sbs dorm common room .

the sbs dorm common room is where guys and girls can meet (without being invited to a dorm room, obviously), and subsequently where a lot of the dating attempts start (and end). it's a large, well-furnished, cozy-looking room that joins the boys and girls' dorms together, with a large fireplace in the center of the room that attracts attention.

if you would like to request a dorm room, please go to the requests area and fill out the appropriate form.

@hwang hyunjinᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Hearing Hyunjin's "threat" to carry her to her dorm, Yerim immediately assumed a kungfu style position like those she had seen in movies. "I'd like to see you try, Hyunjin! If you did actually carry me, I would karate chop you in an instant," she laughed, lightly giving a chop to the older male's shoulder. "Plus, I doubt the girls would want some dude walking along their hallways in the middle of the night. But maybe some would like some eye candy," Yerim joked. Smiling, she continued, "It's not for everyone, but I think it suits us PYJ trainees just fine."

Yerim couldn't help but feel the edges of turning upwards as she listened to the fellow trainee talk about himself in a good light. It was nice to see him still having some confidence in himself. "I agree, I think you're pretty cool without trying. Not everyone can pull that off."

She continued to listen to Hyunjin's words, some of which she related to. "You're right. There's no point in practising if there's no gain. But it's kinda hard to improve when you've already spent the whole day practising with your team. Even then, there's not enough breaks already, but yet we're here still practising," she chuckled. Stretching out her arms as she yawned, she continued, "Maybe we should take a break from all these late night practices once in a while. I think our bodies will be too tired to improve at this rate." She then sighed, remembering that even if they took a break now, they would still continue with practice the next day. "Sometimes, this place can feel a bit suffocating, don't you think? At those times, I wonder, what would it be like if I could escape this building, even if it's for a little while." Realising how silly she sounded, she added on, "But of course, we can't."

[] sorry this took so long!! been pretty busy ooc these two weeks ;-;

@choi yerimᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Then you won't see me stop practicing. I guess if you are practicing late, I will carry you to your dorms so you don't stay up late. Plus, I'm older than you, it'll be my responsibility to take care of you throughout this show. I appreciate you wanting to stay up late to practice, but it's not for everybody y'know?" Hyunjin just didn't want anybody to be like him and follow his ways, it was simply too much for a lot. And for him to influence somebody to stay up late like him, he felt bad because he's taking somebody's sleep time.

Listening to her comments, the male smiled, Teacher Hwang? It had a catchy tone to it, but being a teacher was so unfitted for Hyunjin. He didn't get a sense of pride when he taught somebody, he'll just merely be satisfied. He was very picky too, so it would be hard for him. "Some people say I have a reverse charm. They often say that I don't have to act cute or anything like that, my reactions or mistakes are my charms they say."

He heard the sorry, but he simply ignored it. He already said it was alright. Soon he couldn't see her face as her hair covered it, giving the male a little heartache. As much he didn't care about a lot of people's emotions when he saw people close to him become sad or regretful, it pained him. He heard her words and simply nodded when she kept going on about his braveness and being here, in general, made him better. "Thank you, but until I feel like I've gained the results I want, then I won't feel like I've improved. Countless nights of practicing can be pointless if I haven't improved."

@hwang hyunjinᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "well, if you're not stopping, then i won't either then," yerim broke into a laugh as she replied to hyunjin's sarcastic comment. "the day that i don't see you here will be the day when i stop practising till so late." hearing hyunjin's criticism about himself, yerim shook her head vigorously. "all the other girls here are so much more talented and more charming than me, all the fanboys are voting for them instead," she said with a bitter smile as her gaze drifted to the floor. "that's why i have to practise till so late, so that i've can have the talents needed to get the voters too! but you're different." yerim looked at hyunjin directly. "i think you're charming, and i'm sure the viewers will think so too." she let her words sink in for a while before quickly adding on as she giggled. "but you'd be more charming if you had enough rest, you know."

yerim nodded along as hyunjin spoke. "just be me..." she repeated after hyunjin to herself quietly, before taking a deep breath, to prepare herself for the future. "thanks hyunjin, i'll try my best to overcome it, not only for myself, but also so that your teachings don't go to waste, teacher hwang!" she said firmly, like an unofficial promise. "and i'm sure if you followed your own advice and be yourself, the viewers will be able to see your charms too."

