Despite the obvious risks of entrusting the halfling with a command position, I have realized over the time I have spent observing him lead Squad 719 that his men trust him to lead them and he leads them to a victory. Even despite the taint of his blood, he makes a fine leader and his long life has given him a keen mind for strategy.

Despite the obvious risks of entrusting the halfling with a command position, I have realized over the time I have spent observing him lead Squad 719 that his men trust him to lead them and he leads them to a victory. Even despite the taint of his blood, he makes a fine leader and his long life has given him a keen mind for strategy.
It is because of this that I have decided to leave the first wave under his command. They will sweep the city and obliterate whatever, and whoever, stands in their way and he will hear the screams of his own people and know that this is his purpose: a Trojan horse, born to gain the trust of his kind and destroy them from the inside out.
He is a man I know better than to trust. After all, hunter or not, he is one of them and he has killed his people for many long, long years. And one day he will turn on us, and when he turns, we will be ready.

The day of the first wave draws nearer. I see him making ready with his two favorites, though one of them is his own Trojan horse. He loves that which will destroy him in the end.
He has doubled down on them, to make them work harder. I have seen the state of exhaustion he works his men into and it is impressive—his squad still looks at him like he is the sunlight in this world of darkness. But he is born of the darkness itself. One day, he will be replaced by a true beacon of light.

They are ready.
The first wave will strike in one week, and he has made them ready. I had hoped there would be trouble for him somewhere, but the recruits no longer bat an eye at the sight of the halfling. They have accepted him.
If they accept him, will they accept others?
Surely not, they have watched the halfling kill without second thought, for that is his purpose.
I will not worry.
- MORTEM MOBILIZES is 1/2 the theme of the event. Mortem characters are expected to write their posts as attackers / infiltrators of the city and citizens. They do not have to attack played characters.
- As we have few Mortem characters, most characters fought by the Dream Guard/Vos/Chau/citizens will probably be NPCs.
- Mortem is under the command of Ailell Brier for this event.
