@☫ bae joohyun The exuberant sass that comes from Joohyun can only pull a hearty chuckle from Taecyeon, one that seemed to be resting in his chest for a while that was only in that moment finally released, like a bird that was singing for freedom for months but only then it was suddenly let out of its cage. He finally speaks, his tone playful with a hint of sarcasm burning at the edge of his words, "My my Joohyun, it looks like that tongue of yours has only gotten sharper just as you have gotten older."

The words she mumbles under her breath were heard, but Taecyeon was unsure what to say about her mumbling as she did not exactly give any context to her words , although as soon as her eyes roll clear smack in the back of her head, he smacked his tongue against the roof of his mouth and made a disapproving sound "You're really making me have some regrets about defending your behind your back in school back then right now I would defend you so passionately the teachers thought I would be a stellar lawyer, but everyone knew that was not my plan. I'm the reason you got out of some "

The playful threat about the photos of the car had Taecyeon almost bawling, and the effect of the hanging over of his collar, the messiness of his hair, made him look all the more deranged for a moment as a hand outstretched up to move in a crossing motion to mark out the dull sky as though the letters he spoke were floating there, his face also looking upwards "Wow, I can just imagine the headlines now... 'Unfinished burrito at the back of the police chief's car!!" He turned to her and showed her a bit of a playfully dubious expression, one of his eyebrows quirking to add an effect, "Scandalous!"

He pulled himself away and realized that his behavior was slowly going up on the scale of the wow factor, and suddenly he could hear his father's voice ringing in his ear "don't show your feelings on the outside." and it caused an unpleasant shiver to travel down his spine. Was there something in his eggs this morning?? he brought his-- /extra/ down but kept his dry sarcasm intact, "Looking for another police chief- kicked out right after the other one just died a few years ago? That would be such a shame wouldn't it? I don't think the people of this city would like having another stranger in the position, it already took me a long time to warm up to the people of this city--"

Taecyeon finally stopped himself, turned himself around and began to walk along the pavement with her, inwardly noticing how she shivered and moved closer to his body though- he kept his head forward and his mouth shut, thinking his string of sarcastic comments might have been enough for her at the moment so he wouldn't say anything about it and... he found her actions to be- endearing? Somehow? Seeing how small she was compared to him was something that amused him seeing how she could probably put up a good fight.

But-- as soon as she started talking once again he turned his gaze back on her and slightly widened his eyes, trying his very best not to laugh at the "puty tat" comment but he can't help but quickly, and in a short breath mock her before he stops her word trail in its tracks, "Woah woah there hold your horses little Missy! In all honesty I wish it was that easy. I'm not your typical police chief. I'm younger than most police chiefs so that gives me the ability and will to go out and make sure these ers are doing their jobs right, especially because some of these cops that are working for me are dirty scumbags, and by dirty scumbags I mean they might be working with one of those gangs... I have my suspicions but I never accuse anyone without evidence because well, that's how the law works... we're in an era where crime is at a very high rate-- I mean it was lowered a lot after I got this position but... it isn't completely clean and... it's my job to make sure everything is alright... that innocent people don't get hurt in waves like they did back then..."

As soon as Taecyeon began to realize that he was beginning to ramble, they were already at the door of the café and walking into the door. He greeted the waitress with an almost crooked smile and lets a soft "yes" escape from him in response to the question. He wanted to say "What does it look like?" Like he usually did when it was just him but he didn't feel like giving waitress a hard time today as he felt some sort of sympathy for her.

He made his way to slipped into the seat across from her and as they sat, he was suddenly reminded of the gaze that he was given earlier when he mentioned her fashion sense, "I mean... you could easily say 'oh wow, it looks like all of the police chief's I've heard of are complete sarcastic s- including you'... That of which..." he turned to the waitress and asked for a simple cup of coffee before his attention settled on Joohyun once again, "... I wouldn't disagree with you."

The stigma of journalist's and their clothes has her eyes trained on him, dull, unforgiving of that little comment. She would remember that. Embarrassment crawls up , rearing its ugly head in the way her eyes roll, in the way her arms cross and how her knees gently knock together in attempts to move the given frustrations out of her. She was tagging his car to memory, taking notes of what was kept inside to make tabs on him, to be able to follow him easily. The state of the inner workings of the car was always an indicator to who the owner was. Especially if they tried to switch vehicles, lay on the down-low, most people don't think to change up the decorations of their car. Most had sentimental values to the items that may hang from the rear view mirror or bobbles set on the dashboard.

"Eligible bachelor," She quips soft under her breath, eligible bachelor her . Beautiful body. She snorts at his egotistical behavior, manicured nails coming to flick the black tresses over her shoulder, her eyes rolling so far back in her head that they could have been on an all expense spa day, what with how long she was drawing it out. How melodramatic she was being. How extra. But she felt .. Something good, and it was a something that terrified her to her core. Not one that induced shaking and trembling in her very boots, but one that was more sentimental, held a lot closer than that of pure, unadulterated fear. One that could very well ruin her.

