Having a child without a mate was definitely a huge taboo, he and his omega parent would be discriminated. One day, while his omega parent was buying food for them, he was being by a group of alphas. Yan Jun wasn't aware until he saw his omega parent carrying another sibling

His omega parent managed to protect the 10 children by sending all of them out, Yan Jun was pushed out of the house. He ran out, hoping to get someone to save his omega parent. It took him days, he ran out of the pack, and managed to bump into another pack leader, Nie Mingjue's father.
The Previous Nie Leader took him and heal him. He was being sent back to Wen Pack right after with a little paper of the previous Nie Leader's address. When he ran back, he saw a body, his omega parent, his clothes were ripped apart and not breathing. He was being to death.
From then on, he worked really hard, with the secret help of the previous Nie Leader, he was able to attend Fenrir Academy. Being the top in his class in year 1, the current Wen leader, Wen Rouhan, took him to be a scholar, to help the pack with war strategies.
The mask is the most important thing to him, the only thing that his omega parents left for him. He wears this everyday and only remove it when he is alone.
