  back patio
it's calm and quiet out here, and there's a lot of nature.
a forest so thick that it's almost like a barrier.
✦ lee changsub ˢʰ 5 years ago
@✦ kwon eunbi Considering his very apparent dislike of the motel's staff it made sense that Changsub would try to stay in a place they were less likely to frequent. He'd noticed that most of them tended to prowl the halls and rooms - especially the dining area - so the patio was his best bet for getting some alone time. From where he sat in one of the many baby pink, wooden rocking chairs Changsub had a clear view of the forest's edge without anyone else around. If it weren't so thick (and dark) he would have thought it a good escape route. The weariness in his limbs stops him from getting up to inspect it though, and the customer simply remains in his chair, creaking back and forth while dreaming of an escape he can never have.

[] sorry this is so late !! and you can respond with as much or as little as you like !! :')

@✦ jung wooseok the looming trees overhead relentlessly gave her a bad vibe and she never fully understood why. it wasn't like there was an off-chance that something disastrous would happen, she would know - she's been here for.. how long again? the thought seems to always pop-up when she wondered around the forest gathering material for potions and ingredients to enchant the treats. that itching feeling that she couldn't scratch at the back of her mind bothered her to no end. it wasn't like there was anything to relief her pain. well, unless she conjured up a mixture of potions. now there's an idea as she continued venturing deep into the forest, pausing before an old shed.

opening the creaky door and closing it behind her, she stepped in the aging shed with a heavy breath. she wasn't supposed to be here but her curiosity always got the better of her. it was time to be better acquainted of her past, that she deserved at least. she felt sweat build up on the side of her neck despite the cold wind seeping through the cracks. she had limited time to play before the witch in charge of counting the potions were to do their job. so she rushed over to grab the ladder, hop on it, and browse the countless vibrant-colored potions with the limited time she had. for a moment there, she thought she took everything into account. what she sadly didn't expect was a male voice shyly heard behind her. "what-" panicked, she dropped to the ground, shattering some potions with her.

she reluctantly got up and approached the door. "gee, you scared the bejesus out of me. you know you're not supposed to be here, whoever you are." her eyes wondered outside the shed before she finally looked down with a hand covering in shock.

(( sorry, i took forever aAA !! but here you are <3 ))

@✦ jung wooseok sooyoung raised an eyebrow, quite surprised to see the male already out of the side effects. oh, did her actions wake him up completely? she clutched onto his arm rather tightly, fingers digging onto his skin quite a bit. she leaned to her side, looking at his face. she put a hand on his head, fingers swimming in his dark locks. "momentarily insane, you say?" she repeated softly. now that she had a clearer look on his face, he was definitely wide awake. still, she had to wonder what had actually made the man to try and bite her. she let go of his arm, raising her hands up to her shoulder level. "alright, you're free," she said, and she pushed herself up, stretching her arms first with the man in between her feet, before she moved away.

she put her hands on her hips. "please make sure not to bite any of our staff or our customers, sir wooseok — unless they ask for it, of course." she then watched the lad's movements. "i assume you're capable of going to your room now, but do you still want those chocolates you were craving for?" she asked, wondering if even his craving was part of the side effects. hmm. she wondered if she smelled like the goods in this place, and if that was what caused him to bite her. it would not be strange. she had worked her for more than a decade already — or maybe even longer than that. she was not really sure. she did not keep track. she would just feel old. "i can have them delivered to your room, or you can drop by to the kitchen if you want to."

@✧ park sooyoung wooseok bent down, leaning into soonyoung's touch much like a puppy being petted. he liked it when his hair was touched or played with - something about it was just so relaxing, he could have just fallen back asleep right then and there. however, he jumped at the flick against his forehead, lower lip jutting out as he rubbed the reddened flesh. wooseok had already known that she could probably crush him underneath her thumb if she wished, but a simple forehead flick had hurt far more than he'd expected. "i'll definitely remember it now, miss sooyoung," he huffed, still rubbing at his forehead childishly.

what happened next was a complete blur - one moment, he was standing, resting his head on sooyoung's, and the next moment, he was on the ground, his nose pressed against the floor and his arm in the air. wooseok let out a soft yelp in the process, his eyes wide and stunned as all traces of sleep magically disappeared once his face connected with the ground. he was definitely awake now, and his mind was blank as he let his previous actions sink in. he had just. bitten. a guard. what was he even doing with his life? "um," he mumbled, unsure of how to approach the situation. "i was. momentarily insane? sorry? please let go of me," he winced, shutting his eyes as he tried not to break himself free of sooyoung's grip. something told him that resisting would only make it worse.