Say no, just turn away. Joohyun, don't do this - "You're paying," Her sensible side was screaming at her - how could she just say yes so easily!? It would be different if it was acquiesced, but no! It was genuine, it was coupled with a smile and a snort. "Keep talking about my fashion sense, watch what happens. The city will be lookin' for a new police chief; don't test me, I have pictures of your car." She jokingly threatens at him - but she had more than just his car. His path to work, transferred to the drive that was backed up into the large camera, his home, copies of his external, public records, along with more .. Close guarded ones. She hadn't looked at those ones yet. Usually, they were the first she sent after, but in this sense..

Joohyun didn't want to. Perhaps it was the loyalty to the boy she knew from ages ago, perhaps because this was all too close to home.

She can see herself hooking her arm with his and leading him down the pavement, but her imagination is farfetched. In real time, her arms are tugged across her chest, holding herself and huddling almost too close to him to steal the warmth that radiates from his body. How could one be like this with the wind whipping around them!? Chilling zephyrs sweeping away the lies that dare to fall from her lips, sealing the tiers shut with whipped caresses, warning her of the gossamer web that would be spread if she got too close to him.

But isn't that the goal, her mind whispers to her. It was, but it was one she didn't want to meet. Despite it being almost her life for his - but she didn't think it would ever make it that far. How could it? They wouldn't threaten her ... Would they? Boots click soft on the pavement in uneven steps, taking time to sway through the traffic of people that swam around them, peering up against the sun just to take him in.

Why did she have to be caught up in this lie?

clenches as she gulps, taking in the saliva that was pooling in . Gone was the boy that sat with her and gushed about Pokemon cards like she was a good friend, now was the man that smirked and smiled and exuded strength. Strength that ripples from exposed forearms to hidden muscles kept under the lock and key of his shirt. Eligible bachelor..

That shouldn't be sticking in her head.

Her fingers card through her hair, nails snagging on the roots and giving her a sudden disheveled appearance. "So, and no, this wont go into my column, what do you mean by crack heads? Like .. Legitimate crack heads? I thought police chief's just sat behind a desk and went through cases, dealing them out. Wouldn't your cops be the crack heads then? And you their metaphorical pimp and dealer? Because you're giving them what they need - some of them need that adrenaline rush. From a drug bust to getting a poor widdle putty tat out of a tree." Her lips purse and her eyes widen at the cat comment, lashes batting and a comical aura befalling her.

What the was that, Joohyun? Her inner monologue berated her. No idea, was her response.

The door to the diner jingles the bell above, greeted by children running around and attempting to hide under the skirts of their mother - or was it their aunt? Older sister? Who knew. She shooed them away and offered a smile to the two at the door, "Just two?" She's already grabbing menu's, ready to lead Joohyun and Taecyeon to a table. She merely nods,

"This way," She glances warily to the woman, and then to the police chief, before following her. It wasn't that she was afraid of the kind woman, no. It was the one on one intimacy that would be established across a table in the far corner of a diner. She slides into her seat easily, ordering a simple sweet tea, and promptly hides her face behind the laminated plastic that held the pictures that made her stomach roar.

@☫ bae joohyun When he noticed that the female began to edge away from him when he called out to her, he was very unsurprised. Hell-- if the police chief were to call out to him he'd start walking away too, and try to look unsuspicious as possible, even if he was just waiting at a bus stop. "Well well well, if it isn't Bae Joohyun." Taecyeon mused in an almost playful tone as he shifted his weight to one heel once she turned around and repeated his name back to him in sweet syllables. Meanwhile he was showing behavior that was practically like one of those western cowboys, "I wouldn't have expected to see you up and random like this-- it's been years, I could barely recognized you; though... I'm sure you can't believe how I look now, I was a ing weasel before." he let out a dry chuckle and trailed his eyes along her figure to take in what was in front of him, long enough to take in what she looked like, for longer than he probably should have, but not too long to where it looked like he was staring rudely. How almost every thing about her was different. How her hair grew much longer and that it framed her face and that it moved along with the harsh winds of the street. Her face- How her eyes never lost the flame that burned with utter defiance; but the lids that framed them were much sharper and passionate than before. Especially because of the onyx black pigment that seemed to frame and intensify them. The cheeks that were stained pink by the bite of the cold, he noticed how they lost the chubbiness of youth and were now higher and more defined. The plump rosy lips that bared to him a forced smile. The sharpness of her chin. That her body was much more womanly and curvy than it was before. But her height- well, she didn't grow that much but that was besides the point of looking at her. He thought she kind of looked like a doll, but she was also so small.

"Baby doll." Was the first thing that came to his head, but up there was no way in hell that he'd say that aloud to her in that moment, he might get slapped or punched if she was fierce enough, the back of his mind was where that was gonna stay yes sireebob.