when hyunjin's face slightly revealed that he was hurt, yerim once again regretted her decision to bring up the survival show and quickly uttered a "sorry" again. she didn't like seeing other people sad, and especially when it was her who caused it. she buried her face in her hair as she hung her head down, listening to hyunjin silently. hearing his positive way of handling his elimination was honestly so inspiring. "hyunjin, you're really brave, you know that?" she said solemnly. "i don't think i would have been able to handle it like how you have. i probably would have given up on being a trainee, much less go onto yet another survival show." she ran a hand through her hair, continuing. "i think if you have the courage to continue on from there, you're definitely better than before already. you're here for a second chance, yet i'm here just because i couldn't wait for my debut," yerim half-heartedly joked. "it got me thinking, maybe i should have practised way more before going on some survival show. there must be a reason why i haven't debuted and a survival wouldn't change much for me. but you've already shown you've got what it takes on the other survival show, so i'm sure you'll make it into the group now."

@choi yerimᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "You know that's not happening, there is no way I'm stopping practicing. It's in my blood to keep going on. I can only see one person - who isn't me, and the only other one in the room stopping." He raised his eyebrows and the comment became sarcastic, obviously pointing towards her to stop practicing so late. He listened to her next comment half-heartedly, "No way. If somebody as charming as you with talents, fanboys will obviously go nuts over you. They would vote for you in a heartbeat. Unlike me, I've seen someone with just talents and no charm has gone. It's rare to see them make it far. That's where I'm heading at the moment. I have to continue to develop to avoid that road."

Hyunjin nodded along what she said, agreeing with her firmly on what she said. The distractions, one mistake and you could potentially face the backlash. There were so many ways to get edited into a bad person on a show. Evil editing they say. Every person who was popular on a survival show at one point has been evil edited or attempted to be. "I understand, but that's when just being you comes in. Don't worry that the cameras are there. You will get used to it. Eventually, it will be normal to you. Just be you Yerim, I know you more than anyone else here, I believe you can overcome that."

He gave a slight grin after his statement, and he decided to change his gaze towards the fire for a few seconds, still listening to the female. Just as he turned his head around, she began to speak about the survival show, and him winning. Admitted, he was a bit hurt, and his expression could've shown it. But he had heard it millions of times. Through fans comments, emails, letters, from his parents, siblings, and friends. They all told him he could've made it, and should've. But that wasn't the point. He didn't have something the others have quite simply, so he had too found that out and utilize it to his advantage. "It's alright. I've heard it all before. I'm used to it. I tend not to focus on the fact I got eliminated." He paused there, taking a breather to relax, "I see it as... a way to tell me that I didn't have what the others had. They had something about them that attracted the audience more, ceo-nim more, and ultimately Korea in general. It may have hurt, but I know it was only because I had potential to be better than before."

@hwang hyunjinᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ yerim chuckled as hyunjin . "well, i guess one of us will have to stop practising till so late so that i can't get influenced any more by you by hanging out here!" she said cheekily to the older male, who felt like a same-age friend a lot of the time. "they say that you're wrong because it's true, you're so talented! if anyone is going to be eliminated first, it'll be me," she said only half jokingly, the latter portion a big concern that kept her up most of the nights, and pushed her to train more since she couldn't fall asleep anyway.

"it's hard to keep yourself in the zone when there's cameras everywhere, waiting for you to mess up so that the viewers have something good to watch," yerim sighed. "it's tiring having to be conscious of yourself whenever the cameras are rolling, because once you make a mistake you could get edited into something else. it makes it hard to focus on practice sometimes, which is why i always have these late night dance practices." it was nice to be able to get that off her chest, sometimes it was hard to tell who were your on your side and who weren't in a cut throat competition like the survival show, but having known hyunjin since their trainee days at pyj entertainment, he felt like someone that yerim could trust to talk to.

yerim listened to hyunjin's advice, which she believed came from his experience from his previous survival show. as hyunjin complimented her, she shook her head and laughed. "i hope the viewers think so too. but you're way better, hyunjin." quietly, so as to not seem to too aggressive, she confessed, "sometimes, i think you should've won the survival show last time. you deserved it. i don't get why you got eliminated." yerim knew he was talented and deserved a spot on the group, so seeing him get eliminated through the television was a shock, and she couldn't imagine how hyunjin must have felt at that moment. realising that it might have been a sensitive topic for hyunjin, yerim quickly apologised. "sorry for bringing that up, it just kinda slipped."

