@Bang Yongguk {Senior} [No apologies necessary. As long as you aren't rude about it, I wouldn't take offense.]

Nodding at his answer, Boa realized he must be quite good. If she weren't so shy about offending people, she would have asked to see some of his work one day. "Then by many people's standards, you are an expert. Ten years is considered expert." At least that's what she'd been told. It made her happy to see him happy.

He had a point and she truly believed what was meant to happy would happen regardless of what she did. "You're right. I just don't think I have time right now."
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [] Gahh My apologies! I thought you were busy and I didn't know how I should ask you without sounding too inconsiderate djdkd otl

He shifts his attention towards her, an eyebrow quirked as he gave her question some serious thought. He reminiscenced the very moment he had taken a genuine interest in the arts, a time that dates back a good decade or two. "For as long as I can remember." He answers so simply, a fond smile laid across his visage.

With a purse of his lips, he turns his head towards the front, gaze kept fixated on the view ahead. "I see. Well, life is so full of surprises. You never know what's going to happen next.

@Wong Yukhei {Senior} [No worries. Thanks love.]

She knew what he meant, but at the same time, she never stuck around after that class. She had to get to the university for her anatomy class. "Ah sorry about that. I have to rush out after that class. It's to meet you too though. Thank you. I am as well as photography." Knowing that she was actually capable of dancing Pointe in her sneakers, she shrugged. "No. Pointe shoes, but I do it in my sneakers on stage and I'm always fine. I think it's the grass, since I can't turn as easily. No worries. I'll be fine in a couple days." At his statement, she chuckled. It never felt like work to her, but to someone who didn't love it, it certainly could. "I've been dancing ballet since I was 3, so I guess I'm just used to it, but yes. Stamina is very important as is technique. That's where most people mess up." Her included. When she was preoccupied, hip hop was her go to, never ballet. She'd learned that lesson as a child. In her mind, ballet and especially Pointe took a whole new level of concentration. Lucky for her, when she loved something enough, she fixated on it and tuned everything else out. Ballet and dance in general was one of those things.

Regionals was one of those weird competitions where you needed to qualify for it during state and districts, but you could also get in if you had a recommendation. Since competing was one of her favorite things, she'd placed first in both districts and state. Everyone was saying she couldn't do it again at regionals, especially with some of her competition and the fact that she never competed in the partner portion. She'd prove them all wrong. "Well, I am required to do at least one dance with a partner. And while I have the music and choreography, I have no partner." Looking over at him, she sigh. "Nationals is in 6 months. Regionals is next month, but I have no idea who can dance hip hop well enough or lift me. Ergo, I'm stuck." And it really , because she'd worked so hard putting together crazy combos, difficult moves and she'd pushed her body to limits no one else had before.
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} [Crap! How did I not get this. So sorry for the wait. Feel free to poke me next time.]

Leaning back into the bench, she smiled and relaxed. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, she had a realization. "How long have you been drawing?" She'd been dancing just over 15 years. By most peoples standard, that made her an expert. She didn't think so though.

Boa gave him a half hearted smile. "Thanks, but I'm not even sure it matters anymore." At this point, she'd never date anyone. Besides, did she really have the time?
Wong Yukhei {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [ Oh, right! Sorry about that, but yes, we can do dance class. ]

He smiled brightly when she recognized him and nodded his head to confirm that he was indeed Yukhei, the one and only. "Yeah, never got the chance to talk since the class is pretty big. Nice to meet you finally. You're really good at dance. Are you majoring in it?" He asked, toying with his headphones briefly. Glancing down at her ankle once again, he made an sympathetic hum. "Ah, the Pointe. Yeah, you should use ballet flats, right? I don't really do ballet, but sounds like a lot of stamina is needed for that." Actually, he was terrible at ballet. At least, he knew he was no good at it based on the little experience he had with it. The last time he had attempted to do ballet with his dance partner, he had nearly twisted his ankle. Now Yukhei liked to think he was graceful when it came to dancing, but ballet-level grace was another thing he couldn't do. That's why he stuck to what he knew best — modern dance. With popping and sharp dance movements.

The senior perked up when he heard her mention the Regionals. He had been contemplating whether he should join or not. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to, considering he needed to pull up his grades or his mother would try to ground him again, and this time, he knew he wouldn't be able to sweet talk out of it. "The Regionals? Oh...well, why not? You don't have a choreo for it yet?" Yukhei asked, resting his elbows on top of his thighs as he leaned his upper body forward. "How far is it? Like, about six months, I believe, right?" Once again, he wondered if he should try out for it. It had been a while since he went on a competition and won first place. In that case, he would really need to step up his game in both studies and dance.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} He paints a smile across his visage, leaning himself forward to fold his arms over his lap. He props an elbow up against the edge of his knee, chin resting comfortably on the palm of his hand as he emanates a soft hum of agreement. "Not yet."

