RIVER.

song jieun (music4ever-_-kun) 8 years ago
@seokjin Listening to his description of the green he loved, though he had said that he liked it, and the girl only watched him in awe as the images of the greens that he had described overlapped her vision, all bright and vibrant, full of life. "Wow" She murmured softly, but a small smile graced her lips as she thought about the contrasting differences. He loved green, the colour of the earth and life, spellbindingly beautiful to the eye. The wolf loved the sky, mysterious waters, and darkness. She was addicted to mysteries and the danger of the unknown. Blue was a colour that could make a thin piece of paper seem like a bottomless pit, like the depths of the ocean.
Hearing that he liked jasmine tea, the girl nodded and laughed softly at his story, picturing a young Seokjin stealing sips of the sweet tea from his mother. When he spoke about coffee, a single eyebrow rose at his comment about black coffee as she bit back a soft giggle. "I'm sorry to hear that you don't like coffee." Jieun said, partially apologetic and part teasing, as she shook her head sadly. "I actually like my coffee black… So thanks for telling me I'm a man." She said jokingly as she placed her hands on her hips and tossed her head back rather arrogantly as she looked at him with narrowed, condescending eyes that quickly fell into a short series of giggles. "Well, coffee's an acquired taste, kind of like alcohol. But tea is always great for any occasion!" She said, smiling brightly at the other.
Watching his expression change, the grin on the wolf's face only grew wider as she knew that her surprise was going to be returned. Jieun leaned back a bit as she closed her eyes when hear the sound of a hand brushing into water. As cool droplets fell on her face, the girl let out a small yelp as she scrambled to her feet and slipped into the water, gasping slightly from the icy cold water. Jumping a few times, the girl quickly adjusted as all it did was get her more wet since Seokjin was flicking water at her. Growling, Jieun bent low and scooped up some water in her hands and flung them at the man who was flicking her with water. "I won't let you get away with that~" She taunted as she continued to pelt the hedgehog with water and laughter. The wolf was sometimes competitive, but only in playful settings like in a friendly water fight. If someone didn't know better and saw the wolf in the water fight, they might think that she was a playful vixen instead of a lone wolf people usually think she is.
Her mind quickly focused on her current task at hand, splashing Seokjin to make sure he was soaked while trying to stay dry. In the end, both of them were simply soaked and soon the adrenaline faded, leaving them both tired from laughing and playing around in the river. Seeing the hedgehog flop down onto the riverbank like a starfish, she laughed and hopped onto the grass, shaking most of the water from her body before plopping down beside him, as she worked on wringing the water out of her clothes and hair. When she deemed it damp enough to dry on its own, she lay down on her back, her hands cradling the back of her head.
Panting slightly, the girl finally let out a sigh of content. "That was so much fun." She said breathlessly, but she still laughed as she thought about the water fight. Unable to lay still, Jieun rolled onto her side at stared at the side profile of the man who was sprawled out beside her, his sandy blonde hair shining like a dim silvery gold halo from the small water droplets that reflected the moonlight.
The wolf, though having amazing vision, hadn't taken much notice to his hair. It was a dark blonde and always seemed to stand from what she remembered. Now that it was wet, gravity seemed to finally do its job, bringing it down a bit. Only a bit.
Blinking her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things, Jieun's hand wandered towards his hair, touching it gently before quickly withdrawing as she realized what she had just done.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just done that. It was rude of me. I'm sorry." She apologized as she sat up, crossing her legs as she nervously played with her hands as her tail tucked under her and her ears lay back, disappearing into her hair.
Jieun sank her sharp canines into her lip as she struggled to think of ways to rescue herself from the grave she dug for herself. "Uh, We should probably move on, it might help our clothes dry faster if we moved instead of just staying still, or maybe if you're tired, you could head back if you want, it is getting late…" She said quickly, ranting on as she only realized she seemed like she wanted him to leave.
Her brows furrowed as her head snapped up to look at Seokjin. "I didn't mea- Uh…" The wolf trailed off as her eyes caught onto his hair and she only flushed, her mind blanking for a second before going back on overdrive. "W-where do you want to go?" She asked softly, turning the decision back to him as the wolf didn't trust herself to speak anymore.

