Overview
Hi there, members of awakening! we hope you all had a good time with the plot drops; and we'd love to see the lycans continue those by having their threads (the killing of the vampire & the attack on the blood bank). however, we're going to move on to our first big event, which is actually a flashback event!
back in 1901, london, the remaining lycans urged the vampires for a peace treaty. on the night of october 23, 1901, the vampires and lycans gathered in one ballroom to discuss the possibility of a peace treaty between the two species. unbeknownst to the lycans, the vampires would soon after that night break said treaty and the cycle would begin again. however, the night proved to be an interesting one, one without bloody battles between the vampires and the lycans, but instead drinks and revelry.
involvement
everyone may participate! though this event is one that occured in 1901, we are welcoming the idea of humans and younger characters having dopplegangers or reincarnations of themselves at this event, so that everyone may participate. if you wish to change your character's name in order for the reincarnation or doppleganger theory to be more authentic, just let the admins know what name your character will be using for the event and we will place it beside your original character's name.
any vampire or lycan that is old enough to have been alive during this time will attend as themselves.
the event specifics
the event is meant to take place that night, after the peace negotiations. a treaty was reached and signed, and the event will begin with the party afterwards. treat this as any party or ball event, like in other rps if you want! but remember that only vampires and lycans are meant to be present. this event ooc will last from friday october 23, 2020 (at approximately 10 pm est) to october 28, 2020 (ending that midnight) to give everyone plenty of time to participate.
- dp challenge: of course, you will want to change your dp to what your character wears to the party. the admins will choose one vampire and one lycan (admins excluded) to be the best dressed at the party, and at the end of the event, they will be featured in the description.
- keep your posts as short as possible in order for quick progression. we know that we have some crazy literate writers here (how y :D ) however, since the event will have a time limit, we want you to get the most out of it as possible. try to keep your replies and posts similar to short para or script so as not to overwhelm your writing partners or yourself.
- anyone who joins before the event or has not yet reached the point limit by the start of the event will be gifted with an extension, under the condition that they participate in said event and gain their points via this event. if you still have not reached the point limit by the end of the event, you will be deactivated.
- for the event, since we want to promote and encourage participation, we will be turning off points in the discussion room. they will be turned back on after the event.
extra reminders
- the discussion room is not meant for constant ooc talk or to spam to gain your points. try to keep the conversation as close to discussing the rp as much as possible or we will have to take the points off permanently.
- we love to see you all bonding, but also make sure to get some threads going! the discussion room does not count as activity, and we want to see some character development!