But- His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a strong cold breeze traveling along his back, giving him goosebumps; and by the words that came from Joohyun, "Well, if you were in my position in that stuffy office all day having to deal with some of the crack heads in this city, this might feel invigorating to you just as it does to me." Taecyeon responded bluntly, noticing that she was pushing her camera to the side. Did she know that he had already seen what she was doing? Was it an act of panic? Did she think she had found something? He decided he was going to be straightforward with her, "If you're looking for something important, I assure you, you're definitely looking in the wrong place, you look like you're a journalist, they sure do like wearing brown and turtle necks. I can spot one from afar- anyways, there's nothing really here, unless you want to make an article about how cracked and old the architecture on this god ing forsaken building is." He turned around to look in the direction where the parking lot was, his eyes narrowing so he could stare into the distance, "You probably won't find anything there either, if you're one of those journalists that believe with every ounce of their being that I'm a criminal-- and think the proof is in my car- I mean- unless you want to know what type of foods we eat on the rush or how much we pay for our Netflix every month. You're in the wrong place..." he turned his nonimplementing gaze back on her and showed her a bit of a killer smug smirk that dragged up from the side of his lips. Far more genuine then the smile she gave him.

Wanting to laugh at the shirt statement, he adjusted his collar in response not to really fix his shirt, but to add some dramatics to his next statement, he was far from the arrogant type, it was more so to give bull excuses as to why he didn't feel like buttoning his shirt up, "You're talking to one of the most eligible bachelors in Seoul, there are tons of women that would love to have a look at this here /beautiful/ body and-- you're blessed to see my wonderful collarbones, but I digress. Now... I think you're the one who's really freezing... how about we grab some coffee at the café down the street... maybe you can get some real answers from me. That is- if you ask the right questions and perhaps--" He says watching Joohyun shift her tiny self over to the side of the sidewalk, unphased by her behavior, (he actually thought it was kinda cute) he continued his words "We can catch up... I'm basically on break right now. It's better to get there now because soon it will be filled with the hipsters of Seoul. And neither of us will even get to stand in there. I mean, look at what you're wearing, you'd blend right in with em if there are too many of them in there!"

@☫park jimin Wanted criminals brought to justice. That was one motive Jackson lived, breathed, and pursued every waking moment of his life since becoming a part of the police force. Sure, he could make a complete of himself ninety percent of the time, but beneath that foolish exterior, his heart was lined with morals as hard as stone.

A tip came in that morning. Warhead Assassin: Park Jimin. A mysterious fellow who had been lying in the shadows since his first appearance about five years ago. Jackson would have still been in high-school then. Despicable. Even the Warheads stooped low enough to recruit teenagers into their criminal organization. Even making them kill other men. Well, now that would come to an end.

Going undercover was something Jackson rarely did, since he had an appearance that made him stand out. Sometimes it was a curse to look so good. Sitting casually on a public bench in the bustling city streets, he kept his black hat low to cover his blonde hair and dashing good looks. Scanning the crowd for his target as casually as he could, he leaned back and stretched his arms along the back of the bench. It had been four hours since he arrived here and there had been no sign of the man in question. The tip said that the assassin was going to show up around 17:00. It was going on 21:00 and still no sight of him. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he held his face in his hands. Was it a prank?

@☫park jimin Appreciating the praise, he hummed with delight, looking cocky for the slightest moment before letting it fade from his expression, "Truthfully, whenever I see your file, I decide to slide it right back under the pile that's resolved but you're kind of a troublemaker, so it slides back into the unresolved file on a daily basis." he said teasingly, ruffling the younger's hair, the corners of his eyes crinkling up just the slightest. Sighing, he murmured, "Hopefully no one is on your tail- or anyone's. I've been making sure of it lately but sometimes some of them slip by and it's my job to partner up with the person that got assigned to it so I can distract him. I think that sums up my workload."

"All you can think about is food, huh?" he mused, but laughed after, "I'm the same though so I understand the feeling nonetheless. If it turns out well, we'll for sure get food." Seokjin declared more confidently, nodding.

His gaze flickered towards the bartender, his elbow propped up onto the counter, his chin rested on top of his hand, letting out a quiet hum as he thought about his order. Snapping his fingers, he ordered one of the strongest drinks they had; maybe because he was stupid but he rarely did get to have a nice drink, who wouldn't take the chance? Jin couldn't find the motivation to join the conversation but he did had small inputs that didn't last that long- better than nothing after all.

Feeling the nudge, he rubbed his arm, following where he was nodding. Seokjin tried to hide his cringe but it showed anyways, under his breath, he murmured, "Are you serious?" jutting out his bottom lip, he spoke slyly, "I think having a piss drunk fight would be fun beforehand," his response was cheeky, grinning shamelessly at the end. Joking around, he laughed a little, "I'm sort of envious, I have the looks but there's no one on my lap, sadly."

Jin thought about how they would go about this, his bottom lip tentatively, his tongue remaining protruding out of the corner of his mouth, deep in thought. His leg bouncing up and down slightly, swiveled around in his chair, back pressed against the counter. Once their drinks came, Jin couldn't help but down the small but somehow strong drink carelessly, savoring the burn he felt at the back of his throat. Wincing slightly, he swallowed, shaking his head for a moment as his senses returned.

