@Yoo Taeyang Once Taeyang stopped in front of him, Seokwoo had to fight the urge to wrap him up in his arms, cradling him against his chest, begging him for forgiveness, but he managed to stand his ground, letting Taeyang speak, wanting his lover to revile him. When he saw Taeyang's tears start to flow, he could feel a pain in the center of his chest, a ball of anxiety that settled there, creating a physical torment that he knew he deserved. His eyes widened when Taeyang actually reached out and touched him, his fingers digging into Seokwoo's arm through the sleeve of his leather jacket. Watching Taeyang lean closer, Seokwoo's first impulse was to kiss his lover, to show him that his feelings hadn't changed, to prove that Taeyang meant the world to him, but the memory of the blood on his teeth and mouth, the excess dripping down his chin stopped him. Why would Taeyang want to kiss a monster?

When Taeyang turned away, Seokwoo instinctively took a step toward him, but he didn't try to stop him. Instead he stood at the foot of the stairs, staring up as Taeyang climbed the staircase, his figure growing smaller, more distant, the anxiety building in Seokwoo's chest flaring, almost bending him over in pain. His eyes met Taeyang's when the younger man glanced back at him, and he mustered up a smile, trying to reveal without words how much he cared. Seokwoo waited until Taeyang disappeared inside his apartment, lingering at the foot of the stairs for several moments before he finally turned away, his eyes glassy with tears.

Heading back to the car, Seokwoo slipped into the back seat, muttering his address for the driver, leaning back into the upholstery, throwing an arm over his face, not wanting a stranger to see how devastated he was. The ride home was hazy, and when the car pulled up in front of his house, Seokwoo didn't have the energy to use his phone to pay the driver, simply reaching into his pocket, tossing a handful of bills at the man before he got out of the car, staggering up the path to his front door. Fumbling with his keys, Seokwoo finally managed to unlock the door, stumbling inside. Sliding to the floor, his back pressed against the door, Seokwoo covered his face, the shaking of his shoulders the only indication that his control had finally broken.

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ it sounded like a plea to taeyang, and the only answer he could provide was a shake of his head. seokwoo had to have his reason, and yet it left taeyang to think just how much of himself he had let bleed in front of seokwoo in an attempt to connect with his lover. it seemed foolish now, to think they were connecting on a deeper level when something so important had to be found out in that way. he couldn't bring himself to think poorly of seokwoo, but his inner voice was loud in denigrating himself for being so foolish.

when the car arrived, he moved to follow seokwoo, his lover having practically sprinted for the door so quickly that he barely had time to react. he slid in, onto the backseat bench and lowered his gaze toward his knees as he belted himself in and left his jacket over his lap. his gaze was directed out the window, watching the streetlights go by. he was beginning to feel as if he were watching things happening outside of himself. he was numb, frozen in place, and all he could do was wonder what he should have done differently not to be here. it wasn't until his mind began retracing his steps to before he met seokwoo that he felt his tears spring free once again and he managed to shake himself from that feeling of otherness to his own being.

the air outside of his apartment felt fetid, as heavy as the air outside of the club had felt. there was no reprieve, anywhere. he stood on the curb and watched as seokwoo went to the foot of the stairs. he gazed at the wrought iron steps, arching back on themselves once toward his rooftop apartment. "i wish," he began, looking up toward the sky, "i wish tonight hadn't happened." he swallowed the heavy lump in his throat and refused to look at seokwoo, knowing that he would break down in that moment if he did. "i'm going to go up there, and i'm going to wind up staring at my ceiling while i replay that in my head for hours until i can't stay awake any longer. and the entire time i'm going to try and figure out how it is that you would let me tell you all those things about myself like we were really being vulnerable with each other - and the worst part? it isn't even that you didn't tell me. you must have had your reasons, i know. but i had to find out... like that?"

he tilted his head down to look at seokwoo again before he finally approached the bottom of the staircase. he stood before his lover, his head tilted up to meet his gaze straight on even as his own eyes prickled with tears. "i'm still not scared of you, seokwoo. right now, i'm scared of me." a tear rolled free down his cheek and he slowly drew a hand out from beneath the safety of his jacket to grasp and squeeze seokwoo's bicep. "goodnight.." it was all he could bring himself to say even as he leaned in, some part of him wanting at least a kiss to hold him over, and yet he couldn't get any nearer to the mouth that had been on another man. instead, he had to settle for his fingers squeezing over the sleeve of seokwoo's leather jacket before he turned and headed upstairs to his apartment alone with just one glance over his shoulder when he reached the top.

@Yoo Taeyang "You're not stupid." Seokwoo's hands clenched, his nails digging into his palms when he noticed that Taeyang still had tears in his eyes. "I'm the one who kept something from you." Seokwoo wanted to explain, but everything he thought to say just sounded like an excuse to him. The truth was simple - - he was falling hard for Taeyang, and he was afraid when Taeyang found out that he was a vampire that he'd leave him. Sighing softly, Seokwoo added, "Please don't think badly of yourself. If you need to think badly of anyone, think of me."

