@Kyungsoo "I don't know about that..." Lay said with a chuckkle. "I still have much to learn. I don't really feel ready to become a king, at least not yet. But thanks." He grinned at the other male. Would they be able to meet more often when he moved to the other kingdom? Or maybe would it be even harder?... He wasn't sure about that, but the prince tried not to think about what was to come, at least not now, and just live in the present moment, with Kyungsoo stepping slowly beside him while he could hear the sounds of the waves and the seagulls from time to time.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo sighed, closing his eyes for a second. Had he really only met the prince a day earlier? It felt like they had known each other forever and his presence was comforting. Though there was that annoying speeding of his heart when Lay would do something too sweet and the was a blush seemed to want to be permanent on his cheeks when the other was a bit too close. He really tried his best to be realistic though, the other probably saw him as some cute little brother who's too naive to know whats dangerous and not. He did understand though, family is important and he could tell Lay really cared a lot about his brother and he had a feeling he was the type of person who would do anything to please the people close to him.
"Mh, I'm sure you would make a great king." He said, offering the other a cheerful smile. He wondered if he would still be living under the surface when Lay was crowned king or if he would be running among the beautiful trees by then. It was kind of funny that Lay would be leaving land for a life under the sea while Kyungsoo wanted nothing else but to leave the sea life himself. He let himself lean a bit closer to the prince, still wearing a sweet smile and he tried taking another step, not forgetting that he was still practicing to walk properly.

@Kyungsoo Lay watched him curiously as the other shook his head before speaking again. "So that's why..." He murmured, eues lingering on his friend. "They must love you a lot... Even though I think they shouldn't hide so much of you." He said as he caressed Kyungsoo's hair gently. "Land creatures can be really dangerous, you know? I wouldn't have lied to you if I had been in their shoes, but I'd still be worried. Not everyone's friendly like me." He gave a small laugh before getting serious again. "You should be cautious..."
The prince shook his head as a reply to the question. "No... I didn't want to let my brother down... the king. He took care of me a lot after all, that's why I'll do as he says." A gentle smiled tugged at his lips again, only to brighten at the next statement. "Really?" He said while wrapping an arm around the merman's sholders. "I'll try to make your home as safe as possible. And I hope your parents won't have to keep you isolated like that anymore..."

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo shook his head a bit, it wasn't that he didn't want anything to do with the royal family.. it was just that his parents had kept him very isolated.. for a reason he still didn't know, he just knew that they loved him and that's why he didn't ever question them about it.
"It's actually my parents that doesn't want me to know anything about them. I guess they just want to keep me safe.. but sometimes I wonder how many lies they have fed me." He said with a sad sigh, it had been a lot on his mind ever since he met Lay the day before, because land creatures was nothing like Kyungsoos parents had told him, and there was the fact that they had hid the fact that mermen could get legs if they wanted to. The name Baekhyun seemed vaguely familiar but in the end it didn't ring a bell. He felt really bad for the prince though, he had personally always had this big dream of marrying someone he loved and not being able to choose who you're going to spend the rest of your life with just seemed horrible to him. "Have you tried getting out of it? I.. I mean.. i don't know much about royalties so I don't know how things work.. but I guess.. having someone as kind as you rule over my home feels safe." He said with a soft smile, if Lay where to become a king of the Sea Kingdom one day he might just try to learn more about the royal family.

@Kyungsoo The prince nodded, returning the genlte smile. "It's ok, you probably don't really want anything to do with royalty." He chuckled. "Too troublesome." He shrugged. "I think it's more simple like that." There were times the prince wondered how the royal family was seen by the other people or if they even cared they exist. Of course, most of them did, but there were also people like Kyungsoo, who didn't complicate his existence by getting to know the royal family that ruled his kingdom very well. Lay's eyes fell on Kyungsoo's fingers absentmindedly. "I'm not really ok with the idea of arranged marriage... but there's nothing I can do about it." he sighed, then gave a little smile. "At least Baekhyun seems nice, so we most probably won't get on each other's nerves." He chuckled half-heartedly.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo found it hard to digest.. yes he knew that the prince was well.. a prince and had duties and stuff. But to actually think he would be married off to someone he barely knew? It wasn't like Kyungsoo could tell him not to.. even though he knew his feelings for his friends wasn't strictly platonic it was no way he was going to let the other know now. As he had known from the beginning it wasn't going to end well if he kept on crushing on the prince so he tried his best to see him as just a friend which until now had been working rather well.
"It's okay, it just came as a surprise.." He said with a soft smile to assure him he didn't need to apologize. "I don't really know much about the royal family in the sea kingdom so I can't really give you any more information. Are you.. ok with it though? marrying someone you don't really know?" He asked, fiddling with his fingers.

