it's been a while since the cow has made an appearance for he felt way too shy to interact with anyone, but he was getting lonely and thought that he should at least try and make the effort to be somewhat social. And so with slow and quiet steps, nate makes his way down the hall and into the lobby

It had been a few days since Hokuto had gotten permission to enter the sanctuary, but only now he had found the time to head there. He was aware the hybrids were scarred from their pasts and, as the detective he was, he walked in soft steps and looked around cautiously, to avoid disturbing their daily lives or startling them.

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Mingi arrived to the front with a soft pant, dumbfounded by how Ciel had gotten there first when he'd sprinted through everything. Regardless, the bunny held up his soft, excited smile, "Yes, please. I'm ready to go. I think I'll be okay-- I didn't have a hat but... my ears should be okay, right?" It wasn't too terribly cold and the bunny was tougher than he looked. He'd have to have been anyway.

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ Freed, Ciel stepped away from Mingi with a simple wave to allow himself to head in the direction of his own room. He dressed in thicker clothes, pulled a jacket on and as promised headed to the front of the sanctuary. He didn’t want to get a cold, and there was nothing unpleasant about being wrapped in winter clothes when the times called for it. “Are you ready then? It’s not too far of a walk.”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Mingi let go of Ciel, all in the name of getting out the door sooner, "Okay. I'll be there." The bunny jumped up and nearly ran out of the lobby and for his room. He didn't want to keep Cuel waiting after all. The bunny slid into winter gear then ran out again. He was rambunctious for the time being, eager to see what he hadn't before.

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ From what he’d seen, Mingi seemed quite timid, quiet, shy. Seeing him excited like this wasn’t unwelcome, though it reminded the rabbit again of how quickly people could change through just a brief time of getting to know them. He didn’t shrug them hand off as he got up, nodding. “Let’s go then. I’m going to get a jacket first, I’ll meet you round the front in a few minutes?”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Was Mingi ever busy? Not unless Ciel counted Mingi's nose buried in books to be busy. The bunny hopped to his feet, the one time his excitement couldn't be contained. His smile brightened and he tugged gently on Ciel's arm, "Let's go. I'm not busy. We can go."

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ Though the handshake was jerky, and by no means the firm promise that some might expect from the gesture, it sealed the deal. “Are you busy right now? It doesn’t seem like things are getting any livelier, and it’s not too late in the day. We could go out now and have plenty of time to take a look around.”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ The bunny perked up a little, his body less swallowed by the oversized clothing he seemed to live in. Mingi tookthe offered hand with some shyness and did his best to shake it, awkward, but definitely a handshake, "When do you think you'll go next?"

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ Deal confirmed with a nod of the rabbit’s head, he shifted his hand, holding it out to offer a shake to Mingi. “I wouldn’t laugh at someone for something they enjoy, I’m not that much of a . I’ll bring you to town, we can have a walk around and be back before curfew, you can show me some of your magick things.”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Mingi restrained himself from looking too happy at the agreement. He was nervous, yes, but what was the worst that could happen? He would have freedom and Ciel seemed to know how to care for himself. The bunny nodded a prompt thank you to the rabbit, fluffy tail behind him bubbling in excitement despite his restraint. The bunny considered the exchange, "Okay... but... promise not to laugh...?"

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ At the request, the hybrid nodded. He almost wanted to give Mingi a pat on the head, with how timid he seemed about asking. “Sure. I’ll come find you then, the next time I go.” Though his ears had to strain a little to catch what the bunny was mumbling about, when he caught it he spoke, “It’s not fairytale stuff if you actually believe in it. How about I take you to town with me, and you show me some of the things you do for your magick? Sound fair?”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Freedom. This was Mingi's first taste of it since leaving his parents home. He wasn't used to it and in some ways it was as overwhelming as meeting new people. The bunny peeked up, "Next time you go into town-- Can... Can I come with you, please? You won't even know I'm there. I swear." The bunny was far too afraid to go on his own, but at least Ciel would provide some cover. Mingi's cheeks heated and he mumbled a bit, "Magick? Alchemy? Just... fairytale stuff..."