@◬kim seokjin Jimin shook his head lightly and sighed. "I don't know what we would do without you, Hyung. We probably wouldn't be able to pull this off.." He patted Jin's back, feeling grateful for his Hyung's existence. "Is it mostly the newer guys that are causing trouble, though? I haven't had anyone on my tail lately.. right? I haven't seen anyone.." Jimin thought back on his missions but didn't recall a policeman ever being on his at all.

Letting out another snort at that, Jimin shook his head. "Of course not! ...We mainly just go out to eat or eat ramen.." He smiled a bit. "Honestly, though.. we're doing pretty good right now so we've been going out to eat a lot recently." Jimin's eyes lit up at the approval for food. "Yesss~ Food is my only motivation for finishing jobs up quickly~" He smiled dreamily as he thought of the food.

Jimin smiled as the bartender walked up to them, asking if they wanted a drink. The younger had been here many times and always hung out with the bartender, making them more like friendly acquaintances rather than the bartender just being someone who served Jimin drinks. They chatted for a while, just so Jimin could make himself less suspicious. He asked for a water, telling the bartender he wasn't feeling up to drinking at the moment.

As the bartender left to serve other customers, he scanned the area again and noticed a quite rowdy group before nudging Jin, nodding in their direction. The target, his group of friends, and a bunch of girls were sitting in a booth - all being quite tipsy as they sloppily poured each other some more drinks. Jimin could never understand why anyone would get so faced like that in public. It's so embarrassing. At the sight of one of the girls sitting on the target's lap, Jimin cringe and almost puked. One - their target wasn't very attractive. Two - their target was a little on the older side, old being close to 50. To see someone in their 50's trying to go after a girl in her 20's is disgusting in Jimin's opinion.

Nothing could save her from the winds that were pressing against her, ice caressing her cheeks and staining them red. The tip of her nose so cold, wanting to just bury her face in the turtleneck that frames her face so warm and lovely. Her shoulders pull up, hands balling in her coat pockets and nails biting into the skin of her palm. The street seemed dead now, people moving blindly past her, not looking up, without a care in the world and never noticing the girl who had more kills under her belt than they had freckles on their faces. One never knew who was a murderer just by merely walking in the street - it was one of her most comforting theories. The only problem was the one that wasn't following the general theory of ignorance. She could ignore the 'hey' that carries on the wind and thrums in her ears.

She could ignore the 'what' that fuels the blood pounding in her ears. Weaving through people, using the small stature of her body to attempt to hide in the crowd in the streets of Seoul - but she couldn't ignore the name that falls from his lips. The syllables of her birth piercing her ears like broken glass, reality shattering and crumbling around her, that facade of the unaware. Her step falters, the heel of her boots skidding on the grey pavement, interrupting the flow of traffic that causes disgruntled looks shot at her, curses mumbled under their breath about the inconvenience of some girl just stopping in her tracks. Her shoulder hunches forward as someone knocks by her, the hair that was pressed so clean against her temples, previously tucked behind her ear, now wild at the sides. Falling over her shoulders and giving her the look of picturesque chaos.

It was him. Why did it have to be him? It could have been any other Ok in the entirety of South Korea. Could've even been the north for all she cared. How many people could share the same name!? The world pauses in her mind's eye, the people moving around her a blur until they were nothing more than the colors that mixed into the lights that bounce visions into her eyes. Her eyes, slightly shaking, a grotesque habit she'd developed from consistent trauma that runs deep, now flaring with even the slightest thought of stress for her personal well being. She could kill. She could slit throats with ease. Dress like a dominatrix and leave a hotel room with brains decorating the heel of stiletto boots, but she could never walk on someone like this. Someone that screamed demand from just one look, someone that looked well groomed and with a clear mind. The police chief..

Why did it have to be him?

it seems like forever for her, her head turning slightly to peer at him from over her shoulder. It had been less than a minute that her name had left his lips, invoking deep, childhood memories that set her off kilter. "You," She breathes, tone husky and breathy, but not in the sensual manner. Joohyun turns slowly to face him, taking in his appearance. The once soft jaw now strong, defined, harsh. Shirt ed and a rushing look flashing in his eyes. Curiosity blooms in hers. What could have-- Oh.

He had seen her...

clenches with each gulp she takes, wishing that she could easily lie to him. No, you're mistaken. That's not me. You have me confused with someone else. I'm told I look like many people. Anything. Anything. Excuses flying through her head and hanging on the tip of her tongue like their very lives depended on it - but like everything else, they fell. "Ok Taecyeon." Her lips quirk in a forced smile, the muscles no where near meeting her eyes. That once great smile lacking two front teeth was long gone, replaced with a woman that thought it was too many muscles to smile truthfully. A smile that would never reach the chilling hazel of her almond eyes, no matter how hard she wanted to believe that one day, it would. Things had already gone so deep. She couldn't afford anything to go even deeper.

"I'm getting cold just looking at you." Her fingers pull her jacket tighter around herself, attempting to stealthily hide the Nikon that had shifted to her side somewhere along the way. Cut it off here. Her thoughts scream at her, shaking her from the inside, but miscommunication happens somewhere along the nerves from her brain to her feet. A mind of their own, they had, stepping closer and a scoff falling from her. "Why are you out in the cold dressed like that? You're going to freeze. What? Go inside and put on a jacket. No one wants to see your chest." Liar.

