@˖✧ ᴊᴇᴏɴ ᴊᴜɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ mingyu's grin matched the sparkle in his eyes as the glass clinked, the liquid warmth of the drink spreading a comforting sensation through him. "that's definitely a great idea! let's not let summer slip away without some memorable moments. smores and marshmallows under the stars sound perfect," he agreed with an enthusiastic nod, his mind already painting a vivid picture of the scene.

he listened intently, a gentle smile tugging at his lips as his companion spoke about someone who had clearly left a positive impact on his life. his eyes also held a sense of camaraderie, as if he could relate to the feeling all too well. yet, the mention of his wrist prompted his curiosity as his lips curled into a playful smirk. "oh, really? just a wrist issue, huh?" he teased, his tone light and teasing before letting out a hearty chuckle, the sound genuine and free-spirited, while adopting a mock look of surprise. "well, my bad for even thinking otherwise! but you know, the ming can be a creative place," he quipped, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he playfully blew a kiss into the air, his laughter mingling with the atmosphere.

"now, shall we down this beer and get another one? it's on me!"

"it really would be! maybe we should do it before summer ends? nothing like making smores or roasting marshmallows under the night sky." he hums nodding his head. "he made me want to believe in myself too.. like im not a total mess up." he chuckles accompanied with a soft sigh before looking over to the other with wide eyes" m-my wrist??? man, i told you i just slept wrong!! nothing dirty going on over here-" he blows a raspberry before gazing away, playfully shaking his head.

@˖✧ ᴊᴇᴏɴ ᴊᴜɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ as jungkook finished sharing his story, there was a brief moment of silence from mingyu. despite not knowing all the details, he felt a deep sense of empathy for his new friend, determined to be a supportive presence. "yeah, it can be pretty refreshing. hey, how about we go camping sometimes? i mean i may not know all about the outdoor stuff but i think it'd be fun." he chuckled, thinking about how much they'd struggle putting up a tent and making a bonfire. not to mention, if they could even fish for their own food. "he sounds like someone who really cares and believes in you. that's all that matters too." as they raised their mugs to clink against each others to signify the beginning of a promising friendship, he took a few sips of the beer, savoring its delightful balance of bitterness, sweetness, and refreshing carbonation. the flavor danced on his taste buds, leaving a pleasant aftertaste as he gently placed the mug back down on the counter. "so uh, you wanna tell me about your wrist?"

@˖✧ ᴋɪᴍ ᴍɪɴɢʏᴜ "yeah yeah! outdoor enthusiasts!" his eyes sparkle from the description mingyu had gave, accompanying the response with a small applause. "that's a good way to put it. I've lived here all my life so i wonder how the outdoorsy lifestyle would suit me. it really sound like a nice place to, yknow, get away from it all." he smiles softly, nodding his head as he listens to the other, taking a quick sip of his beer as he clears his throat. "that's very true. especially someone his age! i was sure i was either going to get beaten or have an earful of a lecture. but yeah.. he really is a sweet person. i was damn lucky." he trails off before nodding his head once again, a smile creeping along his lips as he raises his mug as well. "to a new beginning, a new friendship and more possibilities ahead of us."

@˖✧ ᴊᴇᴏɴ ᴊᴜɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ mongyu smiled warmly as he received the chilled mug of beer from jungkook before taking a sip of the bittersweet golden liquid and nodding in agreement with his comment regarding to his hometown. “yeah it’s kind of more of a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. it’s a good place to escape from the bustling city life.”

listening intently to his story, his expression began ti grow sympathetic despite being under a familiar situation. “i’m sorry to hear that you left home under a difficult circumstance. it’s never easy, but i’m glad you found someone who took you in and gave you an opportunity. not to mention, it’s good that he saw potential in you too even when we ourselves can’t see it.” he replied, tone carrying a comforting tone and emphasizing his understanding as he took another sip of his beer. “well, from what i’ve seen so far, i think your boss made a wise decision and lets cheers to finding a new beginning, including the possibilities that lie ahead, yeah?” his smile turned slightly mischievous while raising his mug to offer a toast to their shared journey, and newfound connection.

@˖✧ ᴋɪᴍ ᴍɪɴɢʏᴜ The bartender slides both of them beer in chilled mugs, Jungkook, sliding one over to Mingyu. "definitely a good way to just relax and get to know someone after a long day. it's nice!" He takes a sip of his beer, nodding his head as he listens to the other. "ah, gyeonggi. i heard you have some nice forests around there. great place to do outdoors stuff. the city is a little bit of a change of pace for sure." he takes another drink of his beer with a soft exhale. "i've been here for a while. i left home under some bad circumstances but thankfully i found someone to take me in. he's the owner of the cafe i work at. im not sure if he took me in out of pity or he saw potential in me." he chuckles softly, speaking in a low voice.

@˖✧ ᴊᴇᴏɴ ᴊᴜɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ mingyu's eyes lit up with enthusiasm as his new acquaintance agreed to his suggestion and watched as he signaled the waiter to order two beers. with a warm smile, he replied back, "yeah absolutely. the night holds so much potential and it's always exciting to meet new people over a drink or two." he leaned back, settling into the conversation and quite eager to learn more about him. "well, i'm originally from gyeonggi province and uh, i guess it's a good place but i felt like a needed a change, new opportunities." he said, although that was not entirely the truth as to why he moved into seoul. "plus i need some fresh air anyways. been stuck inside my apartment for a while. what about you?"

@˖✧ ᴋɪᴍ ᴍɪɴɢʏᴜ "Sure! Sounds like a good plan. The night is young and so are we." He signals to the waiter to order them the two beers, tapping his fingers softly on the countertop as he waits, looking over to the other mirroring his smile. "So, what brings you around here? Wanted to change the scenery from where you were from?"