@choi yerimᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ He was right, it was the girl that he saw ever so often. It didn't matter if he was first or she was first in the practice room, they both knew they were the last ones to leave. Sometimes it would be competition to be the last to leave the practice room, but as time went on, they eventually left at the same time. It was too tiring to be the longer one to stay. Anyways, the girl that was younger than him was now here, seeming resting from practicing too. Since the practice rooms were usually gender-separated, just because the males liked dancing with males, and the females were the same too. It was weird the company SBS didn't care so much about genders being together on a show like this. It was weird.

He left his thoughts in his mind and spoke to the girl who was now coming to sit on the sofa. "Aish, I've influenced you too much, now you're becoming like me." He teased, laying back on the sofa more comfortably. "I am not prepared. I have to work harder. At this, I'll be eliminated on the first elimination based on skill. But I tell everybody that, they say I'm wrong." He nodded at the female to give her some advice. Even though he was reminded of being on a survival show in the past, he knew she meant no harm. "Well... You want to be able to survive the desperateness here. Everybody wants to debut. But if you keep yourself in your zone, it comes a long way. If you become too sympathetic to help everyone who may not be as good as you, then they can use you or you won't be as good since you spent more time on them, and not yourself. Be too aggressive and not be a team player and you will get hated and booted out real quick. Most of it is a mental thing, but I think you'll be fine. You have all the charms to be center for the girls. You are pretty, talented, and charismatic."

@hwang hyunjinᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ yerim dragged herself to the fireplace, her body fatigued from countless hours of dance practice. she had done the same choreography again and again, before repeating all over, but she still wasn't satisfied. it wasn't good enough. not good enough for her, not good enough for the survival show, and definitely not good enough for debut. she needed to prove herself to the ceo and the survival show would be the best way to do it. these days, in preparation for the survival show, her training hours had been longer than usual, which the ceo had advised against, since she would need to be in full energy for the show, but she shook her head and said she would be fine. deciding that her moves would only get worse if she did it while tired, she decided to cut herself some slack and warm her self up by the fireplace and away from the winter cold which she could feel even indoors.

walking towards the fireplace, a figure got up from one of the sofas with her entrance, who she immediately recognised as hyunjin, the only other trainee who would still be in the practice room late in the night, or since it was already 3 AM, early in the morning. "hey hyunjin! same as you, of course. practice!" she said, laughing. "i don't think there's a day where i don't see you here in the middle of the night." yerim plopped onto the sofa, near the fireplace. "so, are you prepared for the survival show? care to give me some tips since you've been in one already?" she chuckled.

@choi yerimᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ The trainee sat down on one of the couches, exhausted to the max. He looked at his watch. 3 A.M. He had never seen anybody up later than him at Pyj usually. Since he didn't have to go to school today, he could go back to practice. These long hours of practice had always gained attention from other trainees in the company he was at. Even the CEO of the company was aware of his long practice hours, and even warn him what could happen if he overworked himself. He listened, but never took it to heart. He needed to improve to prove himself to Pyj. He felt as if he couldn't prove himself since he was eliminated in the show. Years have passed since then, and he isn't sure if he would ever debut soon. All these thoughts clouded the young one mind. Even though he's still a teen, he wanted to debut sooner than later, and there was no way he was going to leave his company.

He got up and moved to a seat closer to the fireplace. Just where he wanted to rest for the while. Speaking of his company, he wasn't the only one who came to his company, another trainee around the same age as him, came as well. He knew her very well since they often practice together. Just as if she heard her name from his mind, she walked into the place and he stood up and quickly called her name. "Hey Yerim, what are you doing up this late?"
