a letter: an explanation
Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well. I know that some of you are approaching finals while others are already knee-deep in them. Either way, whatever you're doing, I hope things are going well.
So I am writing this announcement as a letter to you all. Magicians has been open for six months now. I can't believe it, honestly. I don't rememeber the last time I had an rp open for that long, if any of my rps did at all. It's all thanks to you guys, really. And of course, the wonderful people who helped me manage Magicians; some of which are off the admin roster now due to their busy schedules offline. \
We have made so many memories here, and I am so glad to have met each and every single one of you. This was the most fun I have ever had in an rp, and that is because of you guys. You guys made this rp not only successful, but super fun and super memorable.
However, all good things come to an end at some point.
I was going to make a blog post about this, but because a blog could easily be buried underneath advertisements and other random content, I thought I'd drop this in here. This is meant for all of you.
I'll cut to the chase: life got crazy within the past couple of months. On April of this year, my grandfather had a and was rushed to the hospital. He's alright now, but I've been taking care of him and my grandmother since. I'm also preparing for a new semester at a new University as a transfer student after taking a year off (with the exception of a class per semester), which has been hectic too.
As of recent I haven't had much time to myself, which means I rarely have time to manage a roleplay. It has taken a lot to come to this conclusion, because I love this rp and you guys so much. Let's say I'm attached. This, in all honesty, has been the most fulfilling experience I ever had as a main admin for a roleplay. But things are too crazy, and activity has died around here, which is normal for an rp that has been open for this long. Magicians has technically been closed for a while now, but this post will make it official.
I'd like to thank you guys. I want to apologize for slacking off towards the tail end of this rp. But most importantly, I want to apologize for closing Magicians before we could finish our plot. Our story.
Who knows, maybe this is temporary. Maybe we will go through with the revamp some time in the future. If we do it, we'd be more than happy to see you guys there. Or here, depending on how we do it. Maybe we'll reconfigure the world of Magicians to be more relaxed — and open world for you guys to write in without the crazy events. That would be nice, would it? I'm not sure yet. I'd like to discuss all of that with you, if you're willing. But for now, this will be where things end.
So yes, Magicians is officially closed to the public. All of you are still free to roleplay and carry out your plots. If some of you do stay, I would love to check in and chat with you guys in the ooc room.
I love and miss you guys dearly. You have been a family to me. I'll miss seeing you guys write — I know some of you still do.
