@ϟ Lunay Can they be helped? Surely they aren't just stuck living like that. It's not their fault.
/I try not to stare at your physique, your arms flexing as they cross over your chest. Pull it together./
I believe that we could actually do some good for one another if this petty disagreement was thrown out the window. Half-bloods especially.
/Noticing the sun has started to creep out, I brush my hair into a quick top knot on my head, brushing a few pieces away from my face as I looked back to you./
Sounds like they have other problems to worry about if they only care about losing their power.
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa Yep. Luckily I don't believe there are any still alive. All they do is bulldoze and destroy.
/turns around to lean up against the fence, my arms folding across my chest as we have a little chat.
It's all politics and the struggle for power. They're scared to let other people rule above them, or with them. So they make up an excuse saying we don't have enough power to. That we're less than. But some halfbloods are the strongest wizards known to man.
/nods my head proudly, looking up at the sky as the clouds begin to dissipate, my voice growing softer seeing as though the unicorn had dozed off. I wish I could have done the same, after last night and this morning.
They're just afraid to lose their power.

@ϟ Lunay /Embarrassed I had let our touch rest for as long as it did, I watched which reddened cheeks as you pulled your hand away./
They have to keep a gift that they were given hidden? We simply just didn’t know how to use ours. It came with time. Do you know of any that are still alive?
/I backed away from the creature, noticing it had began to fall asleep. I was happy that you had moved on to a much more jovial topic, joining in with your laughter./
So you’re saying I’m a bother? Hmm I might just have to leave you alone then.
I just still don’t understand why people are so against it. People like Tessa and I who have good intentions are of no danger to them. I can see their worry but if people just didn’t have the first instinct to shun us, they could understand where we come from. I don’t know.
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa Perhaps. You know how wands choose their owners.
/clears my throat as I begin to pull away after a few singular , the crispness of the morning beginning to bite at my fingertips so I shove them delicately into my pockets. Despite obscurials being a rather dark topic, I try to remain chipper about it by relating it to your circumstance.
Nope. Obscurials are one of the most dangerous beings to exist -- coming from a witch or wizard who is forced to suppress their magic. Thankfully you and Tessa never underwent that. It's extremely uncommon for the host wizard to survive the formation of an obscurial for very long.
/raps my fingertips against the wooden barrier separating the creature from us, a laugh resonating deep within my chest at how playful you were.
How boring indeed. My schedule is so crammed if you weren't here I'd probably have time to relax. Kidding. I'm glad you two are here, we need to have a strong resistance at this time. It's just horrible -- the implications of being anything but pureblooded.
ϟ Vanessa 5 years ago
@ϟ Lunay Eager? You? No.
And it’s made of mane. I like to think that’s why I communicate with them so well.
/I laugh as you watch intently, smiling to myself as the beautiful creature relaxes under our combined touch. I listen carefully as you talk about obscurials, only hearing about them through the grapevine./
Obscurials? I thought those were just rumors! Our parents didn’t necessarily keep us from learning just never taught us. I was always more curious than Tessa which ended up being helpful in the long run. Tess had to do a lot more studying than I did once we got the invitation. Part of me always wonders why it came so easy for the both of us. I mean we both still struggle but not as you would think.
/I dismissed it with the wave of hand, not realizing I had began spilling my own train of thought to you. Our hands still laying overlapped, I lifted my hand off your slowly, letting you continue combing through the unicorn’s coat./
We’re lucky that our parents let us make the choice. But can you imagine how boring this place would be for you if I hadn’t got my invitation.
/I give you a sly wink, only joking as I knew you very well kept yourself occupied outside of your studies and work./
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa Can't help I'm a little eager. You know unicorns are supposed to be magically exceptional. Did you say the core in your wand was unicorn tail? Or mane?
/watches carefully as you take my hand and urge it closer to the timid being, marking every move with my gaze so I could replicate it later. I'll be damned if this was the only class I wasn't the best in. But I relax again once you begin talking about you and your sister again, your backstories quite interesting.
Now is not the time to be muggle born. I feel bad for all the wizards born by squibs. Did you know this decade has been the decade with the highest amount of obscurials? Wizards who have to repress their magic and....bad.....bad things happen to them. It's too bad really.
/beginning to blabber on about this, not knowing if you heard the rumors or knew about obscurials
A parent would rather have their kid repress their gifts than be discovered as a mudblood. Don't blame them, not everyone can attend Filotimo.

@ϟ Lunay I applied for that and a few main subjects. We’ll see though.
/I cooed quietly to the unicorn and smiled as it laid its head down to rest. Composing myself after a small lapse in judgment I laughed at your comment, throwing a look over my shoulder./
You’re right how could I have forgotten. But the break was long so please forgive me.
/I shift over as you come over to the creature. I watch carefully as you try to reach out to it, turning its head at your reach. I laugh as you sigh, frustrated at its taking your hand I place it under mine. Laying it on the unicorn’s head, I move our overlapped hands softly down the coat./
Easy. You move to fast. Let them see your hand before you rush to touch them.
I’ve been pretty lucky so far. A few here and there that don’t accept but it’s fine. I’m here and that’s all that matters. Our adoptive parents definitely help but some people just still see our muggle blood. I think she’ll be fine. I’ve got her under my wing.
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa If you applied for Care of Magical Creatures, you'll surely get in. I applied for seven this year, the main subjects and a few others.
/now leaning up against the fence that caged in the beautiful animal, I watched as it took kindly to your caresses, an act that made me smile. Then at your comment I roll my eyes and toss my head back in laughter.
