@hwang miyoung Chen bkinked in surprise and stared after her, a lost expression on his face. It made him look like his old self, younger and playful and full of jokes. And then his lip curled amd he was ripping the scarf from his neck. He didnt need her oity. He didnt need anyone reminding him of how pathetic he truly was. "Might need it more than i do.." he scoffed. "Wjat am i, a beggar?" Yet he couldnt help feeling slightly warm inside when his hand brushed the soft wool.
He sighed, closing his eyes and waiting in the fading light, until a timid "sir?" Was waking him.
"What took you so long?" He snapped; the chauffer flinched, but Chen sighed, too weary to be a tyrant today. "Just take me homw," he said quietly. He leaned his head on the seat and closed his eyes. In his hands was the scarf.

@kim jongdae Tiffany just stared at the male in front of her. "I'm Tiffany... Hwang..." she told him after he asked who she was. She didn't really know how to act in front of the male. It was now confirmed that he was indeed Kim Jongdae, who apparently only had another year to live. She noticed his weak eyes which had no sparks of life whatsoever. As she unwrapped her navy scarf from her neck and draped it over him; wrapping it around for him as she looked at him with a small smile. "My mom knows your mom well, apparently since their high school years up till now. They tell each other everything." she continued. "It's cold out and I think you might need this more than I do... Keep the scarf, you can give it back whenever we meet again." she said as she let go of her scarf that was now around him, keeping him warm. "Nice meeting you." she said as she gave him a small wave and disappeared into the large hospital doors.

@hwang miyoung Chen raised an eyebrow at the girl, momentarily distracted from his misery. "Who's asking?" He asked, his eyes narrowed slightly. He watched as she bit her lip, shifting awkwardly from foot to foot and fidgeting. Whonwas , and how did she know chens name? He waited a minute to see how she wpuld react, and when silence was all he got, he sighed and looked down at hisnhands, not bothering to make eye contact. She was probably just another girl whod heard about his familys riches and wanted in on the big bucks. Then again, she looked pretty well off herself. Maybe she just wanted to ask him a question? Well, whatever it was, chen wasnt in the mood. He leaned his head on the side of the stairwell, glaring grumpily ul at the girl. "Yeah, thats my name. Got a problem?" His phone rang and he picked it up, snapping out breif directions to the chauffeur on the other end, before raising his eyes back to the girl. "Well?" He asked sharply, his eyebrows raised.

@kim jongdae Tiffany bit her lip when she made eye contact with the male who was looking up at her. He looked like he was in pain and she wanted to help him out and ask him if he was okay. But she knew that he would just take it as sympathy, and she didn't want to be misunderstood.
"Are you... Perhaps, Kim Jongdae?" she asked him, wondering if she had gotten the right person.
It would be rather embarrassing if he said that he wasn't, but she had a sudden urge to know who he was.
She could swear that she saw him from somewhere and that somewhere was a picture her mother showed her. Her mother was long friends with the the guy's mother since their high school years, so they told each other everything, well that was what her mother had told her. She had always wondered if she and this Kim Jongdae had ever met, but she knew better than to ask the male in front of her that. He would probably assume that she was crazy and trying to score a date with him or something, and that would just be a weird first meeting.

@hwang miyoung Chen slumped down on the steps, lutting his face in his hands and trying to stop his shaking. How was he holding up? Damn the doctor! What type of question was that, to ask someone who was dying? He sighed wearily, running his hands throigh his hair and lloking up at the clouds, wishing he could break away from reality and just..float away, somewhere where sadness didnt exist.
Doing alright? Of course he wasnt doing alright. He didnt want to die. He wanted to grow up, become an artist worthy of his fathers recognition, make his mother happy by smiling and living life to the fullest- but things were like this. He cpuldnt look his own mom in the face, because the tears in her eyes mad his heart ache. Couldnt bear the disappointment in his fathers voice- he treated chen as if getfing sick was his fault. He wanted to live, like everyone else. A bitter laugh escaped chens lips, and he winced, putting a hand to the old throbbing pain in his forhead.
There was nothing to be done. The best doctors in the country had looked at him, and they could only give him the date- as if he might want his coffin ready when death came knocking.
"Damn it.." he muttered, leaning his face in his hands once more. "Damn everything." He looked up wearily, at the sound of heels clicking on pavement; his eyes traveled up past stylish shoes and navy skinny jeans, past a soft gray sweater, landing on the fave of the girl before him. He looked blankly at her, his eyes empty, numb.
"Do you need something?" He asked, his voice dull.

