legged position as he let seungmin and dori have their playtime. he then gave dori a scratch behind his ears, murmuring, "good job, dori." having entertained their guest, the feline took that as his cue to brush against seungmin one more time before finding a new corner of the room for more me-time. with that, they were done with all the introductions. eyes still following dori, minho asked simply, "so, how do you wanna do this?"
@♡﹕ lee minho. seungmin blinked, maybe once or twice, before understanding really what was being said. he kept his expression schooled, at least as best as possible, even if the pink on his cheeks was giving him away. and it's not that seungmin backed down, instead he turned the words to agree, a small nod coupled with his words. "mm. my bad. your pretty baby."
he didn't have to worry too much about his words, because he had other pressing matters. like minho's veiled confession about being eager to get to their... other planned activity. however that was going to happen. that, and dori was inching closer. seungmin didnt know whether to stay still or reach out any further than he had been, so he was caught in some sort of limbo. why was he so set on getting the cats' approval? would it prove anything? did it matter in the grand scheme of things? it mattered to him.
as dori came out of the darkness and bumped against seungmin's arm, the smile that bloomed across his lips was so bright it could rival the sun, if only for just a moment. a soft coo bubbled up as he adjusted his arm, offering his fingertips to dori, scratching the top of his head. he smoothed his hand down the cat's back, then doubled back to affectionately rub at dori's face. "i think i scored big with dori," he said, beaming proudly as his fingers worked dori's fur, smile directed to minho this time. "kim seungmin, winner of hearts."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. minho's smile was as if he had won a contest, and perhaps he did, because hearing the tinkle of a laugh from seungmin did feel like a prize. and it didn't stop there, seungmin even playing along. despite his ears burning up again at the tickle of seungmin's whisper, minho was determined to keep up his momentum. he couldn't fail again. "wrong again," minho said. "the pretty baby is you."
the smile made a return when minho saw seungmin essentially become one with the floor. seungmin was nothing if not determined, and minho had to match up to that, lying down beside seungmin with a grunt. "you can wait, but i can't," minho said, the words rolling off his tongue before his brain could even decide if it was in jest. but he didn't even have to wait, nor did he have the chance to think about the implications of his words. to minho's surprise, dori was already making his way towards the two of them, slowly but surely.
"maybe he was touched by your sincerity," minho commented, eyes trained on dori, "good boy." minho could see dori cautiously sniff seungmin from under the bed like some sort of test, one that seungmin must have passed with flying colours, because dori emerged from the darkness to his head against seungmin's folded arm. "huh." minho propped his head onto his palm, his head tilted to watch the two. "i suppose your cat-whispering powers came back, kim seungmin."
@♡﹕ lee minho. with his brows furrowing, seungmin deemed this a win. the cats so far, three of the four he had met, liked him. he gave a pointed look to minho, even if he wasn't looking, but he was considered one of the four cats. always. lee minho was equivalent to a cat to him, and his opinion would never be swayed. "i like cats. i havent been hissed at yet, and i dont plan on it," he gave a firm nod, lips pursed with determination.
minho's joke actually got a laugh to bubble up in the back of seungmin's throat, the sound actually a little melodious as he shook his head. his fingers tickled the elder's back, and he leaned in to murmur a little closer to his ear. "no, you're the pretty baby."
stepping into minho's room, seungmin's fingers smoothed over the shirt, glancing around for sight of the last cat he only saw in pictures. when minho turned to look at him, he gave a wide, cheeky smile, as if displaying his "not-badness". he tilted his head, watching as minho knelt down, and then quietly followed suit. both hands rested on the floor, and with a soft 'oof' the boy let himself rest fully on the floor, laying on his stomach and coming down to the youngest cat's level. he peered at the wide eyes staring back, resting his chin on his crossed arms. "its okay," seungmin spoke softly, briefly glancing over to minho with a smile to match his tone. "i can wait."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. seeing a puppy in confusion before his very eyes, minho almost let out a laugh, but he stifled it, for the sake of seungmin's pride. "mhm. you're lucky he didn't hiss at you," he said, rather genuinely as a partiuclar memory surfaced in his mind, making him chuckle again. "cats have interesting mannerisms sometimes." from behind him, minho could hear seungmin's teasing, and it might have flustered him, if not for the fact that seungmin had filled in the blanks, all by himself. seungmin had been expecting /something/ as well. the confirmation tugged at the corner of minho's lips. he could work with this.
but the smirk softened when minho felt seungmin's hand on his back, and then grew into a small smile with another confirmation from seungmin. next time. minho had offered, and seungmin had accepted. "hm? you've met me already though?" minho tried for a joke, his payback for seungmin's earlier taunting, as he pushed the door open to his room.
with dori nowhere in sight, minho called out his name softly, dragging out the last syllable. he started walking around the room, slow enough to keep seungmin and his hand behind him, as he peeked at some of the more obscure corners of the room. "you can come out, this guy is..." minho turned around to give seungmin a once-over. "not /that/ bad," he finished, turning back quickly to keep his smile to himself. with most of dori's usual spots empty, minho knelt down to check the very last potential hiding spot. and there, under his bed, were dori's bright, wide eyes staring back at minho. softly, he said, "come say hi to seungminnie, dori?"