Can't believe you forget about my ego. I talk about it all the time.
/with the roll of my eyes I step closer and reach out to the creature as well, but it shies away and leaves me sighing.
Muggle-borns do have it a bit difficult I guess. I was lucky enough to only have one muggle parent. She seems to be doing alright though?
ϟ Vanessa 5 years ago
@ϟ Lunay Ah yes. I applied but I’m not sure that I’ll get in. We’ll see though. But I don’t doubt you’ll make it.
/I almost scoff as he never seems to be able to take a compliment seriously, frustrated that he always seems to brush everything off./
Hm. I seemed to have forgot your ego doesn’t need anymore inflating.
/I watched as you filled the water for the unicorn, wishing that I didn’t get offended by your words so easily. I stroll over to the unicorn, brushing my hand over its coat lightly, smiling as it leaned into my hand./
Yeah I really didn’t want to hear that. But I just worry. I know how it is first year as a muggle. Especially since neither of us attended Hogwarts.
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa I know, I know. In fact I'm taking the NEWTs this year, and it's only my second year. If I get accepted, and I mean I know I will so. Time to study I guess.
/raises my shoulders into a shrug as I laugh, a bit caught off guard by how serious you had become. Made me wonder.
Jeez Vanessa, I know. I don't doubt myself a bit. I'm the reason you excel at Charms.
/snorts softly, teasing you even when we were talking about potentially touchy subjects. I then near the next gate where the only domestic unicorn lay munching on some hay, and with the flick of my wand I fill up her bucket of water.
It was an A+ time for me last night. I took home more than a few. Turns out Moonember women are very comfortable with exploring their uality. Anyways I'm sure you don't want to hear that -- but yeah, I agree. She's a bit timid but I know with you badgering her she'll get out sooner or later.
ϟ Vanessa 5 years ago
@ϟ Lunay That he is. But don’t sell yourself short. You’re very talented yourself.
/Meaning what I said sincerely, I stop our stroll, placing a hand on your shoulder in seriousness./
From the time I met you when I first came you were already brilliant and you just keep getting more talented. You know.. I think you were the one to teach my my first major spells.
/l laugh as you clutch your chest in mock hurt, knowing you wouldn’t make a move on my sister but it never hurts to tease you./
Oh I saw you alright. Barely visible through the lot of girls that surrounded you. But thank you. We both had a good time. I think Tessa just needs a bit of breaking out of her shell you know?
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa He's a skilled wizard in general. Bless that boy.
/offering a few cordial hellos as well, my attention never really is drawn away from you as we chat and catch up, knowing the break was quite the long one. Though when you bring up the Moonembers I laugh heartily, clutching my chest at the mention of your sister.
What about seeing me? I surely wasn't hiding. And please -- I know not to go there. She's your sister and she's seriously not my type so don't worry about it. I do hope you both had a good time, though. Sincerely.
ϟ Vanessa 5 years ago
@ϟ Lunay Ah I knew it. Zabdiel has always been good with potions though. You got lucky this time.
/I almost laugh to myself, thinking about the fleeting moment I saw you at the party, knowing you hadn’t changed one bit over the break. I smile and say hello to some students who greet us as we pass./
Yeah don’t think I didn’t see you with all those freshie Moonembers. Be happy Tessa wasn’t among them or I might have had to kick your . It’s her first year at Filotimo this year so I brought her out to the party. Not sure how much she enjoyed it though.
/I listen as you chuckle, glad I didn’t have to sit through the disturbing details of your escapades the night before./
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa I had practice this morning, to which I was late for -- yes. But Zab whipped up this excellent potion. Hungover -- gone.
/slings my arm halfway around you in a loose embrace before we begin to walk towards the students. Gently I let out a yawn, before outstretching my arms out of my crisp black cloak, before we meet the other gathering of students.
Superb. Last night was a success, practice was great. What about you?
/once again crosses my arms as I chuckle, sparing you the details because I'm sure you didn't want to hear them
ϟ Vanessa 5 years ago
@ϟ Lunay /Gripping onto the fence line, I whipped around upon hearing your voice I knew all too well. I could pick out your Puerto Rican twang from almost anywhere./
Thinking about all the late ones that will be showing up too. Hm I thought you would be among them *Luna*.
/Giving you a sly wink, I laugh at the nicknames we give each other. I swing my legs over the back of the fence and hop down, planting my feet firm before walking to where you stood./
I missed you. How are you doing?
/Wrapping my arms around you in a quick hug, I pull away, leading us over to stand on the outskirts of where some students had started to congregate./
ϟ Lunay [A] 5 years ago
@Vanessa /unlike most arriving late because of the party, I was right on time because I had just left a quidditch session for beaters and keepers only. So when I strolled up to the stable there were maybe a few figures littered around our professor but I honed in on the familiar one I always came to tease.
What are you scoffing about, Nessy?
/my arms slide over my chest as I approach you from behind, playfulness in my tone as I give you a rather cacophonous nickname, something that always made me laugh
ϟ Vanessa 5 years ago
@ϟ Lunay /Sitting on top of the fence line around then barn, l looked out into the open field, leading to a clearing of a forest. Not really paying attention to any of the students that had walked up, knowing I really just focused on my studies in class and worried about social time outside. I scoffed to myself thinking about how many would show up late, considering the rager that took place the night before. I watched as a hippogriff peeked out from the forest, smiling to myself as it disappeared./