@✦ jung wooseok sooyoung simply nodded at the second guess, a smile appearing on her lips. she reached a hand up, standing on her toes to pat wooseok's head more comfortably. she messed his hair without shame, still an innocent grin on her mien. she fell back on her heels, hand falling to her side. "that's right! my name is sooyoung," she said, and she lifted a hand once more to flick him in the forehead lightly. "please do remember my name. that'll make incredibly happy if you do." perhaps that was a truth. it was not as though most of their customers were sober enough to memorize all of the staff's names. they normally would not care much about the ladies — especially her, as she spent her time outside more often than not, and roamed around the halls late at night when most of the residents of this place were asleep.

she was a little... how should she describe this? this was not the first time something similar to this had happened to her, but the last one did not prettily on the customer's side (of course, only the customers would be high enough to try and touch her, h e r of all people. her inhale came in sharply, craning her head away from his hair which was tickling her skin. when she felt his lips on her shoulder, her cheeks taking on a coral tint, her body moved on instinct, one hand clutching onto his arm, and she stepped back, foot sweeping at his leg, and the next second his face was against the floor, his arm bent behind him. it might look a little silly to have such a big man on the floor under a woman like her, but her vermilion eye shined dangerously under the shadows of her face. "don't move," she said. "oh my bad," she tucked a lock of her dark hair behind her ear, legs on either side of his torso, "you can move, but it'll be very dangerous, is what i should say." this was not enough to break a bone, but he would break one if he did something she did not like. this would count as self-defense, according to her book. "what do you think you were doing, sweetheart? didn't your parents teach you not to get too close with strangers?"

@✧ park sooyoung wooseok tilted his head at the sudden question, a smile curling onto to his lips once he'd heard the rather cute endearment. he liked being called pet names - it was an odd fact about him, but it made his chest warm with affection. "your name..." he murmured, his mind attempting to backtrack to all the times he'd seen her wandering around the halls of the motel. "was it sooyeon? or wait, no... sooyoung?" wooseok wasn't entirely sure - he was horrible with names, and he was usually to busy feasting on the delicacies of the motel to memorize all of the beautiful women's names. but still, she'd stood out to him - and his half conscious mind was pretty sure her name was his second guess.

the stairs were a little difficult to navigate for someone barely awake, his long legs often tripping up the steps, but his grip on her hand didn't waver - it was easier to balance himself when he had someone to hold onto. the question had him nodding, his voice a dreamy sigh as he continued to inhale watering scent. "you smell like pastries," he murmured. "like a crème brûlée." he bent down some more, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on top of her shoulder. she really did smell delicious, he mused, and his brain clearly wasn't thinking as he pressed his lips to her skin, making sleepy little bites with his lips.

@✦ jung wooseok sooyoung raised an eyebrow at wooseok's words, and she could not help the chuckle that escaped her parted lips, a melodious sound that filled the rather empty atmosphere. her ruby eye glinted under the moonlight, almost as though trying to show her amusement at the man's current state. all the women who worked at the motel were beautiful, almost ethereal, one could say, especially during the night, when the moon rays shined upon their pale skin. she once heard someone tell her she was pretty, even though he was about to die by her hands. she hummed in agreement. "uh huh. do you remember my name, sweetie?" she said, choosing to drop the polite honorifics. it was not like he was sober enough to care, and she doubted he would care in general.