He pivots his head towards her, features softening as he gives a few encouraging pumps of his fist. "That's lovely, really. I'm wishing you all the best for that."
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} Hearing him, Boa couldn't help, but laugh with him. She nodded, knowing he was right. "That's true. So I guess you're a master at drawing then." She stared out over the courtyard and felt the breeze catch some of her hair. She probably should have put it up. Now it would be tangled from dancing.

Shrugging, she admitted that he said he was, but it didn't mean he always would be. "Things have been a little weird since he worries about me dating. I want to show him that wouldn't change anything." She couldn't admit it was because of her confusion over her uality.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} He couldn't help a light chuckle, hands nestled upon his lap as he makes a few casual swings of his legs, head leaning over as he diverts a playful stare in her direction. "And the keyword's 'try'. They try to be." With a knowing smile, he straightens himself up, back coming to a rest against the bench.

"I'm sure he already is, though." There was a puzzled crease on his forehead, an eyebrow arched questioningly as he asks, "Why wouldn't he?"
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} The fact that she liked Yongguk didn't really surprise her. She tended to gravitate toward guys for friends. It was odd at first, but now she accepted it and it was part of the reason she suspected she was a lesbian. Maybe she'd figure it out one day. "That's true, but I have met people who try to be." She shrugged. She just wanted to dance personally.

At the compliment, Boa looked over at him and smiled. "Thank you. I hope I can do it. I still have 2 dances to finish and one is with a partner. I want to make my godfather proud of me." It was important to her, so he wouldn't leave her too.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} He breathes a quiet sigh of relief, honestly feeling grateful that she'd show some respect for his privacy. With a timid smile, he adjusts his glasses with a quick push on its frame just as it begins slipping down the bridge of his nose. "Jack of all trades, master of one. People can't be good at everything."

With his gaze finding its fix on the tree he had previously been situated under, he sounds off a soft hum, head nodding in a gesture of approval. "That's real soon, but I'm sure you'll pull it off. You're really good."
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Wong Yukhei {Senior} [Oh, she's not on the dance team, so perhaps they met in dance class?]

As she gently touched it and poked at it, she knew for sure it wasn't broken, sprained or strained. Nope. Just slightly twisted and over rotated. It would be fine. The problem was, she would have to stay off of it for tonight and that was nearly impossible for her. Between taking care of her bestie and roommate, she had a hard time being still. Activity was her middle name. With a sigh, she gave into the idea of being sedentary for the evening. At least she could read the first 4 books on her list for her lit class at the university. She'd leave her nemesis for last. Good thing she still had her crutches from a few years ago. They would definitely come in handy, since she knew without them Hyuna would call Godfrey about her injury and he would overreact. Regionals were coming up in a few weeks and she needed to be back to 100% by then, so if that meant taking a slight break she'd do it. Although it wasn't the best plan, Boa realized she could come up with the next dance in her head while she healed. After all, no one knew better what her body was capable of or how it moved. She nodded to herself as she pulled out her iPod and turned it off. Well at least now she had a reason to actually get back to her paper. Granted she only had 2 pages left and it wasn't due for two weeks, but the sooner it was done, the sooner she could focus solely on the competition. Both of her dads were coming, she hoped.

Finally, getting out of her head, she realized she was no longer alone. She looked up from massaging her ankle and nodded. "Yes. I'm Boa." It took a moment for realization to kick in, but when it did, she smiled. "Yukhei. Right, I remember you. We have modern dance together." He was really good at it too. She was okay, but it wasn't her focus or what her training was in. She smiled and gestured to her ankle. "I'll be okay. Just overused it I think. Probably shouldn't be doing Pointe in sneakers." She chuckled at her own stupidity. "Just trying to get ready for Regionals, but at this rate I may not be able to compete." She sigh. It was her senior year and this was something that would help her get a full ride to Lakeside University next year, but without a partner, she couldn't even hope to qualify for Nationals.

@Bang Yongguk {Senior} Being pretty observant, the girl noticed her question made him nervous. Why? She wasn't asking to see his work. While she enjoyed beautiful art work, she never tried to make someone uncomfortable. There were times when she would walk slowly through the art building though and admire all the work. "Sounds like fun. I can't draw.

