@+ xiao. His decision to text Xiao had been, for lack of a better term, impulsive more than anything. An attempt, if you will, at finding and reconnecting with more of his Teyvatian comrades. He never truly expected a to receive a response from the Conquerer of Demons.

Nor did he expect an invite to said man’s home.

To be able to stand in Xiao’s presence is a privilege in itself—one that Kazuha has learned not to take for granted. Between his dangerous work and his penchant for solitude, finding an opportunity to speak with him seems nigh impossible. Even here, in this new world, the Conquerer of Demons is still elusive as ever. So when presented with the opportunity to see him face-to-face again, Kazuha has no choice but to greedily snatch it up.

He signals his arrival with two consecutive knocks on the door before letting himself inside, toeing his shoes off just in the entryway before stepping further into the quiet space.

“Xiao?” he calls out. Not too loudly, though, so as not to startle him. He shrugs off his jacket as he crosses the threshold to the living room. “I’m here.”

Truth be told, Kazuha sending him a text felt like a sign. Xiao didn't invite people over very often, but this was an exception. He wanted— no, needed to know how his food tasted. It'd been so long since he had tried to make something so he was hoping it came out okay and was nervously anticipating the other's arrival. In fact, he was pacing in his kitchen, occasionally glancing over at his jiggly cheesecakes in thought. He really hoped he did a good job because this was actually his 5th attempt at making this recipe and if it didn't taste right, he was pretty sure he'd give up on cooking. But that aside, he really wanted them to at least taste decent so as to not offend Kazuha's tastebuds when he got here. Speaking of, where was he? Xiao's beginning to wonder if he should send another text...