"second floor. i see." sooyoung then led him up the stairs, hand still covering his large one. she merely squeezed back at the male when she felt him do the same, thinking nothing of it. she was then stopped by the man, having been tugged a little closer to him. she turned to look at him, opening to voice her questions, when he leaned down, his head against hers. nothing came past her brims, and she merely looked up at him with mismatched eyes. she remained silent for a few moments, awaiting his next movements. she was not allowed to do anything against the customers, not until they did something that truly required her to take action for. not really knowing what to say, she simply murmured, "do you like how i smell, sir?"

@✧ lalisa manoban sleep walking was definitely not something wooseok did on a daily basis, yet here he was, wandering the vast forest aimlessly. he'd eaten too much of that scrumptious cake after dinner, and as a result, he'd woken up completely confused about where he was countless times this week. he was sure he'd fallen asleep in the safety of his motel room, yet he'd woken up in the living room, the front desk, and in the middle of the forest several times. each time, he'd been scared to his wits but he'd relied on his instincts and his sense of smell to guide him back to the "safety" of what he now considered as his sweet home.

usually, wooseok would wake up on his own, completely disoriented as he'd take in his surroundings, but tonight was different. tonight, a loud noise woke him from his rather deep sleep - something like a bang? his eyes snapped open, and for a few minutes, he wondered where the hell he'd walked off to in his sleep once again. once his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he squinted - was that a shed out there in the distance? wooseok took a minute to wonder why the hell there was a suspicious looking shed in the middle of the forest, but there were more important things to worry about - such as the fact that he needed to get back to the motel as soon as possible. swallowing down his skepticism and fear, he headed for the shed, wondering if he should knock for the briefest moment before choosing to peer inside instead. "hello...?"
✦ jung wooseok 5 years ago
@✧ park sooyoung he took his time to squint at her sleepily, curious at the question. did he really know her? now that he thought about it, she did seem rather familiar - but in his state, he could hardly remember anything other than the need to munch on something sweet. a sparkle caught his eye and he squinted some more, finally noticing the gem that stood in place of the lady's left eye. suddenly, he remembered - she was the guard? or was she the front desk? his memory wasn't really helping him, but he smiled anyway, slightly recognizing the pretty dream lady's features. "you're the pretty lady that works here," he said vaguely. honestly, all of the staff here at this motel were definitely attractive - but for some reason, she'd always stood out to him. maybe it was the eye, or the fact that she looked like she could destroy him if she wanted to - probably the latter.

wooseok squinted again, attempting to formulate an answer to her question. where was his room again? "second floor?" he mumbled distractedly - it was more of a question than an answer. he suddenly squeezed her hand, the urge to eat something sweet suddenly overtaking him. how long had he gone without sweets again? far too long, in his opinion. wooseok leaned towards the smaller girl, sighing softly - he really wanted to get to his room so he could eat something. however, his sleepy mind supplied him with the fresh scent of baked pastries, and his mouth watered. where was it coming from? he turned to the lady in front of him and took a deep whiff of her scent - it was her. she smelled like sweets. he could hardly register his words and actions as he bent down slightly, resting his head on top of hers as he continued to inhale her aroma. "you smell good," he murmured, clearly dazed.

@✦ jung wooseok the man was still out of it, it seemed. sooyoung noted the way he truly seemed taken in by the sweets that her fellow witches had been baking. the first time she had witnessed a human become so captivated with their delicacies was... a long time ago, already. she realized once again with a start that she had forgotten how old she was. if she were to leave the motel... she wondered how it would affect her. would she die instantly? she pursed her lips at the thought, and her smile faltered for a second. however she quickly regained her composure, and she tightened her hold on the man's hand. not too tight that it would hurt, but just enough so she felt secured that he would not be able to let go of her.

"pretty dream lady?" she repeated, her right dark eye glinting in amusement. her other eye was not exactly... hidden or anything — it was simply a doll's eye, a bright ruby gem taking the place of her long lost eye ball. "do you not recognize who i am, sir wooseok?" she asked as she gently began to pull him back inside the motel. where was his room again... she thought to herself, her gaze focusing on the way before them. "is that so?" she uttered quietly. "we'll make sure to provide you with all the chocolates you would like, sir," she added. her smile was still on her face, expression pleasant as always despite no one around to see it. once they were inside the motel, she blinked and looked at the male. "where is your room again, sir?"

