Public Library

@❂Yuuma The place was quiet, as silent as a public library could be at that time of the day. The book Yukhei was reading was a mystery one, a bit surprise of how humans could build up such stories when he himself wouldn't be able to make up a children story. His eyes looked up a bit to the back door, far from where he was sitting but thanks to his sensitive ear sense was perfectly noticible for him. but he couldn't really see anybody walking around, not that he really cared about. A while later, the book was over, same predictible end again. Sometimes Yukhei wonder why would he keep on reading a story that seems to be just like the others with no actual interesting twist worth the reading, maybe he was a helpless optimistic. He stood up, lightly fixing the black vneck shirt he was wearing as he walked around the library again, his eyes scanning the same section he took the book he just finished but not really finding it. Some steps later he could noticed a weird form curled up between bookshelves, his unknown for called his attention, the tail made him guess that creature could be part of the werewolves but he was different, smelled different, maybe one type he has never seen before. The curiousity Yukhei had was almost uncontrollable, got him into the most dangerous positions and usually made him see things he should have but he couldn't help it; he found hilself walking right in front of the curling one to meet him

@⚰Yukhei Yuuma had, once again, done something extremely stupid and snuck into the public library. He was wearing an anime printed T-shirt that he wore as a dress, striped stockings and a black jacket that hung loosely over his shoulders. He had two black furry ears on his head and a limp furry tail peeking out from under his T-shirt. It was attached to the back of his boxers with a pin. Yuuma would argue it was to keep creatures away, to make him look like a werewolf from afar but... he had actually just been really into the comic Loveless lately. It was a sad story he resonated with. After running out of reading material, he had broken into the public library - through the back entrance of course - and snuck into the comic section. He was currently squatting in a corner between the bookshelves, his body curled up to be as small as possible. Yuuma should have been hiding but he couldn't read in the dark and the story was too good- he couldn't rip his eyes from it, his heart beating excitedly. He was so engrossed he didn't hear the sound of footsteps approaching.

@⚰Joonmyun *the meek greeting from the vampire hardly reaches Chanyeol's ears as he is already rounding the corner of the second bookshelf, reaching out to jab at potential reads*
*with an armful already, the werewolf is left gobsmacked by the amount of vampire and werewolf literature, and ends his hunt with this row*
Hi, again. I'm going to just, uh...
*he looks at the vacant chair and rests a hand on it while smiling upward to finally make eye contact with the other*
Sit here- and read. I have a few that I need to burn through.
*while sitting, Chanyeol's smile fades just momentarily as he recalls this familiar person*
You're here all the time, aren't you?
*he cracks open the first book and sighs deeply while nestling deeper into the only-slightly-cushioned chair*

@☾Chanyeol *he can smell the werewolf before he reaches his side, but that doesn't make him flinch, it makes him smile instead, because he's seen this person before*
Hi~ *he replies with a shy smile, about to say something else before the other just dashes off and he blushes at his own missed chance. Right, he tells himself, looking down at his notes and then letting his eyes fall on the selection of tomes that has been dropped by his side, the titles all quite familiar, he can't help his eyebrow from curling as he takes one in particular and start leafing through the first few pages*

@☾Hoseok They're about different people, all living in the same dark city.
The Black Book of Secrets is about this mysterious pawn shop owner who pays people for their secrets. It's interesting~

@❂Changkyun Ten stared at the human in worry as he fought for breath, trying to keep a respectful distance yet hovering near him all the same, his mind racing as he wondered if there was any way he could help him. "You're welcome," he answered, kneeling down on the floor beside him. He offered the human a hesitant smile, one which froze on his lips when his gaze finally caught on the bandages that said a lot more than innocent white cloth probably should have. Yet in this city, with the creatures roaming -the very creatures which Ten was now /one of/- there was no way for it to be mistaken for anything else. "It's," he swallowed hard, "it's fine." His mind was racing, trying to come up with ways to ask the human if he was alright, and what had happened, without crossing lines.

But of course, Ten's brain wasn't coming up with anything, so he merely took a seat -- at a safe distance from the human, close enough to touch if one of them reached for it but far enough away that they would have to actually make an /effort/ to touch. "I'm Ten," he introduced himself, chewing on his lower lip. What was he supposed to say? /You look like you need help with a vampire problem, but I can't help you because I'm weak, but you can talk to me about it?/

@☾Hoseok Certainly. A series I rather enjoyed was Tales from the Sinister City.
It's a macabre themed series comprised of 4 books: The Black Book of Secrets, The Eyeball Collector, The Bone Magician and The Lunatic's Curse.

