Erin almost sagged with relief as she finally found the only cafe in the city that had her favorite drink on the menu. "One S'mores Frappuccino for takeout please, extra whipped cream." She said to the guy at the counter with a rather sweet smile. The guy gave her an equally sweet smile and asked her if she wanted anything else. "Oh, I could also use a Blueberry Cheescake. And yes, that would be all." She replied to the guy, her smile still plastered on her thin face. This better be worth it, she said to herself. Erin tapped her foot as he guy printed out the receipt and told her to wait at the end of the counter. She grabbed both her change and the receipt as she glided to the opposite side of the counter, almost jumping with joy. She watched the crew as they crafted her favorite drink, and although she had memorized it step by step, it still felt like a new experience every time she sees it. Her heart almost leaped out of her chest as one of the crew came nearer and gave her the paper bag. She smiled brightly at him and muttered a thank you. She took the bag and skipped out of the front door, beaming with delight as she held her favorite drink in her hand. She closed her eyes and took the first sip. She groaned as she swallowed once, twice, thrice. "Oh God," she said to herself as she leaned at the wall outside, "This tastes like home." It took surprising amounts of control to keep her from melting into a puddle in the middle of a walkway. "I'm starting to like this place even better. It might be not that bad." With teary eyes and a cold hand, she started walking to her new place, her drink already half-empty in her hands.

@kim mingyu ᵐ "Just name the date and the time and I'll make my schedule work around it. I can't promise jazz hands, but I can try... maybe." Bongyoung watched Mingyu's face as when he had touched him. He was...confused to say the least,by the male's expression and he wasn't sure if he had made a mistake in taking his hand like that. Slowly, he pulled it away and put it around his cup once more, not wanting to make Mingyu feel uncomfortable. "They don't care about the work you do until they need you.. after that, they'll care a lot." Bongyoung fiddled with his own fingers around his mug and smiled lightly when Mingyu told him he'd have to bring out his big guns. "Yahh," he chided softly. "You shouldn't say that you 'can't wait for this fight.' For that to be true, you'd be saying you can't wait to die. Was this date really that bad?"

@park bongyoung ᵐ "Good to know that I managed to charm my way into your heart, proves how much of a professional i am." He laughed along, almost instantaneously hiding his fingers in his lap before realising that he needed his hands to in fact, drink his hot chocolate. "I'm pretty talented in the jazz hands section, pretty much a pro at it so you've got some competition mister." Mingyu noticed that there was barely any of his drink left, he wasn't even full yet and time had past by way too fast. He grabbed ahold of the cup and downed whatever was left before placing the cup back down on the table. As he felt the other's hand resting on top of his own, he blinked for a few seconds trying to process the situation he was in. "Thanks, coming from you it means a lot to me...not many people care about the work I do and to hear this just makes me happy." Mingyu smiled softly before rolling his eyes playfully. "I can't wait for this fight then, you'll have to bring out your big guns."

@kim mingyu ᵐ "Well, it looks like you've already found the way to my heart: humor and a lifetime supply of Prozac." He laughed when the male waved his fingers in front of himself and actually had to cover the lower half of his face to hold in the loud laugh that wanted to escape out of him. "If you have as much pizzazz in your dancing as you do with your finger waves, I might be in trouble-- I might not get out of that session alive." He quieted down and listed as Mingyu started to speak, the conversation turning serious again. He nodded along to the male's words, understanding why he did what he did, even though he was risking his life to do it. He shook his head when Mingyu said it must sound weird and before he could stop himself, his hand reached over and rested on top of the male's. "It doesn't sound weird. It's... honorable. it's respectable." He lightly squeezed the male's hand. "I have a lot of respect for you and what you do, Mingyu... but I swear to God, if you die on me, we're gonna fight." He cracked a soft smile, wanting to at least make Mingyu laugh or smile despite the seriousness of their conversation.

@park bongyoung ᵐ "Aren't you just glad you have such a hot person like me as your significant other." Mingyu pretended to flip his hair, almost instantly regretting it as he mentally cursed to himself at how stupid he must have looked. "Now I'm starting to get worried, maybe I'll make those your birthday present." A quiet chuckle escaped Mingyu's lips as he then tapped his feet across the ground lightly. "I think the private session sounds nice because one, nobody except you will be able to witness me die of embarrassment and two, you get some one on one time with me of course." Mingyu frantically waved his fingers in front of himself as the other continued to speak. "Ah you make a good point, I wouldn't want you there because you might get hurt!" Mingyu swirled the hot chocolate around in his cup, staying silent for a few minutes before finally answering. "I've seen people get hurt, some have lost their lives after nearly losing my own...I realised that I want to do whatever's in my power to save people, that must sound really weird right about now.."

