born from an extramarital affair between a pureblood and a human, Jiyeon was resented by the wolf's parents and the pureblood's arranged-marriage spouse, another pureblood. Jiyeon's mother died from birthing complications, leaving her to suffer alone at the hands of the pureblood's family, though her wolf mother did her best to shield Jiyeon from the attacks. her wolf mother cared for her and gave her the love of two parents, constantly reminding her that she was born out of love. her half-siblings told her otherwise -- not only was she a bastard child, she was also a filth inferior to the purebloods -- Jiyeon was ranked even lower than the humans in their eyes. her lack of ability to control her power only made them mock her even further, which made her stop using her power in front of them. Jiyeon didn't mind being despised; she had a mother to whom she was close and who adored her, despite the negative influence from others.
 
things changed as she grew older, looking more like her human mother day by day as her features set in. the chronic reminder of her true love made it difficult for Jiyeon's mother to look at her, for she only saw the painful memories of her love dying, distancing herself from her child, until one day she stopped acknowledging Jiyeon's existence. Jiyeon tried to get the other's attention to no avail; the attacks which were previously stopped now barraged even more. depressed, Jiyeon retreated into her room and into a shell, not even protesting when she was found out she was being sent to an orphanage.
 
the children at the orphanage did not care about one's bloodline or species. humans and wolves of all bloodlines coexisted, forging ties stronger than blood. it was there that Jiyeon gained a family -- one deeper than which she had ever known -- and broke out of her shell, regaining her self-confidence. with her family's blessings, she left the orphanage at the age of 15 to realize her mission: halfblood or coreless, one can stand alongside a pureblood! she has since been taken in by the Nie pack. hopes to reconcile with her mother one day.

cheerful and spirited, Jiyeon is kind to everyone and treats them all the same, regardless of their status or species. dislikes fights but will not hesitate to stand up for her beliefs. strong-willed and diligent. can be obstinate to a fault. playful and mischievous at times.
 
 cell manipulation has a wide range of applications. from healing to regeneration to disintegration, this power can be used for both offensive and defensive functions. originally lacking in control over her power, Jiyeon has since learnt how to control it and is able to heal wounds fully. she now seeks to expand it to offensive functions.
