despite being on rpr for over 10 years, i feel like i've always struggled making connections? i'm just not someone who can easily form connections ooc, i have a busy life. the userbase here ain't even that big; there's like MAYBE 200-500 (being generous) active monthly users and a lot of them tend to stay within their rp niches, which is fine, everyone has preferences.

but a lot also tend to move with their friend circles. which a bit more? idk, i always feel a little bit like an outsider when i join new places and there's always some ooc drama behind the scenes on this site. the userbase hasn't grown in years and the site is hard to use, the users don't make it better when people ARE new to the site. so you join an rp and see the same 20 users and you either know you'll fit in fine, or you'll feel left out.

idk maybe my experiences aren't universal! i'm just some gal, after all LMAO

I feel you. I've been here since 2016 and I've never been part of a friend group. My few friends have either left or the friendship simply died out after we stopped rping together. Nowadays I'm not sure if there's anyone in here I'd consider a friend, more like acquaintances.

i feel you bub. i've never been part of a big friend circle amd the friends that i've made over the years have long moved on from this website. to be honest there are days when i don't even know why i'm still here...
but like the user below said, don't give up hope! maybe eventually, among this small sea of people, you'll soon find your group of friends that will stick with you for a long time!

I'm from the good ol' days myself, but kept to myself like a hermit for years, and never really knew how to approach and break through when it came to forming connections. Today is also my first day using the platform.
