"yes, i'm afraid so. our work never ceases. not in this lifetime nor the next i suspect."

"You really wont miss a chance to nag me, eh?" Her teasing grin matched with a glint of mischievousness in her eyes as she stared at him when he kissed her knuckle. "It's good to see you too, Vlad. How long has it been since the last time we met? 70 years? 100? I've lost count of the years we've been apart and I see you're still as handsome as ever." Thema smiled as she lightly patted Vlad's cheek. Eyes grew soft as she recalled when she met the man for the first time. "I guess dear mother called you here for business?"

"a princess ought to hold her head up high with pride in herself. strong, mighty, elegant... these gifts you have been born to possess. yet still you covet what was not meant for you?" his thick accent still sharp as ever with velvety depth, rolling over his r's like clear blue tidal waves as he settled by her side. dark eyes gazed out the window at the people down below, gently taking thema's hand with his grasp and slowly leaning in to press a chaste gentle kiss to the knuckles. "my princess, how i have missed your poor longing gaze.. it reminds me of my home."

Thema hadn't come home for quite a long time but the palace was still the same as she remembered. After changing into more appropriate dress, Thema made her way to the royal chamber but to her dismay, her mother, Queen Akasha herself was still busy to met her. "I guess something doesn't change even though I've been out for so long." She mused as she made her way back to her room, but stopping at the window that overlook the courtyard and sigh while watching all the vampyres out there. For some, they might be envying her life, but for Thema, she wished that she was just a normal vampyre.