@♡﹕ lee minho. seungmin hummed softly in response to minho's observation, casting a sidelong glance to the older, his eyes lingering even in such a glance. "mhm, i definitely have been bolder. must be something in the air," he gave a small sniff as if to suggest it was in the room with them, before giving his full attention to the cat before him. hard, given the circumstance, but he was eager to win the affection of the cats.
even he was surprised when the 'final boss' didnt really put up much of a fight, just gave a dainty little sniff to seungmin's fingers before retreating further. during that time, he felt a burning on the side of his face, or maybe it was just his ears growing warm from feeling minho's gaze on him. only when minho sounded shocked did he pull his hand back, not wanting to be too much for doongie, and slowly turned his attention to the elder once more. he blinked wide eyes, quite literally looking like a confused puppy. "you're telling me the silence was a good thing, right? baby steps, then... i have patience, and time."
next time. minho said next time. there'd be a next time, he knew it, because minho wouldnt say something he didnt mean. next time. the thought made him smile, nothing too big or extravagant but it was a lot for a man who rarely smiled. "right, before..." seungmin teased now, it was mentioned. even in passing, the entire reason why he was in minho's apartment was mentioned. he'd be lying if he said he hadnt been thinking about it, a lot about it. "oh so eager. i wish i had thought to bring treats. i'll get some, for next time," seungmin caught up to minho, and then this time his hand came to rest on his back... and stayed there. "let me meet the baby."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. the irony of seungmin's words didn't go unnoticed by minho either, a sliver of a smile showing up on minho's lips. it was interesting, reading between the lines of the book called seungmin, and minho was merely at the first chapter. "you'll do fine. you're pretty bold, no?" minho murmured beside seungmin. as the younger tried to coax doongie, minho's gaze was slowly drawn away from doongie, his want to see the cat's reaction giving way to the want to simply observe the pretty face right beside his own, from the side.
after some silence on doongie's end, minho eventually turned his head back, watching the cat sniff seungmin's outstretched hand, before he slowly retreating back into the cubby-hole. "oh, wow," minho exhaled, blinking in disbelief. "he... didn't huff or anything. that's a first." minho peered into the cat tree once more, eyebrows furrowed. doongie was definitely fine, even meowed nonchalantly at minho's return. "congrats," minho said, turning back to seungmin. "it's a good start, so we should probably leave him alone now. you can earn more friendship points next time."
with a scratch behind doongie's ears as farewell, minho walked away from the cat tree. "one more for you to meet, before..." minho trailed off. before what exactly, minho wasn't sure. okay, he had some idea, had pictured it a little, had thought about plush, pink— "my room," minho said, cutting off his own train of thought and picking up his pace down the hallway. "dori's probably there."
@♡﹕ lee minho. the sigh reached his ears... but nothing else did. just the sigh, which had seungmin very pleased with himself. when minho disagreed (or agreed, though it was in a round about way), he made it very clear. but the younger sort of prided himself on getting to know minho's mannerisms, deciphering, if over time, what was meant by certain tones and words. however, it was usually through text. this was a new ballpark. he had to learn minho again, in person, and it was thrilling.
like now. he was entranced, watching the back of minho's head (which he very much wanted to pet) as he followed over to the side of the living room. he liked the warmth that came from his touch, he liked the way they spoke to each other. it was familiar, if but a little... tense? for lack of better terms. after all, seungmin only was standing in the living room peering into a cat tree because he had made quite the confession over text. thinking about it made him reach out, steady himself with a hand on the cat tree itself. "final boss... and no treats? sorry, confidence this early is tough to ask for, but i'll power through." there was a certain irony to his words, something he didnt miss, but he turned his attention to the cat instead. the /actual/ cat. "doongie-ah, wow-- you're so pretty. doongie, may i meet you?" seungmin lifted his hand, hesitant but gentle and careful as he stretched his arm further in, slow to give the cat a sniff of his fingers. "i promise i'll be good to you."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. minho let out an exasperated laugh upon hearing seungmin's interpretation of his very own words. how absurd. that was not what he had said. maybe what his subconscious had thought. still, it was so absurd that minho didn't bother to dismiss seungmin's notion. (minho swore that this was the only reason.) instead, he replied to seungmin's other line. with a quick shake of his head, played off as fixing his hair, minho said, "go ahead." two could play at this game of ambiguity.
