hello everyone! ugly simple layout but you guys may know how i feel about announcement layouts okno
if you aren't aware, the holidays are coming up! some of you are finishing up your exams, or you're completely done them now and you're on break, so we've decided to give all you broke uni students an opportunity.
bobohu.com will be holding a secret santa event! a lot of you were requesting we do one, and so we listened (albeit a little late . . .)
if you are unaware with how secret santa works, it basically goes that you are given someone you have to get a gift for. this person could be a total stranger or one of your good friends.
because bobohu.com has been a bit inactive lately, we decided to take this opportunity and use this event as an activity check. if you comment down below that you will be participating, that is part 1 to the event. please comment down below before december 21st @ 8pm PST. the second part of the activity check will be you giving your present before december 24th @ 11:59pm PST. if you will be busy during christmas, make sure to do it before christmas starts!
failure to participate and give a gift to someone will result in the admins removing you from the rp.
we will be pm'ing all of you who are participating with the person you will be giving your present to. you do not have to come up with a very elaborate gift, in fact, we ask of you to give them a very simple gift such as this or this. please make sure it isn't anything too vulgar or violent, those can be gifts given in private uvu you can also send them a message, length doesn't matter just don't write the entire harry potter series.
once you have handed in your present, we will give you a special nickname such as: buddy the elf or vixen the deer so you can identify your gift in the padlet we will be compiling all your gifts in.
when you get your gift from someone, you will have to guess who they are! in the padlet you can comment who you think it was and we will tell you if you were right or not! what do you get from guessing? um.. cool points? lol

another thing i would like to address before we finish up: please remember that this is set in 2009. if you want to give your secret santa a video game it has to be a game from before or within december, 2009. also, when in the chatroom, you cannot reference certain 2009 things. this includes netflix (since netflix became a streaming platform in 2010, and even then it was only in the states). also, in the chatroom, you cannot use action language such as "/kisses kyungsoo" or "*slaps baekhyun*" since it is to be seen as an online chatroom. you can use it as a joke like i do, but pls know that you kinda look cringe if you're doing it otherwise okno