@✧ park sooyoung wooseok did his best to fight off the sleep that threatened to bring him crashing down to the ground. for some odd reason, the ground looked comfortable despite the dead leaves and dirt that littered the area - he really was just that sleepy. there were two words from the pretty dream lady's statement that caught his attention, and one of them was home. home. strangely enough, the only image that came to mind after hearing 'home' was his quaint motel room - the living room, dining area, kitchen, and even the showers - home to him was here. which was... odd. had this always been his home? he was sure that once upon a time, home meant somewhere else, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

well, whatever. this was a dream anyway - and considering that the woman in front of him had known his name, he was sure it had to be a dream. he took her hand, a large, dopey grin on his face as she mentioned the chocolates. just hearing the word made his mouth water, his mind resisting the urge to drift off into a dream world of sugar and sweets. "thank you, pretty dream lady," he murmured, shooting her a lazy smile as his eyelids fluttered shut. "chocolates make me so happy."

@✦ jung wooseok ah, wooseok was still out of it, it seemed. sooyoung was familiar with all of their customers, knew their names, learned their backgrounds and observed their habits. perhaps this would seem a little creepy with the others, but she would merely reason that all of this was part of her safety precautions, to ensure that most things ran with perfection. she was not one who was a fan of breaking the rules, and she hated it when others did not follow what was stated. she would like to be prepared with every possibility, and thus she thrived to act accordingly to every situation that might arise in the future.

"hungry?" she repeated. she had already figured out that he might have eaten something that caused this, as she was quite confident that jung wooseok was not a man who had the habit of sleep walking. her smile remained on her lips as she held out a hand toward the other, gloves covering both of her hands in white cloth. "shall we go back home, sir wooseok?" home. the motel was not something she would refer to as home, but she needed to make their customers think it was - after all, home was enticing enough on its own, and it would simply strengthen their hold onto these unsuspecting humans. "i'll have them bring chocolates to your room."
✦ jung wooseok 5 years ago
@✧ park sooyoung it was a fine, fine evening. the stars hung in the night sky were bright and twinkling, the moon a shining beacon of light to any wanderers that had strayed from their path. of course, wooseok hadn't noticed any of these things - not the cool night air, nor the pale moonlight, nor the bright stars. his eyes were shut to the calm, soothing atmosphere around him, his steps sluggish and lazy; sleepwalking wasn't something he normally did, but as expected, the sweet treats served in this motel could occasionally have some... odd effects.

a soft voice stopped him in his tracks, his eyes flinging open but not nearly enough to be completely awake. what was he doing here? it was quite cold, and the owner of the voice seemed rather out of place among all the trees - she was almost ethereal, glowing amidst the darkness of the forest. this had to be a dream, then. "i'm hungry," he said drowsily, fighting off the sleep as best as he could. he didn't want to seem rude to this pretty dream lady. "all i see are leaves though, some chocolate would be nice." his voice was a soft hum, eyes fluttering shut as he continued to stay in his half-asleep state.
✧ park sooyoung 5 years ago
@✦ jung wooseok night had already claimed its throne in the sky, and the moon shined brightly among its stars. most of the people that stayed in the motel were most likely asleep by then, but sooyoung was different. she was still human, of course, with witchly aspects, but she was currently the only guard in this place, and while she was certain that there would not be any intruders that would. . . let's say, try and do something as stupid as stealing from them, there were cases of the customers trying to escape. not everyone was under the effects of the sweets, and it was her job to drag them back. no one was supposed to get out of this place alive, after all.

a dark figure then appeared in the distance, and she had to squint to see who it was. it was approaching the place where she was. . . ah, it was not an intruder. it was one of their precious customers. her eyes narrowed as she frowned. what was he doing out here? she gracefully walked toward the other, casually stopping the male in his tracks. "well hello, sir," she greeted in her usual polite tone, a smile just as polite as her voice painted on her lips, "what are you doing outside at this hour? it's dangerous around here, haven't you heard?" she gazed up at the man who was. . . several centimeters taller than her. perhaps around twenty centimeters? he was too tall, damn it.