Shut up, she reminded herself.

I can't, she answered.

Lord, she really was going crazy. Why did she say that!? Her nose twitches slightly, the bridge crinkling with distaste towards herself. Years of feeling nothing but malice and dry, sarcastic humor, and two words had her wanting to crumple to her feet and listen to stories of her lost childhood told from a different perspective.

Like he even remembered much of her. Probably remembered how she got in trouble with the teacher a lot - her favorite word was no, after all. But, being two different ages, it wasn't often that they saw each other. He was nice on the playground.

At least, she thought. Damn, she really did forget a lot of those brighter times. What would she even tell him if he inquired? Oh, I left school because my mom died and we got tossed into foster care. But what about you? Enjoy prom? She could see how easily that conversation would get shot down. Her gaze drops to her feet, leg scraping softly against the concrete, now very consciously moving to the inner side of the sidewalk so that people would stop bringing their attention to them. It was starting to make her go insane. She hated being the center of attention.

@☫ bae joohyun (I'm sorry if this is ty I'm not proofreading it oops and until I get in the groove my writing will be less poetic)

"But you don't understand!"

Says the woman standing in front of Taecyeon's desk with her popped and teary eyes, she's been at it for about five minutes now, weeping to Taecyeon about her problem as though he could actually doing something about her problem. And all he could do was tell her exactly what he could or-- should it be-- couldn't do, "Look..." he said for almost the fifth time in a row, bowing his head downwards and growling out a deep sigh to physically exert some of his frustration towards her "I can't do much about the fact that your dog is missing... that isn't exactly a felony or anything that you come screaming to a chief about ma'am, with all do respect." Trying his very best to be calm and not tell this lady off like it is, which he wanted to do in the first place but when the nutcase walked into his office, but he saw the crazed and fiery look in her eye, and knew that he had to speak to her softly.

" you and your bull ! I'VE BEEN lOOkING FOR THIS DOG FOR A DECAMADE - A DECARADE- HNGSDNDJDNE"

And next thing anyone knew, was that she was on the floor, unconscious, her entire body trembling.

Hearing the soft thump, Taecyeon lifted his head and bemoaned out "The I deal with... On a daily ing basis!" And that was just enough for the intern that was innocently walking past to stop in his tracks to slowly open the large wooden door to peek in, "W-What happened?-"

"More like who let her in this building? Get someone to get her out of here, I'll be out to take a break in a few minutes-- wait what are you doing?"

The intern was walking over to the woman, and without a word, he took her by the wrists and began to drag her out. Taecyeon's first instinct was to warn the intern. But why should he? If that lady began to attack him it wouldn't be Taecyeon's fault. Instead, he pursed his lips and let a small and low toned "thank you" escape from them, letting one of his hands go up to rest on the lines across his forehead that he had from raising his dark brows. It was times like this that Taecyeon realized how much he hated his job sometimes.

Once she was finally gone and everything seemed to calm down, Taecyeon let out a low animalistic growl bubble up from the back of his throat and began to let a rough hand go back and forth across his forehead until the sunkissed skin of his somehow earned a gentle tint of pink to it. Leaning himself back into his office chair, Taecyeon turned his attention to the low hazy light that shined in from his window, dark brooding orbs tracing over the various bodies that were travelling along the crowded streets in what looked like colonies of ants going through their tunnels. But once he noticed that a body was not moving; he couldn't keep his eyes off of it, in fact, curiosity and suspicion began to flicker in his gaze "Why in front of here?" He thought bringing his hand to his collar to loosen the tie that felt as though it was restraining him; and to unbuckle a few of the buttons on the white blouse that lazily hung on his burly body. Without any forethought, he decided that he was going to go check it out. "Maybe I can get some actual excitement..." he mumbled under his breath as he stood up out of his chair, his hands going into the side pockets of his dress pants so he could hold them in there before he began strolling out of his office. Ignoring the curious and admiring eyes that gazed upon him. He was usually very well dressed and to see one thing out of place was shocking to the people he worked with. But today was one of those days where he didn't give a . He just had to let go sometimes.

"Cold air! " He howled bursting out of the doors of the building, completely ignoring the that it was in fact- cold outside, he began making his way towards the body that seemed to stand still across the street. He was lucky that the next stop light was red so he easily made his way across the street towards her. If she wasn't doing anything suspicious she wouldn't run away right? "Hey there!" Taecyeon called out to her "what are you-"

And that's when it hit him.

The girl that he knew such a long time ago, "the one that wore ripped overalls"
Was standing dead in front of him. Questions began immediately pouring into his mind. The first unexpectedly poured out and sounded almost stuttered and broken.