@song jieun Jin closed his eyes, so as to better imagine the blue Jieun was talking about. Spring skies with the sun shining brightly on everything, the way water reflected colour when you shone a light on it, the fascinating blue-green of pools and even hot springs, mist rising up from crystalline waters that seemed almost to glow blue by themselves. It took a while before his eyes fluttered open again, pulling him out of his reverie. "Me? I like... I like green. The kind of green you get in the middle of the summer, when the trees are bearing fruits and things... The green that grass looks under the sun, light and dark and kind of mesmerizing, even, when the wind blows through it."
He kept his gaze trained on the landscape before them, finding the green he was describing in the blades of grass on the other side of the river, in the trees whose leaves shone differently under the dim light of the moon.
"Jasmine tea has always been a thing, and that distinctive taste was actually what I thought the quintessence of tea was for a while when I was younger. My mom liked it, and I'd always steal a sip from her cup when she wasn't looking." Seokjin smiled, chuckling softly as he thought of the past. "So, yeah, I guess I prefer tea. I always liked the idea of coffee, something strong and dark that'll wake you up, a classy drink that adults and aristocrats enjoy. The bitter black coffee that really means you're a man." He looked briefly at Jieun, just for a moment, before continuing, this time with a joking air brimming with a quiet sort of humour. "But, of course, the actual thing was a terrible shock! Imagine my disappointment when the reality of coffee completely missed my expectations, my idealized views. Devastated, I tell you."
Jin watched as Jieun took off her shoes like she was about to get into the water, rolling the cuffs of her pants up so that they wouldn't get wet. What...
The cool sensation of what must have been some of the river water greeted the exposed skin on his face, making him scrunch his eyes up as he hadn't had time to turn away from the 'assault.' A smile was playing on his lips and quickly turned into a grin as he leaned closer to the river to flick some water back at his companion. "Take that!" he announced playfully, and they soon engaged in a little water fight right on the riverbank. Seokjin made to strip his shoes and socks off so that he could wade in the river in his shorts, feeling grass at his toes before he stepped into the approximately-knee-deep water. He dipped his fingers into the rushing current, pulling them out to flick water at Jieun's face.
This was what relaxation was, not sitting in front of a laptop in the middle of the night; spending time with a new friend, enjoying the miracle of nature... That was what was really important in trying to cool down (literally and figuratively), and he was thoroughly enjoying himself.
Their laughter echoed up into the night, breaking the near-silence with shouts of surprise and little squeals, dotted all the way through with exclamations of mirth and just childish fun. Fun.
After all was done and their energy had basically been drained, Seokjin laid back on the grass, his arms and legs spread as though he were making a snow angel. Both his and Jieun's hair and clothes were soaked after their time playing with water, but he honestly found that he didn't actually mind. He peered up at the stars still twinkling bright and eternal up in the night sky, seeing in the corner of his eye how Jieun was twisting the water out of her long hair. His was probably messed up, too, but a quick ruffle would probably be all it needed.
Probably.
He wanted to laugh out loud, think about the universe, play around some more when next they had any time, just enjoy a night out together under the vast stretch of dark sky above.
So he left space for her to lie right beside him, if she wanted.

(I think I might have gone a little too far... whoops. /smacked. >~<)