@˖✧ ᴊᴇᴏɴ ᴊᴜɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ with a friendly demeanor, he swiftly made his way to the vacant stool beside him, settling in comfortably. resting his arms on the cool countertop, he allowed his gaze to wander over the impressive array of drinks available. "hmm, if you say so," mingyu chimed in, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes. "how about we start with some beer before we dive into the hard stuff? a nice, cold brew to kick off the evening?" his lips curled up into a playful smile as he awaited jungkook's response, his suggestion carrying a hint of camaraderie.

@˖✧ ᴋɪᴍ ᴍɪɴɢʏᴜ The bartender had slid Jungkook his drink, his head spinning as he hears a familiar voice next to him. "Hey! No no, youre fine. You saved me from starting to people watch." He chuckles, patting the seat he valiantly saved from him before swiveling around to face the front of the bar. "Got any preferences? This round's on me."

@˖✧ ᴊᴇᴏɴ ᴊᴜɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ as mingyu pushed open the heavy wooden doors, the dimly lit balance of the bar enveloped him with the scent of aged whiskey and low murmur of conversations filled in the air. scanning his eyes through the room in search for his friend amidst the crowd, it didn't take him long to find him perched on a barstool before striding confidently towards his friend to seat himself in the empty stool next to him. "hey, sorry did you wait too long?"

@˖✧ ᴋɪᴍ ᴍɪɴɢʏᴜ /he walks in, beelining for the two empty seats at the bar and orders one tequila sunrise as he keeps his foot on the base of the other barstool, reserving it for the other, he looks around with pursed lips, hoping he's not too hard to miss/

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ "oh, no no. i probably would prank you not as often. i would feel mean if i did that." Jungkook mumbles the last part, hoping not to scare away the other as they had just met. he takes a sip of his drink with a soft exhale, nodding his head. "oh yeah, auto pilot mode is a great way to put it. pfft. no often to your family's business but i feel like being a musician is more exhilarating than working at a manga company.. both are really cool in their own way! i just think one is cooler than the other."

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ A wide grin spreads across his face after seeing his little prank successfully through then nods his head. "yup, you're in the presence of a top jokester. and yeah! it's a lot of pressure! you never know who would walk through that door. would then be nice? would they rip your head off? more importantly, would your coffee making skills make their entire day?!" he exhales a sigh, feeling himself getting carried away a bit then chuckles softly before gasping. "a manga editor assistant and a drummer? damn, that's really cool. younger me would be all over you. how do you manage to balance it all?"

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ Jungkook took another sip of his drink, offering the other a soft smile
"What, you couldn't guess? A tattoo artist obviously."
He playfully gestures to his tattoo sleeve and paused for a second before chuckling and shaking his head. He wanted to play a little prank on Jooheon just to lighten the mood a bit.
"I'm kidding. I work as a baristo around the corner. It's also where I live. Got a sweet two-for-one deal going for me there. You should stop by sometime. I'll try to make you a crack caffienated drink. It'll be on the house."

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ "mhm, i understand." he nods slowly before finishing his drink, tapping on the rim to signal the bartender for another glass.
"gotta looove when life humbles us. can't always live on cloud nine."
he swivels around on his seat, taking a look at the other patrons that slowly grew around them before swiveling back to face the bar again.
"no matter how much you mask it or run from it, it doesnt change the fact it'll always be there.."
he spoke softly, nodding his head to the bartender for his new drink.
"I live around here. funny, this was the first bar i visited when i became of age."
he chuckles at the memory before looking over to the other.
"how about you? do you live around here?"

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ "Mm, I agree." He says softly, taking another sip.
"Though it sounds like you're handling it a lot better than how I am."
He chuckles softly, looking at the other as he rests his chin on his palm.
"Sounds like life tried to humble you but you never let it got the best of you. Maybe it did at one point but you've found a way to mange it. Thats quite admirable."

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ He smiles at the other before taking another sip as he rests his arm on the table.
His brows furrows as he carefully chooses his words, not wanting to come off as too overbearing to the stranger.
"well.. have you ever done something that you thought was right... until it wasn't?"
He spoke softly then turns his head as he waits for a response.
"you were so sure you were doing the right thing then the universe just had other plans for you."

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ "oh, you do have a point. and i heard that studies show that if you try new things, you get a better sense of self. or something of the sort."
he chuckles softly to himself, not knowing if that was a fact or something he saw off of Google. he takes another sip of his drink then nods his head.
"yeah. the thoughts come and go. tonight's just my lucky night i guess."
he turns toward the other with a soft smile.
"sorry, i don't think i've introduced myself. I'm jungkook."
he raises his glass to him with a slight bow of his head.
"thank you for making this less lonely."

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ JungKook was lost in his drink before he hears someone talking to him. He raises his brow to see another male somehow materialized right next to him.
"Oh, pfft. Nah. Rough life maybe."
He chuckles softly at his pathetic joke as he shakes his head at himself then takes a sip.
"Quiet and less bustling is nice but... your thoughts somehow get the best of you."
He looks over to him as the bartender slides his drink to him. He looks at the other's drink before speaking again
"Surely, that can't be your go to."

@˖✧ ʟᴇᴇ ᴊᴏᴏʜᴇᴏɴ JungKook walks into the bar, taking a seat at the counter and orders a rum and coke. Something a little bit strong but nothing too crazy.
He looks around at the patrons. A couple giggling and whispering at the corner caught his eye among the almost-empty turn out.
He purses his lips before turning around and sees his drink already in front of him.
He takes a sip before swirling the contents in the glass for a bit.