@◬ok taecyeon *Schlick*. The soft click of a camera sounds through the bustling street, deaf to even the most immediate of ears. Ears that were full of Bluetooth, earbuds, phone's, one's own thoughts that clouded their trek to work. The light shifts in the sky, clouds parting to let rays soak down onto the ground below, marking her area of interest with the perfect cast of shadows. Just because she was sent to scope out doesn't mean that she would pass up the photography chance. Bae Joohyun, twenty five years old, small and looking like the one that could barely unscrew the lid of the pickle jar. With nails that were manicured and painted with hard, black gel, red and gold sequins adorning the tips of her fingers like the only pieces of jewelry she needed. Another shudder of the camera, an almond eye lined with thin, felt controlled ink, fuller from the light mascara curled and clinging to lashes, opens, the gaze locking on the figure just across the way.

Ok Taecyeon, 28 years old, police chief and the current reason why she was out on her supposed day off. Did anyone ever get days off anymore? Some days - but that was only when no one particularly needed to disappear. They'd play Houdini, but this one .. This one had information that was needed. Information that had to be pried from lithe fingers - to be honest, she'd wished Seokjin would've gotten this. At least he was already on the force, he could have at least weaseled his way into it. Beautiful er, he was. Anyone but her, anyone ... Her body leans along the pole, bubble gum blown into a large, pink, translucent bubble. Carbon dioxide back into her lungs and the process repeated as her mind carries - drifts even, to the days ago. The frown etched on her face when she'd opened the manila folder, the tips of stiletto nails peeling back the picture to take a look at the man that peered up. She knew him.

She couldn't tell anyone that, but she knew him.

Perhaps he wouldn't recognize her. Wouldn't recognize the girl from his childhood, the one that wore ripped overalls, stitched with patches of jeans that had long ago shrunk from her and her sister's frames. Dirt caking the fabric, her shoes, her arms and elbows. And lord, the bowlcut she had when she was nine years old. Joohyun shudders at the sour memory, bringing herself from the world of the past as wind her sides. Coaxing her to move closer, to take the chance and step outside her boundaries. 'Just take the shot!' The shot of his car? Likely not. The Nikon hangs heavy around her neck, strap curling with the fabric of her turtle neck. The white fabric a stark contrast to the black that holds the heavy electronic. Her prized possession.

She shrugs her brown blazer on further, warming herself, shielding her body from the wind that starts to whip around her, moving up the flared legs of her jeans and creating goosebumps on her flesh, winding up her knees. Further, further, inducing shivers that have her lips aquiver. Strands of hair tuck behind her ear, nails pressing them into place, but to no avail. The golden metal that loops her ear is getting colder by the second, and she should have worn ear muffs. It was still early in the years, the Sun barely wanting to grace them with their presence. "Taecyeon." She muses, playing with his name, questions raising from the very syllables themselves. The need for small talk was strong, but he was surely in the headquarters .. Right? Not around here, on the street.

Her boots click on the concrete and her head tucks down, chin pressing to her chest and hands finding comfort in the toasty heat of her jacket. There was no way that /he/ could be the scrawny boy from her childhood. With giant ears that fit his too small head, that lanky body .. No way. Those thoughts were what kept her going, gave her that confidence and peace of mind to go through with this unfortunate series of events. "I need coffee,"

@robyn fenty Seokjin, after work, decided to tour the area, having down reconnaissance for his new target. He figured they hung out around this area, whenever they could. It's been weeks since he tailed her, almost getting caught a few times. He assumed she had very alarming senses, unless she was clearly into something which led to distractions. But who knew? Perhaps he was just assuming. It's not like he knew her, nor did he bother to. It was just a target.

Robyn Fenty.

Siren gang.

That was it. A couple of the Warheads member got wounded and he witnessed it at one point once he was tailing her. Agitation could be felt every time. His steps were quiet against the pavement, his own hand moving down to his holster and grasping onto his gun. Raising one arm, he cocked the barrel, his other hand now slipping down to the of the gun to support his aim. Tilting his head to the side, he closed one eye, his lips, as his index finger fell into the groove of the trigger, pressing down slowly, and shooting. The bang echoed around the area he was in loudly, his arms jolting at the sudden impact.

But he missed.

@☫park jimin "Of course," he started, "I always have to. Only two of my so-called partners have started to catch on so whenever something like that happens, I have to clean it up," shaking his head, he mumbled, "Whenever I have to track you guys down, I purposely miss when I'm shooting, trip, or sometimes inflict an injury on myself to at least buy you guys some time." Seokjin raised his hand and threaded his fingers through his already disheveled hair, "Kind of the spotlight of attention at our station, which I personally am proud of." the bitter laughter was heard from the older male, rolling his eyes as he finished. At first, it was pretty difficult for him when he first started, only being able to just sit there like it didn't faze him. Ah, what a pain.

Laughing, he nodded, appreciating the sentiment from the younger male. Humming, Jin spoke teasingly, "What do you guys do when I leave? Wait til' I'm back just to cook? God, you guys are something." tilting his head to the side, he murmured, "Yeah, sounds good. We should get this done fast then. Faster we are, faster we can eat."

His gaze was locked onto the brightly lit club, his mouth slightly agape for a moment as he his lips in thought. A drink also did sound good but this was a job. Jin followed Jimin inside the club, whistling at the long line that was in front of them. Luckily they had some sort of privilege. The loud music thumped loudly, his heart matching in beat of it. The various strobe lights creating such an appealing sight to his eyes. The smell and sight of drunk people were everywhere, he could basically smell the strong scent of alcohol drifting into his nose.