@kim jongdae Tiffany pulled up to the University clinic's VIP parking lot and got out of the car after she pulled on her jacket and grabbed her scarf. She was told that her father was at the hospital today to meet up with the head doctor of the place. They were apparently friend throughout high school and college.
Her father had taken the package that was delivered from France. When he had found out about the items inside the package, he had taken it away from her mother who was supposed to keep it a secret from her father. Her personal kitchen supplies and her homemade cook book was stored in the package and she wanted it back no matter what. Her father was really never the person who took her passion for cooking as a good thing. She was the only heiress of the family who was going to continue and carry on Hwang enterprises, not cook in a restaurant when she was supposed to run it in her business.
Being born and raised into a family who had multiple companies wasn't the best in her opinion. Having a mother who was the owner of multiple chain restaurants throughout Asia and the U.S., would naturally make her a wonder chef like a child learning to walk. She had learned from her mother, and spent most of her life with her other than he father who barely came home throughout the year. He just happened to come back home when she had least suspected him to. Why he came now? She didn't know. He always had the knack of coming home when she least needed him, rather than coming home when she needed him the most.
"I want that package back..." she muttered to herself as she made her way towards the entrance of the huge hospital in front of her. Making sure she had locked her car, she wrapped her scarf around herself and stuffed her hands into her coat pocket for warmth. Walking to the entrance, she noticed a male running out of the place and taking a deep breath of air. He didn't look so good in her opinion. He actually looked like he was about to die right then and there.
She looked at him and looked at him, vaguely remembering him from somewhere. She was shown a picture from her mother of the male and told her that he had some sort of cancer which only allowed him to live for a year. He was limited in time. If only if she knew the male's name, she would be able to figure out if he was the one she was told about.

"Kim... Jong Dae...? I think that was the name mom told me..." she said as she watched the male sink down onto the freezing cold steps of the hospital in agony.

Ah, the joy of hospitals.
NOT. Chen had sworn to himself that if he had to go through the hours of check-ups, of sitting in rooms that stank of the smell of antiseptic and a creeping hint of ammonia that burned his nose, he would end it all now and just take a long walk off a short cliff.
Of course, he was too much of a coward to go through with it- and so here he was again, slouching down in the waiting room of his new university’s local clinic, his hat pushed low over his forehead in a half hearted attempt at keeping his identity hidden. After all, he didn’t want everyone and their mother knowing he was dying- not at his new school. He wanted to skip the fake-friends and the sympathetic smiles. He’d had enough of that crap back home.
He puffed his cheeks out, kicking absently at the chair next to him and earning himself a reproachful glare from the old lady who sat beside him. He glared back. “calm your droopy tatas,” he muttered under his breath, sinking further in his seat. Then a voice was calling his name, and he stood up, ignoring the gasp coming from the old woman.
“Kim Jong-“
“Yeah, that’s me, so shut up and get moving,” he snapped at the nurse, pushing past her and into the hall that would lead to his check up room. “I don’t want everyone in the world knowing im here.”
An hour of pure torture ensued. Rubber-gloved fingers were every orifice on his face, pushing his jaw open, peering up his nose and down his ears and into his eyes until he wanted to take that damn stethoscope off the doctor’s shoulders and strangle him with it. then came the chemo- throwing up for an hour straight, how much more fun can life get? Ah, well. At least it was his last session, seeing as it wasn’t doing him any good anymore. He stood up to leave, desperate for a breath of fresh air. “Chen? How are you holding up?” his doctor asked.
A shudder ran through the frame of the thin boy who stood in the door way. He turned his head, and though there was a smirk on his face, the pain and numb grief in his eyes gave him away.
“what do you think?”
And then he was gone, running through the halls of the clinic and pushing past nurses until he’d burst out into daylight. He took great gulps of air and slumped against the steps. Damn it. damn it all.