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ The rabbit looked puzzled for a moment, and nodded his head. “Haven’t you heard him say? We’re not prisoners here. There’s a curfew, but if he forced us to stay indoors every hour of the day, I’d be out of here fast.” Ciel looked from the book to Mingi and nodded. “What are the other things?”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Mingi blinked in surprise, shocked by what Ciel had just said, "Taehyung let's you go out? But... But won't something bad happen to you if you go out on your own?" The bunny shook his head. His eyes landed away on a book a few feet away from him, "I like to read... and take walks. I... I also dabble in a few things but-- but they're stupid."

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ “When it’s not so cold out, I like to take walks. The fresh air is nice. Other than that, I like to go out around the town, it feels like there’s more freedom that way. Taehyung is nice like that, he doesn’t make us feel trapped there.” He gave the bunny a light smile. “Have you found much that you enjoy here yet?”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Mingi nodded in a semblance of understanding. It was odd how different two people could be in their understanding of the world. The bunny pursed his lips and looked around, "If you like it here so much... What do you usually do for fun?"

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ Though the response was in no way convincing, Ciel didn’t push it, nor did he go on another rant. “Good, good,” He settled on adding. “At the moment? No. I don’t have any reason to, and I’m not interested in finding someone to take care of me, or whatever. I don’t need to. But maybe if the right person came along, and they were genuinely a nice person.”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Mingi shook his head as if to say it was okay and not a big deal, but his heart was running a mile a minute, courtesy of his prey animal tendencies. The bunny nodded a little, "I... I won't." Clearly, the bunny wasn't very convincing. He was starving for affection and, unfortunately, manipulating the bunny for a drop of affection wasn't all that difficult. The bunny bit his lip, "Would you-- So you'd never consider leaving this place?"

“That’s good, that you can enjoy what you do.” He decided finally, resting his chin upon his hand. “No. I don’t like it much. The cold is nice occasionally, but most of the time not so much.”

“It’s entertaining for me. Everyone has different interests, I grew up with a love for taking care of plants.” He smiled proudly with a little nod, taking a seat in a nearby chair, “it’s been snowing outside a lot, do you not like the cold?”

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ When the rabbit noted the change in the other’s demeanour, he paused, stopping himself before he could get quite so passionate about his cause. If it made the bunny uncomfortable, he wasn’t going to keep going with the rant. He shook his head. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get carried away with it. It’s alright to like all those things, just don’t let people push you around with it, okay? You seem like you’d be too nice.”

“I’d that an entertaining job?” He tilted his head slightly. Would it not get boring spending every day with plants? Each to their own though, he reminded himself. “Nicely observed. It’s going alright, thank you.”

@ciel takuma∘ ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ Mingi shied away the more Ciel grew agitated. Mingi shut his eyes. He didn't like when people grew angry around him because it always felt like they were angry at him and when someone was angry at him nothing good happened. Realistically, the bunny knew Ciel wasn't going to do anything but the bunny couldn't help the way his eyes shut and his body sank away into the cushions. Mingi nodded, quick to agree, "Y-Yeah... I guess-- I guess thats not good? I just... I like being held and stuff..." The last bit of it fell away into a soft whisper.

“I’m bobae. I’m a florist~“ he smiled before stepping over to stand near the hybrid but not invade his space, “there’s quite a few of you bunnies here. how’s your day going?”

“I doubt it. I’m Ciel,” The hybrid greeted, an ear twitching simply as he watched the human dust himself off. “Who are you?”

“hello there. have we met?” bobae greeted with a little smile, glancing over at the rabbit before standing up again and dusting himself off.

Inclining his head into a light nod of greeting towards the familiar human, Ciel murmured a light ‘hello’ as he watched him carry the books.

Bobae wandered inside with his hands full of books, placing them onto the little bookshelf in the corner of the room with a long exhale from exhaustion of carrying so many at once.

@choi mingi∘ ʰᵒˡˡᵃⁿᵈ ˡᵒᵖ ᵇᵘⁿⁿʸ Ciel gave his head a firm shake, shooting the bunny a look. “No. I don’t like being ragged around, felt up just because I’m fluffy. Wouldn’t you find it insulting? Someone you don’t know marching right up to you to feel up behind you because you’ve got a fluffy tail there? I don’t mind /affection/, with people that I know. But I don’t like being treated like a mindless fluff ball.” He gave his hand a lazy, but angry wave. “And the whole thing about rabbits being machines, isn’t it kind of insulting towards us?”
