@✦ Felix It had been a long and tiring day for the descendants of the Red Queen. They had finally crossed the river and took their first steps in the city of Euphoria just this morning and then the brothers had been bombarded with information given to them by the Council, much like the rest of the descendants of evil did. Chris didn’t expect things to be completely smooth, the tension in the air reverberating throughout the city as soon as the group of descendants stepped foot into their territory, but he doesn’t blame him, nor does he take it personally. More importantly, Felix had been able to control himself very well today and Chris was oh so proud of his little brother for trying for his sake.

The apartment that was given to them was impressive. Perhaps not as grand as their bedrooms back in the Red Queen’s castle, but for most of the descendants of evil that was not born with royal blood, this was better than what they would have ever expected. The city of Euphoria was indeed prosperous, and the Council really did mean it when they stated that they were going to share their wealth. Their new home was large enough for two bedrooms, one for each of the brothers, and ample living spaces for the common room, kitchen, and bathroom. Although Felix might have complained about their living conditions worsening in comparison, Chris knew that it was already enough for them and that his brother will soon get over it.

Propping his elbows and arms over the railings of his balcony, Chris looked toward the night sky. Stargazing was a self-proclaimed hobby that put his mind at ease and calmed him down. Felix was most likely in his room preparing for bed, so Chris decided that if he couldn’t sleep, then might as well stare at stars. It didn’t take long for a familiar, magical feeling to wash over his being before something fluttered into his vision. Paper origami birds. Every night, without fail, even in a brand-new location. But there was something slightly different in the air, as if the magic felt even stronger, more powerful. Chris let out a soft chuckle under his breath and welcomed their presence. However, he didn’t register the footsteps behind him, small steps making their way across his room and into the balcony.