@hwang miyoung Jongsuk crinkled his face lightly and turned to Miyoung. He mumbled softly at her. "I can still hear you. I'm not asleep yet, you know." He buried his face further into the crook in his elbow. It was hard for him to actually fall asleep, but he was going to try, at least.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Miyoung looked at the board the teacher was writing on. Math. Ugh. It was her least favorite subject, but she wasn't bad at it. She paid attention and took a couple of notes before getting off track and glancing at the sleeping figure next to her. Sighing, she examined his sleeping face, wondering if she had missed any of his wounds in someway. "He looks like an angel when he sleeps, but a devil when he's awake...." she said to herself, laughing softly.
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk shot Miyoung a glare when she sat next to him. It was math first, which he was perfectly fine at, so he saw no need to pay any attention. He laid his head down on his arms on his desk and decided to take a nap. He wasn't dumb, and he did really well on tests, even though he slept through most of his classes. Besides, his fight today, along with the fact that he had slept maybe three hours the night before, was beginning to take its toll on his body, and he felt exhausted.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Miyoung entered the same classroom jongsuk and entered. Noticing the glare that the teacher had towards him, she looked from him and back to her. "I'm sorry! I got lost and I asked him to help me out, so it took us a while to get back!" She said coming up with an excuse. "Sorry teacher... But it's only been four days since I've started to go here, I need sometime to figure out this place." Miyoung said bowing before she went to go sit next to Jongsuk.
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk didn't even justify that question with an answer before starting up the stairs. He turned into another hallway and opened the door to the class carefully. He walked in and took his seat, not even sparing the teacher a glance. When she asked him where he'd been with a chilling glare, he simply smirked. "I'm just late." He shrugged.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk "I see..." Tiffany said, nodding in understanding. She hasn't really fought with anyone at all since it hasn't been awhile since she has moved back to Korea, but she kind of got the message to his reasoning. "Are you going back to class?" she asked him with a smile.
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk sighed quietly and stretched a little. "When someone attacks, I can't just back down. I have an obligation to my family's name to fight back and hit back harder." He might hate his family, but he was obligated to serve them. All his assets were frozen until he was 18, and until then he was little more than a servant to his parents. It may seem greedy of him, but wealth was all he'd ever known and he wasn't about to give it up.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Tiffany sighed, "It's obviously because you guys are from rival companies, but is fighting back really worth it? To me, fighting back seems like your the one losing." she said bluntly. She really never knew why people had a reason to fight each other when the reasons on why not to fight each other we're greater. "It's not worth it in my case. Maybe because I'm a girl..."
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk shrugged. "Take a guess." She must be rather oblivious if she really had no idea why he had been fighting. In their social circles, deliberate fights such as this one were caused by rivalries in business or other areas. The children fought their way through their parents' disagreements and conflicts. It was how their world worked. Maybe this girl hadn't learned that yet. He scoffed quietly. How wonderfully naive.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Tiffany smiled at Jongsuk's brief thank you. "No problem!" she said with a smile. "Now will you tell me why you fought?" she asked. Witnessing him gather his things and leaving the clinic, she quickly put all of the supplies she had used and followed after him. "Yah~ wait!" she called out to him. Falling into step with him, she looked up at the man next to her. "So you're really not going to tell me why you fought with those guys again?"
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk nodded and flexed his hand gently. She had done a good job. "Thanks," he said shortly as he examined his hand gently. He gathered his uniform jacket, which had been slung over the bottom of the cot and pulled it on. Without a backwards glance, he walked out of the clinic to class. He was late, but he didn't really care. He could go back and get a pass, but he couldn't be bothered. If his teacher refused to let him into class, he could just head to the roof to chill.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Tiffany sighed, shaking her head. "If you didn't care about my feelings you would have hit me by now." She said, nodding as she finished wrapping his hand. "There. Now a few precautions. One. Don't use that hand for awhile until the new skin sets in. Two, don't scratch or go to dirty places, it might get infected. And lastly three, re bandage it before you go to bed." She said, brushing off the words he had told her earlier.
