@⧿Min Yoongi He laughed softly when the producer told him to get his ears checked, shrugging the comment off with a teasing smirk; despite, the other's cold exterior, he knew Yoongi appreciated the attention. Though most people saw a cold music producer who didn't seem to care for anything, Donghyuk knew better; Yoongi cared deeply for things he deemed worth caring about. He nodded, sighing softly when the other reassured him that his life as an intern wouldn't last forever, glad to hear it as he ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I know. Soon, they'll be a new batch of interns that I can push my paperwork onto." He joked, chuckling softly before shaking his head. "I'm just doing this internship for the experience. I'm actually hoping to do Doctors Without Borders after my internship is over... But I need a good recommendation and the doctor I'm shadowing can be a real... Jerk." Donghyuk struggled to find the appropriate term; he didn't want to curse but the head doctor was rude and condescending to everyone. He barely even noticed when the barista walked by with Young's drink, dropping it off as he frowned at the thought of the senior doctor, too distracted by his own thoughts before snapping out of it. He rolled his eyes at Young's weak defense, "You should really eat more vegetables. And take vitamins. We've had a lot of patients lately with the flu and given how you never ear, I wouldn't be surprised if I see you in the waiting room sometime soon." He jokingly scolded.

@⧿Kim Donghyuk 'Never one to follow the crowd' might be an understatement, and Yoongi smiled slightly at the thought; he tended go in the opposite direction instead. When Donghyuk mentioned Agust D, he clicked his tongue slightly in annoyance, shaking his head slowly. "Yeah, yeah. Maybe you need to get your ears checked." But despite his words, he was kind of glad to hear it. The more the name was out there, the more it meant the music was out there, although Yoongi personally believed the music should speak for itself. If people listen to music because of a name, are they truly appreciating it as the art that it is, or are they just creating new bandwagons? He leaned back in his seat as his friend described the most boring part of his job. Just imagining all the paperwork made him cringe visibly. He doubted he'd have the patience for all that. It was probably just because of his position, though. "I'm sure it'll get better," he assured him. "You won't be the shiny new intern forever." Interrupting them for a brief moment, the barista finally brought Yoongi's coffee over, and he took it with a small nod, noting the awkward timing as Donghyuk was nearly finished with his drink. He made a mental note of how slow this cafe was this time of day. Purposely putting off the answer to his friend's last question, he took a long, slow sip of his coffee, fully taking in the flavor and scent. How the other man could possibly tell if he was skinnier was beyond him; he'd always been skinny and they didn't exactly see each other often anyway. "...noodles are a proper meal," he mumbled into the edge of his cup, not even believing the line himself.

@⧿Min Yoongi Donghyuk nodded at the other's explanation, humming softly as he tilted his head curiously. "Huh, I just figured that what's most people gravitated towards. But then again you were never one to really follow the crowd." He shrugged, staring down at his near empty cup of coffee. "But still it must be cool to meet some really famous musicians. Actually, I think I overheard some of the nurses at the hospital talking about a certain Agust D... but I'm sure that I was just imagining things." He teasingly winked at the other male, leaning back in his seat to dodge any retaliation Yoongi might have. He sighed, lower lip jutting out a bit at the other's words. "Yeah, I don't remember reading anywhere that part of being a doctor would mean spending most nights trying to fill out a mountain of paperwork. I swear it's somehow multiplying itself when I'm not looking. I can never seem to make a dent in the pile." He looked over the other man for a second, studying him to make sure there weren't any signs of illness; god knows when he last went to the doctor's for an actual health check up. Other than the hint of dark circles under his eyes, he didn't seem too bad. Maybe a bit exhausted and he could probably use some real food and not takeout which he was sure Yoongi was living off while at the studio. "Of course I'm going to bother you! That's what friends are for! To bother you and to make sure you're not killing yourself by locking yourself in a dark studio for days." He winked jokingly at the other man. "Be honest, when was the last time you had a real proper meal? I swear you look skinnier every time I see you."