To Seokwoo's relief, the car arrived, pulling up in front of the club, several feet from where they were standing. Racing over to it, Seokwoo opened the back door, holding it forTaeyang. For a moment, he hesitated once Taeyang slid into the car, debating whether he should sit in the front seat instead, allowing Taeyang to have some space, but his desire to spend every precious moment with his lover won, and Seokwoo followed Taeyang into the back seat. Unlike the ride to the club, Seokwoo kept his distance, staring out the window as they drive to Taeyang's apartment, hyper-aware of the man sitting next to him, hoping the driver would hit every traffic light just so Seokwoo could have a few more seconds in Taeyang's presence.

When they arrived at Taeyang's apartment, Seokwoo asked the driver to stand by, getting out of the car, his eyes locked on Taeyang. "I know you probably don't want me hanging around right now, but let me at least watch to make sure you get safely to your door." Seokwoo didn't wait for a response, walking over to the foot of the stairway, ready to stand there until he saw Taeyang home. He struggled to keep a calm expression on his face, but his heart was racing, fear coursing through his body, worried that when the front door of Taeyang's apartment shut behind him, Seokwoo might never see his lover again.

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ once outside of the club, taeyang walked away from the people standing outside on the sidewalk. he needed to be alone long enough to catch his breath. in the process, he shrugged out of his jacket, letting the thick, embroided material drape over his arm and leaving his skin partly exposed to the night air through the sheerer portions of his shirt. with his free hand, he fanned himself with one side of his shirt... and at last he drew in a deep breath. he wasn't entirely certain of what he had seen, there were gaps in what sense he could make of things, and while on the one hand he was relieved that seokwoo clearly wasn't just kissing another man, there were other issues at hand - seokwoo fed on blood, and had never thought to mention it. how many times had taeyang offered his neck? and should he have realized? how could he-

seokwoo's voice cut through his thoughts, and taeyang turned to face him, his expression still watery. he looked away once again, toward the street. his shoulders rose, hunched up as if to protect himself, and then fell. "you may," he murmured, tilting his head up to fight back the tears that threatened to fall anew. "i just-" something was clawing at his throat as he stole a glance at seokwoo again. his lover had cleaned up, but in his mind he could still see the blood on his mouth, the appearance of fangs extended below the edge of his upper lip. he had kissed those lips so many times. he shook his head. clearly he couldn't really bring himself to speak or even face seokwoo for long. instead he hugged his jacket closer to his chest and gazed down toward his feet. "i'm so..." his voice trailed off, his head tilting back and his eyes closed. he didn't move away from seokwoo as if he were afraid of him, but it was clear that whatever he wanted to say refused to meet his tongue. it left him quiet another moment longer, staring forward at the street in wait for the promised car. "i'm so stupid."

@Yoo Taeyang Seokwoo turned, watching Taeyang leave, making no effort to stop him. Once he was out of sight, Seokwoo glared at his ex lover, his voice like ice. "I was a fool to listen to you." He could have said more, but he didn't want to waste another moment in Alexander's presence. Brushing aside the curtain, he hurried down the hallway to the bathroom, ignoring the other occupants, heading straight to one of the sinks. Grabbing a handful of paper towels, running them under the faucet, he did his best to clean himself up, washing the blood off his face and hands. His shirt was hopeless, so he zipped his leather jacket up, doing his best to hide the stains before he ran his damp hands through his hair, brushing it off his forehead. Studying his reflection, he decided he was presentable enough to Taeyang home. Gripping the edge of the sink, he cursed under his breath, hating himself for making Taeyang miserable. He could still see the tears swimming in his eyes. For all his fine words about protecting Taeyang, he'd still managed to hurt him. He really wasn't any better than Alexander after all.

Calling for a car, asking for it to arrive as soon as possible, Seokwoo left the bathroom, striding through the club, weaving past the sweaty bodies on the dance floor, heading to the exit. Once he was outside, the cool night air hitting him in the face, he looked around for Taeyang, his heart pounding in his chest. Taking a deep breath, trying to calm himself, he noticed his lover standing alone on the sidewalk a few feet away from the club. Forcing himself not to run to him, he walked over to Taeyang, keeping his arms at his side even though all he wanted to do was hug him tight. "A car will be here soon. May I take you home? I'll sleep better tonight if I'm sure that you're safe." Seokwoo knew he didn't deserve any consideration on Taeyang's part, but if these were the last moments he was going to have with the man who had stolen his heart, he wanted to make them last as long as he could. Shifting on his feet, looking like a nervous schoolboy, he waited for Taeyang's reply, ready to beg for just a few more minutes of his time if he had to.

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ the sight in front of taeyang had made his blood run cold when his first thought was that seokwoo was kissing this other man's neck. his skin began to crawl as he thought of how it had felt when seokwoo kissed him there just to have watched his lover walk away from him and do the same to someone else. worse still that seokwoo either didn't hear him or wouldn't acknowledge him. then seokwoo turned around at last, blood evident on his mouth. some other feeling entirely coursed through taeyang. it felt cold, like fear, and his feet were frozen in place.

his mouth went dry as this stranger to him stepped closer, and he could feel every muscle in his body tense. he rose up, spine curved, his eyes narrowed to something far smaller and darker than any look he had ever given seokwoo, and in all black he looked like a panther about to pounce on a creature who had missed the signs of danger and wandered within striking range. then he heard the question of what seokwoo is, and he shrank into himself once more and looked at him as the taller man turned his back on him again. the one thing taeyang could be thankful for is that his anxiety had ebbed into dull background noise when compared to this. at least it seemed as much for a moment.

