The roleplay takes place in modern times, so right here, right now. However, obviously the Dwellers have been tied to the forest, so they don't know much of the modern world yet.
2. Since Dwellers have powers, what are they?
Dwellers only have two powers, and those are control of the wind (minor, compared to the guardian Kutjatel) and communication with forest animals.
3. Can a Dweller leave the forest / woods?
As of now, no, a Dweller is unable to leave the forest due to Kutjatel's curse. However, there is a way to break the curse. No one knows just what this method is yet, but it will be shown sometime later in the RP.
4. Since there are magical elements in this RP, can a villager have powers?
No, humans cannot have powers. Only Dwellers are the ones with powers. Some humans may be more in tune with certain things as they are constantly exposed to Kutjatel's residual magic, but no human has a solid power like a Dweller.
5. Why don't the villagers just live in the forest with the Dwellers?
Simple. If a villager - a normal human - stays in the forest for too long, they begin to fall under Kutjatel's curse as well due to the residual magic clinging to the plant life and animals. As such, humans try to stay out of the forest, and do their best not to get lost.
6. How far is the village from civilization?
The village is actually quite far away from any major city, but that doesn't mean they don't have technology. They rarely have visitors, but villagers have left and come back with things like games, televisions, phones, etc. Yes, you do get wi-fi out here.