Writing was more her thing than drawing. Stories, poems, you name it. With a warm smile, she shook her head and tried to put him at ease. "I won't ask to see what you were drawing. That's your business. I just think being able to draw is really cool." She glanced at her ankle again. "Yea it would, but I have a competition in a few weeks and still have another dance to finish and perfect." Not to mention the one with her partner.
Wong Yukhei {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} Staring down at the graded test in his hand, Yukhei scowled down at the C mark on the nearly crumpled paper. Normally he didn't pay too much mind on his exams if he didn't do that well, but he had studied for his Russian test for hours yesterday only to get the unappealing letter grade in red. Guess he'd have to study harder and not last minute. He had reached the courtyard by then, taking a seat on a bench unceremoniously and dumping his backpack on the cement between his feet. ping it, he shoved the paper inside and then leaned back into his seat. He didn't have anymore classes today and there was a shortage of homework tonight which he would be able to finish within an hour if he wasn't too lazy. Yukhei was about to get out his headphones when he noticed he wasn't alone on the bench like he had initially thought. She looked familiar and instantly he recognized her as Boa from his dance club. They didn't interact much but he knew one thing for sure: she was a really good dancer.

He didn't want to look too obvious that he was staring at her, but he noticed that she looked like she was in discomfort. Eyeing her ankle that she seemed to be inspecting, he cleared his throat. Might as well start a conversation, and besides, he wanted to make sure she was alright. "Hey. Boa, right?" He asked, loud enough for her to hear since they were a few feet away from each other. "I'm Yukhei. I'm in the dance club too. I remember seeing you around. Are you okay? You don't look that comfortable." He offered a small smile, glancing down at her ankle and then back at her face. She looked exhausted. Maybe she had a long day too.

Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} Her question makes him recall about the sketches he's made of the dancer, and that prompts a nervous cough out of him. His hands were awkwardly placed on his lap, eyes drifting momentarily as he runs a nervous scan around the courtyard. "Yeah. Just drawing some . . . stuff."

He's always had the habit of drawing things that capture his ultimate attention, things that he find exceedingly captivating. Her movements did just that, and his hands just moved on their own. He fears that if he were to tell her that, she'd freak out and he might actually be ruled off as a creep. Thus, he keeps it to himself, deciding to shift the onto her ankle entirely. "It'd be a same if it doesn't heal fast. You dance really well."
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} It was funny. Her ankles were always her weak spot. Some people injured their knees, but she always messed up her ankles. Sprains, strains, twists, but so far no breaks. For that she was eternally grateful. For that reason though, she'd long ago stopped going to the doctor. After so many visits, she'd learned to tell the difference and how to treat each.

"Oh that's pretty cool. Is that what you were doing out here?" Nature was a wonderful place to create art. In fact, it was one of her favorite places to dance as well as take photos. Looking from him to her discolored ankle, she nodded. "Yea. It's just twisted. I've had worse, but if I wrap it tonight and ice it and stay off of it of course, I'll be fine in a few days." That meant crutches though. This should be fun.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} He claims himself a place on the bench, keeping a fair distance between them as he settles his bag down by his side. He spares a quick look over at her ankle, eyebrows narrowing in a prominent frown as he notes of the severity of the injury. He's learnt about first aid at some point in his life, and he sure hopes she'll be alright.

"I do paintings, sketches . . . Something of that sort." He tears his gaze away from her ankle, concern etched in his tone as he gesture a hand towards her injury, "Are you sure you're going to be alright? Do you need me to get an ice pack for you?"
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} Boa grinned and nodded. As far as she was concerned, dance should also be considered a visual art. It wasn't the only major she had either. It was just the main one. She massaged her ankle as she sat on the bench. "So what field of visual arts? I'm also a photography major." Snapping and developing pictures was her happy time. She liked digital too though.

Something about him made her feel comfortable and she was able to relax. "It's nice to meet you Yongguk." She gave him a smile.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} Eventually, he'd come to realise how silly his question was, but chooses not to ponder too much into the nonsensicality of it all as he allows himself a moment to think over his response. It felt nice, really, to be able to converse with someone without having to feel so awkward about the situation. For some reason unknown, he finds her comfortable to be around, and she seems nice too.

Once he's crafted a proper sentence in his head, he'd answer, "I'm Yongguk, and I major in visual arts. It's not the most exciting course but it's refreshing."
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} Clearly this guy was nice. He was even worried about her ankle and he didn't even know her. Her life was funny that way. She seemed to attract guys, but only as friends, which was fine with her, since she was still struggling with her uality. She also appreciated how he didn't touch her. Skinship was something she only did with her dad and her best friend. Well, now her brother figure too, but that was different. They were all family. Anyone else just made her feel weird.