@seokjin Soon, the flowers began to fade into the night as they left the gardens behind them, the air clearing from the sweet scent of flowers. It didn’t seem like they were going anywhere in particular, but simply strolling through the empty campus grounds. Leaving the paved paths, the two wandered onto the grass and off the path.
A few steps in, the wolf heard the sound of moving water, soft and soothing, and she gently made her way towards the sound. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness away from the street lit paths, she spotted a river in the distance, running through the forestry. The water shone like silver, a constantly moving and living soft metal. The soft crashing of water against rocks numbed the girl’s mind as she watched the water’s movements, picturing the water dancing in the moonlight. Jieun sighed softly in delight as the river continued its never ending dance.
When Seokjin spoke, Jieun’s soft ears swiveled slightly to pick up his words, though it didn’t seem like he was talking to her specifically, but she nodded in agreement.
He had turned to her and she had stared back, her head tilting slightly as she questioned his thoughts. “Yes?” She asked softly as she watched him carefully.
Seokjin had suggested they to get to know each other better, perhaps playing a game. The wolf nodded as she sat down on the grass beside him and ran her fingers through the soft grass as she listened to his question. “My favourite colour… Well I like all shades, so black, white, and greys, but if you don’t consider shades as colours, then my favourite colour’s blue.” She shrugged and lay back on her back to face the stars, even though parts of the sky were covered by the trees.
“What about you?” She asked politely turning her head to glance at Seokjin instead of the sky. For Jieun, the sky was and will always be there, but the company of others pass and though she was quite a lone wolf, not being alone was nice.
When she received an answer, the girl nodded and smiled slightly. “My turn to ask a question…” She huffed softly as she thought about her question. “Um… Do you prefer coffee or tea?” She asked as her eyes watched him carefully, but curiously. "If you like coffee, how do you like it? And if you like tea, what kind of tea?" Jieun added quickly after a brief moment of thought, her mind racing like it was on caffeine, trying to make the girl crave the stimulate at such a late hour.
When her question was answered, the girl sat back up and removed her shoes and rolled up her sweats as she shifted herself closer to the edge of the river. Looking back at Seokjin, the girl's eyes glint playfully at him as she reached a hand into the water and lightly flicked some water at him. "Gotcha…" She said, laughing softly as some water had fallen on her face, surprising her a bit but the cool freshwater was refreshing.

@song jieun The two of them strolled away from the gardens, leaving the scent of flowers lingering behind them as they leisurely made their way somewhere else. Where to? Seokjin didn't know; they were simply going where their feet were taking them. They passed trees and the occasional sign, walking along pavement and then on soft grass that tickled at their ankles.
Before long, Jin heard a sound like running water; he looked up, somewhat intrigued, and wasn't surprised to see a river running through a section of trees and grass a fair bit away from the main body of campus. The river was beautiful in the nighttime, glistening in a way that reflected moonlight and made the entire body of water seem to shine. The water falling over rocks and flowing downstream continuously created an illusion of eternity, of constant movement and never-endingness, and it made Seokjin inexplicably happy. The trees cast shadows over it, and so did the two adventurers, throwing flecks of shade over the river.
This was what landscape, what nature was really meant to be.
"Wow.." Jin breathed, mostly to himself but still clearly audible to anyone standing around. "I should come here more often..."
He turned to look at Jieun, her deep eyes seeming to draw him in. "I, uh..." He coughed awkwardly, casting his gaze aside for a few moments to compose himself. What was wrong with him?
"Maybe we should, you know, actually get to know each other. Play a game, maybe, like... like truth or truth. You know, a question game."
He looked back at the surface of the water in front of them, seating himself on the grass to be more comfortable. "I can go first, if you want. Um, here: What's your favourite colour?"

(Try to further the plot a little next time~! It gives me a lot more to work with and a more interesting plot altogether. You can throw good surprises my way any day, don't be shy ^^♡)

@jiho Sojin wasn't expecting someone to talk to hear. She heard the water splash a little and footsteps, but she tbhoigh it wpul be another passerbyer. She popped open an eye, sitting up quick and putting back on her tank thts just stuck to her body in water and sweat. Gross.

"Oh, hi" she said, looking up at the figure who was starring at er,". Blonde hair. Nice cute face. he was blunt with his request. "Um..." She thought it over, considering he would be a , but then she saw he seeme very serious, maybe even frustrated. 'Maybe he just needs some insperation..' Sojin thought about it positivly and looked up at him.

"Sure, why not" she gave a calm smile and stood up. "What do you need me to do?"
jiho (fattydae) 8 years ago
@sojin .
Jiho had nearly given up in the lengthy minutes that passed him in search for his disappeared muse. He scowled, mostly to himself, as he chewed on the of his brush. The thing would likely break soon with the way he continued to gnaw on it to relieve stress, but it didn't seem to be as if he had any better alternative. Perhaps he ought to begin investing in gum - or a chew toy.

