"oh um that's? n-nothing just some... uh..." he looks around the office as if looking for something until his eyes land on a tiny bowl of rat poison the janitor left behind. "rat! it's a rat. i, uh, caught a rat, yes."

"oh! hey jaebum!" he turns to offer the man a wave of his hand before remembering. "oh! silly me, i forgot i got you something for christmas!" he begins to pat himself all over until he finds what he's looking for in his back pocket. a pair of one of the many airpods taehyung stole from namjoon over the year tied together with a makeshift red shoelace as a decorative ribbon. he offers them to jaebum with a promising smile.

"oh but taehyung what's that in your hands?"

startled by the sudden intrusion, he fumbles back before seeing his own airpods in taehyung's hand as he pulled them out. "oh my god they were in my ears the entire time.." taking it back into his own fingertips, he puts it back into his case "thanks man, i though i had lost it." then turning back to his other co-worker he says "jaebum you lazy get back to work"

jaebum is minding his own business in his space, slowly scrolling through endless of e-mails that he forgot to check. with his right ear, he could hear loud rustling, but he doesn't care until the individual starts loudly talking. he slowly turns his chair around while attempting to relocate his chair with the balls of his feet, "what? airpods?"

taehyung quietly prays to himself he won't trip as he makes his way through the office sneakily. he clutches at the box in his hands like his life depend on it, the content hiding his birthday cupcakes he had just bought himself at a nearby bakery during his short break. knowing his coworkers probably forgot it was his birthday—as per usual—he has no plans of sharing his cupcakes. he stops on this track only to curiously watch namjoon before saying, "what? i can't hear you i have my airpods in, wait-" he looks around him then puts the box on nearby table to finally yank namjoon's airpods out of his ears. "what did you say?"

once again scouring the floor, namjoon carefully searched the corners of the office for his airpods. "damn it, i promised myself i wouldn't lose these..." worry lines stretched across his forehead, the employee scanned every inch of the floor for his 'missing' airpods.

She enters with her blue mug that doesn't have coffee in it but a giant pastry, she then sits down and takes a bite out of it.

leaning back in her chair, heejin stabs the fifth caprisun pouch of the day with its thin yellow straw and rests her foot on top of her keyboard. busy day am i righ— she abruptly pauses as a oddly threatening beeping sound starts to emit from her computer. woah! my monitor is all blue! that's weird.

emitting a soft sigh beneath her breath, she pushes the trash can out of the intern’s sight, now aware of how affected she was by her stuffed toys. yoongi— please, you can try to be nicer to the new kids. clearing , naeun offers a tight lipped smile to make up for the latter. your thoughts are appreciated, ... da-hye was it? just be more mindful of the different people in this office. and no. more. tossing it into the trash cans. that’s not what it’s for.

sighing as he rakes his fingers through his strands, eyeing her once more with a brief shake of his head. well. don’t put any on my desk anymore. not like you’re touching any of my , just don’t bother. I don’t like the thought of it.

just like there’s people who will find it unhelpful, there’s some that’ll find it helpful, I— please don’t dismiss my efforts. just return them to me if you don’t see any use in them.
