@ᴍᴇɪʀʀɪs ᴅᴇʟᴀᴄʀᴏɪxᵇᵃ̀ⁿ ˡᵒ́ⁿᵍ By the time his classes ended, his plans with Meirris weren't until a couple of hours later as the girl had asked him to come by only in the evening so she could slide in a bit of time to work on her projects. After wasting the first hour away chatting with his roommates, he then thought to put his remaining time to good use, dropping by the library for the dark magic ritual books. It turned out to be not such a good idea once a familiar face took a seat across from him and the two ended up in a heated discussion about which one of the spells might work best.

Kyle unlocked his phone to check the hours, an attempt to see whether he'd have time to collect some of the stuff for the ritual so he could try it the following day, but was instead met with the harsh realization that he was nearly two hours late "Gotta go!" He muttered quickly as he grabbed the books he'd picked up. Typically he'd put them back but right now, he chose to drop them into the nearest box for Haneul to organize later.

As he swiftly rushed down the dorm hallways, Kyle tried to think of what even to tell Meirris once he got there. It was not unusual for him to lose track of time, but two hours was pushing it. Things had already been a little rocky between them and maybe unconsciously, Kyle had been pushing away, their plans often slipping his mind until the very last minute, and although he did mostly want to try talking it out and fix things, he knew today would definitely not be that day. In fact, as he knocked on the girl's door, he was already predicting another fight, though this time she might have had a bit of reason.

Kyle didn't even try to go for a greeting knowing well that he'd messed up, not that she'd have even allowed him considering the quickness with which he was questioned "Sorry... I got distracted..." His apology was weak but it was the truth, he had nothing else he could say to that "I was at the library with a friend and we kinda lost track of time" He added simply with a small shrug of his shoulders.

@ᴋʏʟᴇ ʟᴜxʷᵃʳˡᵒᶜᵏ Although Meirris was trying to focus on her assignment, her eyes couldn't help darting to the clock now and then. 'He's late,' she sulked as she twirled the pencil in her hand around. She and Kyle had planned to hang out in her room together since she was too tired from studying to go out. A night in with a movie and some cuddling sounded pretty nice right about now, but every minute that passed without him walking through the door made Meirris more and more irate.

'Just where the hell is he?' She finally slammed her pencil down to make a grab for her phone. They've been dating long enough where it wasn't uncommon for Kyle to show up late to their dates, usually because he was spending time with someone else. And usually she'd brush it off like a good girlfriend, but today just wasn't one of those days. He had been progressively spending less time with her, Meirris noticed, so her patient was wearing thin.

Before she could send out a lengthy message, a knock on her door caught her attention. Meirris bolted up from her seat to let the male in. He barely walked two inches into the room before she demanded, "Where were you?" She crossed her arms across her torso, raising an eyebrow to challenge his answer. "I waited almost two hours for you, Kyle. Just what were you out doing?"