@kim mingyu ᵐ "Oh, yes, what was I think? You clearly are that significant other." Bongyoung laughed softly and lightly wrinkled his nose at the male. "Guess I better get some anxiety medicine now-- probably should buy up some stock as well since I'll probably be buying all of it." He took a sip from his coffee and smiled when the male said that he had two left feet. "Well, you can just come on a non-filming day. Or... maybe we can arrange a private session for you. That way if you trip over your feet and embarrass yourself, you're only embarrassing yourself in front of me. And hey, if you can humiliate yourself in front of your significant other, who can you humiliate yourself in front of?" Unconscious of his movements, Bongyoung found himself leaning in as Mingyu talked about one of the more memorable jobs for him. His eyes widened when Mingyu spoke about going undercover and almost dying. "I... don't think it would've been any better if I was there-- and I kind of wish you weren't there either?? Though, I guess you got a best friend out of it, but still.." Bongyoung looked down at his coffee and then looked up at Mingyu, feeling slightly smaller after the story. "Why... Why do you do that? Like.. if you know you could die, why.. do you do what you do?"

@park bongyoung ᵐ "When you put it like that then yeah, most of my family is pretty brave." Mingyu chuckled, taking yet another sip from his coffee. "She gave birth to someone like me so she's been pretty strong from the start, I'm really grateful to have someone like her. Oh it sounds like you'll be worried about me a lot then since clearly I'm that significant other." Mingyu flashed a cheeky smirk towards Bongyoung before focusing his attention on what the latter was saying. "I don't think I'd be that great at dancing, I've got like two left feet so things won't end up great for me." Mingyu stared down into his cup for a rather long time in thought. "Well...I had to go undercover and join these people planning a heist, we had robbed a bank but there were many hostages so I had to take out each member secretly expect the leader managed to shoot me. I nearly died but one of the hostages had knocked him out, and we became best friends after that. Trust me it sounds better if you were there."

@kim mingyu ᵐ "Ahh, so there's a history of bravery in your family then, hm?" He smiled lightly and took another sip from his coffee. "Your mom must be a really strong worman-- to have her husband be a police officer and now her son. I'm pretty sure I would sit at home and be a nervous wreck the whole my my significant other was gone." His cheeks were slightly flushed from his admission. He picked up another piece of the cookie and popped it in his mouth to give himself a moment to think. "Being a choreographer is cool-- you know, not as cool as a police officer, but still." He smiled lightly. "I teach all skill levels: from little kids to guys and girls that are older than I am. You should definitely come though; I think you would have a lot of fun." He pushed his cookie around on his plate. "You said you get a rush when you arrest someone; what has been the most.. thrilling, I guess, bust that you've had?"

@park bongyoung ᵐ "Yup I'm a police officer, it's pretty hard to believe so I don't really tell people about it that often." Mingyu scratched his cheek, feeling quite bashful about what he had just admitted. "I'm actually quite young to be in the police force and it's only my 2nd year currently...it's not that great but the rush you get once you arrest someone is honestly the best." He mused before widening his eyes slightly hearing the other mention his job. "a choreographer? you know what...that sounds really cool-- I wouldn't mind showing up to one of your dance classes." Mingyu took another bite from the cookie, the crumbs off his fingers. "Well my father was in the police force and when I saw him, it just made me want to become a police officer like him."

@kim mingyu ᵐ "You're a police officer?" Bongyoung's eyebrows raised in surprise. Honestly, he was shocked. It also started to make sense why Mingyu would keep some element of mystery about him-- it probably wouldn't be easy in this day and age to admit to being in law enforcement as many had varying views and feelings towards officers. But more than shocked, he was impressed and he would be lying if for a minute his mind didn't drift to Mingyu in his uniform. "I-- wow, that's impressive," he said, his voice a bit softer now. His respect level went up almost immediately for Mingyu, basically breaking his scale. "Me? Ah, well I am a choreographer--I teach dance classes at one of the studios in town." He brought his coffee cup up to his lips and blew lightly against the hot liquid to cool it down, asking "What made you want to be a police officer," before taking a sip.

