The year is 5972. The world seems to have gone backwards in advancement but supernatural creatures now rule the planet, greatly lowering humans in the overall hierarchy as these new species have taken over. How did this happen? No one knows the specifics, but it all started with something called The Great Wave.

On October 20th of 2022, all humans on Earth were turned to stone statues after a wave of green light washed over the planet. It all happened so fast that no one had time to react or do anything, and no one but those in orbit remained unfrozen by the wave. Said people came back to the planet to learn and try to figure out what was going on in the world, to see if there was a way to undo the sudden petrification afflicting everyone else, but they were unsuccessful in their initial attempts. They just left clues about the past for those that eventually did revive to uncover. And in the meantime, generations of humans spawned from the astronauts who came back, sharing their own tales of the past and trying to keep record. All seemed well for a while... Then they realized they were not alone.

A few generations after the astronauts all passed, supernatural beings began appearing. They were creatures of all kinds. Some had pointy ears, some had bunny ears, and some even had gills. The new generations of humans had never seen or heard of creatures like these before but were fascinated by them. They very easily let their guard down and wanted to know more about these strange types of people, and that would later be their gravest mistake.

Over time, the other species began to mistreat humans in various ways and it wasn't until the year 5365 that they discovered a way to revive a lot of their stony brethren. With both their knowledge and their numbers, they were strong enough to stand up against their new foes. They waged and participated in war after war after war against the new species until it felt hopeless and hardly any humans were left compared to the other species. As such, there are now "human colonies" and districts on earth for the humans who remain. Some colonies are better off than others, sure, but all humans are treated as scum, food, slaves, experiments, etc. And at this point in time, it's not just the humans anymore.

For people of other species that get banished from their home region or are abandoned, they go to secret, usually underground facilities that are called "Sola Cities"—blended communities for any and all species to start life anew. They are all given the opportunity to flourish and thrive in these facilities... Just as long as they aren't discovered by one of the above-ground species.

Beautiful Creatures RP takes place in one of the sola cities called "Origo" which is the largest sola city harboring both creatures of all kinds and stone humans that have yet to revive. It has been successfully hidden for hundreds of years, but the threat of an invasion from those up top looms closer and closer each day. Here in the RP, you can get the chance to be one of the surface dwellers, one of the underground, or even one of the stone humans. Your background and whatnot really depends on what you want to do.

This roleplay was inspired by the anime/manga Dr. Stone, the game Final Fantasy XII (and other games in this series), DND (loosely), and other RPs I've created. It aspires to be one where possibilities and creativity flourish. The components that make up the RP will help support the development of muses you can be proud of while still keeping in mind our rules and guidelines. We hope to provide you with many creative freedoms and a comfortable space to write and explore your muses with this roleplay. With this in mind, we have an implemented feedback system to help us cultivate an establishment that fosters a positive community that also grows with its community. BEFORE RESERVING ⬙   Make sure you read the GUIDE tab (specifically the species room) at least and read all of these rules.

DISCLAIMER ⬙   Absolutely no OOC drama though IC drama is fine with the consent of those involved and in threads (more on that later). We are an easy-going RP filled with laid-back people who wish to only vibe. If you cause trouble to the point where I have to step in, I will take action how I see fit. Whether that means you get a warning or get removed depends on what you did.

IC & OOC BONDING ⬙   As this is a small RP, I will kick you out if you bubble RP or chat. If you don't get along with someone else here or know they don't get along with you, you don't have to write with them, but at least be civil in public spaces. Don't make everyone uncomfortable and please be mature. Also do your best to make everyone feel welcome.

MATURE CONTENT & IC DRAMA ⬙   Do not try to talk or send explicit photos in chats, save that for PMs, walls, or anywhere else where prying eyes aren't. The safe phrase is "not feeling so beautiful." Also know that I will allow in character drama and mature content that isn't ual (like violence, for example) and such. Just be sure you a) make sure to include trigger/content warnings for things when appropriate, b) have the consent of all involved parties, and c) keep it out of public spheres if you wouldn't feel comfortable writing it in a class or text to your parents.

PROFILES & INFO ⬙   You must set up a DP, set up the OOC portion of your profile, and post in your first 24 hours or I'll kick you out. You also have a week from when you're tagged in the welcome room to have at least the basics of a profile up, but I'm not going to strictly enforce that. It's more so people have an easier time plotting.

IC & OOC ⬙   Keep OOC and IC separate. If the conversation is OOC, keep it OOC. If it is IC, keep it IC. You will be expected to use brackets any time you post OOC in IC RP spaces. Please also don't RP in the OOC room... I've noticed some people do that for some reason, so this is your only warning. I will kick you out if you consistently keep mixing IC and OOC.

LEAVING & BEING KICKED ⬙   If leaving, PM the ADMIN character and only the ADMIN character with a reason why you're leaving. If you PM any non-admin characters, I will ban you and delete your character. I will also delete your character and ban you if I have to remove you for anything other than inactivity. Make sure you save everything you find important.

INACTIVITY ⬙   Inactivity is set to 21 days and starts after you start at least 1 public thread at the moment. You probably won't get kicked for having the inactive sign up as long as you communicate with the rest of us why it's there. If you ghost and go MIA without some kind of message or warning, though, I'll kick you out. You can always come back.

NOTE ⬙   All points are automatically off unless in IC rooms. This is so you can see how active you actually are as you write.

FACECLAIMS ⬙   Face claims must be 21 and older internationally. When reserving them, please comment with their name, group/job, full date of birth, and their OC name for the RP. There is a list of already taken face claims located here. All reservations last for 48 hours. The following are things to note when requesting a face claim:

NAMING MUSES ⬙   This RP is an OC (Original Character) RP. Muses in this roleplay are to be given OC names that are not alternate versions of their name or stage names (i.e. "Olivia Hye" instead of Son Hyejoo, "Jennifer Huh" instead of Heo Yunjin, or "RM" instead of Kim Namjoon). OC names must be unrelated to the IRL face claim.