He felt the back of his throat go dry, following him to the bar, sitting right besides him. One elbow was propped up on the counter, resting his head on top of his hand, glancing everywhere he could see through his peripheral vision. Sometimes, he shifted about, changing positions to get a clearer view. Jin's eyes were slightly narrowed due to that, making him seem pretty unapproachable.

@◬kim seokjin The shorter male let out a warm smile at hearing Jin's laugh, his smile turning cheeky. "You know me so well, Hyung. Within my first hour, they'd probably all hate me for how lazy I am with boring work." He nods a bit, imagining the scene. "I mean I guess.. People just need to learn to mind their own business, though.." Jimin hummed, a sign to show he was listening. "Have they brought us up yet? At all? Where you had to actually divert their attention somewhere else?" Jimin was curious. It must be really annoying to hear others trash talk about your gang/family all day. Jimin knows he wouldn't be able to stand it and would probably start a fight.

"If it's a good one, I'll make sure to record it for you," the younger grinned cheekily once more, letting out a soft snort again. "Duh? That's why you're like the mom. Everyone else at cooking.." He sighed out, suddenly thinking about food. "Maybe we should go out to eat after.. Talking about food is making me hungry.."

Jimin looked up as they rounded the corner, the view of the brightly lit club with the long entrance line coming into view. The younger led the way towards the front doors, where many were freezing while waiting to get in. All he had to do was nod at the bouncer letting people in before he was granted access along with Jin, smirking at all the groans and complaints the long line let out at the fact that the two didn't need to even say anything before getting in. Jimin looked around before motioning for Jin to follow him to the bar, being casual as he sat and started scanning the area nonchalantly.

@☫park jimin Small laughter was heard from the older male, muffling it slightly as it grew quieter, his eyes now filled with the mischief he was known for, "Oh yeah, you'd threaten them almost immediately and challenge anyone who just- stares at you. I feel like you'd alarm them immediately. Before you kill anyone, you'd probably be kicked out." Seokjin rolled his eyes, shrugging, "If I killed him, what fun would that be? It's kind of hilarious because he's so dead set on revealing my status, I can't help but give him props for the dedication." kicking a random rock on the ground, he watched it skid away with a soft noise each time, "Well, sometimes working is a pain in the when my target could literally be one of you guys, so I have to distract them away from you guys," glancing up at the night sky, he hummed, "Your hyung's life."

"Yet..? If someone fights, it better be a good one," he grunted out before snickering lightly once he was nudged, dramatically shifting away before returning back to his original place, keeping pace with the younger. "Of course, I have to provide for you guys," he said amused before nodding frantically soon after. "No kidding." Jin breathed out, watching the mist ahead of him, "I'm getting tired of it."

"Messing with Lesley? Tsk. What a bad move. Guess we'll have to make it absolute hell then."

@◬kim seokjin Robyn had her eyes trained on a group of men as she began to turn the corner. She pulled a black masquerade mask over the top half of her face and pulled her Hood up. She pulled a gun out of her boot and cocked it.

She had a sick grin on her face and peeked secretively around the corner observing their every movement. She didn't have a reason to want to shoot these guys honestly but since they were on the Shady Side of Town she didn't really need a reason. They were most likely terrible people anyway.

She aimed her gun at the tallest male's head and excitedly placed her finger on the trigger.

{} Sorry it's short, they'll get longer.

@◬kim seokjin Jimin played with his breath in the cold, smiling to himself at the mist that appeared every time he exhaled. However, he let out a scoff at hearing his hyung's struggles. "Damn.. No wonder they sent you to work with them because if it was me, I'd probably have killed someone on the first day." Jimin rubbed at his cheeks as well, trying to create some type of warmth with his equally freezing hands. "I would've killed that subordinate.. Really, Hyung, I don't know how you do it."

The younger boy hummed softly in thought. "Nah.. No one has fought yet.. but 'yet' is the key word." Jimin snickered softly at the poke, but had to let out a smile at the teasing. "Of course I missed you, hyung. You're the only one who cooks such good food." He teased back, nudging the older. "I hope it gets just a little warmer.. It's way too cold still and I'm tired of it. My hands and face are totally freezing right now." He groaned out softly.

"Hm?" Jimin thought for a moment about the target before shrugging lightly. "I wasn't told much.. Just that him and his friends messed with Lesley and had a debt or something.. Apparently they kept putting off their debt and she was just sick of it so yeah.. That's why both of us were sent to kill this group. They all hang out regularly at night so it's easier to track them. There's 6 of them, but I'll point them out when we get there. They should all be sitting at their usual table in the club.." Jimin relayed all the info he knew about the target and his group of friends.