@⧿Kim Donghyuk "Everyone wants to work with idols, which is precisely why I don't." It might sound like the 'hipster' answer, but for Yoongi it was nothing of the sort. He just as a rule gravitated away from where he expected the biggest crowds to be. There were a handful of famous artists for whom he held a high degree of respect and would love to work with someday if he got the chance, but as for the majority, it was just too much noise and hassle to deal with all that came along with it. Besides, just being an idol didn't mean you had a lot of talent necessarily, and there were plenty of less famous artists who had loads more talent and training, as far as Yoongi saw it. On top of all that, negotiating the terms of a collaboration was much less...well, flexible when an idol was involved. It was all around a pain in the . It was still infinitely more up his alley than what his friend was doing, though, where nearly every aspect of his job involved dealing with strangers. "Everything is paperwork, that's the fine print they don't tell you about. Good to hear you're moving up in the world though." He rolled his eyes very obviously when Donghyuk said 'favorite friend', leaning back in his seat and crossing his arms. "Yeah, yeah. I guess that means you'll be bothering me more often now?" The irritated tone in his voice was a little exaggerated, in the way it always gets when he's doing it on purpose; it's a little habit he's only half aware of, but it's a dead giveaway for when he doesn't really mean it.
⧿Kim Donghyuk 6 years ago
@⧿Min Yoongi [no worries! take all the time you need and I'm glad you're feeling better! ooc life always comes first!]

He rolled his eyes at his friend's casual answer; he definitely had locked himself in his studio again. Part of him was tempted to scold him but realistically, he knew Yoongi would ignore him and continue to lock himself away. donghyuk made a note to himself to check up on the music producer more often so he knew at least that the other man was eating and somewhat taking care of himself. Running a hand through his hair, he looked up at the other's small smile; Yoongi was definitely waiting for a break in his long line of questions to answer them. It seems some things haven't changed. He nodded along as he answered them quickly, absorbing the information with an interested grin. "Really? I thought everyone wanted to work with idols nowadays? They're always everywhere, it's a great way to get your music out there." Nonetheless, he shrugged it off. Yoongi knew more about that business than he did, anyway. He laughed softly at the other's questions, shaking his head fondly. "I'm interning at the hospital nearby. Saving lives and all that jazz. Except it's actually a lot more paperwork than I thought." Donghyuk playfully pouted before breaking out into a small grin. "I moved here since it's close by to the hospital plus now I get to see my favorite friend!" He teased, eyes crinkled happily as he took another sip of his coffee.

@⧿Kim Donghyuk [I'm so sorry for disappearing, my health hasn't been the greatest but I'm alive now :')]

Yoongi just gave a small shrug at the question, thinking his friend probably knew the answer already. "You know me. I'm just more productive that way." Fewer stimuli, fewer distractions. It was more efficient to lock himself away when he was deep into a project, even if he was fully aware of how unhealthy it was. Maybe it was just a habit at this point, but it was how he'd functioned since high school, or maybe even longer ago than that; it wasn't so easy to change his ways even if he'd wanted to. As Donghyuk rattled off his questions, Yoongi just waited for him to finish, a small smile forming at his lips. His friend may have changed in the years since they'd parted - who wouldn't? - but this part at least was still the same as he remembered. When a long enough pause came in the questions, he said, "It's not so extravagant. I try not to meet idols if I can. They look like normal people. What are you doing these days? Why move to the armpit of the city?" He only half meant it; he did like living here, even if it was hard to get his peace and quiet sometimes. The location was convenient, at least.
⧿Kim Donghyuk 6 years ago
@⧿Min Yoongi He grinned as the other male noticed him, stopping by the counter to order something before making his way over to him; he stifled a small chuckle as the other male slung himself across the seat, shaking his head fondly. "I feel like I should be the one saying that. You're not still locking yourself up when you're producing are you?" He quirked an eyebrow, remembering that his friend had a habit of closing himself off when he became invested in something. It started in school but probably seeped into his work life as well. Donghyuk ran a hand through his hair, grinning at Yoongi, "So haven't seen you in years? Well, not face to face. Although, I do come across your music from time to time. How have you been? Tell me all about the fabulous, extravagant lifestyle of being a music producer! Do you get to meet idols? Are they really that good-looking?" He knew he was rambling but that always seemed to be the course of their friendship; Yoongi was pretty quiet and answered questions quickly and efficiently that it made him fill up most of their conversations with his random tangents and stories.

