hogsmeade, diagon alley, and much, much more!
The Christmas holidays were the time of the year when students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry had the option to go home via the Hogwarts Express for Christmas, or to stay in the castle. However, if one stayed, there were no classes for them to attend. The holidays were generally two weeks long.
Now that classes are done, it's time for winter break! As promised, we have opened Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley for all holiday threads!
Your character is more than welcome to stay at Hogwarts and visit the small wizarding village of Hogsmeade, go to London (and Diagon Alley while you're there), or visit your family in your hometown (wherever it may be).

» train stations

— a village in highlands, scotland, near hogwarts castle
» diagon alley
— wizarding alley and shopping area located in london
» general holiday rooms
— used for holiday plots that do not fit any of the groupings above. such include walks around london, visiting family members at their homes, etc.

❛ paris trip ❜ has been added under ❛ events ❜ to accommodate slytherin house's trip to paris, which they received after winning house cup. here's the brief rundown of how it'll go:
» completely optional trip for all slytherin members
» those who choose to go will be chaperoned by professor neville longbottom (herbology) and headmistress minerva mcgonagall
» traveling via portkey (looks like an umbrella)

As promised, The Yule Ball will remain open for current threads, but closed for new threads. You are allowed to continue and finish your ongoing threads if you'd like.
Also, we revamped the rooms a little bit! The ❛ information ❜ tab now has dividers, the ❛ hogwarts ❜ and ❛ houses ❜ tabs have been switched, and the rooms under ❛ houses ❜ have been slightly reordered.
