the ministry breaks silence
After the events of the killings, the Minister of Magic finally breaks her silence. In a recent conference with world leaders (both muggle and wizard), Minister Hermione Granger-Weasley addresses the concerns of the wizarding community regarding all of the unfortunate occurrences that have taken place so far.
As we all know, there have been mysterious deaths and sudden attacks preceding this conference. For a while, there have been speculations that these were the doings of dark wizards targeting the non-pureblood demographic, as confirmed with the recent surfacing of the ‘Mudblood’ marked murders in France, Ireland, and Bulgaria. Up until now, the wizarding community have gone under mass panic due to the lack of answers the Ministry has provided. However, in the morning of Wednesday, April 14th, ❝ The Ministry is currently working on investigating all of the devastating attacks that had happened over the past few months, ❞ informed Minister of Magic Granger-Weasley. ❝ We have been doing everything we can to prevent matters from becoming worse, but it has become more than we had initially thought that it would. The Ministry is moving as quickly as possible to get answers.
❝ Due to the frequency of attacks on those of muggle descent, we will start inspecting homes of those that are pure of blood. Though this is alarming on its own, this is a precaution we have no choice but to take. The matters have risen the utmost concern in the Ministry, and there is a chance that events are mirroring those from two decades ago.
❝ We initially thought not to alarm you all by speaking about this speculation, but we are fully aware that all of you want answers, and we have no desire to be less than transparent with you all. You all deserve nothing but the truth after what the magical community experienced years ago.
❝ But while we do not wish for these things to happen, the attacks cannot be ignored. We do not have any answers quite yet, but we are doing everything we can, I assure you all. The ministry is working day and night to find answers so we can protect both muggles and wizards.
❝ But in doing so, we need to be diligent: starting tonight, all magical ministries including The British Ministry of Magic, The Magical Congress of the United States of America, The Ministry of Magical Affairs of France, and all others will be issuing a curfew order in all of the wizarding towns and areas starting tonight at 9 p.m., and will end every morning at 10 p.m. The only exceptions are members in the Ministry. This is a precaution set forth to ensure that our people will be safe from the danger that may lie ahead.
❝ Please, we beg all of you to cooperate in order to have peace once more. The Ministry deeply apologizes if you feel that this is targeting you or your family. However, the Ministry must start somewhere. ❞
