titans:
known by some as "mankind's natural predator," titans are giant humanoids that mysteriously appeared on earth over a century ago. they vary in size, the smallest being around three to four meters tall, while the tallest are normally fifteen meters (with the exception of a few abnormally tall titans). typical titans are slow, unintelligent, and predictable, constantly searching for large groups of human to feed on. however, titans that do not follow this pattern, known as "aberrants," can be incredibly dangerous. furthermore, the titan's strength vastly outstrips that of a human, and it possesses rapid regeneration skills. the only way to kill a titan is to cut out the nape of its neck, which renders the titan unable to regenerate. its body evaporates into steam soon after.
titans seem to have no purpose in life other than consuming humans, as they ignore other animals, but the reason why they consume humans is as of yet unknown. it has been deduced, due to the titans' lack of digestive organs and that they survived for nearly a century without eating humans, that the titans do not eat for sustenance.