Boa almost laughed at his question. Wasn't that obvious, but she knew he was trying to be friendly. "Yes. I am. What about you? What's your major and what's your name by the way? I'm Boa." He was helping her, so she didn't feel a need to be rude.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} As she made her way over to the bench, he makes it a point to keep close by her side, a hand gripping firm on the strap of his bag with the other tucked away in the pocket of his sweater. He wishes to offer her assitance, but he doesn't want to hold her or make any form of physical contact for that matter. It could make her uncomfortable.

He's just sure to keep a close watch on her, occasional shifting his gaze elsewhere as he ponders over a likely topic to start on. "So . . . You're a dancer?" He'd ask, having mustered up a load of courage to bring it up.

@Bang Yongguk {Senior} As she took off her sneaker, she could see some slight discoloration and knew that meant no more dancing today. She'd have to ice it and soak it. The tape she'd put on it had done a good job of keeping her from twisting it though. When she got back to her room, she'd soak it and then wrap it. Looking up when she heard the question, she was startled. "Um, yes. I'm okay." She laughed it off. "I just shouldn't be doing ballet, especially Pointe, in sneakers." She knew better, but on stage she did it and it didn't bother her. Of course the stage was designed for her to slide around on. The grass wasn't.

She put her shoe back on and attempted to stand, not wanting to put much pressure on that ankle though, she limped toward a bench.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} When she cuts for a break, he, too, would stop, fingers coming to a rest against the now filled page as a smile gradually eases it's way onto his features. Upon further notice, however, he notes of how the dancer would begin to inspect her ankle, and it was at that moment that he understands her plight. At that instant, he shuts his book, pencil nestled between the pages as he shoves it straight into his bag. With a hand grabbing onto the strap of his bag, he slings it over his shoulder before gradually taking his approach towards the girl.

Eventually, he'd arrive to a halt by her side, concern painted in the form of a small frown as he asks, "Are you alright?"
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} Since this new dance is more a mix of ballet and jazz, it is much easier to make it blend. The problem is the difficulty level is not high enough to ensure she wins 1st place. That was important, because she could use the prize money at this point. It would be more than enough to buy a car or start saving for college. She still didn't know is he'd get a full ride or not and college was her only option after graduation.

As she did multiple pirouettes in her high tops, she felt her ankle about give out, so she stopped. She really needed to be in Pointe shoes to do this part properly and without injuring herself, so she'd have to practice this later. Instead, she sat down in the grass and stretched her legs out while checking her ankle. It would be sore for a few days, but nothing she couldn't handle.
Bang Yongguk {Senior} 6 years ago
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} Basking in the silence that sounds through the air, accompanied by the soft ruffles of the leaves as a gentle breeze sweeps by. A figure sits hunched beneath a tree, seeking shade from the afternoon's sun as he busies himself with his sketchbook. It was at a time like this that he's able to fully relax himself, shoulders eased as he leans himself against the trunk of the tree, leisurely tracing random on the blank canvas.

It was then a sudden rustle distracts him, and he raises his head towards the source, only to blink upon the sight of a female . . . Jumping? No– Dancing. It was an intriguing sight, and he found himself staring with a look of apparent awe, not helping but to find her movements so fluid and simply . . . mesmerising. Unconsciously, he begins to trace her movements in a series of sketches, gaze occasional drifting back to note of her form.
Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} Dropping her bag on her bed, she straightened up her desk and set out the things she'd work on this evening. For now, she was content to go out and dance in the courtyard. Knowing it would mess up her ballet shoes, she opted for her high tops. So after taping her ankles and feet, she went outside with her iPod. It was a warm day, so she choose to wear her shin length leggings and her leotard. There was hardly anyone out here today, so she took advantage and used the space to make her leaps and jumps bigger. Having finally perfected the transition from ballet to hip hop and back, she practiced the whole dance three times and then smiled. It now seemed effortless. From her graceful leaps to her hardcore hip hop moves, everything flowed into the next movement. She felt weightless as though in water and that was how she knew she was ready to move on to the next dance.

Jung Younghwa {Junior} [A] 6 years ago
@Bang Yongguk {Senior} Although Younghwa held his effort to get Younggyuk's attention, it failed. To Younghwa, the older male was intimidating and mysterious it made him want to know him more. It was all too confusing for the junior. A senior comes up to him every day, asks if he's okay then just leaves. He really hated how much it didn't make sense. Younghwa sighs and stops in his tracks as the eldest was already long gone.

Younghwa walked back to the girls and they all laughed and he just shrugged. The bell was about to ring and class was about to start. Remembering his class schedule youngguk said goodbye to his friends and walked with a few of them down the hall since they have the same class together.

[] Wanna move to the food court? Maybe Younghwa sits with him at lunch.
