born in a family prominent in business, he was expected to do great things by not only his parents but also by the media. "handsome oil ceo with his son, the future ceo of avarice" in capitals were all over the papers in time with his arrival. when he was about two years old, his mother passed away, leaving him under his father's supervision entirely.
unfortunately for him, he was not the miracle son his father and mother hoped for. rebellious, arrogant, and self-centered, it was fair to assume that he didn't care for the company his family worked painstakingly to build. his desires were elsewhere, a simple wish to cultivate himself surrounded by all things sublime whether that be people, décor, or food.
to his father's dismay, education was the least of his worries, and was only able to maintain appearances as long as his father donated a large sum to cover his halfwit son. his father did everything he could to protect him until he realized the outrageous numbers in his bank account that served as a direct forewarning of his son's disorderly spending habits.
after some back and forth, they both agreed that within a year if he didn't find a job to cover at least 5% of what he owed he'll have to work in the company officially. he did his best... for the first few months, maintaining jobs for a few weeks doing the bare minimum, then took it easy off the rest of the year. as many would've expected, wooyoung lost the bet and was forced to be tied down in a suit, sat in an office cubicle like some sort of slave in an environment doused in uninspiring gray.
one day, as he fell asleep on his desk, fog wrapped around his feet, and he was transported into a nightmare, doused in everything gray, afraid, and alone.