@park bongyoung ᵐ "please, me liking chocolate is only one sixteenth of what makes me so you're going to have to figure out a lot more than just that." Mingyu beamed brightly at the sight of the chocolate cookie as it inched closer towards him, quickly he picked it up and bit a huge chunk out of it. He sighed in content as he let the sweet taste coat his tastebuds. "Well it may not seem like it but I'm actually a police officer, I managed to get a few breaks these past few weeks so that's been great. what about you?" Mingyu inquired with a slight tilt of his head as he took yet another sip of his drink.

@kim mingyu ᵐ "You really like chocolate? Alright, that one is definitely going in the mental notes. It adds just a tiny piece to the Mingyu puzzle." He smiled softly and took the plate with the shortbread cookie, pushing the chocolate one closer to the other male. He cracked off a small piece of the cookie and dipped it into his coffee, allowing it to soak up some of the milky liquid before taking a bite of it. "Well... hm.. let's start off easy then: what do you do for a living?" He dropped the rest of the piece into his cup, leaving it for a moment, before using his spoon to lift it out and popped that piece in his mouth as well.

@park bongyoung ᵐ Mingyu then focused his attention on Bongyoung as he scurried over with the cups, finding it rather cute. He clasped his hand over his own mouth attempting to suppress his laughter and stop it from escaping before regaining his composure as he cleared his throat. "why thank you kind sir-- well you ordered them so I know it'll be good and I'll have you know that I really like chocolate if I didn't already make it too obvious with the hot chocolate." Mingyu reached over to grab a straw from the small basket on the table and placed it inside his cup before dipping his head down to take a big sip. He gulped down whatever he could up before glancing over at Bongyoung from beneath his eyelashes. "ask m any question and the great mingyu shall answer!"

@kim mingyu ᵐ Bongyoung looked over at the barista as she called his name and then the reality hit him; he was only a man with two arms, and there were two cups and two plates to carry. Rather than risk a balancing game and more than likely drop everything, he took the cups first and brought them over to the table. He slid the tallest cup over to Mingyu. "Your hot chocolate. And I'll be right back." He quickly scurried back to the counter and thanked the barista again as he picked up the two plates and carried them back to their little table. He sat down and put the cookies in the middle. "I uh, didn't know which one you'd like, so I just kinda picked. I hope at least one of them is good," he said, a sheepish smile playing on his lips as he ruffled his own hair.

@park bongyoung ᵐ Mingyu nodded as he heard the other speak, he couldn't help but smile to himself as he heard 'next time.' Out of all the people he had been matched with, Bongyoung seemed like the only proper one he could get along with and in his books, that was a huge achievement. As the other left to go and place their order, Mingyu glanced over at his phone. He wished that time would slow down because this date would come to an end sooner or later and with all of his heart he wished he could stay longer with the older.

@kim mingyu ᵐ Bongyoung let out a soft laugh at the male's outburst. "Don't worry, Mingyu; I know you could pay. But I'm going to pay so you have a reason to want to hang out with me again so there will be a next time." He felt a tad sheepish at admitting that to the male; he wasn't just blowing smoke. He really was holding out that the small effort would lead to there being a next time between them. He wandered over to the counter and ordered a small coffee for himself and a medium hot chocolate for Mingyu. He also ordered a shortbread cookie and a double chocolate one, unsure which his date would prefer, and then paid for everything. Leaning against the metal bar by the counter, he looked over at Mingyu and smiled, noticing the constant tapping of his foot.

@park bongyoung ᵐ Mingyu buried his face in his hands before looking back up at the older male, pursing his lips together slightly. As he watched the other stand up, Mingyu rose to his feet exclaiming rather loudly but luckily there was barely anyone to hear his outburst. "you know i'll pay and--" he then extended his arm out to hook his pinky with the other before mumbling out the words 'pinky swear' under his breath. "It's a deal and next time I'll be sure to pay and there's no way you can say no, got it?" And with that, he plopped himself back onto the seat and waited patiently, unconsciously tapping his foot against the floor

@kim mingyu ᵐ Bongyoung couldn't help but smile. It was incredibly cute how one moment Mingyu went from being this mysterious, handsome made with a dominant personality, to being embarrassed by his drink choice. The male truly was an enigma already. Bongyoung nodded and lightly tapped Mingyu's hand as he stood up. "One hot chocolate coming up-- and in exchange, when I come back I want to at least get one little piece of information about you. Deal?" He held out his pinky, not really sure why his immediate reaction was to have the male pinky swear to tell him something about himself, but tried not to place too much emphasis on how it would make him appear to the other male.