@☫park jimin Jin let out an exasperated sigh, the mist from the cold air escaping his mouth and evident in front of him. He shook his head, rolling his eyes soon after at his question. "They're getting on my ," the elder complained, rubbing his cold face, creating some warmth on his numb cheeks, "It's not boring, it's kind of entertaining but I have to be so damn aware constantly." he grumbled, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "There were various times I was tempted to throw up at how fake and innocent I had to act. It's-" he shivered slightly, cringing away, "It's something alright." Pursing his lips, he continued, "There's this subordinate that constantly tails my whenever he can and I have to resist the urge of knocking him out. Do you see my struggle?" he whined towards the end, scrunching his nose up soon after. Seokjin wasn't all that positive as to how he hasn't broken the rules and killed someone on the force out of annoyance. That thought now hit him and made him wonder.

The weather? Was it supposed to get warmer? He pondered on that thought, his lips tentatively, "I think it will get warmer sooner or later," he spoke unsure, proud of his statement, or thought it was decent enough. "Yeah? Everything has been good?" Jin repeated, amused, "No one's clawing at one another's throat or anything?" he felt himself grow warm at the how Jimin said they've missed him and couldn't help but let the brightest grin appear on his face. "You missed your hyung?" he teased, poking at the younger male's bicep gently, snickering soon after.

"Yeah, I guess I missed you guys too." he stuck his tongue out like a child, but he did miss them, but he tends to enjoy being vague after all. "Ah, do you have anything to fill me in on before we find the target?" he added quickly, realizing he didn't know much; though in the first place, was it worth knowing anything?

@◬kim seokjin Jimin nodded in agreement. "How's working at the police station? Boring?" He snickered softly just at the thought, not able to imagine himself working under cover like that. He had too much of a temper to cooperate with a bunch of idiotic, privileged policemen. He had always had a hard life and would surely blow his cover on the first day, probably for blowing up the moment one of them complained about problems that were so tiny to them but significant to someone like him - money being an example. He shook his head to get rid of those thoughts.

Jimin nodded once more in agreement. "Isn't it supposed to get warmer later in the week?" He pulled his hood up more and zipped up his bomber jacket to prevent the cold from touching his skin through his thin shirt. "Eh? Everything's been good.. Nothing too chaotic lately.. But we've missed you, that's for sure." The two continued walking down the street with Jimin leading the way to the club their target was at, their footsteps soft as they walked at a relaxed pace.

@☫park jimin Jin rubbed his hands together, blowing into the inside of them, before rubbing them once more. Soon after he lowered his head, rubbing the side of his cheek against his jacket, the numbing sensation remaining as he stopped, glancing around the dark area. Soon enough, he heard footsteps and almost leaped with joy. Though, it was still gonna be a walk, he figured that moving around would ease his stone-cold body soon enough and that thought was enough for him. Feeling the nudge, he greeted him with a lazy smile, his head tilt for a moment, "Hey, Jimin," he began, humming soon after as he followed the younger male, "It has been quite some time."

He walked with ease, making sure his foot steps weren't all that loud, his hands shoved back into his pockets, "It's cold," he murmured under his breath, glancing at Jimin, "How has- everything been?" he wondered aloud, blinking a few times. Waiting for the other's response, he hugged his jacket closer to him to provide warmth, which actually helped, causing him to smile happily for just a moment before letting it fade.

@◬kim seokjin Jimin had been wandering around the city, knowing he was supposed to look for Jin sometime later, but it was still quite early at the time. The young boy decided to hang around at some club to kill some time, meeting up an old friend from school there as they checked out the ladies - and sometimes men - that walked around, just catching up since they hadn't seen each other for a couple of months. Of course, Jimin asked his friend how his mom and brother were doing, as his friend is quite close and used to be his neighbor.

Once it reached around the time he was supposed to meet Jin, Jimin and his friend said their goodbyes before parting ways. The short boy stuffed his hands in his pockets, teeth chattering slightly at the cold air nipping his exposed skin. He didn't need to walk for long before he spotted Jin by the alley, his dimples showing as he let out a small smile. It felt like a while since he's seen his hyung. As he approached the older male, Jimin nudged his arm with his as a greeting. "Hey Hyung. Long time no see, huh?" He motioned for them to start walking, already knowing where their target should be by this time of the night as someone from their gang had informed him earlier in the day.

@☫park jimin He though the work he got from the gang was hard and insufferable but combining that with police work and trying not to blow your cover was just as hard. When was the last time he properly saw one of the members, or spoke to one of them? Two weeks ago maybe? All he knew was after work, he would head back to Warheads and disappear for the night to laze around perhaps but then head back to work early in the morning. Once he was notified for this job, he was surprised that he was going to be working with Jimin. He could say he was close to the younger male, he envied how skilled he was but if he kept that image of him being much more greater, it encouraged him to reach his goal.

It was late at night by the time he was let off work, mist escaping from his mouth due to the cold night. All he knew was he was supposed to look for Jimin. He wandered the streets, hands stuffed into his pockets, searching for the warmth he felt greedy for. Settling in one spot, he was engulfed by the darkness of the alley he stood by, his gaze flickering around. After he finds Jimin, they were supposed to tail after their target, and if the coast was clear, annihilate them right on the spot. Quick and easy, what they both were easy. Nothing special.
