It is with utmost delight that I announce the inaugural gala of the year — our Lunar Seollal Gala, graciously hosted by Her Majesty, Queen Min! Make sure to hold onto this invitation, as it will be requisite for entry along with the name of your favorite song at the moment.

           

This splendid event is set within the opulent confines of the royal palace, convened to mark the commencement of the new Lunar year and to unite the ton in a joyous reunion! Furthermore, this year's festivities bear the additional significance of celebrating our triumphant victory in the Battle of Hamgyeong.

In accordance with our cherished traditions, a bountiful feast awaits accompanied by formal dances that promise to grace the ballroom floor with unparalleled elegance. Knowing my penchant for such affairs, I eagerly anticipate witnessing all the pairings that shall adorn the dance floor.

For those yearning for an extra dose of excitement, allow me to share reliable intelligence that hints at another round of the Queen's Great Experiment that will be taking place at this very gala. Eligible singles hailing from all families are strongly encouraged to enlist themselves. To the marriageable women, it's time to embark on a quest for items to present! May the upcoming experiment be as thrilling and heart-fluttering as the last!

ONE; if you have not signed up for the blind date event, this event is NOT MANDATORY, but it’s highly encouraged for your characters to join as they provide character development and storyline advancement. you may find the guidelines on dance etiquette in the etiquette handbook.

TWO; OOC this event will last an entire month from january 13 to february 13. ic, it will occur on february 6th. You may start your thread once the event begins.

per usual, we will be holding a thread check at the end of the event duration.

all blind dates are expected to take place during the night of the gala. you may start your threads as soon as you have gotten your blind date partner.

THREE; Submissions for the society papers will now be permanently opened, so that muns can submit gossip at any given moment. this is to ensure that we do not let anything slip through the cracks in the time between each new volume of the society papers. while muns will still be required to submit at least one piece of gossip after each major event, we hope that you will find the incentive to submit extra gossip if you know of it so as to give us more content for the society papers! the gossip padlet can be found here.