@Kyungsoo Lay quickly moved closer to the other to catch him when he almost fell when hearing the news. He was visibly in shock, maybe he shouldn't have told him so suddenly. He giggled a little at the merman's reaction.
"Sorry, I didn't think you would be so surprised." He passed his hand through the merman's hair softly. "It's kinda my job to move there, you know... as a prince." he trailed off, a tone of melancholy in his voice. "So I'm gonna marry your prince, whom I barely met." He shrugged. "It's soon, I don't know exactly myself." He answered the second question, a slight smile on his expression.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo almost fell over when the other told him he would be living in the sea kingdom. He steadied himself and looked at his friend with huge eyes, unable to conceal his shock.
"You are? But.. how? I mean.. uh." He started, unable to fully process how he would be able to live down there. Sure he knew Lay was gifted with a connection to water and everything but.. could he really stay down there? didn't land creatures usually.. float? He gaped at him before he calmed down, realizing that it probably had something to do with his friend being a prince or something. "So.. when is someday?" He asked carefully, he wasn't sure if it was alright to ask.. it was probably none of his business but it just seemed to strange that someone who was among such gorgeous surroundings would want to live down under the sea, sure it had it's beauty too but nothing could compare to the nature on land. But that was just his own dreams, he didn't even know any of his friends.

@Kyungsoo Lay watched Kyungsoo taking a step forward and he smiled at the determination his actions reflected. "I wouldn't have expected that." The prince laughed as well, his look shifting from his friend's feet to his eyes. He listened to him and nodded, once again being able to see how much the other longed for his dream to be fulfilled, which made his smile a little broader. "I bet there are a lot of beautiful places there. Umm..." He hummed quielty to himself, pondering if he should tell him now that he was going to move there as well. "I'm going to live there someday..." he told him after all, because he was going to find out anyway.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo gripped on to the prince's hand taking a determined step forward as he pondered over the question the other had asked. What was it like living under water? It was the only thing he really knew so he wasn't sure he could give a proper answer.
"It's... wet." He joked, eye turning in to small crescents as he laughed. "Where I live it's very quiet and peaceful I guess, there's a lot of animals that you can play with. And I often like to swim, I think the expression would be to "take a walk" if I where to compare it. The nature under sea is quite mesmerizing, with all the blue, though it got nothing on the green lush trees." He said with another longing sigh as he glanced over at the trees again.

@Kyungsoo "Yeah." The prince said while nodding, standing up as well and holding his friend, not to let him fall again. "Don't worry about falling this time." He said, a smile tugging at his lips. "Mm... How is living underwater?" Lay asked a couple of seconds later, just out of curiosity. He was to live there too soon after all, and maybe Kyungsoo could give him an idea about how living there would be. Of course, it wouldn't be the same thing, since Lay was a prince while the other male a commoner, but since he was to rule over them, he had to know at least a little, right? Even so, he expected Kyungsoo not to fulfil his curiosity fully, because since he hadn't lived on the ground, he wouldn't really be able to tell him what is different and what is similar to their living.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo smiled, grateful that he had such a kind friend. That he was willing to help Kyungsoo this much despite not knowing each other for long. He wasn't sure how much time he would have with the prince tough.. since he was surely busy with more important things than helping his mermaid friend with walking.
"Okay so uh.. let's just walk then?" He said, knees still shaking as he stood up without taking a step yet.

@Kyungsoo Lay chuckled when Kyungsoo's cheeks puffed out and smiled at the determination in his eyes and voice. "Don't worry, I won't let go. I'll be more careful this time." The prince grinned as he held onto the other. He could see how hard it was for the merman, but he wanted to encourage him.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo let out a frustrated huff, letting his cheeks puff out in the process. He wasn't going to give up just yet so he took a deep breath and his eyes lit up with determination.
"Yes, let's try again." He said, ignoring the way his legs felt like jelly whenever he tried moving them. He just wanted to practice walking.. why where they being so difficult? "Just.. don't let go of me okay?" He said and shot a careful glance at his friend.