a quick glance behind him confirmed that seungmin was indeed following closely. with rather light footsteps, minho sensed, though he couldn't be sure if that was an individual interpretation on his part. "yes, and probably, in my room. dori has a bad case of stranger danger," he chuckled, walking to the cat tree off to the side of the living room. peeking into one of the cubby-holes, minho continued to talk to seungmin, "the cat whisperer needs treats to win cats over? sounds like you're not too confident." and of course, doongie was there, frowning as if it was minho's fault that he had been found in his usual haunt. pulling back from the entrance of the cubby-hole slightly, making just enough room for a second head to look in, minho beckoned seungmin over. "unfortunately, you've reached the boss fight already. meet doongie."
@♡﹕ lee minho. minho's words, though not an exact replica of what he twisted them into being, made seungmin smirk. but instead of directing the word-twisting to minho, he scratched under soonie's chin, cooing at the cat who at the very least seemed to enjoy the attention. "you hear that soonie? minho-ssi wants me yo come over more, for training sessions," he glanced sideways at minho, gauging his reaction, opting to toss in another... flirtatious line. he was getting bold. "more pets for the pretty kitty."
seungmin would be a fool to miss the way minho's ears turned pink, a cocky little smirk following as he laughed, realizing he was most definitely right. minho wanted to impress him, too. what he did miss was just how flustered his actions made the older. he had an idea, just no reaction, and it /almost/ made him pout. he debated on it, toeing his shoes off and sliding his jacked off to let it rest over a piece of furniture, shaking his shoulders to loosen his clothes around him. but then minho tugged his wrist, and he shuffled happily after his host. "i'll win their hearts too, dont you worry," he said with confidence, but while minho looked for his cats, seungmin watched minho, a smile slowly stretching across his lips. he liked this. "isnt dori the baby? hiding from the newcomer, are we? i should have brought those treats..."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. closing the door behind seungmin, minho turned back to seungmin and soonie. seungmin with soonie. it was quite the sight, seungmin showing his affection and soonie, not surprisingly but definitely gratifyingly, returning it. minho was happy with this outcome and it showed, ever so subtly, on his face. "not bad. could use more training, though," minho said, just before he was caught off guard by seungmin's comment about his apartment. and to think minho actually believed that seungmin hadn't seen right through his words in the lift. feeling the tips of his ears tingle with warmth, minho scoffed, "no."
then, seungmin went ahead and did... whatever he just did. and the tips of minho's ears /burned/. minho quickly brushed past the younger, just so that his face was out of seungmin's sight. "care to explain what's that supposed to mean, 'fitting'?" he asked as he shrugged his jacket off his shoulders, before taking his shoes off. he turned back to the younger, then decisively stretched his hand out, giving seungmin's wrist a quick tug. "c'mon, it's only polite for you to meet the other owners of the house." hoping the gesture was enough to convince seungmin to follow, minho walked into the apartment, scanning the living room for doongie and dori.
@♡﹕ lee minho. honestly, as soon as seungmin's hand left the other's back, he missed the warmth. but now it'd be weird, right, to reach out and do it again? he felt like an idiot, fumbling with what to do with his empty-feeling hand, only to drop it to his side. he scoffed, then opted to give minho's side a jab. it'd have to do for now.
even though he would have liked looking around first, upon stepping inside with minho, his eyes instantly fell to the cat who greeted their presence. there was a certain fondness that crept rather quickly into his expression, instantly squatting down once inside to offer the creature his fingers to sniff. "well hello, soonie, i've heard so much about you," he mused a little under his breath, adoring the cat as he reached to pet the top of his head. he peered up at minho after, feeling proud of himself. "cat whisperer in training, i told you. so this is the recently cleaned and newly rearranged abode, eh?" pleased with himself, he stood up again and dusted his hands on his legs, just to lift one to brush his finger rather affectionately under minho's chin. he played it off nonchalantly, too. "fitting."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. minho had been too busy replaying the scene, wondering if seungmin looking at him was merely a figment of his imagination. he hadn't noticed that the elevator had reached his floor, not until he felt seungmin's hand on his back. minho's two feet followed seungmin's guidance and stepped out of the lift. "yeah, i didn't think you would know where to go," minho replied dryly.
he walked to his apartment, without seungmin's hand on his back, a fact minho couldn't help but notice. with his key, he opened his front door and stepped in. "welcome to my humble abode," minho said as he turned around to hold the door. he wasn't the only one to welcome seungmin, a meow immediately following his words. "and that's soonie." with a chuckle, minho nodded to the cat who had trotted up to the entrance. of course, soonie was the only one who had paid attention to minho's briefing.
