Here have always been covens among the race of vampires. covens where groups of vampires, regarding bloodline, social status, age and more come together as one and discuss the problems and the solutions among themselves. ever since the outbreak of the rogue virus, almost all of the covens ceased to exist, and in came two covens on the rise that are for different purposes and different beliefs. even as one race, these two covens stand to defy eachother.
these covens are known as the carpe noctem ( seize the night ) and the pro bono ( for the good ). the carpe noctem is a coven that is particuarly well known for being vile, violent, ruthless and intelligent. they are not for the idea of co existing with humans, and refuse to follow the code of humans as they feed off of them whenever and where ever they please. the carpe noctem is also notorious for turning on their own race even if it means protecting themselves.
the pro bono is the exact opposite. they are for co-existing among humans, even more so as they work along side with the society of hunters. the pro bono looks at the brighter side of things and refuses to feed off of humans, off of the main source. instead, the pro bono uses blood tablets, willing donors, or blood bags donated by the society of hunters as gratitude. the pro bono are known for throwing the carpe noctem under the bus even if it means saving their own race as a whole.