Looking down at the half completed drawing, the artist frowned, scratching lightly at the corner of the painting and smearing the lines a tad. He scowled again. It displeased him. Incomplete. Tracing back his memory, it would have been nice to be able to recall the image he'd mentally just captured, but a wall stopped him. His mood had already long been ruined, more so than it had been that morning, but an irritable buzz in the back of his head told him he would continue his torn mood until the woman was refound. it - how was he to find the jogger in such a large area?

Then it hit him; rather, she passed him.

Oh. His back straightened as his jaw came a little unhinged, his searching eyes taking in the path of the jogger. Jiho wasn't a bad runner myself, it wouldn't have at all been a feat to catch up, but to what cost would it be? Would she willingly model for him or consider him just a creep - he was most certainly not. Lips pursed together, Jiho watched as the woman dove into the cool springs and out, waiting until then to make a choice. He would talk to her.

Hopping to his feet, his drawing pad falling over from his lap to the pad of grass he'd seated at, Jiho made path to the other side of the water mass, pulling to a stop just a step away from the female, only now able to gather the smaller details of her appearance. He crossed his arms. "You," he'd get in mind a list of complaints on how the girl had troubled him, but rough pushed aside such words. Past experience told him that they wouldn't help. "Can I draw you?" Blunt, perhaps, was the only better way he could go about for permission.
sojin (midnightlover88) 8 years ago
@jiho () it's alright, just make sure your back get better, mm? :3

Sojin kept it up, and 20 feet in seconds turned to 3 feet, and then she touched the ground, slowing her pace down as she ran past the mark, going back into a jog. She turned around, keeping her jog up as her cool down, going back again to where she had started running to the river, feeling like she wanted to be there a little longer due to there was water and she could lay in it after her workout. So She jogged back around, passing Jinho without knowing, and then stopping at the start of where she entered the lake and went down again to the path. She did this same thing of back and forth one more time before stopping in front of the lake, where the rocks had parted and the ground and turned to mud leading into the clear creek water.

Sojin took some breaths to calm her breathing, even though it was better thanks to the cool down jog and she took off her shoes, not noticing the other on the opposite side of the lake. She didn't like water, but she had worked enough she wanted just a couple seconds. She was so hot and sweaty, it was unbearable. She took off her tank, revealing a orange sports bra and walked into the water, letting her hair down and sighing, going under for a minute to get the cold water all over her, before standing up and flipping her hair back. She sighed in relif, and then quickly finding it too cold she hoped out of the water, and laid down on the grass, the run shining on her skin with water droplets over it.

@sojin .

Jiho really hadn't much brought much in mind when he had decided to come out to the rivers. It wasn't crowded, thank the lords, but he had gathered quite the attention from the few passing, the limited number curiously lifting a brow as they passed him. He may or may not have hissed irritably at wandering eyes. In their defense, it wasn't much at all usual for a cheetah hybrid to sit so placcidly by the river bank, a sketch pad in arms; and even less likely that anyone would bother think of lugging around with them a full painter's kit. Woo Jiho, admittedly, wasn't at all too normal to begin with.

He didn't pay them much mind, chewing on the of his brush, already much battered from the days prior - this, unfortunately, was possibly why his brushes never lasted too long. There was so much more scattered through his mind, a great majority of thoughts starting and ending with a need of muse. He could had just as well began a landscape painting of the rivers, but really, where was the fun in that?

Pushing up his sunglasses to rest on his head, using it to push up his falling bangs out of his eyes, Jiho lazily splashed his half bitten paintbrush against the white sheet. A wide brush for the blues and greens, and something smaller, more delicate for the smaller flowers peppering the rounding boarders around.

He frowned, returning the brush to his lips. He hated it. Boring. To many other eyes, Jiho's paintings were a work to behold, but behind the thin lines and splashes of colors, there rest the artist's emotions; for the feline painter, his drawing reflected his boredom. Lips mushed together to a line, he pressed his brush again into the canvas, drawing haggard lines of discontent into the art. Trash.

