moon byulyi had lived a very exciting life so to say. that is, of course, if you're talking about experiencing near death situations too many times and not the kind of societal death. like that one time she had to defuse a collar bomb under a minute or that one time she was almost struck a knife to her forehead during training. honestly she had more adventures with sweat and gunpowder than joyrides with her friends. not like she had many anyway because of her tight schedule. nonetheless there is nothing much to tell about her than the scars on her body.
all her life she'd lived independently. no one to look after her except her bedridden mother who died just days after her commissioning. it was a heartbreaking event though she kept her emotions bottled up to this day-- to be strong for the only family she has left, her younger sister. despite not having parental guidance, byulyi stood her sister both as a mother and father. it was tedious task yet one she had done almost impeccably (only almost because of the countless panic attacks her sister went through whenever she is out on a mission).
when she finished high school, she immediately joined the marine corps and applied for a scholarship. from then on began her journey to where she is right now-- the youngest female captain ever recognized in the corps and hopefully soon a general too.

byulyi has always taken pride for being a jack of all trades from fixing complex devices to leading a squadron. she also takes pride for her planning skills because no matter what happens, there is nothing that will surprise her and she'll always be able to adapt to the surroundings. it is no problem for her to quickly defuse problems due to her strategic plans and logical thinking. along with all that, she is equipped with determination to dedicate all her time when it comes to things that she perceives require most her attention.
Reticent. altruistic. overly analytical. arrogant.
as she grew up with a need to be the pillar of her family, she didn't have much time to speak her opinions, thinking that voicing out her emotions is a sign of weakness. though it is quite hypocritical of her because she lucidly pushes her loved ones to tell her about their problems in case she can help. In contrast to her reticent and altruistic nature, she had always believed she had the right to be conceited. after all, isn't she branded as the most talented officer the corps has ever seen? although sometimes she becomes overly arrogant for her own good-- becoming unmindful of the other's emotions.
additional: she developed ptsd after a certain mission three years back. since then, she tries to stop and cope with the triggers through medication and nicotine abuse. although the symptoms had gotten better over time, she still suffers from nightmares and muscle tensions whenever triggered. trigger: crying children.
