@ω Do Kyungsoo "So I guess you want me to leave then," Yifan assumed, unsure of any other possible answer. The omega clearly didn't like alphas - luckily not just Yifan in particular - and it seemed that every moment that Yifan spent standing in front of him was making him uncomfortable. They weren't maintaining eye contact for very long before the latter found somewhere else to look.

Cautiously, Yifan took a step back, wondering if at least the distance between them would make things easier. "I can help you if you'd like. I'm not sure how much help I'd be but alphas are supposed to protect their omegas, not make them fearful of them." Clearing his throat, Yifan tapped his heel on the concrete, stepping aside as a woman walked past him as to not make contact. "I live in the north if you ever want some kind of help."

Bringing the mask back over his face, Yifan placed his hands back into his pockets, his fingers wrapping around a tube of chap stick just to fidget with. With nothing else to say, he took another look at the omega and spun on his heel. Although he had come the other way into the library, if he went the right way, part of Yifan feared making the situation worse. At least nobody dangerous was there.

@α Wu Yifan The omega could sense the alpha's uneasiness, and that, in turn, made him more skittish. He'd only feel better if either A: the alpha calmed down, or B: the alpha left. Neither was happening now, so Kyungsoo fought to keep from fidgeting where he stood, lest he appear disrespectful and make the stranger angry.

Kyungsoo let out a sigh and shook his head, ruffling the hair on the back of his head, "Dislike you?" he frowned, "I don't even know you," the omega shook his head once more, "No I just... it's just..." Kyungsoo worked his jaw, trying to search for the right way to word his thoughts, "Let's just say... I haven't had the best luck concerning alphas..." the omega couldn't seem to make eye contact.

@ω Do Kyungsoo This was the first time Yifan was experiencing someone being afraid of him. He didn't think it was someone else that the omega was afraid of with the way that he was being looked at. His eyes narrowed slightly, stepping back on his own to keep the omega comfortable. As confused as he was with the situation, it seemed that his presence in general was making the other male feel uneasy.

Yifan huffed a little bit, disappointed inwardly that it wasn't cold enough to show his breath. "I, uh - sorry. I just thought something was wrong. The library usually smells much more at ease but when I got there I sensed some kind of panic." The alpha felt unsure about what was going on. He was trying to get to the bottom of the peculiar smell but finding out one answer only led to more curiosity on Yifan's part.

"Do you dislike alphas or do you just dislike me?" He asked, unable to help himself. "I don't remember you from my pack so if it's something personal, I can apologize for it." Yifan rubbed his arms briefly just to do something. He wasn't sure what bothering the omega would solve but with something wrong, Yifan's instincts were begging him to solve it, to make the omega happy.

@α Wu Yifan Kyungso remained a few steps back, keeping his distance partly so he wouldn't have to injure his neck looking up into the stranger's face, and partly because he still felt defensive. His posture, however, was much more relaxed, or, a better word, at home, as they were in them middle of the city and surrounded by humans. The omega had been living here for years, and he never let his wolf go free. Sometimes, he even forgot what he was, he felt human.

At this moment, however, Kyungsoo was horribly aware of what he was. He shook his head rapidly, naturally round eyes widening, "Well, yes, something's wrong--well--I-I mean--" Kyungsoo exhaled and closed his eyes. He didn't want to get into the complicated hurricane of reasons why he was afraid of alphas, "It's a long story,"

The omega lifted his right index finger up, where it had finally stopped bleeding, "I got a paper cut... that explains the blood for you..." Kyungsoo stuffed his hands in his coat pockets. His cheeks were rosy from the cold, and he knocked his shoes softly against the sidewalk.

@ω Do Kyungsoo Something he would never be able to live down would be scaring off an omega. So far, it seemed that that may just happen. Yifan didn't want to be too persistent but the smell of blood and fear was unnerving that as a pack alpha, he just couldn't leave it alone. He knew the wolf wasn't part of his pack, but he still had to know now. The curiosity was beginning to eat at both him and his wolf.