The paper had been torn out of pad, slightly wrinkled and set aside when a movement caught his eyes. Oh. His eyes caught the lengthy row of legs, the flowing locks and the lines leading to and from her music player. Then he drew. His brush skid over the paper, putting down in colors what he had seen. Absorbed into his paint and paper, Jiho hadn't noticed the jogged move across the length of the area, frowning upon glancing up to the girl no longer being where he'd last seen. "Damn it," he swore, gripping the thin hold of his brush. He hadn't been able to complete the piece his memory never lasting enough to complete it without the subject. A distressed hiss parting pressed lips, Jiho scanned the area of the waterside, watching for the girl he'd just seen pass by.

(sorry this took so long en e//// ended up not going to the hospital but catching a horrible case of lazy otl)

@jiho () no dude, seriously it's amazing! ;3; one of the most detailed i have in a while. Please excuse my not so high one, but i will make it good :3

Sojin woke up at 6, her alarm ringing gently to harp sounds that made her feel in a much better mood waking up that hearing some blaring machine like a fire alarm from elementary school that drove you nuts as you were strong and forced yourself not to cover your ears. Sojin was tired, and she let the alarm play a little longer, before forcing herself to sit up, letting the covers slip and her to hiss from the cold nipping at her bare shoulders and arms. She reached over to her dresser, turning it off and looking over at her roommate.

'oh yeah, she's with her boyfriend' Sojin chuckled and shook her head. She forced the covers off, revealing her short pajama shorts and tank, making her shiver as she walked across the cold wood floor to her dresser to get her running stuff. She checked the weather on her phone. It was actually going to be nice out. She dressed accordingly and then wrapped herself in a blanket, done with touchering herself and crawled back into bed, looking over her phone to make sure she knew her schedule and check updates for her phone.

After another 20 minutes, Sojin warmed up by stretching and then getting out her IPod, She did some high knees running in place, and then opened the door, jogging down the hall and out the door. It was a warm nice 60 degress and she kept her pace steady until she went into a sprint, desiding to go form a jog into a long sprint, then a short jog, long sprint, over and over in her patern. After 20 minutes of this, Sojin's ending spot was the river offish of campus. She sprinted all the way there, running across it to a long in a full sprint. She pumped her arms and legs feircly, putting engouraging words in her head so she could make it to the end.

"come on sojin, come on!' she thought, over and over
jiho (fattydae) 8 years ago
@sojin Another day, another canvas - or, at least, he was sure that's how the saying went.

As becoming of him, Jiho had woken to the early hours of the day, the sun bleeding into his room from the shades left open the other night and flailing awkwardly to shield his eyes from the blast night. As adoring of the daytime he was, sometimes he wished there was a way to cut the sun off until he was good and ready to face it. Falling clumsily onto the floor, hitting his head on the way down, Jiho had gone through his morning chores - making his bed, brushing his teeth, taking a shower, and putting on clothes considered semi-decent for wear - with a loud complaint hanging on his lips. He had no classes that day and it simply wasn't fair that his bodily clock decided to wake him at such hours of day - never mind the fact that the sun was already high in the sky.

It was with that same complaint puckering his bottom lip to a pull that the senior head out of his dorm room, shouldering a large bag containing his painting materials and hanging over his eyes dark shades to protect his eyes from the sun. Some might have thought it odd, the art major deciding much too often to pull out his painting kit to wander out into the campus to draw - after all, it wasn't at all convenient to lay hunched over on the ground with all sorts of bugs getting into your canvas and paints - but Jiho thought otherwise. Painting was soothing. And what better to make positive your spoiled mood than to go out to draw?

There wasn't much at all in his mind as the blonde male picked a spot by the river, dropping - cautiously, so his brushes wouldn't damage - his bag onto the grassy plains and stretching his arms higher up into the air. He really ought to stop bringing everything around on these outings. Dropping down onto the ground, he pulled out his artist's pad, setting it gingerly on his lap as he crossed his legs.

Everything was set for his trip sailing through an inspirational outing; now all he needed was his ticket there. His muse for the day.

( sorry this is so late + not so great ;; i have no excuses otl )