@⧿Kim Donghyuk Yoongi hadn't stopped to take a break in a while; he was working on some particularly stubborn lyrics, and his usual muses weren't being of much help. Normally when that happened, he was the type to focus in and not leave his studio until either someone dragged him out or he had a breakthrough. As such, he hadn't gotten a lot of rest lately, so he was secretly thankful for this excuse to get out for some fresh air. The caffeine would be welcome, too. Besides which, he hadn't seen Donghyuk in years, and he'd never admit it but he was really excited to see him and catch up, so when he walked in the door and was immediately greeted with a wave, he couldn't help but give a tired smile back. After a slight detour to the counter where he mumbled his order to the barista and handed him a few bills, he made his way over to his friend's booth and practically flopped into the seat across from him. "Hey. You're alive," he said simply.
⧿Kim Donghyuk 6 years ago
@⧿Min Yoongi Donghyuk sat nervously in the cafe booth, fiddling with his coffee cup out of excitement; he looked like an excited dog, looking up every time the cafe door opened, hoping it was who he was waiting for before slouching when it was another customer. He straightened out the folds of his sweater, glancing around as he took a sip. It had been years since he last saw his other friend; they had both gotten busy in their own lives to catch up. The last time they saw each other probably was when he graduated high school, wide eyed and naive to everything. But now, after finally moving into the city and out of the suburbs, he was finally able to secure a meeting with this childhood friend. He looked up when the bell over the door rang again, a grin breaking out as he threw his hand up in a excited wave. "Over here!"

@•Oh Sehun "Iced green latte it is, Sehun. I'll be right back." After picking up their drinks, Donghae made his way back to the table with ease. So far, Donghae liked Sehun. Being in this industry, he had met his fair share of arrogant and unkind people, especially models. But of course he had met some who were humble and kind, and Sehun seemed to be one of them. Of course, there was usually a play of deception, so only time would tell if it was a all a facade or reality. Donghae chuckled softly as he took off his suit jacket and hanged it behind him, "Well I'm flattered you've heard such good things about me." He took a light of his drink before continuing, "Honestly I just kind of...fell into it. I know it doesn't sound as exciting, but I started out as a mail person at the company. Once I was able to get the position of an actual intern, I climbed the ranks, and here I am." Donghae rubbed the back of his neck with a sheepish smile, "I'm honestly surprised I've come this far." He laughed. "Although I have to say, you're quite impressive Sehun. The first hybrid model who has managed to become very successful. How was that journey?" Donghae asked. He was acutely aware of the adverse reaction of someone people, including some in the company, that disregarded hybrid models but with Sehun rising as a star it seemed the tides were changing. Slowly, but surely.
•Oh Sehun 6 years ago
@⧿Lee Donghae [ I don't mind, whichever works best for you! ]

"Oh please, just call me Sehun. Mr. Oh makes it sound like I'm an old businessman, which I certainly am not but thank you. I'll take you up on your gracious offer, so my poison for today would be an iced green tea latter" Sehun smiled softly, placing his hand back on the table where it had been before. He was delighted that the man wasn't stiff or uptight like some of the other editors he had met who seemed that he was just a pretty face, albeit a hybrid one, and didn't have much in terms of personality. This made it easier for him to relax as he watched the man go order before coming back around to their table with said drinks after a couple of minutes. "I'm grateful that you agreed to meet me, I've heard a lot about you from fellow models and people alike about your skills and your strong passion to get what the public wants. If you don't mind me asking, what got you into this type of work?" Sehun questions, with his fingers lightly tracing the lid of his cup while he observed the man across from him.
⧿Lee Donghae 6 years ago
@•Oh Sehun { my replies are gonna be a little shorter now so hope you don't mind!

