Then the forest is a bad idea. There'll be a large concentration of wolves and it's nearly mating season; females will be defensive and male aggressive. The mountains.. They'll get cold soon. The prairie has a creek , but.. With such vast and flat land, it'll be tough finding shelter that isn't taken. We're stuck with the valley if we want to avoid a large body of water.

I dunno, I guess it comes down to if we want contact with other wolves or not.... Which is a subject I'm kinda iffy off... it would be nice for the pup to have some friends and for us to gain some allies.... but not all of the packs are friendly /frowns
