races + Positions
*note: I have researched about all these magical/mythical beings and I pretty much chose my favorite description for them.
witches, Warlocks, wizzards + sorcerer
⋄ Witches are only females, long ago you could become a witch by learning spells and studying under one but now the magic of witches it passed down through genes, and you can only be born a witch. They tend to live until the age 12,000 , life can be extended but only with black magic.
⋄ Warlocks are only male and they are pretty much the male equivelent to witches. They're known to be typically evil, but that's just a rumor humans made up. They also live up to the age 12,000.
⋄ Wizzards can be male of female, they tend to be male though. Wizzards, gain their magical power through knowledge and they go to school to learn how to use magic. They're very smart and wise, and are very powerful. They tend to live to be about 11,500. A human could become a wizzard but they'd have to find a place to study magic first.
⋄ Sorcerers/Sorceress are born with magic, and are the most powerful. They use magic effortlessly and often have no formal training. Their power has no limit, but must be careful that their power doesn't go to their head. The age they live to is unknown but it's known they outlive witches.
vampires + Werewolves
⋄ Vampires look like humans but they have fangs. They're very pale and their skin is cold to the touch. They are extremely fast and strong. Their reflection is very faint, and they can't go out in sunlight. Crosses and garlic is just a myth. They feed off of blood and are immortal. You can kill a vampire by cutting off their head or exposing them to the sunlight. If not killed vampires will live forever. How to become one? Two ways, if you drink a vampires blood, just one drop can turn you and if a vampire drinks all of your blood, you will die and then come back as a vampire. A witch can turn a someone into a vampire with a curse, that's now forbidden because it's black magic.
⋄ Werewolves, humans that can turn into wolves. They are very strong when they turn, and even in their human form have a good sense of smell and are still strong. They turn into wolves only when the moon is full, but at will can turn into a partial wolf. This is where they still like a man but have animal features. You can kill a werewolf using anything made of silver, like a sword made out of silver, or silver bullets. They tend to live for about 500 years. You can turn into a werewolves by being bitten or scratched by one ONLY when they are in full wolf form. Again black magic can turn someone.
Faires, elves, pixies + genies
⋄ Faries are look like tiny humans with butterfly wings. They are very beautiful and kind spirited. They live in nature and their magic tends to be related to an element. In the human realm they can disguise themself to look human. Faries are very one with nature. The only way to become a farie is by being born one. They tend to live until they are 12,000.
⋄ Elves look like humans, they tend to be on the shorter side though and have the basic pointy ears. They tend to look fairly young even when they're old. They also tend to be mischevious and play tricks on humans and others. They are known to be imortal.
⋄ Pixies are smaller than farries and have beautiful butterfly wings. Their skin tends to be colored, like pink, blue and other colors, along with their hair and eyes. Pixies like elves also have pointed ears, they also very youthful faces. They tend to be more mischevious than elves, and they hate faries. Pixies live to be 12,000.
⋄ Genies look like humans, they are born with magic and are known to be fortune tellers/grant wishes. They live within a lamp, which they hide because if someone were to rub their lamp they'd be forced to grant them three wishes. They are imortal, and if you break their lamp they lose their magic and become human.
Mermaids/mermen + centaurs
⋄ Mermaids are women who have the tail of a fish instead of legs. They live in any body of water and are very beautiful. Their tails are very beautiful and colorful and they have beautiful singing voices. When washed up on land their fin dries up and they shed it and have human legs. They have lungs and tiny gils. If they get wet their tail will come back. They can live out of water for about a couple months, they need water to survive. They live for a couple thousand years. Mermen are just the male version of mermaids.
⋄ Centaurs are half human and half horse. From the waist down is body of a horse. They can be male and female. They are known to be expert warriors, good with a bow and arrow, a sword and excellent blacksmiths. They are scene to be as barbaric and very wild. They as well tend to be a couple thousand years.
HALF-BEINGS/HYBRIDS
It is possible to be half being/hybrids, are what they are called. You are only born a hybrid. If a vampire and human have a baby, of course with the help of magic, the baby would be able to go into the sunlight, they'd feed off of blood, have a faint reflection.
⋄ Witches- It's possible, to be born with the magic withc gene, and never know. If a witch isn't exposed to her magic powers, they could be dormant for years.
⋄ Fairies/Pixies/Elves- You'd have wings still, but you'd be human sized.
⋄ Genies- if your lamp smashed, you'd still have your magic power.
⋄ Centaurs- you'd still be half horse, sorry.
⋄ Mermaids/Mermen- You can live out of water forever, and don't need water to breath but if you go in water will grow a tail.

⋄ Humans...boring. They die before they even turn 100 and they don't age very well. I don't think I have to explain them

Different positions you can have.
hunters
You hunt mythical creatures, some hunt them all, some hunt vampires, werewolves, witches, mermaids, you name it and there is someone who hunts it. Hunters tend to be humans, they hunt in the human realm, but their could be some magical beings who hunt other bad magical beings.
collectors
Collectors, pay hunters to capture magical beings and they collect them. Keeping them as pets and in cages for their collection. Most times magical beings would rather just be killed by a hunter than live captive to a collector. Collectors tend to be human, only an evil magical being would collect others.
dark veil
The Dark Veil is an organization of magical beings who use black magic, and their powers for evil. Members believe that magical beings should rule the human realm, and should stop living in hiding in the human realm. They hate humans. HISTORY OF THE DARK VEIL.
citizen
You can just be a regular citizen too.