Seeing the young model up close, Donghae realized why such a fuss was created over the man. He seemee quite polite and charming, friendly, handsome, and just about everything a model should be on the surface. The editor knew his readership had a reason of demanding Oh Sehun to appear in his magazine: he was ridiculously photogenic. For Donghae, it was convenient and perfect. Of course his usually roster of models for the magazine were adaptable to the concepts they had created for the season, but Donghae had a feeling the model in front of him would bring something new to the table. Donghae's smile grew on his lips, retreating his hand and grasping the top of the seat in front of him. "You're too kind, Mr. Oh. Since you haven't gotten to order anything, let me buy you a drink this time. An apology to being late as well, and then it's done to business. So, tell me, what's your poison?"
•Oh Sehun 6 years ago
@⧿Lee Donghae If it weren't for his manager and his charms, Sehun didn't think he would have gotten the chance to meet Lee Donghae, a famous chief editor for a magazine that he followed a bit religiously. With a small smile and dressed in a warm sweater paired with some slacks, he had been dropped off by the man himself. Usually he would have just walked since the cafe that they had agreed upon for the meeting wasn't far from the mansion, but the elder had insisted because it was cold outside and that there could be those crazy fans who liked to wreck havoc on people's lives so he had reluctantly given in. Not being one to arrive late, his anxiety wouldn't allow for it, he had gotten to the cafe about 5 minutes before their scheduled time. He didn't have much planned for today, a small shoot in the evening so the meeting wouldn't cut into anything in case either one of them was busy. Sehun was able to find a good window seat that was vacated after a couple had left, so he took his time to really observe the quaint little cafe while he had waited. He would wait until the other man arrived to order anything, not seeming to be in a huge rush or to be seen as impolite for not waiting. As the time ticked on pass their agreed time, his eyebrows furrow a bit in worry when the man hadn't shown up which led to Sehun drumming his fingers on the table. Which was a nervous habit he couldn't quite seem to get rid of while he shifted a bit uneasily in his seat. About 15 minutes later, his phone pinged with the message notification so he glanced at it and raised an eyebrow before responding, now finally at ease that the infamous Lee would show up albeit late. Sehun only had to wait about a couple of more minutes to pass before a warm voice alerted him to the other's presence, a smile growing on his lips in response to the other's before gently shaking his head and taking his hand to shake it. "Ah Mr. Lee, it's really not that much to have angered me. Some people have a busy schedule as I'd think you do, so I don't hold it against you. I haven't ordered yet if you'd like to take a look at the menu and we can get something to drink while we go over what you'd like to go over?"

You shouldn't put yourself down just because he's been gone, maybe he's just been busy?

Why do you think you're not enough?
•Oh Sehun 6 years ago
@⟡Yutaro Goto *was sipping on a cup of coffee when my eyes fall on you, eyebrows furrowing when I see the tears before getting up to move closer to you, sliding into the opposite side of the booth with a tissue held out in my hand*

But are you alright? Do you want to talk about it? If not, that's okay too...you shouldn't be crying by yourself here

@•Oh Sehun Donghae was running late. He had been stuck at the office, trying to make sure a new spread in the upcoming months was running smoothing and properly. He had been so focused at the task at hand, his assistant had burst into his office and informed in a panicked voice he was late for his meeting with a new client, Oh Sehun. Donghae muttered under his breath and glanced at his wristwatch. 15 minutes late...Donghae pursed his lips and glanced back at his assistant, "Notify Mr. Oh that I'll be with him very shortly, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Where was it again?" Donghae just about ran to his car, thinking it was going to be a nightmare to even find parking near the cafe during the early afternoon rush. Besides being annoyingly late to the meeting, Donghae was genuinely excited to have been able to contract the the popular Oh Sehun. It had taken a few months for negotiations to go through, but the moment had finally arrived for the chief editor to meet the young model. Donghae oversaw all the publications of the magazine, having the final word on what gets published, but he trusts his department heads to create a story that accurately reflects the interests of the public and the magazine. Donghae didn't always meet with the clients, it would nearly be impossible, but seeing how Oh Sehun was about to grace 8-pages of their magazine it warranted a one-on-one meeting between them. Luck was on his side when Donghae pulled up to the cafe and found a parking space that didn't warrant too much a walk. As he entered the cafe, Donghae smooth out the lapels of his suit jacket and took off his sunglasses. First things first, coffee, he thought to himself. After ordering a small cup of a latte, he glanced around for a face he had only seen in other magazines. Spotting Oh Sehun at a window table, Donghae put on an easy smile as he approached the table. A hand stretched out for a handshake once close enough, "Mr. Oh, I'm so sorry for being late. Time had gotten away from me, unfortunately. I hope you'll excuse me just this once?"
◦Yoon Jeonghan 6 years ago
@⧾Kang Dongho Jeonghan almost had the urge to release a big sigh, but he swallowed it in his throat because although his boss wasn't watching, he felt like the other would either, decide to leave the Cafe, in which it'd be a big trouble because his co-worker's salty would definitely snitch and report to the boss, or the other would get even more nervous than he already was and would take more time to decide which coffee he wanted. So he patiently listened, gaze falling on the dirty sleeves and on the features of the other male. For someone with rather rugged features, the other was surprisingly the opposite of what Jeonghan thought he'd be. His voice was much more delicate and calm, and his eyes were much softer now that Jeonghan was looking at him directly.