@Kyungsoo The prince laughed softly seeing Kyungsoo sulk like a child. "Hurrying won't take you anywhere." He stated calmly while ruffling the merman's hair. "If you can't be patient you can't make your dream come true, you know?" He continued, a little frown on his expression, but his voice was still gentle. "So do you want to try again?" The smile returned to his face as he voiced out the question. He really didn't want to let his friend give up so quickly after just a little time after he could turn his fin into legs.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo hummed softly in agreement, a collaboration with the prince would be wonderful. Now he didn't really know what a piano sounded like when it wasn't a water-instrument like the ones he was used to. But he was sure it would be great.
"But it's not fair.. they are right there.. I don't want to be patient." He sulked, his bottom lip jutting out in to a pout. He wondered if other mermaids found walking easy, if they just got used to their new legs in a flash and he was just the retarded one. What if he wasn't supposed to be on land? What if his legs really weren't meant to carry him? He didn't want to cry though so he forced himself to stop thinking negative thoughts, he just needed a lot more practice and he would be able to walk and run and jump and all those things he had imagined doing with legs.

@Kyungsoo Lau watched quietly how the bird sat on Kyungsoo's finger listening to his song, and thought that he would have done the same if he were in its place. He chuckled at the thought as he continued to enjoy the merman's warm voice, which seemed to fit so well with the peaceful view which was lit by the gold sun rays that day. When the bird flew off the merman's finger, Lay watched it as it got further and further from them, then looked back at Kyungsoo with a gentle smile. "I loved the song. You sang it wonderfully. Maybe we should do a collaboration, since I can play the piano." The prince laughed softly thinking about it. It ould really be nice if they could do that some time. "You have to be patient." Lay gave a little smile at the other's whine.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo smiled back as he kept on singing, holding his finger out for the bird to land on and he let out a chuckle, quieting down once he finished the last part. The bird took off almost instantly and Kyungsoo frowned.
"I think that bird only likes my singing." He said and let out a soft chuckle afterwards, no longer frowning since it was just a bird after all. He then looked back at the prince. "Did you like the song? I know it's kind of dark but I like the melody of it, it makes me think of my childhood a lot." He said before he took a look at the trees. "I don't think I will be able to run among the trees anytime soon, walking alone is so difficult." He whined.

@Kyungsoo The prince smiled broadly seeing Kyungsoo cheerful again, the thoughts from before seemingly gone now. "I can't wait to hear it then." He said sincerely before the other began singing. Kyungsoo's voice was soft and soothing, perfectly matching the gentle melody that was flowing in the air. His eyes vlosed and pouring his soul into every note, Kyungsoo really seemed to enjoy singing, and Lay couldn't help but smile fondly as he was gazing at him. Despite the slightly dark tone of the song, it was pleasant and calming and he giggled softly as some birds joined him to listen to Kyungsoo's voice. The prince smiled more brightly when the merman opened his eyes and looked at him.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo lifted his head with a small grin, singing had always been one of his favorite things in the world. It made him feel free and singing in to the air was such a delightful feel and it didn't matter if he didn't have any powers because singing was just that enjoyable to him. He pondered about what he should sing, though it wasn't like he could ask Lay to request a song.. they where from two different worlds after all. He brightened as he thought of his favorite childhood song, the one his mother always used to sing to him when it was time to sleep.
"This is one of my favorite songs." He said, now that the dark thoughts where gone he was bright and cheerful again.

He started singing softly, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the moment and swayed a little back and forth as the wind caressed him. It was a soothing melody and the lyrics where about a lost kingdom under the sea. When he was younger he hadn't reflected that the lyrics where quite dark but as he grew older he wondered if there was another kingdom who he wasn't aware of, if the lost kingdom really existed. He opened his eyes as he was singing, looking over at the prince. Once again he got bird companions, the same way they had came to him when he sang on the rock before.

@Kyungsoo Lay could see the cofnusion in his eyes and he figured Kyungsoo didn't know about possessing any kind of power. And his hunches were only confirmed when the other spoke. Seeing the change in his expression, Lay bit his lower lip a little. Did he ask something he shouldn't have? "If it's the first time... maybe you haven't discovered them." He said aoftly after a few moments.