@♡﹕ lee minho. "you and your hypotheticals..." seungmin shook his head, rolling his eyes a bit while glancing away. if he hadn't known any better, it would have been left at that. but now he knew that minho... likely did something to spruce up the place. the thought had seungmin dipping his head, a little laugh that he played off as clearing his through, and maybe, just maybe, a hint of a smile.
he didnt want to seem too eager, that would be weird, right? right? so instead he watched the number on the elevator change, though he couldnt help but glance to minho instead. who, at the exact same time, seemed to look away. that was fine, it could be a secret. when the elevator stopped on the appropriate floor, seungmin reached out without really thinking. one hand slid to the small of minho's back, gently guiding him safely past the doors. he only realized what he was doing when he started pulling his hand away. "lead the way, pretty boy."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. "good thing that was a hypothetical, then," minho said nonchalantly. a half-truth of sorts. he might have cleaned up the place so that it looked like it was for sale, might have spent a little too long on rearranging the items on the kitchen counter; whether it was a redesign was up to interpretation. minho held eye contact as seungmin entered, a huff of air leaving him as a substitute for a laugh when seungmin bumped into him. that imp. "that wasn't an offer. you'll have to ask if you want it," minho said, pressing his floor's button before taking a step back to stand shoulder to shoulder with seungmin, though the elevator was definitely made to accommodate more than two.
minho watched the number on the screen change as the elevator rose, as the realisation that seungmin was actually /here/ began to sink in. minho found his head turning towards seungmin, the few seconds he had gotten before seungmin stepped into the lift clearly insufficient for him. but he caught himself, sharply turning back to look at the elevator door with a short hum, as if to make up for the lack of elevator music.
@♡﹕ lee minho. seungmin's fingers curled into his palms while he stood there waiting, caught between looking to the stairwell and the elevator, then back down to his feet. he would tell himself 'its just minho' but there's nothing 'just' about lee minho. that much was very, very clear. he rocked on his feet, took a deep breath-- and then the elevator doors opened. the nervousness was shoved down, in favor of his usual, playful cocky demeanor.
"then i'd say you wasted time, no need to redesign for me," seungmin tutted softly, letting his eyes wander over the elder's figure, naturally lingering on minho's face. he was really ing pretty, maybe tonight he'd make sure to get those words out, verbally, and not just in text. he wanted to, at least. with a roll of his eyes, his shoulder bumping minho's as he stepped into the elevator, tipping his head back to sigh up at the ceiling dramatically. "maybe another time i'll be carried over the threshold. i'll settle for the door being held for me, this time."
@♡﹕ kim seungmin. minho had thought this through. perhaps it was because he lived with cats, he prided himself in knowing a bit about the harmless version of cat-and-mouse: when to taunt his prey and when to let it go to live another day. he should have let seungmin off after that little bit of teasing, should have let the mouse go before it got caught between the cat's teeth. yet, despite thinking things through, minho had carefully typed out his address. or perhaps, it was /because/ he had thought things through that he hit 'send.'
and despite having thought it through, minho still felt... nervous. taking the elevator down after receiving the younger's message, minho couldn't decide if he wanted to reach the lobby sooner or later. as the lift doors opened to a waiting seungmin, minho decided on 'sooner.' he could feel the corner of his lips twitch, threatening to make a smile, but minho dialled it back to a smirk, accompanied by a raise of his eyebrows. "what if i told you i was busy redesigning my apartment for you because i was /so/ eager?" he challenged. with a small tip of his head, minho beckoned seungmin to enter the elevator, index finger pressing the button to hold the door. "come on in," he said, his lack of expression hiding a glint of mischief in his eyes. "you can't possibly be expecting me to carry you already?"
@♡﹕ lee minho. kim seungmin was not a nervous person. or at least he wasnt, until lee minho waltzed into his life. it wasnt a bad thing in the slightest, it was new, but it landed him in an unexpected position, which involved getting into a taxi and getting the quickest route to the address now saved to his phone. his leg bounced in the seat. he kept looking between his messages and the street in front of him. it had been so easy, so so easy, to get to this point, even though seungmin had thought he was doing well holding out. then the desire smacked him in the face and, well, then he was pulling up to minho's apartment building.
paying the fees and waving the cab off, seungmin shot the elder a quick message, letting him know he was there. then he tucked his hands into his pockets as nonchalantly as he could and waited in the lobby, trying not to seem too eager or nervous, whatever he was feeling, really. he even bit back the smirk that threatened to dance upon his lips when minho did finally show up (it wasnt that long, it just felt like ages). "took you long enough, must not have been that eager."