"i-i-i don't know what to say," he stammered while seokwoo began to apologize. he held up a large hand, his sleeve falling back from his hand and bunching around his wrist. "i can't hear this right now." the next sound that left his lips was more akin to a pained whimper than anything else. his eyelids fluttered, his rapid blinking attempting to flush the scene before him from his eyes, but with it tears sprang to his lashes and spilled visibly onto his cheeks. "not right now, seokwoo. i can't- i- ngh." he bit his bottom lip, shaking his head as his eyes travelled toward the other man sprawled on the couch from where seokwoo had pushed him. there was no explaining this away, and certainly not here. he wouldn't want to hear another word from the man seokwoo had just... fed from. his hands gestured like nervous birds futilely trying to find escape from his wrists as he realized he hadn't been breathing for a moment.

"i'll be outside. i'm not waiting long, but - i'm not doing this in front of him." his voice was on the verge of breaking as he turned away from the sight in front of him. he didn't wait a second longer before he retraced his steps, not just back to the table they had shared, but to the entrance of the club. he needed air.

@Yoo Taeyang Lost in the taste of the blood in his mouth, something he hadn't experienced in a long time, Seokwoo didn't hear Taeyang call out to him at first. At some point, however, Taeyang's scent overpowered the smell of the blood, making Seokwoo pull away from Alexander, his eyes unfocused, his body trembling. Turning, his fangs on display, blood dripping past his lips and down his chin, spotting his white t-shirt, Seokwoo stared in horror at his lover. "Taeyang - - I - - "

Seokwoo could hear Alexander laughing as he stood frozen in place, his addled brain unable to think of anything to say. All he could see was Taeyang's face as he struggled to read his expression, knowing the younger man must be both horrified and disappointed in him. It was Alexander's voice that brought him back to reality. His ex had moved closer to Taeyang, the wound on his throat obvious, blood still leaking from it. "Go away, pretty boy. We adults have business to attend to." Seokwoo grabbed Alexander's arm, shoving him toward the couch, his ex sprawling over it, his laughter growing louder. "Don't tell me you really care about this guy, but you haven't told him what you are? You're getting more like me, Seokwoo. Using people, huh?"

Seokwoo covered his ears, his mind spinning. "Stop it!" he screamed at his ex. "I didn't want to hurt him - - I'd never want to hurt him." Knowing he must look terrifying, blood already drying on his mouth and chin, Seokwoo turned toward Taeyang, his eyes filled with despair. "I didn't want to hide all of this from you, I really didn't. If you'll let me explain - - " Seokwoo's voice trailed off. He wanted to grab Taeyang and hug him and tell him everything was alright, but with blood still dripping from his teeth, he turned his back toward his lover, his hands the front of his own shirt, blood staining his fingers as he mumbled over and over, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Taeyang - - I'm so sorry."

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ it should have been easy to find the bathrooms, but taeyang could feel himself beginning to spiral. one wrong turn would have been enough to send him from the club in a panic. it was easier to approach the bar. he leaned over the padded rail, trying to catch the attention of the bartender on duty. it took a moment, but with enough skin on display around the cut of his clavicles, taeyang probably could have gotten any attention he wanted - and yet all he wanted, besides directions to the bathroom, was nowhere to be seen even from up beside the bar. where could seokwoo have gone? this didn't seem like him. he had to remind himself he hadn't known seokwoo long enough to be certain of what was or wasn't him.

"can i help you?" the bartender's voice nearly made taeyang jump from his skin. he put a hand to his chest to still his breathing and ask for the way to the bathroom. he had to lean forward to shout over the sound of the loud club music. thankfully, the bartender was kind enough to provide directions with a gesture toward a hallway that seemed to split off not far to his right. he thanked the bartender and made his way toward the hall. his hand still rested at his chest, trying to calm the frantic beating of his heart. everything put him on edge, and already he wanted to beg seokwoo just to go home when he would find him again. he would rather dance in house slippers at the foot of his bed and fall into it at the end of the night than be here. god, he would rather be anywhere than here right now.

the little private alcoves, 'rooms' separated off with curtain on either side of a hallway that felt like it only continued to stretch out before taeyang, the door of the club restroom never seeming to get any closer, caused taeyang to thread as close to the middle as he could. he didn't need to accidentally stumble into someone's moment of privacy. he was only thankful that the music from the club seemed just that little bit quieter here - quiet enough that he could hear his heart pounding. one of the little privacy nooks appeared partially opened. some over zealous couple, taeyang assumed, had been in too much of a hurry to pull it shut entirely. he lowered his gaze as he stepped past. he would have kept walking, too. yet a familiar note hit his nose as he stepped through its trace. his hands trembled as he recognized it, and he took a step back, then another. he had to be sure.

his stomach dropped at the sight in front of him. a familiar breadth of shoulders he had clung to, long hair his fingers had combed through, a body he had felt so small beneath for just once in his life. "seokwoo..."
Kim Seokwoo ⚸ 6 months ago
@Yoo Taeyang Once they were out of earshot of the crowd, Seokwoo hissed, "Alexander, I want you to stay away from - - my friend." He realized he didn't want to share any information with his ex, including Taeyang's name. He wouldn't put it past him to harass Taeyang, and he didn't want any of Alexander's depravity rubbing off on someone who was so special to him now. Striding down a dimly lit hallway, a sign on the wall pointing to a couple of bathrooms located at the end of it, Seokwoo brushed back a curtain, shoving Alexander into one of the alcoves. It was a simple space that offered the illusion of privacy. There was a couch covered in pillows, and a curtain that didn't even reach the floor that provided some semblance of seclusion. In reality, they were places where couples - - old and new - - could make-out when dancing led to desire. Seokwoo, however, had no interest in rekindling any long dead passion with Alexander. All he wanted was to be sure that his ex would stay out of his life - - and Taeyang's too.

