possibly rewriting background Eric Jin was born in the Lanling Jin pack, raised by only one of his parents -- his alpha parent, as it so happened. Eric was raised with the expectation of being an alpha, or at least a beta, but when it became apparent that he was an omega his father was disappointed and refused to allow Eric to grow up in a way that he considered /weak/. Eric was forced to grow up a warrior, becoming a fighter for his pack.
