read everything here carefully - it's extensive in order to ensure you get the most out of your experience and have fewer questions.
1.The rp takes place in an alternate universe, meaning that your characters are /not/ idols or whoever they are in reality.
2. International face claims are permitted.
3. All orientations are allowed, as are non-traditional pregnancies like mpreg (the explanation for these comes from the use of magic, so go see a sorcerer if you're a gay or lesbian couple that want to have children).
↳ in addition, there is a dating ban of 3 days.
4. Face chasing wherein you speak only to your bias is strongly discouraged.
5. This roleplay is third pov and first pov. One liners are not to be a common happenstance in any room other than the IC chatroom.
6. This roleplay is not a crack roleplay. If I see everyone roleplaying in the IC chatroom and nowhere else, that will constitute an issue. Everything should be kept to a minimum, alright?
7. and suicide are not to be executed in any of the public/basic rooms. If you choose to touch upon any triggering topics on your walls/rooms, they must be accompanied with a trigger warning. Do note that indulging in such will be frowned upon.
8. The roleplay is divided into its various towns - but there is opportunity to mingle freely with the residents in each. Essentially, you may think of Ingary as a very tiny country. Travel between towns and see the sights, if you must. <3
9. With regard to the extent of inspiration by Howl's Moving Castle: we can say that you can take inspiration from the characters and places in the book/movie, but you do not have to strictly adhere. For example, Taemin is loosely based on Howl himself, but characters such as Sophie and Markl/Michael have been reduced to loose 'cleaning lady' and 'apprentice' positions that can be applied for.
10. Due to the nature of the rp and the depth I expect your threads to offer, you have a long period of time to go inactive. You have 14 days before your character(s) become inactive, whereupon you receive ONE warning. This does not, under any circumstances, encourage inactivity. I would love it if you posted on occasion and chatted in the IC room.
11. If you intend to engage in ual activity, you MUST be 16 years and over OOC and 18 years and over IC. As in all my roleplays, there will be no compromise; my roleplay will not be the breeding ground for unwitting ia.
12. please, no godmodding or metagaming.
How the rp works:
The rp, as aforementioned, is separated into five divisions. Market Chipping's a middle class town with middle class businesses and houses, and perhaps a few wealthy folk who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Kingsbury but still remain respectable. Kingsbury is where the majority of the affluent businesses and upper class reside. Porthaven is a seaside, quiet town, very peaceful and with a lot of lower class people there. Upper Folding is suburban like Market Chipping, but few businesses are here due to its residential nature and most people visit Market Chipping for that purpose. In the middle of the four towns stands the Wastes, a barren marshland that is unoccupied for the most part with the exception of Taemin's moving castle.
It's post-industrialisation as in the movie. If you haven't seen or read it, that's perfectly fine. But educate yourself on the Industrial Revolution anyway. Trust me, it will come in handy if you're a social science major. And if you're not, knowledge is good.
The rp is very immersive, almost like an rpg. There will be a newspaper that posts gossip on the upper class, so if you're noble or wealthy, watch out. There are four classes you can apply for: Villager, Noble, Magical, and Mercantile. With the classes come affixed positions, which are listed here. Check it out.