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk blinked when Miyoung flicked his forehead. "Don't do that," he said, his face completely blank. He grabbed her wrist and squeezed lightly before releasing. "I have no reason to tell you anything." Very few people knew the truth about his family, and even fewer knew about his role in the business. "And I don't particularly care about your feelings."
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Miyoung sighed, shaking her head. "It's not like I'm gonna tell anyone.. I just transferred here from France like a week ago, remember?" She asked as she put a bandage on his cheekbone. She moved on to his knuckles, putting the right amount of ointment on the messed up skin and started to wrap them in a bandage with the right amount of force. She didn't know why she was so nosy about Jongsuk's life, but for some reason she wanted to know why he got into constant fights with the same guys. Noticing how he scowled about this situation, she looked at him and flicked him in the forehead and stuck out her tongue. "Don't scowl, you'll hurt my feelings~" she said smiling energetically.
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk sighed and let Miyoung handle it. She was decent at first aid, and he wouldn't be able to properly do this here by himself. He could go home and patch himself up, but he unfortunately still had classes for the day, that he did plan on attending. "I'm not answering questions," he growled lowly, a warning plain in his tone. Miyoung seemed like the nosy and gossipy type and he didn't want anyone to know his secrets, let alone the entire school. And besides, bringing more people into his world would just bring harm to them, and ultimately back to himself. He scowled slightly, really not happy with this situation.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Miyoung sat on the cot as she watched Jongsuk looking for the nurse and the medical supplies. "The nurse is on leave for some sort of teacher meeting." she said as she stood up. "Though I don't get the meaning of her going to those meetings...She's a nurse for crying out loud!" pulling up a chair in front of her she patted the seat. "Give me that, and sit." she said as she took the disinfectant from him and sat him on the chair. "And stay still! This is the least I can do before you answer all of my unanswered questions!" she exclaimed as she started to disinfect his other wounds. She wasn't the daughter of a doctor for nothing, her mother had taught her all she had to know about first aid since she was seven.
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk sighed. "Not 4th.... More like 2nd... Don't exaggerate." He looked her straight in the eye, an uninterested expression on his face. "And I'm fine. Don't bother." He glanced around for a nurse yet again, but there was no one in sight. He rifled through the drawers again, finally pulling out some disinfectant and bandages. He began to dab on the disinfectant gently to some of his cuts, keeping his face completely still even as he felt the stinging.
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Miyoung gaped at his wounds. He had cuts and bruises everywhere and she also noticed him limping. "Can you help me?!" she exclaimed in disbelief. "What happened to you? Why did you get into a fight? Isn't this like your 4th gang fight this week?! Are you okay? Where are you hurting?!" she asked all together in one breath. gasping for air she looked at the man in front of her once more. "You look like..C.rap.." she said bluntly, before walking closer to him. "Why in the world did you get into a fight again?!" she asked as she looked for bandages and disinfectant.
lee jongsuk 10 years ago
@hwang miyoung Jongsuk winced slightly as he limped into the clinic. As he was getting older and older, his parents pushed him harder to take part in the 'family business.' And it had finally caught up to him at school. Some kids who were affiliated with a rival gang had cornered him. Sure he fought them off and ultimately won, but it was practically impossible to get away completely uninjured in a fight like that. He dropped heavily down onto a cot and looked around. Where was the nurse anyway? He leaned over and looked in a set of drawers to see if he could maybe find something to patch himself up with. He looked up, completely unconcerned, when the door slammed open and a rather flustered-looking Hwang Miyoung stormed in. He blinked at her. "Can I help you?"
hwang miyoung 10 years ago
@lee jongsuk Miyoung quickly went up the stairs towards the second floor of the school. Her destination? the clinic. She had witnessed a couple of guys coming into the building covered in bruises. Of course it was a typical gang fight between guys, but what caught her eye, or more like ears was when one of them mentioned the name 'Lee Jongsuk'. Now that got her attention. She quickly started to search for him and asked a couple of 3rd class students if they ever saw him go by. Gaining all the info she could she made her way to the clinic and slammed open the door. "Yah! Lee Jongsuk!" she exclaimed as she ran in.