The moment they were behind the curtain, Alexander draped himself over Seokwoo, his voice wheedling. "Why so mean? Hmm? Didn't I always give you what you wanted?" Sneering, Seokwoo glared at his ex, shaking his head, "You gave everyone what they wanted." Alexander batted at Seokwoo's chest, his eyes dancing with amusement. "Such an old grump. I bet I know why? When was the last time you fed? I bet the new boy toy hasn't even given you a taste, has he?" Seokwoo's face betrayed him, letting Alexander know that he'd hit the nail on the head. Seokwoo wanted to talk to Taeyang about feeding, but he was so afraid Taeyang might abandon him that he had yet to explain his need. Angry that Alexander was apparently reading his mind, Seokwoo growled, "That's none of your business." Before he could say more, Alexander slid his arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Even as Seokwoo reached up to try and extricate himself, Alexander whispered in his ear. "I can tell you don't want to hurt your new - - friend." Alexander's voice was low and seductive as he continued. "Fed from me, then you won't need blood for at least a month."

Seokwoo squirmed in Alexander's hold, but what he was saying wasn't far from the truth. He didn't want to hurt Taeyang. Seokwoo saw his need for blood as disgusting, and he wouldn't blame Taeyang if he felt the same way. As he stood there, he could feel his canine teeth growing, and he groaned softly, fighting to maintain control of himself. To be able to protect Taeyang from this side of him - - the idea spoke to Seokwoo. Alexander's voice was soft and singsong, almost mesmerizing him. "I could tell from across the room that you're weak. You need blood. Take a little of mine - - it'll only take a few moments, and you'll be a new man." Seokwoo swallowed hard, mumbling to himself. "I don't want to hurt him - - " Alexander laughed, the sound triumphant as he tilted his head, exposing his throat to his ex. "Do it," he encouraged Seokwoo. "Save that pretty boyfriend of yours from harm."

Seokwoo didn't say a word as his resolve crumbled, his teeth sinking into Alexander's neck, piercing his skin, blood gushing into his eager mouth.

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ during one of his glances up, taeyang caught sight of seokwoo standing close to the person he had gone to speak to, and that person waving his direction. he made no attempt to acknowledge that he had seen. instead, his gaze shifted toward the corners of his eyes before he looked down once more to his phone in his hand, the other reaching for his glass to slide it closer upon its cocktail napkin. he had a bad feeling about all of this, and yet he was fighting to tell himself not to assume the worst of the situation. after all, he was probably just feeling a hint of jealousy over the fact seokwoo had left his side to go and just say hello - or so he reasoned. the warmth of the alcohol beginning to sit in his chest with the next sip helped a little in pushing down those feelings. he trusted seokwoo wouldn't have brought him out to a place like this just to meet up with someone else. there was no reason for that.

then taeyang glanced up, and seokwoo was no longer where he had been. nor was the man he was with. that was odd. the unease in his stomach grew a little tighter, like a leaden ball threatening to fall through as his breathing grew a little more strained. "it's fine, it's fine," taeyang repeated to himself. he took another drink from his glass, then another when there was still no obvious sign of seokwoo where he had been. or by the bar. or on the dance floor from where he could see. taeyang had consumed almost half of his drink, enough that he could feel the edges of his vision start to fuzz and the warmth in his chest spreading. he glanced at his phone, checking the time. was there a reasonable amount of time to wait before his anxiety could get the better of him? if there was, his anxiety hadn't been informed. he slid toward the edge of the upholstered seat and rose a little straighter, his broad shoulders stiff as he tried to crane his neck for a better look. seokwoo wasn't a difficult man to spot, but maybe if he just sat a little taller. but no, there was still no sign of his lover out in the open.

he was starting to lose his head. he knew that much. taeyang's next breath out shuddered his form down to his toes, and he rose from the seat, phone clutched in hand, and made his way in search of the bathrooms. a little cold water on his face or on the back of his neck should be enough to keep the worst at bay. he'd probably even come back to find seokwoo waiting for him when he was done. he just needed to stay calm and find his way in an environment he was completely out of his depth in.

@Yoo Taeyang When Seokwoo approached his ex lover, Alexander was at the center of a small group of sycophants, holding court with an amusing story, everyone laughing uproariously, calling attention to themselves for the sheer fun of it. Alexander pretended that he didn't notice Seokwoo at first, but it was clear by his body language that he was very aware of the handsome vampire. Pushing through his small coterie of admirers, Alexander pressed himself against Seokwoo in a proprietary way, his hand resting on the vampire's broad chest. "Long time, no see, handsome. I didn't know you were into the club scene." Alexander's voice was oily and obsequious as he fawned over his ex lover, and he pouted in the most blatant way when Seowkoo put some distance between them. "You still make my skin crawl," Seokwoo said, his voice flat, engendering a burst of laughter from his ex. "So cold - - you haven't changed a bit." Glancing over at the table where Taeyang was sitting, Alexander leaned closer to Seokwoo, whispering loud enough for all of his friends to hear. "Looks like you've met someone new. He's lovely. You should introduce me." Smirking, Alexander waved in Taeyang's direction, his eyes filled with undisguised disdain. "He looks like I could eat him alive."

