so work on the roleplay is well underway but we've come across one issue that consistently persists: character names. we've been brainstorming possible solutions but nothing feels quite right at the moment, pxssionfruit made a suggestion that i'm personally down for but i know that it's a divisive issue on rpr.

and what's that issue? original names.

love 'em or hate 'em, they exist. most of the time, they don't work. some of the time, they do work and they work splendidly when they do(looking at you, magicians).

so what are your thoughts? here is a little bit of information regarding the roleplay that i can reveal help make your decision,

- shakespeare inspired
- royal x mafia
- an extensive in-world lore
- 40+ character skeletons in the making as well as the opportunity to create your own character should you not like any of the skeletons (don't worry, skeletons will be vague enough for you to make your own changes!)

if you have any comments, we'd love to hear them!

I think making OC names help flesh a character out and do better at distinguishing them as separate from the faceclaim.

They're great but some rpr people give names that simply don't make sense to their oc's background, ethnicity, and roleplay's lore.

hm, honestly, i'm good with original names but i'm not the best when it comes to creating names from scratch. but other than that, go for it!

I worry that it isn't clear but by original names I mean:
park seonghwa = atticus crawford // chris hemsworth = chad chaddington the third