The omega speaking to him distracted him from his thoughts. Since the male was so adamant about ignoring and running away from him, Yifan was surprised that he was approached first. Looking left and right, Yifan pulled the mask off so that it could rest bunched at his chin, the strings pulling his ears slightly. "I don't either. I smelled blood so I was concerned. It was only a little and I might've overreacted, but I smelled blood and with so many humans around, I thought something was wrong."

Shrugging, Yifan kept his shoulders slightly hunched, his gaze going to various different faces. Usually on a trip to the city Yifan never mentioned his status as a werewolf, however, he was already speaking before his wolf could fully decide if it was smart or not. "I guess I was the one that was wrong?" He let out a small awkward laugh, running his fingers through his hair briefly. His usual confident behavior affected by how he was caught off guard in the situation. Clearly, being an alpha didn't necessarily mean he would be prepared for every situation.

@α Wu Yifan The deep breaths of the cool air cleared Kyungsoo's hazy mind, and he was able to think more clearly. He was about to open his eyes, when he caught a large whiff of the alpha coming outside, so he kept his eyes closed. Come on, just go away. Go away.... But the scent wasn't going anywhere.

Taking another deep breath, Kyungsoo slowly opened his eyes. Turning towards the scent, he felt his wolf quiver at the sight of the alpha. The stranger was unmistakably, irrefutably, an alpha. The omega started from his large shoes, up the legs that seemed to go on forever, up to that strong torso, and a face that meant business. Kyungsoo gulped audibly. He didn't recognize the stranger, and assumed he wasn't from around here.

Deciding it was better to just be civilized about this, Kyungsoo gathered himself up and lifted his hands up, showing his empty palms, as he shuffled forward, "Um..." he cleared his throat, visibly flinching when he caught the alpha's attention. Quickly his lips, the omega dipped his head with natural submission, though, he made an effort to maintain eye contact, "I-I don't want any trouble..."

@ω Do Kyungsoo With his back to everyone else, Yifan could tell that the source was leaving. He got up again and went to the bathroom first, opening and closing it just enough so that he could catch the scent up close without any barriers. Now he could tell that it was distinctly an omega, tinged with a hint of blood in the air. Crinkling his nose in distaste for the blood part, Yifan made his way downstairs, taking two at a time. A woman who was upstairs as well and had witnessed his indecisive behavior gave him a look to which he ignored.

His nose told him that the omega was still close by. He - or she maybe - couldn't have made it that far just yet. Carefully, Yifan dug through his pocket to take out a small mask, just enough to cover his nose and mouth from any unwanted smells. At times, his wolf was quite particular and felt unnerved by unfamiliar scents and sounds. While the library was quiet, outside it was not.

Yifan exhaled, his breath kept within the mask warmly. Briefly, he rubbed his hands together and then shoved them deep into his pockets, lingering nearby. The scent was so close but he didn't want to risk scaring the omega off.

@β Kim Woo Bin; She run in a human pace outside the huge building. She looked back at the male following her behind and smiles “Come on, you’re so slow in human form” she a bit before continue to run but in a slower pace. She held on to her hat as her dress flows with every step she made. The sun is stinging every people yet the wind is quite chilly at the same time. Summer has come to them and she enjoyed how the sun is kissing her skin. Usually she prefers to run in her wolf form until she must drags herself to the house because she uses her legs to run so much. But she can’t, at least not in the time being. Now she must enjoy with her two good legs and a good book. She had decided to go to the public library, a perfect place to relax and read useful resources at the same time. Of course, the leader had sent someone to look over her. Not that she minds, she enjoys a familiar company. As she entered, she gawked at all the books stacked beautifully. It must be millions of them, there are so many for her to read “Paradise…” she mumbled lightly as she stayed on her ground

@α Wu Yifan Kyungsoo let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding when he heard the alpha's footsteps walk away from the door. This was his chance. Slowly, he pulled the door open, peeking his head out cautiously. Scanning the area carefully, he slipped out quickly. Adjusting his coat and scarf, the omega once more resumed in making his way towards the stairs.

Quickly scaling the stairs, Kyungsoo waved to the human librarian he'd befriended after coming to the library so many times. The air was crisp and nippy outside, and the omega took a breather, leaning against the outside of the building. His breath came out in clouds as he exhaled, leaning his head back against the wall, closing his eyes.