Seokwoo frowned. The last thing he wanted was to expose Taeyang to Alexander's degeneracy. Looking back at the booth he'd just vacated, his eyes falling on the man who had given him hope again, Seokwoo could feel his disgust and anger toward his ex lover drowning him. He gripped Alexander's wrist roughly, giving his arm a tug, his ex lover whining softly, though it was obvious that he was loving every minute of their interaction. "Come with me," Seokwoo said, his tone icy. "I need to talk to you." Without looking back at Taeyang, Seokwoo headed toward the bathrooms, knowing there were several small alcoves secreted beyond the dance floor that provided privacy for the club's guests. He had to make sure that Alexander stayed away from Taeyang, regardless of the consequences. Protecting Taeyang was all that mattered.

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ the moment something had shifted in his lover's demeanor, taeyang had been able to tell that something was amiss. others could call it perception, or even empathy, but he knew that some honing of those capabilities had come upon with trauma - how often had he been talking about something of interest to him just to watch the way his father's expression change by degrees until he clammed up. of course, less so in the past several years. but the damage was already done to a young teen trying to find his place in the world. he could have been bitter about it as he took a sip from his drink, the orange peel garnish greeting his nose with that sweet orange oil bouquet that spoke of easier mornings, feeling as if he had finally found his place, regardless of where the location might be, in seokwoo seated beside him.

"do you want a taste?" he asked innocently, just to see seokwoo push himself away and rise. "oh, oh of course." he nodded as if he completely understood, but something in his stomach twisted and felt oddly cold even as seokwoo touched his cheek. the very orange cocktail sat on the corner of the cocktail napkin where he had slid it closer to seokwoo's now empty seat. at first he focused on the table, his fingers brushing over its imperfect surface. he wanted to give his lover his privacy, but when he glanced up, it was hard not to let his eyes be drawn toward the man who always stood so much taller than everyone else. he glanced away again. what did it matter if seokwoo was simply going to say hello to an old - and then the knot in his stomach twisted tighter, ouroboros eating its own tail until taeyang felt sick. he reached into his pocket for his phone and withdrew it, seeking notifs to pay attention to instead of that third and fourth glance seokwoo's way. "it's okay," taeyang murmured to himself along with the throb of the bass pushing bodies closer together on the dance floor. "don't be silly about this already."

@Yoo Taeyang The moment Seokwoo saw Alexander - - what was he? an ex lover, a blood bank, an enemy or all three - - across the room, he thought that he shouldn't have suggested the club after all. It had been so long since he'd tried to socialize that it never dawned on him that he'd run into someone who had once played a pivotal role in his life. Even though Seokwoo had lived several lifetimes, and had been hurt in more ways than he cared to remember, besides his own father's betrayal when he was born, no one had ever made him hate humanity as much as Alexander had. They had had a blood contract, and the only rule that Seokwoo had insisted on was loyalty. Alexander could not share his blood or his bed with anyone else. Alexander had readily agreed - - with no intentions of respecting the rule. Seokwoo soon felt the pain that Alexander did when others fed on him. The worst repudiation was the fact that one of the vampires Alexander allowed to feed was Seokwoo's father. His sire, who had never been part of his life, had taken great pleasure in hurting his son before he disappeared again, leaving Seokwoo devastated. Rebuilding his emotional walls around himself, the contract broken, Seokwoo had turned his back on Alexander, using blood banks and animal blood to survive as best he could. Yet here he was with Taeyang, the man who was beginning to find the chinks in his armor, staring across the dance floor at the man who made the armor necessary.

For a moment, Seokwoo wasn't sure what to do. Part of him wanted to jump up, grab Taeyang's hand and escape the club, their drinks untouched on the table. Another part of him wanted to ignore Alexander and enjoy his evening. He hadn't done anything wrong, yet, he felt like he was being punished. As Alexander gazed at him, Seokwoo knew he had to do something. It would be just like his ex lover to walk over and spill all of his secrets before he had a chance to explain them to Taeyang himself. Taking a sip of his whiskey, his finger tracing a water ring on the table, Seokwoo suddenly scooted to the end of the banquette, rising to his feet. "I see someone I know," he said, doing his best to keep his expression nonchalant. "Let me say hello to him and I'll be right back." Seokwoo cupped Taeyang's cheek for a moment, trying without words to beg him to understand before he strode across the room to face his adversary, the music and chatter of the crowd exacerbating the pain building in the center of his chest.

