chapter 1
lee
"stay away from the lands, lee! naughty kid, never listening to his parents. wait till you end up like your aunt!"
lee has heard this story about this aunt since the day he was born. when he was younger, they would gather on top of corals and listen to this story, shrieking at the cruel fate his supposed aunt had fallen into due to her ignorance, pride, and being too trusting of the land dwellers.

even though he was born into a time more peaceful for the merfolks, he was to join the barrage of other mermen to scout out a little further away from ttheir waters in case the land dwellers travel too far into the sea and disrupt their peace. and because of the story, little lee had followed his troop closely, afraid of ending up like his aunt. but one miscalculation with the currents had washed lee up towards the shore and into civillisation. he heard a foreign language talking over him and in fear of his fate, lee passed out while trembling on the rosy coast of la rosado beach.

he woke up the next day back in his resting spot, his father nagging him about the currents as if what happened on the coast was a fragment of his dreams and nothing more. determined to find out if he had imagined it all, the young mer-lad went around asking his fellow merfolks, but they had all said that when they found him he was dangerously close to the shores, but was still in the shallow waters.

then later while he was off to scout, lee deliberately separated himself from the pack and went to the shore, only to find the two voices from yesterday talking from near the beach. they greeted him as if greeting a kin and they had fun talking, the children seemed to be around his age too. but they spoke of a language rather foreign to him, and he drifted away back into the sea. he made the effort to study with the elderly folks and constantly try to make connections with the humans.

he soon grew close to the friendly land-dwellers as they treated him more like their own than his parents ever did, and he made his way to join them almost every other day. he slowly grew more and more fond of the land and prayed everyday to the deities and gods to let him travel on land.

by his 18th birthday, the two-legged life was no longer an ungraspable dream as lee woke up to a new ability at his coming of age. it took more begging with his parents than with the humans to allow him to be a part of their community. these nice land dwellers took im in and treated him like they were his land-parents, and even gave him a pretty human name—llŷr conway-lee, the lee a reminiscent of his life in the waters. so who even is this aunt?
chapter 2
llŷr conway-lee
walking, running, skipping and hopping, llŷr conway-lee was almost nothing like the merman he was. he was either laughing loudly with the town teenagers, kicking it back and bantering with the folks at the bathhouse or debating politics with the royals.

despite having to dip in the water once in a while, llŷr finds he fits almost seamlessly into the civilisation he once feared only to find it being a place he calls home.

but the spell began to break around the edges when war broke out after the treaty was broken, and he had to resort to his root nature and fight alongside his comrades to defend the land he grew to love. (more to be added)

in court, he is silently calculative, tactical, logical and practical. he takes as much information as he could and spins a sound and convincing solution out of it, partly why he was voted as the advisor in the first place.

outside of court, llŷr tries his best to remain stoic at most times due to his occupation, but he turns on his charm a little and is more suave when he's around men he can trust (or do without), can be a little playful sometimes. after all, he's still quite young.

i mostly try to aim for 3rd pov. though if doing first is more comfortable for you, please go ahead and do so! (i will however be replying in third as i'm more used to that. i can do script usually, but i try not to in aus. length wise, i try to mirror. i'm all about paras. not too long and not too short is the goal here hehe. anything past five paras and you can bet i will d word! jks aside yeah, let's try to keep it between 1-5 yeah?

my pms are always open to plot both rps and connections. i prefer plotting over winging as i like to feel more in control /hj HASHASHAS i'm also open to writing starters for us if it makes sense for me to do so and will usually start if you prefer that i do. i'm overall pretty flexible.

i usually err more towards rping in public places and keeping rated stuff on walls. my pms are usually for bracket-free ooc talk and will really really only resort to rping in pms unless it's really necessary/ requested.
