If you're a human, you either avoided the virus all together and are at risk of getting it now and turning into one of the crazed, or you got the virus before it mutated into this. Some of you may have suffered lasting effects from the virus, from lung damage, to nerve damage, to more. But the important thing is that you still have your mind.
Most humans are spending their time just trying to survive. Some stay within the city, aware that it's dangerous but taking advantage of the many resources in their immediate area. Others moved further out, finding that the further out of the centre that they go, the less crazed they run into, but also the less easy resources they have access to.