@⚰Ten The world blacked out for a moment and all Changkyun could do was damn the vampire who had attacked him and left him in this state straight to hell. A jolt brought him back to consciousness, but it wasn't from hitting the floor like he'd expected. The student's vision managed to focus on the good samaritan that had likely just saved him from a concussion, but couldn't quite focus on his features. Shakily, he placed his other arm (the one not being held by the stranger) on the floor to help ease his way onto the carpet. For a moment, he didn't say anything. He just sat with his knees to his chest and fought to regain his breath.
"t-thank you." he nearly whispered, scared if he spoke any louder his head might explode. "I'm okay thanks to you." Sure, his shoulder might ace a little later, but that wasn't a big deal when he considered what could have happened when falling and surrounded by metal shelves. His hand came up to absently rub the bandages on his neck, as he tried to bring the world back into focus. "I'm sorry if I worried you." Changkyun gave a small anxious chuckle of his own when he saw the stranger's (handsome) face.

@☾Hoseok I see...
*chews on his bottom lip softly*
There's not much I can do except point you to the horror section.
There's a lot of books there, I'm afraid. It may take ages to find...

@⚰Joonmyun *a day off means time to read, and that means chanyeol needs books, so here he spends his afternoon, weaving about the nonfiction shelves*
*after grabbing several books of decent size he finds it inconvenient to attempt the balancing act, so he searches for a table nearby to rest his growing bounty- his eyes spied a single table that was not covered in a studying student, and that was one with only the of one on it*
*upon a moment more of inspection chanyeol sees the grey aura with the glowing red force in the chest cavity, identifying him as a vampire... not that he cares, however, as he sets his growing tower on the surface*
Hi-- don't mind my books, I'll be back for them soon.
*Chanyeol flashes a crooked, dimpled smile at him before bustling off to the nonfiction M's again*

@☾Chanyeol *slowly pushes a pile of dusty books on an empty desk, his belongings scattered over the wooden surface but he isn't worried as today the place is even more deserted than usual*
*he sits on the table, long legs swinging as he puts a heavy tome in his lap and curls on it*
*lazily turning the pages, he reads an article he had been looking for, sometimes stopping to mumble and write down a couple of notes, and the whole space is filled by his small humming sounds*

@☾Hoseok *looks up from the book he is reading behind the counter and pushes his glasses up*
Hello... *smiles gently, looking a bit shy*
Can I help you with something, sir?
*places a bookmark in his book and closes it*

@❂Changkyun Movement from one of the corners attracted Ten's attention, the florist swiveling toward the person who moved. Hearing his "oh ", Ten realized he was falling, and raced over, barely catching his arm in time to keep him from hitting the floor hard. It would have definitely jarred his arm, though, and Ten winced. "Sorry," he apologized as he slowly lowered the stranger, who was presumably human, to the ground. "I hope that didn't hurt too bad. I just, couldn't get over here in time and I didn't want you to hit your head or something so I grabbed your arm. I really hope it doesn't hurt too bad," he repeated earnestly. After a moment, he realized he was still holding the obvious student's arm and released him like he had been burned, with a nervous laugh and another soft apology.

@⚰Ten A cramp had started to form in Changkyun's leg from sitting curled up on the floor for so long. With a quiet sigh, he stretched his legs out (careful to avoid knocking over the stack of textbooks next to him). A corner of the floor in YA Fiction section wasn't exactly ideal for long hours of studying, but after making the trek from his dorm only to find the study cubicles occupied, it was as good a place as any. At least the section was mostly empty this time of night, the kids already having gone home. When simply stretching out didn't relieve the cramp, the student hauled himself off the floor. For a moment, he seemed steady but a wave of vertigo hit hard, knocking him backwards with only enough time for a quiet: "oh .."

@❂Changkyun Ten stepped inside the library, running a hand through his hair. He wasn't there for any book in particular, but he planned to do some browsing to find something to read in his spare time or on those days when he couldn't sink into sleep properly. Chewing on the inside of his lip, he moved toward the young adult fiction section. He was a weakling for fiction novels, particularly those with supernatural or fantasy elements. Sure, it might seem laughable for a vampire to enjoy those things, but Ten had been a human until a year ago and besides, vampires could enjoy such things as well. He ran his fingers over the spines of the books until they lead him to a Tamora Pierce novel -- he hesitated, contemplating whether or not to choose this one. While her books were enjoyable, they were often romance centered and sometimes were a little hard to take at points. He hummed softly, eyes flitting to the next name on the shelf. After a moment, he pulled the book off of the shelf, and wandered deeper to look for more.