The boy seemed to be in thought, but the prince was not going to meddle in something that was not his business, so he didn't ask. He saw Kyungsoo's smile, returning it. "I'd love to hear you sing again." He replied cheerfully, eager to hear him again.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo pulled back a little, blinking.. powers? It was the first time he had heard of such a thing. Which really didn't surprise him.. it seemed as if his parents had been hiding a whole lot of things from him. He had never heard them even mention anything about powers, nor the fact that they could get legs. They where always quick to get him to stop talking and asking about land related things, because land creatures where filthy beings who would only try to kill him every chance they got. Kyungsoo wasn't sure why they would make such things up and why they seemed so desperate to keep him in the dark about the world above surface.
"Powers? I really don't think I have any.. it's the first time I've heard about it." He said and let his gaze fall to his hands. He really wanted to question his parents about all this but at the same time he was scared about what they would do if they found out he had been above the surface and even worse.. that he had been interacting with a land creature. Now his parents loved him he was sure of that but when they where displeased with things they where very vocal about it and it sometimes scares Kyungsoo to even think about.

He kept his eyes down, frowning a little at his own thought. What would his parents do if they found out? He took a deep breath, not wanting to keep thinking about it. After all he was finally on land with his own pair of legs talking to the nicest person he had ever met. "Should I try singing then?" He asked with a soft smile, keeping his head down but he was trying to push those other things way back so his mood wouldn't be ruined by them

@Kyungsoo "I can imagine that..." he chuckled a bit looking down at Kyungsoo. "Is it?" the prince grinned a little and ruffled the merman's hair friendly.
"Kyungsoo, did you discover your powers yet? I mean... besides the legs... You should have some kind of power." Lay asked, curious eyes looking down at him. "I read somewhere that merpeople's power is in their songs... I don't know if it's true though..." He added with a little smile.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo blinked, his face showing his fascination towards the matter. He wished he was special in ways like that, but he was just plain boring Kyungsoo who didn't have any experiences worth bragging about. His life had been rather monotone under the sea after all.
"Well of course I'm going to practice but it's hard." He whined a little, nuzzling his face in to the boys arm. "Besides talking to you is fun too." He mumbled.

@Kyungsoo Lay laughed a bit at Kyungsoo's fingers going through emoty air, where his wings were supposed to be. "Yeah, they appear and disappear. I have no control over that." He shrugged. "It is kind of weird though. I freaked out when it happened for the first time. I thought there was a butterfly ghost haunting me or something." He chuckled at his own silliness back then. "Are you gonna practice today though? You're not here to listen to me talking, are you?" He said, fake authority in his tone.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo blew his bangs out of the way, his hair had never been dry before so it was a really odd feeling to not having it stick to his face.
"I'll make sure to keep that in mind." He said and chuckled. He glanced over at the other and noticed that he couldn't see the outline of the wings any longer. "Oh.. your wings are gone." He commented with a wide-eyed look, letting his fingers go through the empty air.. not that he would have been able to actually touch the wings before but he just wanted to confirm it somehow.

@Kyungsoo "I can see that." Lay returned the grin. The prince ruffled his hair, meaning to encourage him a little. "It will be ok, you'll think about me and you'll feel better." He joke and a little laugh escaped his lips. "Well, I hope so."
It was now he notice that the pain had vanished from his back, and probably his wings as well at the same time with it.

@Prince Lay Kyungsoo blinked at the prince poked his cheek, looking up with a wide eyes expression before he smiled.
"Well, I do keep my skin hydrated." He joked with a grin. "But really though, I can tell my muscles will be sore tomorrow." He groaned and shook one of his legs in frustration. He didn't want to stop walking though, he hadn't even gotten further than the sand yet.

@Kyungsoo "Then I'll be glad to help you for a long time now." He laughed softly. "I don't think that's the case." The prince chuckled, eyes falling on Kyungsoo gently. "It's just your body is not used to them I guess. If you practice, it will be easier. It's the same for everyone, it gets easier and easier if you keep doing it. Come on, don't frown like that." He poked his cheek with his index finger playfully. "Your face is so soft." The prince giggled.

OTL T^T I got carried away when making him a vampire hunter and everything and forgot you weren't allowing vampires right now. I'll take off the part vampire thing then and make him completely human although it would've been awesome for him to be part vampire/vampire hunter. Sorry for forgetting and causing trouble. >.< Sorry again.