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ where seokwoo's attention was taken by others, taeyang may as well have been blind. he didn't see the heads turned his way, didn't recognize the leering gazes that raked over his figure all dressed in black. what discomfort he did feel in this moment seemed like a result of the loud music and the crowd and the crowd of people whose motives he always assumed to be negative unless proven otherwise - except it was beyond him that another person could care to give him a second look. and even if he had realized it, it wouldn't have mattered to him. if anything, it would have sent him beneath his lover's arm and tucked in against the security of his side. because that's where he belonged. thankfully, those thoughts slipped into the background when seokwoo navigated them to a seat. there was some sense of security there in the meantime.

taeyang's leg rested against seokwoo's, his shoulder leaned toward the older man's. "i don't mind at all. i like being close, too." he placed a hand on the table, the other sliding beneath the table to rest on seokwoo's knee. "i'll have a sidecar." he smiled awkwardly after passing his drink order through seokwoo, a little self-conscious about having to order his alcohol robed in fruit liqueur in order to make it palatable for him. the little rub of his thumb, circling over the inside of seokwoo's knee, was like an apology. however, he caught the way that seokwoo's energy seemed to change. he tilted his head, his hair falling a bit messily into his eyes for a moment. "so we can drink a little until it matters less before we dance, right?" he suggested, then laughed a bit to himself as he leaned close enough to rest his chin at seokwoo's shoulder. "you can't be getting that old, though. it's just as noisy to me. but we're here together."

@Yoo Taeyang Seokwoo didn't complain when Taeyang moved closer to him, enjoying the nearness of his lover, his smile becoming a permanent fixture on his face. Seokwoo could tell that Taeyang was a little umcomfortable with the night clun environment, and, truth be told, Seokwoo himself wasn't thrilled at the crowd and the noise, but he wanted to dance with Taeyang, so he was going to make the best of it. Seokwoo's hand slipped into Taeyang's as they approached the front door, his tall frame blocking the unwanted stares of strangers passing on the street. Seokwoo, having paid the cover charge for them both, frowned when the bouncer checked Taeyang out, the man's eyes raking over Taeyang's figure. Seokwoo made sure to "accidentally" elbow the man in the chest, muttering under his breath, "He's out of your league," relieved that the blaring music would make it nearly impossible for Taeyang to here his jealous retort. Heading inside, Seokwoo kept Taeyang by his side, surveying the room, looking for a spot that might offer the two of them a modicum of privacy. His eyes fell on a booth tucked away near the bar, and cupping Taeyang's elbow, he murmured, "I see the perfect place for us."

Heading over to the booth, Seokwoo waited for Taeyang to slide onto one of the leather banquettes surrounding the table. Instead of taking a seat opposite his lover, Seokwoo sat next to him, scooting closer, his leg pressed against the younger man's.thigh. "I hope you don't mind. I like being close to you," Seokwoo said, leaning close, his lips brushing against Taeyang's ear. Waving down one of the wait staff, Seokwoo ordered a whiskey before turning to Taeyang. "What would you like?" As the words came out of his mouth, Seokwoo froze, his eyes settling on a figure on the other side of the room. His already pale skin seemed to grow even lighter as he stared at the person who was smirking at him across the expanse of the dance floor. Quickly hiding his discomfort, Seokwwo focused his attention on Taeyang. "I'd forgotten how noisy a club could be. Must be a sign that I'm getting old." Chuckling, no humor in the sound, he watched at the waiter headed over to the bar with their order, purposely avoiding any glance in the direction of the man he'd recognized.

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ the praise that seokwoo so easily gave taeyang made his face grow warm, and very pink, almost in an instant. he bowed his head and return the gentle squeeze. "i'm just glad you like it," he murmured. the trace of his cologne followed his movements as he stepped close to seokwoo when he was tugged. "your words are fine just the way they are, handsome. and you look gorgeous, as always." the words were half-whispered near seokwoo's ear before he slid into the car and got himself settled on the backseat bench. his sleeves slid back slightly on his wrists as he buckled himself in. with seokwoo in his seat as well, it seemed natural to reach for one another across the seat and lacing fingers together, holding hands with the sort of need that days, maybe even weeks apart would instill instead of just hours.

he lingered as close on the backseat as he could, his head tilted up slightly as seokwoo found a place at the side of his neck to kiss him. his pulse quickened as it always seemed to when seokwoo was near him. it wasn't just the butterflies that seemed to take flight in his excitement to be near. "if you were, would you be composing sonnets about me tonight instead of trying to dance with me?" his teasing was soft, his thumb grazing affectionately back and forth across the side of seokwoo's hand. the whole trip to the club was spent, eyes on one another, hands held, knees brushing against one another like they were teenagers trying to flirt discreetly under the eyes of a chaperone rather than behind the back of the driver whose attention was on the road.

the club seemed so imposing when they arrived, and the second the door opened, taeyang could feel the bass reaching the pit of his stomach and making his diaphragm flutter. he wasn't used to the environment, and it put him closer to seokwoo's side the second he was out of the car. it was clear he had no intention of being separated from the older man, and yet seokwoo's statement elicited a quiet laugh and a shake of his head. he only had eyes for seokwoo. "i really doubt you have anything to worry about there. i'm here with you," he remarked, gently squeezing seokwoo's fingers before he dared to glance toward the front door and the bouncer posted there. "shall we head in?"

@Yoo Taeyang Seokwoo gazed up the stairs, his eyes widening a little when Taeyang appeared. He couldn't take his eyes off the younger man as he descended the staircase, thinking that Taeyang looked like some other worldly creature because no human could be so breathtakingly beautiful. Taeyang was naturally slender, his movements graceful, but in the all black outfit, his waist cinched tight, he looked too good to be true. Offering his hand to his lover once they were face to face, Seokwoo smiled, struggling to collect his thoughts before he spoke. "You look amazing. I wish I had a better word - - you look - - amazing." Squeezing Taeyang's hand, he suddenly remembered that the car was waiting for them, and he gave Taeyang a little tug. "Let's go. I can't wait to dance with you."