"Well... We do have a lot of coffees that aren't too strong, they're usually mixed with syrup or milk." Jeonghan replied nonchalantly, trying to sound as friendly as possible but his facial expression had always tell otherwise. He took a step closer and his hand was reaching out for the menu in front of the other, "May I?", Jeonghan started flipping the menu around and looked for a certain section, straightening his back when he finally found it. "Caffe Mocha would be good, contains espressos with foam and milk, also chocolate syrup. You can have your coffee beans lightly roasted to reduce bitterness, but it is higher in caffeine-" Jeonghan pointed to the picture of a cup of Mocha on the menu with his pen as he paused his words, using the bit of coffee knowledge he learned from working at different cafes and restaurant, but he decided to not spend too much time telling other details as he might confuse the other even more. "So it's on the sweeter side, not overly though."

Stretching half a smile, Jeonghan quickly glanced back at the clock hanging on the wall behind the counter desk- He was twenty minutes away from the end of his shift, so Jeonghan was indeed getting a bit impatient, quietly tapping his pen against the notebook in his hand, oblivious of whatever reaction he was going to get from the customer.
⧿Kang Dongho 6 years ago
@◦Yoon Jeonghan After turning the sign on the front door of the flower shop to indicate he was out to lunch, Dongho buried his hands in his pockets to fend off the cold and made his way down the street to the nearby cafe. He wasn't a big coffee drinker, but the thought of getting something to stave off the winter chill seemed appealing now that he was no longer in the warmth of the temperature controlled greenhouse. They had to have something decent he could snack on as well without him having to go too far from his job. Making his way into the cafe, he almost took one of the customers trying to leave out with the door and bowed fervently in apology before making his way to one of the empty tables.

Yet, after looking over the menu for some time, he realized he had absolutely no idea what the difference was in any of the types of coffee. So many types of beans were listed, as well as different brew styles. What happened to just a regular cup of coffee? How did he get his hands on that? Glancing up, the unassuming man searched helplessly for one of the waiters, but it seemed that the cafe had grown so busy in the lunch rush that no one had noticed he hadn't been served. Then again, it wasn't as if he wasn't used to being overlooked. "Um... Excuse me?" He hesitantly attempted to call out to one of them, but his soft voice was likely drowned out in the other customer's chatter. Clearing his throat, he tried again and raised his hand to give a little wave, only to smile bashfully when one of the staff finally made their way over.

"Sorry to bother. I uh... actually am not sure what I want yet." He confessed with a nervous chuckle now that he realized he was most definitely wasting this guy's time. Nervously fiddling with the menu, it might have been evident from his rolled up, dirt smudged sleeves that he worked with his hands, but he was always careful to make sure to wash them so nothing clung to his hands themselves. With it being the winter season as well, he admitted he wasn't always eager to abandon the cocoon of his blankets early to shave his quickly-growing stubble every morning, so a light shading of shadow was across his jaw. He /looked/ like someone who needed a coffee to pick them up, but he was clueless. "There's so many types of coffee, I don't know what the difference is. I don't want anything too strong. Or... do you have something that you'd suggest for people who are new to drinking coffee?"
◦Yoon Jeonghan 6 years ago
@⧾Kang Dongho It was another boring day at work for Jeonghan. Not that there is a day that was not boring to him though. As a matter of fact, he dislikes his job quite a bit. He has always been having several jobs at the same time, but he especially hates the duties of a waiter. Greeting and smiling as customers walk in, answering pointless questions about what's inside their latte- really, it's just a god damn latte. He was never good at socializing much, heck, even taking orders are painful for him. Jeonghan was actually lucky enough to get the job, if it wasn't for his extensive amount of experience doing part-time, he would have been rejected with his display of attitude during the interview. He wishes he could get another job less social, but he's currently tight on money and time, so he took every opportunity he has to make extra pennies.

His boring day feels like it has turned a little sour as he heard a customer calling out for a waiter. He glances to his co-worker, who's obviously pretending to not hear the call, wiping down vigorously on an already clean table. Oh well... So here he is now, sighing as he approaches the male customer who just walked in five minutes ago, hoping that he would order right away without further questions. "Yes, may I take your order?" He tries to say gently, perfect with a smile on his lips as he observes the man sitting down looking through his menu, whom Jeonghan thinks a bit rough-looking.
