making her way into the room with her red hair falling down in cascading waves over her shoulders, she sat herself upon the couch. taking in a low breath while her fingers danced against the fabric of the chair.

I’m glad you think so. I’ve learnt that being nice to people regardless of their position in society was the best approach to things! Even if your kind are at a prominent disadvantage to mine, it’s always worth a little politeness.

That's another great compliment. You're surprisingly kind. I like that. I'll have to take this experience - Well, pieces of it, honestly - back to the orphanage. Hopefully I'll be able to convince a few people that voices aren't all bad.
And it will be fun to tell the girls that vampires don't want to break their rules, just for some human ytimes.

It's only logical to think this way, if you're going to be honest with yourself as a human.
I think, for as bad as things seem, they can always get worse if certain balances are upset with hostility.

True. I wonder if humans would have the ability to overthrow us by then. I quite hope I’m around to see it if it happens. It would be interesting for sure, though vampires have got a lot of strengths in comparison to them.

You do... Do have a point, though, about things going back. It never could, nor do I think it will, but, I do think relations could get better if more of your kind remembered their humanity.

I suppose it’s very easy to see us as villains. We took your race by surprise while you were at your weakest and forced you to become a stable source of food for us. Though I suppose you could count the fact that we helped you with things like healthcare as a positive in our favour. I don’t blame the humans that would like us gone, but I also can’t see us reverting back to hiding in the shadows again. We’ve grown used to having everything our way.

A lot of my kind have forgotten that despite the gift they’ve been given, they were once humans too.

Fair enough, I don’t think vampires would be as good at making food we don’t actually eat.
Well the conditions definitely don’t seem ideal for the amount of people there. Thank you for telling me about it. I knew they were pretty unsatisfactory for your kind, but I assumed it was more of a general anger towards vampires kind of thing.

Well, food is great, but uh, you guys make humans run the farms so I'm not surprised that works out.
Clothes are usually pretty ratty hand-me-downs from... I guess vampires? I dunno but the quality isn't great once you get to be about my age. Kid's stuff gets made or repurposed first and frequently because they're little, once we get old enough to fend for ourselves, it's pretty much just that.
Aside from that, just generally being overcrowded and kind of cult-y. Like I said, propaganda is on point, between lessons, the little TV that plays, and the older people trying to scare the daylights out of us.

I’m glad. To be honest I have no idea why people can’t keep it within their own kind. There are plenty of humans and vampires out there, they’d find someone else to mess around with in no time without breaking the law.
And I see. In what ways are they not so great? Are they giving you enough food, clothes?