Leading Taeyang over to the hired car, Seokwoo opened the back door, allowing Taeyang to slide in first before he followed, giving the driver the address of the club, settling into the upholstery as he fastened his seatbelt. Scooting over as far as the belt would allow, Seokwoo rested his knee against Taeyang's, his hand naturally searching for his lover's, their fingers entwining. He was relieved that the driver seemed to be focusing on the road, and he took advantage of their seeming privacy, leaning closer to Taeyang, whispering near his ear. "You really do look lovely. I wish I was a poet so I could express myself well." He sighed softly, pressing a kiss against Taeyang's neck, the younger man's pulse making his own heart race.

The trip to the club was a bit of a blur for Seokwoo. In the dim light of the back seat, he couldn't help but stare at Taeyang, resting their joined hands on his thigh, his thumb brushing against Taeyang's soft skin. Content to gaze at his lover, he was startled when the car suddenly stopped, pulling up at the curb in front of the club. Using his phone to pay the driver, Seokwoo hopped out of the car, immediately bombarded by the thumping bass of the music from the club. Offering his hand to Taeyang, he noticed that a few heads turned when his lover stepped out of the car. "I'm gonna have to keep my eye on you, I think, just in case someone tries to whisk you away." Impetuously, ignoring the people milling around in front of their destination, Seokwoo kissed Taeyang's knuckles, his eyes shining under the nearby streetlight, a lustful darkness already buried in their depths.

@Lee Chanฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ wonwoo stopped his tracks when Chan worriedly grabbing his hand. he turned to look at his mate and heaves. "don't worry. it's not my blood, that bastard is lucky I didn't kill him today. please stay away from him, chan. " he lifted his both hands and cups chan's cheeks , pressing his lips for some comforting kisses, before he pulls away. @Jeon Wonwoo ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Chan covers his mouth eyes wide watching the scene on front of him, he never knew his alpha carried a gun, he should be upset yet right now he just wanted to bury himself in his mates arms and apologize profoundly for causing a scene. Chans knees weaken seeing his mates eyes bright and red. He taken outside by some of his other friends reluctantly as the omega didn’t want to leave his mates side.

The omega stood buzzing with anxiety, a hand on his chest wondering what happened. Why was Baekho in trouble with his mate? They’ve been friends for almost four years and never had an issue like this before. Seeing his alpha come out Chans felt some relief but it was quickly gone the moment he saw red. He hurried after his alpha. “W-Wonnie what.. what happened in there?” He asked worriedly grabbing for the alphas bloody hand.

"pft. you know I'm gone ing crazy yet you still dare to asked my mate to comes with you ? aren't you the one who's ing crazy right now? aahh. what a pity really. " wonwoo doesn't flinched at all when baekho pushed him aside but he subtly growl when he dared to yanked chan's wrist. wonwoo immediately tackled baekho down, stepping on his chest and grab his gun out of his suit, aiming the gun on his face while standing. "you're such lowly beta. dare to mess with what's mine when my ranks still higher than you. " wonwoo smirked as he crouched down and traces the gun over baekho's face. "ever since Chan knows you I already know something is off and I don't want to dirty my hands for now. but I shall give you reminder for whatever you're trying to do today. " he gives a look at his people who's been around. "take my mate outside. I don't want him to see this." wonwoo's eyes already changing to red one , as he gives a last glance at Chan before he turned to look at baekho with full of anger and cold in his eyes. as his people obeyed his words they quick to drag Chan away from the scene.
unbeknownst to chan, a shot can be heard even from outside where wonwoo shot baekho on his arm.

after he settled with baekho , wonwoo comes out like nothing happened. there's a blood stain on his hand but that's it. he met Chan outside and gesture him to follow him back into his car. "come."

@Jeon Wonwoo ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Baekho eyes turned daggers at wonwoo glowing in anger. “ you you don’t know what you’re talking about- Chan let’s go. Your mates gone ing crazy.” Baekho scoffed moving towards the two shoving his shoulder against wonwoo in order to grab chans wrist tugging him making the omega yelp. Chans eyes widen, what happened to his drink? Take advantage? “You’re hurting me Baekho stop.” Chan reached for wonwoo anxiety flailing up. He was getting scared now “alpha”

@Lee Chanฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ "what do you mean I'm not supposed to be here? I have a right to be where ever I want, and you think I didn't see what you did to that drink. how pity." wonwoo scoffed and shaking his head. "just because you're his friends, doesn't mean you can simply takes advantages you know. plus, he's mine. do I need to tell you twice or thrice? he's mine. this omega is mine. I'm his alpha. get the away from him." wonwoo shot a glare at Chan, and mouthed, "you're coming with me right now, and your party are cancelled. "

@Jeon Wonwoo ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Reaching for his new drink Chan was smiling unaware of anything going on, he lets out a gasp as his vision was now covered by wonwoos back as the alpha was standing in front of him in an almost protective manner. Chan was confused. “Alpha.. what are you doing here?” He asked softly looking around seeing people stare their way had the omega feeling anxious.
Baekho shot chans boyfriend a glare, “The man- what was that for? Baekho may be a beta but that didn’t mean he was a push over. He had his own cocky personality and wonwoo always rubbed him wrong, Chan could do so much better than the alpha in front of him. “You’re not even supposed to be here.”
Chan glanced between the two from behind wonwoos arm, his hand gently holding the alphas arm. He could feel the tension between his friend and lover. “W-Wonnie hyung what’s.. are you okay? Why are you here..?” He didn’t want to sound rude but he was confused.