@ω Do Kyungsoo It seemed like, if he chose to go inside the bathroom, there would be two possible outcomes. He would become the victim, walking into a trap or he would encounter a victim - from what, Yifan wouldn't know unless he went inside. After briefly weighing his options, Yifan backed away from the door, retracing his steps from where he came to go back to his original table. He had nothing to read to occupy himself with so he distractedly grabbed the magazine laying on the table wide open.

Keeping his eyes down, Yifan kept himself focused. He could hear a strong heartbeat along with the scent of an omega. An omega that didn't want to reveal himself for whatever reason. He wasn't much of a threat unless he had to be, Yifan idly decided as he kept his finger on the page, tapping away at the glossy picture.

Yifan was really tempted to find out what was happening. A woman from afar probably thought that something was wrong with Yifan for walking back and forth around the floor like he was lost. He couldn't deny that he was acting odd, but if there was a possibility that something as wrong and someone - another werewolf - needed him, he wanted to still be around. Typical library patrons didn't strike Yifan as quick to act in times of crisis.

@α Wu Yifan After his breathing returned to a more normal pace, Kyungsoo set his bag down and focused on washing his finger. It still stung a bit, but the bleeding had gone down significantly. Taking a strip of paper towel, the omega wrapped his finger snugly. Looking at his reflection in the mirror, Kyungsoo sighed.

Taking the chance, he knelt and organized the contents of his bag, straightening out papers and books he'd just thrown in in a haste. He'd just straightened up, when the scent of the alpha grew stronger. It had merely been something in the background up to this point, but now... Kyungsoo knew he was on the outside of the bathroom door. Clutching his fists, Kyungsoo didn't know what to do. Should he leave? He couldn't just stay in the bathroom, he could get cornered there. The omega shuffled from side to side in indecision.

@ω Do Kyungsoo Now alert, Yifan picked up various kinds of smells. He could smell the slightest bit of blood - caused by a harsh paper cut perhaps - and panic in the midst of the library's calm. What bothered Yifan the most was that he was unable to pinpoint the meaning of the sudden panic. It had been peaceful only moments before sitting down so why the sudden change?

Dejectedly, he put the book back onto the self where he found it. He knew from experience of coming to the same library repeatedly which books where on which of the floors. His favorites were on the second floor, but now he had to leave to get away from what's going on. But not before investigating just a little bit more. Yifan had always been cautious, but not enough to eliminate his natural curiosity.

He could follow the scent quite easily, passing shelves with nobody standing nearby. A door marked for employees, Yifan decided after listening in, had a few people on the other side, but he sensed that they were too calm and wasn't who he was looking for. The only other way out of line of sight was the bathroom on the current floor. Yifan was sure that he had found where the source was coming from, though he wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go inside.

@α Wu Yifan His finger was still bleeding, and Kyungsoo was beginning to full blown panic. He'd spotted the alpha's movement, seeing him stand up, and his heartbeat came to a screeching stop. Scrambling to get his things into his bag, Kyungsoo stuffed everything inside haphazardly, hoisting the strap over his shoulder.

He pulled his sleeve down to cover his bleeding finger, and he stumbled away from the table. Kyungsoo made a beeline for the stairs, making sure to give the alpha a wide berth. So far, he hadn't been spotted. He'd just reached the door to the stairs, when the sign for the restroom caught his eye. Better find something to wrap his finger in. Heading towards the bathroom, Kyungsoo entered it, sighing as he leaned against the sink.

@ω Do Kyungsoo He wasn't exactly dedicated to looking for what happened to the scent but that it suddenly disappeared made Yifan concerned. Even as he tried to read his book, he was unable to fully concentrate on the words that he was reading. Most of it, although he was reading it, wasn't sticking once he moved to the next paragraph or page. He was much too focused on what was going on around him to really focus.

Deciding that he wasn't doing anything productive, Yifan snapped the book closed and got up. The bottom floor from what he heard from where he stood, was much quieter. The activity on the ground floor almost seemed peaceful, just as he thought his current floor was. Yifan took one last discrete sniff to the air, picking up the scent that had disappear reappear again.