@park bongyoung ᵐ "Hmmm after thinking about that thought for approximately 0.03837 seconds, I've come to agree with you." Mingyu fought back a smile as he pressed his lips together into a straight line but internally he knew that wouldn't help his situation one bit. "At this rate, I can guarantee that your outcome will be one I'm sure you'll like" He glanced down at the mini menu cards that were splayed across the table before skimming through the various options. "You look all mature ordering coffee..I'll just get a..hot chocolate.." Mingyu scratched the base of his nape out of pure embarrassment, he felt like an absolute kid at his choice of drink

@kim mingyu ᵐ "Ahhh, so long as they have your eyes and smile, I think I'll be content." Wow, did he really just say that? He internally cringed at himself; why in the world was he so greasy? He cleared his throat and focused his attention back on the male, rather than on his self-degrading thoughts. "I guess I'll have to wait until the end for your final rating." He flashed a smile at the male, and then looked down at the little mini-menu cards the cafe left on the table. Ah, drinks-- that would probably be a good idea. "Did you want something to drink?" he asked, bringing his gaze back to Mingyu. "I was going to get a coffee. Do you want anything?"

@park bongyoung ᵐ "Your safety is confirmed just for now, who knows what'll happen in the future-- you'll just have to wait and see. Who wouldn't want a tall child, I'm sure they'll have your good looks." Mingyu was quite shocked at what he had just done but other had seemed to have taken rather well, maybe.. just maybe his strong approach seemed to make a good first appearance. "Maybe you were, maybe you weren't-- we'll have to continue this date of ours for me to make my final decision." he chuckled as he rested his chin atop the palms of both of his hands.

"Ahhh, so my life has been spared-- at least temporarily-- so that we can procreate? Who knows-- with how trends are, our child might be taller than both of us." Bongyoung watched as the male took his hand and brought it up to his lips. He let out a laugh, or at least he wanted it to be a laugh; it sounded more like a cross between a cough and choking on his own saliva. He pulled his hand back when the male had raised his head and rested it with the other in front of him. "I'm glad to see you're not too disappointed-- was I at least half way worth the extra 10-ish minutes you had to wait?"

"Hmm well I expected you to be shorter but I don't mind, seems like our child will be just as tall as us." Mingyu mused, easing back into his seat as he watched the other. Mingyu had to admit, Bongyoung looked no different from the picture he had sent before which sent a wave of relief throughout his body, even better, he wasn't some old man that joined for no apparent reason. Mingyu gently grasped the other's hand before bringing it up to his lips, pressing a kiss upon it, an evident smirk forming on his feature. "Nice to meet you too, Bongyoung."

@kim mingyu ᵐ "You have to guess? Do I look that different from the picture I sent you?" Bongyoung asked, teasing the male. He took a seat in the chair across from Mingyu. The male was just as attractive, if not more so, as his picture suggested, and his tone and smirk conveyed the same amount of sass and smugness that his messages had. He stretched out his arm halfway across the table, hand relaxed and waiting for the other to shake it. "It is nice to meet you in person, Mingyu."

@park bongyoung ᵐ Mingyu could still feel a chill down his back here minute or so, the heaters were doing it's job but today was different. Mingyu jerked back slightly in his spot, not expecting the sudden message from his so called 'huband.' He read through it carefully, maybe one or two times before typing out a message...then deleting it before looking up at the tall male, eyes widened in slight surprise. Mingyu placed his phone onto the table, leaning back into his chair as he flashed a smug smirk towards presumably the older's way. "Potentially, it's taken by my next victim and i'm guessing that's you huh?"

Bongyoung pocketed his phone so he could focus on getting to the cafe in a decent amount of time. When he got there, he was about 6 minutes late. Not too bad, but he would've preferred to be on time. Before walking inside, he took a breath to steady himself and hoped that he wasn't too red from the cold; the last thing he wanted was to look like a tomato. He walked into the cafe and tried to subtly look around to spot Mingyu. He found him sitting at a table in the back and made his way over. He cleared his throat lightly to get the male to look up from his phone before saying, "Hey, is this seat taken?"