@Lee Chanฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ Wonwoo's gaze shifted to Baekho, who was fetching another drink for Chan. Not long before, he scoffed at the sight of Baekho adding something to the drink. "Unbelievable," Wonwoo muttered, furrowing his eyebrows. As Baekho approached Chan, Wonwoo emerged from his hiding place, making his way toward them. Just as Baekho tried to hand Chan the drink, Wonwoo pushed the glass away, causing it to drop and shatter. The startled crowd's attention now focused on them, Wonwoo shot an intimidating look at Baekho. "Bold of you to assume he's going to be yours tonight."

@Kim Seokwoo ⚸ it had been difficult to say farewell, even for the matter of a single day, but taeyang had managed it. he had managed it after kisses that lingered, fingertips that stretched out to touch until the very last moment, and longing gazes delivered over shoulder before he had finally torn himself away. he couldn't recall a time in which it had been so difficult to be alone - nor one in which he immediately saw it as isolation. did seokwoo think of it the same way? he had no way of knowing, and he forced himself not to send a text to ask as much when they had been apart for minutes. he was clinging, he knew it, but forcing himself not to was a sort of difficult that he was far from familiar with.

he busied himself in the time apart all the way until he was expected to be ready to go out to a club. a walk in the park was easy - as was a night spent over for ramyeon that slowly simmered into passion that spilled into the next morning. but going out was beyond him. he had rifled through his closet three times since parting from seokwoo in search of something he thought would satisfy the needs of the night. he had thumbed past a white polyvinyl jacket, thin sweaters, a bright blue blazer, long-sleeve shirts that didn't look meant for his body but offered comfort. none of it seemed fit for a date. none of it seemed a proper fit for the man who had returned to taeyang's apartment from seokwoo's home.

when he stepped at last onto the rooftop and began his descent on the iron staircase, it was in something that stood out from his usual wardrobe so much that anyone could have been forgiven for not realizing it was him. dressed in black from head to toe, a jacquard jacket with the waist taken in to show his lithe figure, the leather waist trainer beneath only cutting an even more dramatic shape, and the paisley lace shirt beneath - its sleeves long enough to go halfway over his large hands - showed glimpses through the more sheer shapes to his toned figure beneath even beyond the fact the shirt was left ed all the way down to his waist trainer. he didn't dare look at seokwoo on his way down. his house keys were in his hand, quietly jingling and announcing his steps, until he reached the bottom, and he could tuck them in the pocket of rather plain black slacks in comparison to the rest of his outfit. he glanced up, his fringe hanging into his eyes as if by purpose, and smiled at his lover. "so how do i look?"

@Yoo Taeyang Seokwoo rushed around getting ready for a night of dancing with Taeyang. Since he'd taken the younger man home the night before, lingering outside of his place, stealing kiss after kiss before he finally managed to tear himself away, all Seokwoo could think about was when he'd see his lover again. He hated being separated from Taeyang, and even though their time apart could be measured in hours not days, he still found himself missing Taeyang - - so much so that an emptiness had settled over him that he couldn't shake. Seokwoo was still coming to terms with how attached he already was to the younger man. For decades, he'd avoided any emotional involvement, settling for short term relationships based solely on his need for blood. For once, he'd met someone that he truly cared about - - and who he'd do anything for to keep in his life.

Seokwoo tried on several outfits before he settled on a plain white t-shirt, black jeans, black boots, and a leather jacket he'd taken home after a photoshoot several years ago, Playing with his hair, he finally decided not to fight the natural wave, brushing his bangs back nervously only to have them fall back into place, framing what he felt was his best feature - - his eyes. Picking up his phone, he texted Taeyang, telling him he'd meet him in 15 minutes at the foot of the stairs leading to his apartment. Seokwoo could have told him he'd meet him at his front door, but he had yet to see Taeayang's place, and it was a pleasure that he was denying himself. Until he came clean and told Taeyang everything about himself, he didn't feel worthy to set foot in Taeyang's home. He intended, however, to rectify the situation tonight.

The car Seokwoo had arranged to pick him up earlier in the day arrived right on time, and slipping into his jacket, the leather as dark as his hair, he headed outside, sliding into the back seat, giving the driver Taeyang's address. Once he buckled his seatbelt, Seokwoo gripped his knees, sitting unnaturally at attention, his mind running through different scenarios, trying to imagine how Taeyang might react once he made his confession, explaining what he really was. Lost in these thoughts when the car pulled up near Taeyang's apartment, the driver had to turn around and call to him a couple of times before Seokwoo realized that he'd arrived at his destination. Asking the driver to wait, Seokwoo hopped out of the car, striding over to the stairway that led to the home of the man he was crazy about. He was soon pacing at the foot of the stairs, his expression anxious, as he waited for Taeyang to appear, his eyes lifted toward the apartment door, craving the first sight of the man he was missing so much.
