Yibo came to Korea to become a trainee when he was 13 years old. He was scouted by a company relatively quickly, but he never made his debut with them despite training rigorously and strictly adhering to the company policies. he Often deals with asthma due to lung complications from his youth, but Yibo never let that define him as a dancer, as an artist, or as idol material. Half a year ago, Yibo watched his company debut yet another group of artists who entered only months to two years ago, and he decided to part ways with that company. He is now trying to start anew, and he is optimistic that one day, he will be able to share his dance with the world.

Personality wise, Yibo is slow to warm up to people but can become super attached (almost to the point of obsession) to those who manage to see him for his capabilities and to those who are genuinely invested in being his friend. Generally, he is respectful to all people, but does not lke when his personal privacy is invaded by those he is unfamiliar with. He is competitive and ruthless when it comes to reaching his goals, but he always abides by the rules and will not take kindly to a compromised victory. outside of his dancing dreams, yibo has many hobbies. He enjoys playing with legos, motorcycle racing, playing video games, skateboarding, and the occasional magic trick.
