@⌖ chittaphon lannister the life of royalty was something yeji was still getting used to; being raised to be one of handmaidens, it was still overwhelming for her to be in situations where she was sat in front of everyone and was served like the highest person in the room.

she was in deep thought when she heard the voice of her husband echo through the great hall, head turning to the side as her eyes watched him. this wasn’t like the ten she knew at all. despite understanding his reason to be in such a disposition, it was a harrowing sight for her to see. needless to say, she knew to bite her tongue back and let him do his own thing.

yeji was the heir to the throne in her own kingdom, yes, but she was still years away from experiencing what it truly is to be in a position of power just like her father’s. being married away as a treaty between kingdoms at the age of eighteen, she never got proper exposure to how harsh and cruel the royal bloodline can be at times where it is required— aside from the few glimpses and distant memories of her being a witness to her father’s own duties as a king.

so when chittaphon declared death on the man on trial, she tried her best to remain unfazed as the knight was quick to make work. as she heard him order the handmaidens and knights to clean up the body, yeji decided it was best for her to slip away from the hall and find solace in her old personal quarters. her feet was quick as she rushed through the halls of the castle, making sure to greet the knights and workers she passed by. a few were concerned and stopped to ask her about how she felt and was met with a quick response of “i’m alright” with a small smile.

as she entered the room, despite collecting a light amount of dust from being unused, the woman felt like she could breathe properly. sitting down on the throne-like seat by the window, placing her crown on the table next to it. unable to control her emotions of seeing someone she never wanted to see again in chittaphon, she quietly sobbed, curled up in a position in a way no one can notice her in the room at first glance.

@⌖ yeji tully the great hall was still with a chilling silence despite being full of the residents of the castle, from the handmaidens to the royal court and chittaphon himself, who sits on the throne. his rings tapping against the iron of the throne breaking the silence after a couple of minutes of his own compilation.

his eyes were cold as he stared at the man standing before him, shackled in chains and surrounded by a total of six guards. "you are aware what you've done is treason?" he starts, his voice booming across the room for everyone to hear clearly. "i- i didn't-" the man began to stammer, causing ten to sit up straight, interrupting him before he could clearly defend himself. chittaphon didn't need the defense, as he had already decided that the man had betrayed him, letters of conversations between the man and his family insulting chittaphon's place on the throne multiple times being collected over a span of months. "do you know the consequences to your actions?" he continued on, standing from the seat made of swords to make a stroll down the large steps that brought him down to the same level of the man.

while chittaphon was known for being kinder and more understanding than the majority of his family, he was still a lannister, one who didn't treat things such as betrayal lightly and while he had been more than lenient on how his court acted, it was his duty to make it known that he cannot and will not tolerate such things in his kingdom. his jaw was clenched tightly as he stepped closer to the man who was now begging and pleading for forgiveness. "ah, now i show authority? I'm not letting my council make my decisions for me now?" he uttered, clearly copying the words the man as written in his letters. "my dear lord, i, chittaphon lannister, king of the seven kingdoms, find you guilty of treason and sentence you to death." he spoke clearly for everyone, stepping back as one of the knights drew his sword, and with an approving nod, the man was beheaded in one clean swoop. ten watched as the body fell to the floor, inching back as blood began to pool around the limp body.

"Consider this your first and final warning to you all. i will not allow betrayal and treason." he states for everyone, his expressionless eyes scanning the crowd of people. "that is all, you may continue on with your days." he simply says as he steps over the body. "be sure to clean that up, i don't want the floors stained." he calls out to the men who already rush to clean up the body.