He took the fact that he hadn't moved yet to his advantage. Using returning the book to its original place as an excuse to walk around a little bit more. Yifan was just curious. He wanted to know what was going on. He didn't want to stick around anymore if something was wrong.

@α Wu Yifan Grateful for the stacks of books that partially concealed him, Kyungsoo peered over them slightly, slowly scanning the room. His nostrils flared as he focused on the individual scents of everyone nearby. Human.... human... definitely human... Kyungsoo frowned and continued, continuing to look around. Human... human... alpha. ALPHA.

Having found the alpha, Kyungsoo jolted a bit, causing his finger that had been poised on a page of the book in front of him to slide harshly against the edge, breaking the skin. Hissing, Kyungsoo looked down and watched the tiny droplets of blood bead against the surface, "," he whispered, immediately sticking the finger in his mouth. The scent masker was useless now, his blood overpowering anything artificial. The omega crouched behind the books, hoping he wouldn't be found. Though, he pretty much knew he was screwed.

@ω Do Kyungsoo Happily, Yifan wandered the rest of the shelves that were nearby while he searched for a table. There wasn't that many on the floor that he was on, but luckily he didn't have to sit with someone else. He only read a few pages before he looked up, catching an unfamiliar scent hit the air. Yifan was quite proud that he was able to identify scents easily. As to not reveal himself, Yifan prefers to lay low himself, never approaching other werewolves in public he doesn't know. Though, this time, the scent of a werewolf somewhere suddenly was dulled, making Yifan get on edge.

His nose crinkled as he sniffed the air obviously. A woman from afar noticed, giving him a look but didn't comment on his odd behavior. He was sitting completely straight as he tried to search for where the smell went. To bystanders he looked odd but he didn't care. It was peculiar. He had been careful to make sure that nobody threatening was in the library before even setting foot inside. Now, Yifan was beginning to second guess himself.

@α Wu Yifan Right in the middle of scribbling down a word, the potent, most unwelcome scent of alpha hit Kyungsoo's nostrils. He wrinkled his nose and took an experimental sniff just to make sure his mind wasn't playing tricks on him. Nope. Not a trick. Looking around in alarm, Kyungsoo couldn't locate wherever the alpha was, but knew he had to be close. On this floor, for sure.

Digging around inside his backpack, Kyungsoo took out a bottle of scent masker and spritzed himself with it. Though he wasn't in heat, sometimes it didn't matter to alphas, and they took advantage of omegas wherever they found them. He'd learned that the hard way. Unfortunately. The scent masker didn't conceal his natural omega pheromones completely, but it behaved more like a cloaking device, to sort of subtly deter alphas away.

@ω Do Kyungsoo The thing about living in the mountains is that, it gets boring. There's only so much to do and when he can do it. Blending in as a human has always come in handy. Blending in as a human for so many years is the reason why Yifan doesn't quite understand why the packs had to split up in the first place. If they were able to live peacefully before, they should be able to continue that cycle.

But for some reason, they don't. So Yifan can't act quite as freely as he could before. He learned to go places that weren't often disturbed where he wouldn't be at risk. The library offered that perfect atmosphere - safety and silence - that he was looking for.

Unhurried, Yifan walked up and down aisles of books, dragging his fingers along the spines as he looked for what he wanted. Although it took him a bit of searching, he finally found what he was looking for, pulling the thick leather bound book off the shelf. He had read it a few times before but the library was so comfortable that he felt the desire to do it again.

One of the many reasons why Kyungsoo loved to teach was that he never stopped learning. Whether it was with interacting with his students, or socializing with the parents, there was never a dull moment. Today, the administration of the school he worked at required all teachers to be up to date with the latest information and teaching styles. So, being the diligent, hard worker he was, Kyungsoo packed up and headed to the library.

Glasses poised on the tip of his nose, Kyungsoo was seated on one of the many tables in the back of the library, surrounded by stacks of books. He was taking copious notes in a small notebook as he read from a large volume in front of him. He would have checked the books out and taken them home, but Kyungsoo preferred the silent, sterile environment the library offered without distractions. That, and, he wouldn't have been strong enough to lug them all back to his apartment. Kyungsoo was completely focused, lips moving slightly with the words he read.
